Meaningful Beauty recurring charges after cancellation

I am 42 years of age and I have never publicly complained about any product or business. With that being said i have also never had such an infuriating experience as a consumer as I have had since January with Meaningful Beauty. When I first ordered the product, my account was duplicated so I immediately incurred double charges. After canceling the second account I did not receive credit. The product double shipped a second time. After looking at my bank statement for the month I see yet another charge. I cannot tell you how many representatives have stated that the situation would be corrected and my account will be credited. I just called again and was told that I will be billed one final time in April and that will end my membership. I am shaking with fury at how violated and helpless I feel against this rip-off scheme. Sorely disappointed in Ms. Crawford and her company. Aside from the fact that the experience has been horrible, the product is sub par and does not measure up to most over the counter products. I hope this post spares someone the trouble and cost I have experienced.

I am going through the same thing. I received the product for about 6 months, and then cancelled because I found something better and cheaper (neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair) . The man on the phone said yeah sure no problem i can cancel that for you, nice and easy right? Wrong. My credit card is still getting charged and I am livid. I am currently on hold with my credit card company to report an unauthorized charge and have it canceled and have the company blocked from charging my card. As soon as I am done that, they are going to get a not-so-nice call from me so I can tell them exactly what I think of their little scam!

The saw thing is happening to me right now I told them in January I no longer wanted to be billed or sent the product and then in Feb the billed my account again so I called and talked to two different representatives and they would no longer bill me and would canceled my account and now its April and they took out double the money they did before leaving my account over drawn I am very very upset and disappointed in this company and Cindy Crawford this is unexceptionable and I just want my account fixed and they ha enter done it they just keep giving me excuses why they can't like that they already sent out the product when they have faked to do so .

Meaningful Beauty cancel my order because of health reasons

I want to cancel my order for the Meaningful Beauty Kits by Cindy Crawford. I cannot use the makeup as Iam going thru chemo treatments and I cannot use the makeup. I only use a little of the first kit and I am sending it back. I have called to cancel and also went on computer to cancel but I haven't had any results just a cancellation number [protected]. I have already been billed for the second kit, but I have not received it yet. I will also return that as soon as I received it.

Meaningful Beauty taking money from my acount

I purchased a ppackage of meaningful beauty, but they keep taking money out of my accout, saying when i ordered the product, i automatically signed up for renewals every month. I never would have done that without trying the porduct. I now cannot get them to stop taking money out of my accout even though i have called twice.

I am not happy with the products put in tubes versus jars. The tubes retain at least 1/3 of the product which cannot be used unless tube is cut open to get remaining amount. I feel cheated every time I have to cut a tube and transfer the remaining amount into another container. Why do you stop glass and transfer to a form of plastic. Glass can recycled!

Don't allow charges or automatic deductions from your credit card or any account. Insist on invoices with shipments. You are allowed returns on any items within 30 days on regular orders. I have found dealing with some of their telephone reps unpleasant. Read the fine print, always.

And whatever the 'free trial period' is, it starts THE DAY YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER' and not whenever you get it in the mail. So, say your free trial period if for 14 days and you receiver the product in the mail 8 days after you place your order. This means that you have 6 days of your 14 day 'Free Trial offer' left. and not the full 14 as you might think.

They have a "AUTO SHIP" program that you would have know about had you read the "Terms & Service" agreement that is clearly written on their site.

I ordered the "Introductory" package on TV. I only ordered the skin care. Apparently they also sent me vitamins, which I never ordered. I didn't like the skincare so I returned it and cancelled. They sent another shipment anyway so I returned that. And now they want $106 for the vitamins I never ordered and never received. Had I received them I would have...

Meaningful Beauty unauthorized shipments and charges

I ordered the cosmetic trial for my wife. They advertise to try it for 30 days and if you like it do nothing and you will continue to receive shipments and charges each month, or cancel within 30 days to stop the process. I ordered on May 2 and canceled on May 15. I received no further shipments/charges until Nov 15. When I called Meaningful Beauty they explained that the Rep had placed the account in a hold status until Nov and had not cancelled because I had said that my wife did like the make-up. They said it was my responsibility to call before Nov. I told them that I never authorized that. My call was to cancel future shipments. They told me that I could return the shipment and they would credit me less shipping and handling. I told them that was ridiculous and that I was not responsible for S&H on a product I didn't order. They backed off of hte S&H, but then told me it will take 2-3 weeks to receive the return shipping label, then 6-8 weeks for a refund. All told about 3 months to get a refund on their "no risk" trial offer. I will never order from them again. Be careful ordering from a company like this.

Meaningful Beauty refund

I originally order the Meaningful Beauty from infor commercial on T.V, as I placed the order I was asked about future auto shipments, I explained to customer service that I did not want to do that, because I would like to try the product before I committed to this arrangment. I was assured then that this was a one time delivery and that if I liked the product I would end up paying more if I didn;t do auto ship, again I told then no I didnt' want this auto shipment, I received the product and tried it, was not a product that was worth the money, so I was glad that I didn't do the auto shipment! But was I in for a rude awaking, lo and behold I got a shipment. I immediately contacted customer service and complainted about this shipment, of course I got some guy that had a attitude (that's another story), long story short, product was send back at my expense, which was in October around the 21st. My bank account has not been credited for the amount taken out. I called today to check on the status and of course they tell me they haven't gotten conformation that the product has been received, and it could take up to 6 weeks for this. I'm so mad because they didn't have any problem taking money from my account that was not authorized to do so. I will never order anything else from this company or any product that has Guthy Renker, CIndy Crawford attached to it.

BEWARE! I thought the kit I bought was 39.95 per kit. NOT THE CASE! It actually is 39.95 per month which ends up being 128.00. Ridiculous, and very misleading. I called customer service and they said I could return the unopened kit for a refund but it would take 6 weeks at least for me to get a refund. And while I am waiting for my refund, they will continue taking 39.95 out of my account EVERY month. Very dissatisfied!

Meaningful Beauty terrible!

Oh this company is terrible! I ordered from the infomercial. Received my package. I called by the date they told me to to postpone my order. The guy on the line said that the postponement was done and said that I would not be sent another packege, nor billed, until 6 months from then. Well, two days later I checked my bank account. They had drafted $48! I called back. Spoke with someone else. She said that the package had already been mailed out at the time I spoke with rep #1. Well, why didnt he tell me that? And two, why was it mailed out so soon when they had told me to call by the date I did in order to postpone? I was so upset. I finally got the package about 10 days later. First they told me how to return it. I asked it I would have to pay for shipping. They said "unfortunately so". Then I got her to agree to send me a return label. So I had to wait even lnoger for that. As soon as the package came, I sent it right back. It's been days. I called to see if they had gotten the return. And they said that there is "no way they can see that". And that I would have to check my tracking number. Well, I dont have a tracking number! And then I asked how long after they got the package back that I would see a refund in my account. They told me 4-6 weeks! This is absolutely absurd and ridiculous!

I returned over $128.00 worth of meaningful beauty on Sept 6th. Here it is Nov. 15th, and still no refund. I called many times to check the status...and I always lied to. I was told 4-6 weeks for a refund, then 6-8, then 8-12. I so peeved because I cancelled my last shipment, but the company sent me their product anyway! What a bunch of bull. I will contact the BBB.

Meaningful Beauty won't refund my money

Do not order from this company! First of all, the products you receive are tiny! Does it work? Who cares! The fact that they scam you into "auto pay" and charges will keep hitting your account and you will receive bogus vitamins without your authorization. I cancelled future shipments immediately and I still got charged three times. I ended up cancelling four times now and they still tell me that you will not see your credit until they receive their product back. A product I never ordered! Do not order from this company! And anyone who does and gets scammed, keep posting complaints and writing letters until they are out of business!

I ordered one day, got my package in two days of the 7 piece set of Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty. I call immediately after opening it to see how small the items are and to find out that I will be billed $50.00 + dollars a month for a three month supply. I called the number provided, explained that I had not opened anything; hadn't even taken it out of the box and wanted to get a return address. NO WAY! Not only would they not give ma a return address, they kept insisting I try it first and then return it! I called thee times; by then, I was very angry! I was then told I was being mailed a return label. Her it is three days later, and I get an e-mail saying my 60 day trial period has passed and no refund/no return! Thank goodness I bought it with paypal! They are taking care of it now! Do NOT BUY! If you do, use paypal! Ha! My sister-in-law is actually friends with Cindy Crawford! I sent her the info and messages, too!

Meaningful Beauty charged for products I never ordered

I ordered a trial kit and cancelled to make sure they wouldn't auto deliver any products and they shipped products to me not once, but TWICE without my authorization, charged my credit card without my authorization and would not refund the shipping. I have sent numerous e-mails and have called. This is a scam operation by a wealthy former "super" model who certainly doesn't need the money.

Meaningful Beauty misrepresentation

I fell for a infomercial on Sunday a.m. for Meaningful Beauty'; ordered the product and an hour later the charges showed up 3 times the amount that I was told on the phone. I tried to cancel the order calling the 800 number everyday for the next 3 days and they could not find my order. They found my bank account, but could not find my order, CONVENIENT! Needless to say my account has been charged way more that I agreed to and I have to wait to receive the product and then return it and then WAIT on them to refund. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM or INFOMERCIAL! Look at all of the complaints on the WEB.

Meaningful Beauty money withdrawn from account

I ordered a 1-month trial for Meaningful Beauty through WEN Haircare. This trial was $25. I received the trial kit, didn't think much of it, the products seemed mediocre, at best. Not even 1 month later, I look at my bank statement and see they have taken $95 out of my account. The WEN Haircare sales person was extremely deceptive regarding how Meaningful Beauty operates and I was blindsided with this charge on my account. I called the Meaningful Beauty 800 number to cancel all future shipments and charges-the representative from this company was rude and had no customer service at all. She told me to send the next shipment back to sender and I would be refunded the money in 4 to 6 weeks. I have still not received any shipment from them and I have not been refunded anything. This is called theft and there should be charges brought up.

Meaningful Beauty product return

Based on my sister’s recommendation I ordered a trial package for the skincare, which I was not too happy because they force me to order the vitamins. I was not even happy with the products and vitamins so I called customer service to cancel the membership. A few weeks later I received a second shipment on both. I immediately returned the 2 packages to the Post Office and called customer service to remind them about the membership cancellation and that I was waiting for my credit. Three weeks have gone by and still calling customer service, they tell me that they are still waiting to get the returned packages to credit my account and stop future shipments. To solve for this nonsense, I called my credit card company to block the charges from this merchant.
Is Cindy Crawford aware of this issue? This is a SCAM, do not order from them.

I USED TO WORK FOR THE POSTAL SERVICE AND WOULD SEE MANY, MANY OF THESE RETURNS, MOST FROM PUERTO RICO AND U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS. THE COMPANY INCLUDES A PRE-PAID SELF ADDRESSED LABEL TO ENSURE THE PRODUCT IS RETURNED PROPERLY, MOST CUSTOMERS HAVE BEEN IGNORING THIS AND PAYING MONEY THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. THE PRODUCT SHOULDN'T BE RETURNED TO THE COMPANY NOT THE POSTAL SERVICE.

Meaningful Beauty unapproved charges

BY FAR- the WORST on line shopping experience I have ever had!
After seeing the introductory price on the many commercials in May, I decided to try the product. May came and went, wrote an email to customer service to ask where the shipment was. Requested a tracking number to find it myself. Was told that the shipments are sent out in bulk from Canada Post, so they could not provide me a shipping number.(?) June came and went, still no product. Card has now been charged a variety of amounts ( anywhere from $39.99- 64.99) without my consent. It is now Aug.26. I still have yet to receive the first order from May, but have "automatically been renewed" without permisssion for June, July and Aug. I will never endorse Meaningful Beauty to anyone, the amount of time and energy that has been spent in an attempt to gain any satisfaction from this company has just been not worth it.

Meaninful Beauty product is fine; the service however is terrible. I purchased from their website in January 2011 a 40$ product. In Febuary, I saw 40$ charge to my bank account from this company, and called to ask about this. The service person was extremely rude and condesending- I had unknowingly signed up for a monthly renewel product without my express consent. I literally had to beg to have my account closed, which he did after a few snarky comments. Two weeks later, I called again because I had not received a confirmation email, and was concered that service provider had not done what I asked. I was assured my account was closed. And yet, in March I got ANOTHER 40$ charge to my bank account! I called again, and it was only on this THIRD phone call, that I was told I had been automatically upgraded to a 120$ product; apparently they had broken this into 40 dollar installments- I would be getting another charge next month. So, not only was I enrolled in an automated service without knowing it, I was charged 3x the price on the next purchase without my knowledge or consent! Just a fair warning to all those planning on purchasing the product in the future.

Meaningful Beauty money scam

So similar to other complaints - taking money without authorization! I originally ordered a trial kit and was charged the amount advertised. Then, even though I cancelled the account I rec'd a second shipment a couple of months later, being charged $139 approximately. I called and argued with them. They finally told me to put "return to sender" since I hadn't opened yet. Because I hadn't shipped certified they continued charging me. I was able to get AMEX to delete the charges but then was billed directly from the company. After 4 months of trying to get proof of the transaction they ignored every request & was sending to collections if I didn't pay. Needless to say, I finally paid to keep my credit clean!

I had the exact thing happen to me this week. I called and cancelled after I received the trial kit about 6 months ago. Lo and behold, a new kit shows up at my door last week with a shipping document indicating they were charging my credit card $149. I called and in addition to it being very difficult to get a hold of someone, they were very rude to me. Finally they said to send the whole package back. When my husband called up to confirm the mailing address, they told me that because I pulled the shipping label off the package (the return instructions are on the back of the label) that they would not accept the package back as this constituted us having opening the package and they would not accept returns on opened packages. What? We're sending it back anyway and I filed a contested charge with the credit card company. Not sure if this is a scam with the whole company or whether they have poorly trained employees handling calls.

Meaningful Beauty committed me to their and another company's products

Ordered the Meaningful Beauty starter special. As a bonus they sent me some vitamins. Did not feel the items lived up to their hype, so I called and canceled my membership. Imagine my surprise when the vitamins kept on coming! When I called meaningful beauty about this they said they couldn't help me I had to call another number as this wasn't their product! How can meaningful beauty make a commitment on my behalf to another company's product? BEWARE WHEN YOU ORDER ANY MEANINGFUL BEAUTY PRODUCTS - THEY WILL SET YOU UP ON AUTO SHIP SYSTEM FOR THEIR PRODUCTS AND OTHER company's PRODUCTS. I find this to be a fraudulent business practice.

Meaningful Beauty fraudulent ad/ misrepresentation

I ordered the Cindy Crawford beauty kit and they sneak their vitamins in the 30-day trial package. I cancelled my account because I did not think the product was worthy of the price since I had lost my job. They didn't tell me that the vitamins were not part of my order but came from a different division. I was continually sent vitamins and charged $32.94 a month. Here's the catch: I didn't figure this out until seven months later because I was in an automobile accident and was severely injured. (SUV flipped). I'm catching up on my banking and looking at checking statements and wonder why I'm paying this money each month and have boxes piled up by my door. I called the company and they basically said "Too bad for you. You didn't call within the allotted time frame." I'm now the proud owner of $400 worth of vitamins. I'm a Business Consultant and often work with customer service divisions within organizations. I give this company a grade of "F." I have never seen such an underhanded way of getting your product out to consumers. Do NOT BUY from this company!

Meaningful Beauty I will not do business with a company that is this unprofessional

In March 2017 I ordered the 30 day trial kit. Although I didn't find anything in particular wrong with the products, I didn't think they were worth the money they charged for them. I received another kit in April 2017. I promptly sent it back with a note stating that I didn't wish to have anymore kits sent. They removed the charge from my Amex. In July I received another kit. That day I called their customer service. I also got a male service rep (maybe it was the same guy you got). I explained to him that I had sent back my last kit, cancelled future shipments & had received a refund. I asked to have a pre-paid mailing label sent to me since I had already paid postage on the prior kit & it was their error that another one was sent. The whole time I was talking to him he kept speaking over me. I was now annoyed & I asked him to stop talking. I then repeated my request for a mailing label. His response was, & I am quoting him, "ask me nicely". Well after I shouted a few chosen words to him I hung up & called Amex. The Amex rep not only removed the charge for the unwanted kit from my account she blocked all future transactions from them.

I am 56 years old. I don't care if these creams make me look 20 I will NOT do business with a company that is this unprofessional. They should explain to their customer representatives that their job is to "serve the customer". I still have the kit, unopened. I sent them an email with my complaint & stated that I will gladly send it back if they send me a mailing label. It's been 3 weeks & the only thing I heard from them was a return email with their return policy stating that all returns are at the expense of the customer.

when i recieved a bill i called the company and spoke with a sandra i told her that i had recieved a bill but had not recieved the product, she told me her computer was going slow and that she would chek for the tracking number and it would be resolved in 3-5 business days the following month i recieved another bill so i sent a letter since the phone call had resolved nothing, i continued writing to them complaining about the bill and no product, i then had to travel to california to care for a family member and just got back they had turned the bill over to a collection company and i called them again and was told that i should of kept calling them that they dont read letters.i sent letters from ga and california and never recieved anything saying that they dont read letters. my husband just kept sending me the bill to my sons and i just kept sending them more letters with the bill attached.this had happened once before and i called and they told me that i still had to pay for the product and i did i told the woman on the phone i wasnt going to go through the same thing again that once had been enough.

I cancelled my account and was told no further debits would be taken out but that I needed to return the unused products that they would send a return shipping label immediately. I have yet to see a shipping label and now they have debited my account again. This company rips off people and then will not give the money back until they feel like it( if then). The products caused a rash and sores on my face and neck and the dermatologist said it was an allergic reaction. That is why I called and was told my account would not be charged. DON'T MESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER! CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A JOKE.

I ordered Meaningful Beauty from infomercial, called to cancel after infomercial informed about automatic shipments. It was 'too early' to cancel and was instructed to return unopened package which I did the day I got it. One month later I got the credit minus shipping and the next day saw another charge for another shipment. When I called they said 'just return it and they will credit me except for shipping'. How long will this go on? When I called the cs rep said that there was notification inside the box about the recurring shipments. How would I know that if I was told not to open the box?!

I saw the infomercial and stupidly ordered the product online, THEN read all the complaints about the products and the company. I ordered online on a Sunday morning and within the hour called them to cancel my order. I was told that it takes 72 hours to process anything and to call back on Wednesday to cancel. I received an e-mail on Monday that my order would be shipped within 24 hrs.! I immediately called back to cancel and was told it was too late, not to mention that I had also signed up for automatic shipments which I had no idea. So, now I have to go to the inconvenience of sending it back when I get it for what they said would be a full reimbursement. We'll see. I told the woman that this was a scam and I was lied to and will never, NEVER order anything from that company again! DON'T DO IT!

Stay clear of this product...and their shady customer service reps. After my 3rd attempt to close my account (of course I was given a different story each time), I was told that it would be in my "best interest" to keep the most recent shipment of product instead of returning it for a refund because they can only refund it if they receive the box, and "that doesn't always happen". These people are very manipulating and deceptive. Cindy Crawford sure smeared her name with this one. Mud on my face for being so dumb to order the product. First time ever buying from an infomercial...and my last!

I placed one order of skin care products. However, customer service is so poorly trained and uneducated that I received two orders. I returned the second package well over one month ago, but cust serv claims they haven't received it yet!

It was returned to the Etobicoke office in Ontario, Canada.

Cust Serv said I have surpassed the 90 day money-back guarantee. In other words I have to pay for something I never ordered, returned back to Meaningful Beauty and will never use!

I will never ever order anything from Meaningful Beauty- Guthy Renker again!

One Pissed off Customer!

I orfered it over a year ago, opened and retained one box. Then I returned every single box thereafter - by writing refused on the box and taking it to the post office. I called their office and cancelled the order. They have never credited my account but continue to ship them and charge me. When I disputed the chare on my credit card, they asserted they had never received any returned items from me and refused to honor the credit. They must have no ability to process returns. DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT! THEY WILL NEVER STOP SHIPPING AND CANNOT BE REACHED FOR CANCELLAION. THIS IS A FRAUD UPON CONSUMERS>

Meaningful Beauty bad for our skin

This product does nothing but cause skin problems. Harsh and parfumed. I have a large dry spot on my face that I can't get rid of. I am still waiting on refunds after contacting customer service 6X times. The customer service is horrible. They also double charge your account, $39.99 twice when you first sign up. I am sure Cindy Crawford gets the better batch and she makes a ton of money for supporting this product but it's right up there with all of the other products supported my money hunger actors. My suggestion is go purchase a good bottle of Oil of Olay.

Meaningful Beauty was charged $139.95 for product advertised and explained to be only $39.95

the infomercial and internet website BOTH advertised a price of $39.95 which included free shipping, however when I received the product and looked at the invoice I was charged $46.65 and it showed the total amount of my order to be $139.95 and that i would be billed again the amount of $46.65 on 1-15-12 and $46.65 on 2-12-12. I called their customer service department and was advised I had received a 90 day supply. The ad that I referred her to was for a trial 30 day supply. at the advertised price of $39.95. If the consumer was to purchase the 30 day trial size at a cost of $39.95 for 12 months they would only end up paying $479.40. She went on to explain that each 90 supply I received I would be billed 3 payments of $46.65. That would come out to be four 90-day shipments at $139.95 each order for a ttl of $559.80 a year. I feel this is quite deceptive. I advised them i was immediately sending this back, cancel any furhter shipments and that i would be notifying my credit card company to not allow any charges to be presented against my card from this company as they were unauthorized. It is unfortunate that someone as respected as Cindy Crawford would represent such false and deceptive practices.

Had the same experience. Ordered introductory kit and ended up being charged over $200. They deducted over $200.00 from my bank account before I could get it stopped. They are still dunning me for the balance. This is a total scam. Was told on the phone that my order would be $39.95, but ended up being over $200.00.

We had the exact same experience! Their conduct is a violation of federal law. Check out http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/policystmt/ad-decept.htm. It states the below and more in detail. We should all report them to FTC and also report these to news media. This is a complete scam. They are continuing to deceive countless people into ordering their product. We can not let this continue. Don't ever purchase this product!

"Section 5 of the FTC Act declares unfair or deceptive acts or practices unlawful. Section 12 specifically prohibits false ads likely to induce the purchase of food, drugs, devices or cosmetics. Section 15 defines a false ad for purposes of Section 12 as one which is "misleading in a material respect."2 Numerous Commission and judicial decisions have defined and elaborated on the phrase "deceptive acts or practices" under both Sections 5 and 12. Nowhere, however, is there a single definitive statement of the Commission's view of its authority. The Commission believes that such a statement would be useful to the public, as well as the Committee in its continuing review of our jurisdiction."

Ditto myself on being overcharged! $39.95 seemed like a reasonable price but just checked my credit card balance and was charged $56 and change. Not impressed at all. I sure hope I won't have any issues cancelling like the other people!
