Alignment
On 5/9/2023, I took my Honda CRV to the Meineke on Bangs Ave in Modesto, CA for a 4-wheel alignment. I had recently done suspension work and my mechanic directed me to get an alignment ASAP. I also had replaced all 4 tires with new ones. At the time I took my car to Meineke, it was NOT pulling to either side. Meineke completed the alignment, which I used...

Meineke auto repair shop located in 23109 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring TX77373 had worked on 2016 Chrysler 200 on Mar/02/2023 at 9:32AM for Removed and Replaced an Oil Pressure Sensor, the cost for that job was $194.07, but after the work done. I could only used my car for one day and the check engine light came back (because of that sensor problem from the beginning). So, I had my car tow back to their shop, because I did not want to cause damage to my car engine (tow receipt was $218). This time they kept my car for a week and could not fix the issue and the check engine light was ON, still. So I had my car towed again to AutoNation Chrysler dealership to work on the check engine light, they run diagnostic test and concluded that was Oil Pressure Sensor defective, so they replaced it. My car is running great now. Based on my experience with Meineke shop, I do not want to go there for any of car services again. Thank you for letting me to report on this complaintsboard.com.
Desired outcome: I would like Meineke to refund the cost of service they charged me and did NOT delivered the good services.
Oil change & engine damage
On 1/14/23, I took my car to the location on 760 Wolcott Street in Waterbury, CT for an oil change. On May 8, I took it in to the same location for a recommended oil change. I was told that there was about a quart of oil in the engine causing damage to the engine and it had to be replaced with a cost of $6000.00. They did not want to do the oil change due to liability issues. I added oil myself along with anti-knock solution that they recommended.
On 5/23, I took my car to Durable Radiator in Waterbury to verify the issue and they agreed that the engine has to be replaced at a cost of approximately $5500.00
Therefore, I believe that the engine issue was cause by the improper oil change done by your store. I checked the oil pan to make sure it did not leak.
Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated for the engine damage done to my car as a result of the incorrect oil change work done at the Meineke location in Waterbury on 1/14.

Services not rendered
On April 7, 2023 I took my Subaru to Meineke in Lincolnton, N.C. for A/C repairs.
The Manager there is Brian O'Reilly. [protected]. They ran a A/C inspection, which costs approximately 250.00. They informed me of the repairs it needed. A complete overhaul of the system, costing approximately $1700.00.
Mr. O'Reilly talked me into a Meineke Credit Card for financing. I agreed to this.
However, the work was never done. I've gotten the runaround ever since.
No communication from Mr. O'Reilly since. I've had to contact them whenever I could get through on the phone.
I finally sent Mr. O'Reilly an Email requesting that he cancel this work order. That was sent on April 21, 2023. Still no response.
I found someone else to complete the repairs. I don't understand.
Maybe this location needs a new manger.
I won't be paying this bill.
Sincerely,
Carol Browne
Desired outcome: Reversal of all charges.

I am writing because the earlier request for you to give me a call has been ignored since 3/1/2023 to the present.
The reason for my note is that my husband brought my 2016 Chevy Impala to your location to have the exhaust check and the catalytic converters replaced on 2/23, we were previously told by another mechanic that this is the service that would be needed since he completed the major tune-up the month prior. We brought it to your location because it is stated on the website that you service/replace catalytic converters. Mr. Miller waited for the diagnostics test to be completed, your service advisors informed him that the catalytic converters were in perfect condition and that the only service the vehicle needed was a major tune-up. The service advisor told Mr. Miller that the parts on the vehicle were the original parts, and no tune-up was performed.
Based on your advisor’s recommendation, we agreed to have the major tune-up completed and include an oil change and paid $1172. We received a text 2 weeks later stating that the vehicle was ready for pickup. We picked up the vehicle on Thursday and the check engine light came on; we parked it until Sunday when my husband drove it to the corner store and on the way back home the car stalled and never started again. On 2/27, we called back to your location and informed them of the problem, and they sent a tow truck to pick up the vehicle for further examination.
The vehicle remained at your location for another week. Mr. Miller told the service advisors that he works overnight and to contact his wife, Reshonda Miller, during the day since he is a day sleeper. No calls were received. During this time, we had to rent a vehicle for 2 weeks while the vehicle was being serviced because we are a two-car household and Mr. Miller needed transportation to and work from. Due to the nature of his work, he only gets paid for hours worked and Mr. Miller has already missed 3 days of work.
I called and spoke with Jose, who was quite rude and very unprofessional when speaking to me. He kept talking over me, stating that they had been calling and texting me to receive approval for the new recommended services to have the catalytic converters that needed to be replaced and the new total would be $2890. As I was trying to explain to Jose that we have not received any calls or texts on either phone. He begins to raise his voice. I could hear on the phone that we were on speaker phone and that the service employees in the background speaking of the car as he was telling me he was looking through the notes. I repeated myself again stating that we have been speaking with Meineke Corporate customer service and awaiting a call from the owner to discuss this situation. After multiple calls to the Meineke Corporate customer service line, no return call from the owner was received. He then proceeds to give the phone to Junior, and I again attempted to explain the situation when he rudely and loudly interrupts me stating that I was telling a lie about the service initially requested and that I have not been calling and speaking with anyone there. I stated that I have clear notes of whom I spoke to when I called and what was discussed in addition to the repair notes provided during the first service. when I could clearly look at the paperwork and Carfax where it shows the service received on 2/27. Then Lawrence takes over the phone call and begins to very aggressively talk to me yelling at me that he has never spoken to me and I politely say you are correct, I have never spoken to you, I have only spoken to Jose 3 times. By this time, the level of unprofessionalism was more than what I could handle mentally so I woke my husband up to take over the call. Lawrence then begins the conversation with “no disrespect to your wife but…”
Lawrence continues the conversation with my husband, Andre Miller, as I am listening via speakerphone. My husband explains the situation to Lawrence who responds that he will personally look at the vehicle on Monday when he returns because he had a family emergency on would be out for a few days, and he would call once he has looked at it. That Monday, no call was received so my husband called on Tuesday and was informed that the vehicle was ready. We arrived at the location the next morning at 8 am, when my husband got off work and upon arrival was informed that the vehicle in fact was not ready and that upon final inspection there was a tear in one of the catalytic converters and that the vehicle would be ready by noon. The next morning no call was received so my husband called and was told that the part needed to be ordered and they would call when it was ready.
We finally got the call that the vehicle was ready, and my husband and the service advisor test-drove it through the parking lot, with no issues. Upon the ride home (13 minutes and 7 miles) on 3.24, the vehicle started to beep very loudly and the lights on the dash start to flicker “Oil pressure low stop engine and service tire system” (video and pictures were taken) and the vehicle sounds like a diesel truck, none of these sounds and lights were on when the vehicle was dropped off initially or the 2nd drop-off. We brought the vehicle back on 3.25 and were told that it would be ready in a few hours. As of 3.27, we have not received any calls or updates on the status of the vehicle.
3.29- I called and spoke with Junior at 11:20 am and he stated that they tested the oil pressure sensor, and it tested fine, but the oil pump is not pumping. He stated he will call me back once he reviews the notes further and that it was a line of customers in the lobby.
3.29- I called several times between 2 pm and 6 pm and left a voicemail. No callback was received.
3.30- Called and spoke with Junior at 12:17 pm, he stated he did receive the messages I had left the previous day, but no explanation on why a return call was not made. Junior stated that the exhaust and spark plugs were all okay. The oil pump and pressure were all okay. They performed another oil change (unauthorized) but the vehicle was still dropping oil pressure. Junior stated that more testing needed to be done by the mechanic and the mechanic was the only one that could complete the work, however, he was the only worker there as he had 2 call-ins that day. Tomorrow he should be fully staffed so the mechanic will complete then. I asked how long the repairs would take to complete; he stated it would be 1 hour. I asked where on the list of repairs my vehicle was, and he stated first on the list and to call back around 11:30 am.
3.31- I called on 3/31 and spoke with Jose. Jose stated that they completed another oil change, which was unauthorized and could not state why so many oil changes had been performed. They completed a short test drive, and no noise was heard. Jose said that the short test drive is only a couple of miles to 1960 and Aldine Westfield and back to the service center. Jose stated that another longer test drive would be completed (Service center to Imperial Valley and 1960 and back) and that should happen today the mechanic will call when he returns from the test drive.
4.3- I called at 10:12 am and spoke with Jose and he stated that Eric, the mechanic, did not have time to call me back Saturday and that he was off today, Monday, and only works Tuesday through Saturday. From the mechanic’s notes, the motor needs to be repaired and it would be the same amount of labor as previously. I asked to speak with the mechanic and Jose stated that he was busy doing another customer’s oil change and that I should come into the service center to speak with him in person.
As of today, your service center has been repairing our vehicle for over 30 days with no actual resolution, only faulty diagnoses, unnecessary repairs, inadequate work performed, missed time off work, a 2-week rental, and a lot of frustration, dissatisfaction and not repairing my vehicle in a timely manner.
I am simply asking/requesting for my vehicle to be fully repaired and to be reimbursed for the rental and interest incurred for the 2-week rental, or for the cost of another automotive service center to properly and fully repair my vehicle and to be reimbursed for the rental and interest incurred for the 2-week rental.
Desired outcome: for my vehicle to be fully repaired and to be reimbursed for the rental and interest incurred for the 2-week rental and loss of wages for missed work
catalytic converter 2011 freightliner sprinter 2500 base 3.0l 6 cyl/ 3195 austell rd marietta, ga 3008
I drove my vehicle 2011 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 Base 3.0L 6 Cyl to 3195 Austell Rd SW, Marietta, GA 30008. The manager Sydney provided me with an estimate of labor and parts on 2/27/23. I told him that I would be filing a claim with the insurance company, he then sent me a electronic invoice which i signed 2/27/23, I read over the invoice and signed but after speaking with my insurance, i contacted Skylar and told her to hold off working on my vehicle until my insurance adjuster comes and provides the cost estimate to repair my vehicle. My insurance adjuster came to do the estimate and asked Sydney about how did he come up with the cost estimate he provided on his invoice, Sydney told my insurance adjuster and myself that he does not have to provide the invoice for the parts, he also stated that the invoices were shredded therefore he could not provide the documentation. I also called and talked to Skylar and she stated the same message of document being shredded. my adjuster asked if he could speak to the owner and if he could be contacted Skylar told the adjuster the owner is a busy man and could not be contacted. I went contacted the nearest Mercedes Benz dealership and i was quoted prices for the same parts that i was invoiced by Sydney/Skylar and the prices are doubled.
Progressive is now requesting a copy of the invoice due to the disparity in prices quoted by Meineke in order to complete the estimate. I am requesting your assistance so that my insurance can get the required documents to complete my claim and work completed to so that i may get my vehicle.
Desired outcome: I am requesting your assistance so that my insurance can get the required documents to complete my claim. Secondly, the pricing by Sydney to fix my vehicle is more than 50% from the supplier of parts (Mercedes Benz)
Catalytic converter
I went to a Meineke Car care center on 8/26/2022 and had my catalytic converter replaced. My car was running fine, but my check engine light had been on, so I was told that is what needed to be fixed along with an 02 sensor.
I asked the manager at Meineke if I should just get a new car because my car is high mileage, and I was advised not to and fixing the catalytic converter would help my vehicle and keep my wheels going. I spent $2,051.45.
I then returned to Meineke on 10/26/22 and explained to them that my check engine light came back on, and the vehicle had been shuttering. They charged me $300, $125 scan code (not sure why this had to be charged again) a knock sensor, filter and some spark plugs.
On 11/08/2022, I sent a text message to the manager at Meineke since she gave me her phone number. I told her that my check engine light is back on and it was shuttering. I sent her a screen shot of the codes since I had them run. No response regarding my car.
I ended up taking my car somewhere else, and when they ran my codes, they told me they want to fix my catalytic converter because that was what the issue was. I explained I did that at Meineke a few months back, so they recommended I go back since that is who recently did it and it was already paid for.
I reached out to the manager on 11/18/2022 that my check engine light keeps coming on and off and asked if it is supposed to do that going back and forth. No response regarding my car.
I went into the Meineke shop on 12/07/2022 to speak to the manager because I wasn't happy that my car was acting up so soon. It was completely stopping at redlights, in traffic where people would beep at me. The manager wasn't there but the mechanic(there has been only 1 there) came up to me and said "Look, it's about time you need a new car. I don't want to keep taking your money, just go down the road (he referred some person and place) tell him that they sent me and he will get you a good deal. But your car is old and we don't think we should work on it anymore"
I thought this was unprofessional being they just talked me into giving them over $2,000, because any vehicle is capable of being worked on. I felt very upset, because I spend $2,300 (which this could have gone towards a new car instead of trying to fix my car. Instead they are just dodging us because they know what they did.
I left upset, and I texted the manager to please call me. She called me and I asked her if she spoke to her mechanic about me stopping by. She said "Yes, he is right, you need a new car. Go and see (she gave me a different name and place) and he will get you a great deal on a car where you can only put down like $1,000)
I am very upset with Meineke's "resolution" I asked in the beginning of any of this if I should get a new car and they told me no, this time with the way inflation is it is best to keep my car since I own it. They talked me into using my savings to fix the car when in fact it wasn't fixed and they turn around to tell me just go get a new car. Well my car is completely undriveable. I feel scammed.
I then contacted Meineke customer service to file a complaint. I called on Thursday 2/16/23. The customer service agent said he filed my complaint and I will be contacted in 48 hours. Well 48 hours came and went, and I called again on Monday 2/20/23 but the next customer service agent said I will hear back in 48 BUSINESS hours which could be 6 days. It is now 2/28/23 and we are getting the same run around no one has attempted to call back and return our calls. Customer Service can't give us any information other than "They will call you in 48 hours. Well it has been 64 hours. My car is not working and I am missing work. I am on the verge of losing my job and I need someone to help me. I am not sure if anyone is going to read this or even attempt to get back to me but it would be greatly appreciated if someone can please understand the frustration I have been through and please help me with a resolution ASAP. It is the right thing to do!
Desired outcome: Refund or Fix what I paid for at a DIFFERENT Meineke Car Care Center
Car repair
Hello ,
I took my car Audai Q7 2017 to this Meinke at Ledgwood, NJ, due to an emergency technical situation on My way back to New York City with my family on Friday 17 February 2023.
The Car shook severely and it was not possible to drive it back to the city, after the inspection from the Mechanics by computer, they told me you have an issue with the ( intake Manifold) both need to be changed, and a few days they called me and told me they also need to change ( intake Gaskets 6 Tolak+ OE Fine Wire Double Platinum Spark plug m and the Gasket need to be cleaned and negotiating the estimate of the repair came up to 3700$.
they called me on Wednesday 22 April and told me the car is ready and I could pick it up any time, I told them I will on Friday 24 April, when I went to pick up the car, unfortunately, I made the full payment and I trusted that the car if fine and running well when I started the engine I heard a thunderous sound from the engine, when I started driving the car is even worse then before and it's impossible to drive, and black smoke from the exhaust, I returned back and spoke to the Manger who insisted that the car was fine and he drove it in the morning, a mechanic drove the car and told him he is right the car is still shaking, I told the manager I need me money back, and I will tow my car back, but he refused and insisted that there are other issues in my car need to be taken care of which cost me more money.
I left my car there and told them I won't take it back until its repaired or I get back my money with five to seven Thousand in Compensation for the damages they have done which cost me 10000$.
Since I am a foreign diplomat I contacted the US Department of State, and they informed me to contact BBB, which is the best option for me to resolve this issue, As a diplomat, I can't file a lawsuit and attend courts.
I uploaded all the bills
regards,
AHMED AL ZADJAIL
email: [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: A full refund and compensation of up to 10000$, I won't collect my car with its current damages unless the car is back to its normal.
Heat still not working! Wanting to charge again!
I went to the Meineke Location on Lindbergh in Florissant. My 2013 Nissan Sentra, was having issues with getting heat. I was told that the diagnosis would let them know what the issue was with the heat. I waited an hour for the test, and was told that I needed a new thermostat. So I allowed them to fix the car and I waited 4.5 hours, it still was not complete, so I came back 2 hours later. The temp outside was around 60 degrees, so I really did not run the heat, I was assured it was repaired.
When I came to pick my care back, the locations were closed, so we agreed to place the key under the seat. So approximately a week later, the temp outside dropped, and I noticed my heat was not working. The passenger side was blowing cold air, and the driver's side was not hot. When I told the service man Jermaine, he said oh! You need a Blendor Actuator.
So I asked why didn't the diagnosis ran on my car give that result at the time you ran the test? Jermaine, said, "well maybe you do not know this", but diagnosis do not pick up everything. So I told him, "your mechanic accessed the issue and now you so easily are telling me you know the problem, by me describing the same issue that I explained when I first brought my car in. You charged me approximately $568 for a thermostat, and the diagnosis. I am still without heat." Mr. Jermaine seemed to have an attitude with me.
I asked Mr Jermaine what would the Blendor Actuator cost and he said that is a separate transaction and they would cost $999.00.
So the only thing I can conclude with this issue is I have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, tricked, robbed, and outright lied to, concerning this issue. I have always thought Meineke was an upright company. I am an educator and a lady, I am not privy to the workings of cars, so I brought my car to the specialist to have the issue repaired. All I ask, is that my car's heat get fixed. I by no means will give up $999.00 which would be a total of approximately 1400 dollars to have my heat repaired.
Please! Please! Please! Help me with this issue. I feel I have been treated unfairly.
Desired outcome: WANT MYHEAT FIXED, with the original price I was charged for the thermostats. it was placed on the diagnosis machine, and still was not fixed. WHY was the diagnosis Required, if it would not tell the problem?
Clutch repair and damage to my vehicle
I had my truck in for repairs. They damaged my brake lines and demanded an additional 1000 for repairs. I already paid, 2700 towards repairs. I went into the hospital and during my convale sence they sent my truck to the toward with no notice when They were aware I had been in the hospital and they said not to worry. And it stands I've lost my pickup and I'm still paying for the 2700 in loans I took out for repairs. I need to have either my truck back, the equipment or blue book value which exceeds 10000.
Desired outcome: Return my truck or the erquivelent or blue book value of 10000
Front end alignment
On Monday January 16,2023 I took my 2008 dodge ram in for a front end alignment because my truck was pulling to the driver side. That afternoon I was advised that my trucked was ready for pick up, my wife and my daughter picked it up and as my daughter was driving my truck away from Meineke she called to tell me that the steering wheel was cocked to the right and not centered and upright as it should and was now pulling to the passenger side. I took my truck back in 4 days after it was serviced. I took my truck back in on Saturday to get this problem fixed and the service advisor instantly attempted to some how make this my fault and proceeded to tell me that front end alignments are not covered under warranty but the Meineke limited warranty sheet I was given with my itemized receipt paragraph 5 Additional parts and services states that all other parts and services itemized on your receipt are warranted for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles or which ever comes first. I was also turned away because there were 10 cars ahead of me customers whom had not paid for their service yet and was told to bring my truck in Monday January 23,2023 and he would looked into it. I want this problem fixed because I purchased 4 new tires the Sunday prior to taking my truck there for service.
Desired outcome: I would like my the front end alignment to be performed properly or I be reimbursed the money that I paid for the serviced that was performed.
2500hd transmission
After service, my transmission started shifting hard. I checked the fluid level and found it too full. I asked the Meineke service center to check and they agreed it was over filled. I took the vehicle back to have the excess fluid removed. I was charged $75.00. I thought the fluid level would be put to the correct level. This was not done. All I was told, there was a transmission error code, and my transmission would need to be replaced. At this point I parked the truck. Which brings us too today. I knew the transmission fluid was to hi, so I purchased a hand pump and removed 4 pints of transmission fluid. I then drove the vehicle 20 miles with no shifting problem. I paid Meineke $75.00 so I could fix my vehicle myself. Now I'm not asking for anything free. But it would appear, that Meineke employes some shady operators. In the end, the bottom line, my vehicle worked fine after the initial transmission service. But, after going in for a routine oil change my transmission miraculously became overfilled and ceased to function in the manor to which it was designed.
Desired outcome: I'll leave the outcome up to Meineke management. However, the Better Business Bureau will be my next letter. It's in the hands of management. This all happened at the 10848 S. Memorial ave. in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Oil change service
I called Ron at the Meineke, 3401A Spotsylvania Mall Dr, Fredericksburg, VA, United States location on January 2, 2023. I told him I wanted to bring my vehicle in that day. He said he did not have any appointments left so I asked if I could bring it in the following day January 3, 2023. I told him I would get my son to bring it by. When my son and husband (husband decided to get his done as well) came in. My son provided Ron (same guy I spoke to the night before) with a Meineke coupon for a full synthetic oil change. Ron then tells him he will not honor the coupon. My son calls me since I made the appointment. He tells me the issue. I speak to Ron and ask him why he will not honor the coupon since it was written with his store location. He stated that corporate puts those out, but it is up to the location to decide if they will honor the coupon or not, and he will not honor it. He said the most I can do is give you $5 off. I told him that was false advertising. I asked him the total with the $5 off and he told me 125$. The coupon was for a full synthetic for $59.95. My son and husband ended up leaving and going elsewhere.
As a side note, my son made mention that Ron was really nice to the white person in line in from of him and equally as uncooperative with the black person that came after him. I say side note, I was only looking for the coupon to be honored, he has to live with whom he is as a person but thought as a business, this is something you would want to check on and can easily check by simply investigate by sending in another black and white person and take note of his actions. I cannot make an accusation on one visit that this is his usual behavior, and I will not be making another if Meineke is Ok, luring customers into the Car Care Center with Ads they have no intention on honoring.
Desired outcome: The difference between what I paid for an oil change $152.48 minus 3 qts of oil $31.46, coupon only stated up to 5qts, Mercedes takes 8 qts minus the coupon cost of $59.98. This would give me back $61.04
False check engine light diagnostic
On Dec 23 2022 I took my sienna van to Meineke Archdale location NC 27263, to find about my check engine light showing code 0340 and some time 0343. They diagose that my van need VVT Solenoids is bad and give me estimate of $1250 to fix that. I just pay the diagnostic charge $127.12 and walk away.
I am DIY type person and doing most of my car repairs my self. I know that code 0340 is associated with cam possition sensor and it has nothing to do with VVT solenoids, if my VVT solenoids were bad than I must have one of code P0010 P0011 P0112 P0013 P0014 which is not.
That shop tecnician trying to rip me off and want $1250 to fix simple problem.
Next day I just replace cam position sensor and all code disapear.
Pleade avoid that shop.
Desired outcome: Always Avoid that shop
Oil change, tire rotate and 23 point inspection
On 12/22/22 took my 2019 Dodge Caravan to Meineke at 8550 W Sahara Ave in Las Vegas, NV. for an oil change. I had gotten a post card stating that all oil change packages include fluid top off, tire rotation, 23 point inspection and more. When I requested my tires be rotated, Martyn told me that would be an additional $14. He stated that only the full synthetic blend package receives free tire rotation. I didn't take the post card with me so I agreed to the additional charge as I wanted that service.
I was later told that they could not rotate the tires as the front tires were too bald to rotate and the rear tires were borderline. He quoted me a price for 2 Yokohama OE tires for the front at $479. I declined that offer.
When I got home I checked the oil level, as I always do after an oil change. I noticed that the windshield washer reservoir was not filled. Nor did it appear that any of the other reservoir caps were handled.
Today, 12/23/22, I just returned from making an appointment at Discount Tire for Monday 12/26 at noon. They are going to put on 4 Yokohama OE tires for a total charge, including all installation, fees and taxes for $664. Same exact tires, Discount tire 4 for $664 verses Meineke 2 at $479. You can do the math.
First they were going to rip me off by charging for a free tire rotation. Then they didn't do the 23 point inspection and top off all fluid levels. Last but not least, their tires prices, for the same exact tire are $958 vs $664 for 4 of the Yokohama 225/65R/17. I currently have 4 cars serviced at Meineke, a 2019 Dodge Caravan, 2019 Corvette, 2015 Lincoln MKX and a 2008 Saturn. I no longer trust Meineke to service my vehicles.
Repeating issue unresolved
Hello,
On 10/25/21 - Took my car in (Meineke 63129 location) for check engine light. Initial reading claimed Catalytic Convertor. New Catalytic Convertor was installed. Picked up car, drove home and heard rattling. Called the shop and they said bring the car back. Took the car back and rattle was fixed.
10/20/22 - Check engine came on - (reader from another company said it was Catalytic convertor. Took car into Meineke and they said it was an oxygen sensor. Replace but would not provide paperwork the desk manager said we don't need, and he couldn't provide.
11/18/22 - Check engine came on. Brought car back to Meineke desk said it was a bad oxygen sensor. I asked about the light keeps coming on, and if the Catalytic convertor possibly being bad, he said no but if it was, I was out of warranty. Over a year (10/25/22). They changed the sensor and wouldn't provide me paperwork.
12/8/22 - Check engine came on.
Took the car to another mechanic. (have paperwork to provide). They said, we had a bad catalytic convertor. They said I was cover under the Federal warranty mandate.
12/15/22 - Took the car back to Meineke, the front desk said not warranty. I showed him the Federal mandate and provided him all the issue we have had. He said he would replace the Catalytic convertor. No paper, I pleaded for paperwork and he would not provide.
12/22/22- check engine back on, to car in on Monday. I called Monday evening they said they could find what was wrong. They were going to call the dealership. Could not get a hold of anyone on Tuesday, Wednesday I called desk said car was ready. P/u the car, front desk said it was the senors.
I ask for all the paperwork, and front desk ask why. He said he could not provide. I film the whole conversation. Very rude, talked in circles. I told him I was going to call the police to have a record I was there, and work was done. He finally provided me the paperwork. I am concerned the car isn't fixed correctly.
Desired outcome: If the car isn't fixed correctly, I would like to have a different shop and mechanic fix correctly all under the warranty.

auto repair
I took my car in to get the window fixed, it was off track. In doing so they damager the tint on my window. I asked if they could do something and initially they denied damaging it and said we take pictures of before and after. I said ok can i see them, and after they had me wait several days they finally said we don't tint windows and there's nothing we can do. I said i come to you with all my automotive issues and I've spent a lot of money wit you and the only thing she offered was a discount on my next service.
Desired outcome: Full refund of 272.43
