I had an oil change done 6-13-24. I had a 40 mile drive after leaving, and heard a terrible noise from under the car. My son looked, and the oil pan protective cover was hanging loose. He pushed it up as well as he could.
I went to Meineke, store # 2265, the next day. Tim Leonard, the service advisor, said it looked like it had been cut, and all but accused my husband of doing it. A 69 year old man, crawling under our Highlander, and cutting something he didn't even know was there. Really?!
I asked him to replace it, and got a "yea, sure".
The past 2 months I've been told the part is not in. Then I was told Tim wasn't in. Now they don't even answer the call. The damage was obviously done during the oil change, and I expect Meineke to replace the part, or pay for me to have it done at a Toyota dealership. At this point, that would be preferable, can't say I trust them in town anymore. And I've spent thousands over the years that I have been a loyal customer to Meineke in Charlestown, In. Very disappointed.
Claimed loss: Oil pan protective cover
Desired outcome: Cover replaced.
