Me and my hubby bought and/or leased a few Beemers from the Melbourne BMW dealer
Me and my hubby bought and/or leased a few Beemers from the Melbourne BMW dealer. I've been a loyal customer for years and always happy with their good service and care. But then I got into a big accident with my 2 Series and it was a goner. Luckily, I only got a few scratches thanks to all the safety stuff in my BMW. I needed a new ride quick, so I went to the dealer over the weekend. But it was a hot mess! They were all over the place, didn't have enough people, and seemed totally unprepared. Plus, my fave sales guy was gone after 10 years. They didn't have much selection and didn't even try to sell me on what they had. I checked out other dealerships in town and they were way better, even with less cars. The Melbourne dealer called me back later, but I didn't want to do biz with them anymore. Too bad the Orlando dealer was closed on Sunday, so I ended up buying a Benz instead. Just wanted to share my experience. Thanks!

! Melbourne BMW is a rip-off!
! Melbourne BMW is a rip-off! They wanted to charge me $595 just for an inspection on my car, and they haven't even done any repairs yet! I've been trying to get in touch with my advisor, Jamison, but he hasn't called me back. It's been three days now, and my car is still there. I'm not going to pick it up until they sort this out. I'm not going to be taken advantage of just because I'm a woman. $600 for an inspection is way too much!
I got a 535i with 62k miles and the electronic power steering failed
I got a 535i with 62k miles and the electronic power steering failed. The dealership said it was a manufacture defect and quoted me 5.2k. On Sept 30, 2020, the steering wheel lock sensor was on when I parked the car. I contacted Melbourne BMW dealership (Jamison) and they gave me a quote for 5.2k. I asked for a loaner car while they fixed my car, but they didn't have any available. On Oct 2nd, I met with Associate Manager (Mike) to talk about my options. He said he couldn't help and told me to contact BMW corporate office to fix the manufacture defect. I'm a loyal BMW customer for 17 years, but I'm unhappy and lost confidence in the BMW brand.
They gave me a paper with all the repairs they said I needed, then did them, but it didn't fix the problem
They gave me a paper with all the repairs they said I needed, then did them, but it didn't fix the problem. They said I needed an air pump for the air suspension system, which cost $2500. They said my car was fixed, but when I got there, it was still lopsided, which was the original problem. I called them many times, but they didn't call back until the next day. They told me I needed shocks, even though they said they checked them and they were fine. The service was really bad. When I dropped off my car a week ago, they sent me home in a Lyft with a driver who didn't wear a mask and had a dirty car. This put me and my family at risk for COVID-19. I attached a picture of the driver.

My BMW I3 had some issues on 20 July, when I tried to charge it, it kept kicking off and I had to reset the charger multiple times
My BMW I3 had some issues on 20 July, when I tried to charge it, it kept kicking off and I had to reset the charger multiple times. The range indicator was also acting up, jumping from 70 miles to 45 in an instant. I called Melbourne BMW and they quoted me $198.00 for a diagnosis charge. I reminded them that the electrical drive train and battery had an 8 year/100000 mile warranty, so I still had a year left. They told me I would get my money back if the problem was found to be the battery or charging system. When I got to the dealer, they said the pre-diagnosis charge was double because it was an electric car and they have problems. The service tech said it was probably the AC unit and my $398 would go towards fixing it. After a week, I got an automated text saying there was a "drive train malfunction." When I called, they said the car didn't run after the checkout and was still undergoing repair. The next day, they said it was fixed and I went to pick it up. They charged me $398 for wasting their time and said nothing was wrong with the car. I called BMW of North America Electric car consumer group and asked if they would stand behind their warranty. They said the charging system/battery are covered, but they don't dictate what the dealer charges. I don't understand why it took a week to tell me the car was fine. When I picked it up, all the high voltage battery anomalies were gone. They should pay me $398 for taking a week to fix a car that was "fine."
