Memory-Of.com Memory-of.com web page

Shortly following the death of my son from a hit & run in 2006, I created a web page through this company. A lifetime page was paid for by a dear friend. This web page was instrumental in my coping with this sudden violent death of my oldest son. Everyday I would go to this page & look at photos, or add a song, light a candle or read memories submitted by other people. I would recommend this site to everyone who had lost someone. About 3 yrs ago, the page would disappear & come back. Now it’s gone- no information who to contact, no way to access our photos or stories. This needs to be rectified immediately! Taking advantage of grieving people is wrong. I want my contents, memories of my son.

Desired outcome: Site back up permanently as advertised if not possible, then all the contents from the page returned. lifetime page was promised with purchase

Memory-Of.com memory-of tribute page for loved one

I set up a page for my nephew, Brandon T. Schuck who passed on May 19, 2005. Many memories and photos are now not accessible and the webpage is seemingly gone. Was promised a lifetime page. How can you do something like this and not warn people so they can retrieve what was on their pages. Cruel and totally unnecessary. Please reinstate these pages immediately.

Desired outcome: Access to photos - refundPLEASE RESPOND

Memory-Of.com Forever web site, memory-of purchased in 2003.

I purchased the web location (2003) & loaded with memory candles, pictures, special writings from family, friends, and anyone who knew us. It cost about $55. It worked for a long period of time years, but the site has not been available for years. It was supposed to be forever.
It says currently; memory-of.com is temporarily unavailable, check back in a couple of days.
Has had this up for years - it is never available.
BG27. Memory-of.com
Memories of the grieving should not be destroyed.
Broken trust.

Desired outcome: Needs to be restored or give an option to purchase a book of the contents. BG27.Memory-of.com

Memory-Of.com Memory of Website

I paid for a lifetime membership for this webpage! My husband passed away in 2004, I have many memories on this page and pictures. Lately I have not been able to access the site at all. I checked on it about 2 months ago and it gave me a message that site was down and it said to check back in a few days. I have done that a few times now and still it's says the same thing. I have not been able to contact anyone about it either.

Memory-Of.com Website for Gregory Muto

I was shocked and horrified when I saw that the site was “down.” I put so much time and effort into the site for my deceased brother Gregory Muto. The pictures that were up on the site were all lost in a house fire, and now there’s no way to retrieve them. I am deeply saddened and now I’m grieving yet again. Please have a heart, and at least restore the website to its original format. This is almost too much to bear. I lost my brother, lost the pictures, and now this. Please have a heart and restore the website for all of us who want to stay connected to our loved one’s memory. Please let me know what I can do to restore the web site. My heart is breaking over this. Please consider the anguish this has caused so many of us.$

Sincerely,

Michele Todd

Desired outcome: Please restore the website asap. I would like a response and an idea of when the website will be back up and running. And please inform us why the website was taken down and what it will take to get it back up and running again.

Memory-Of.com Nicole-Allen website at Memory-Of.com

Our daughter was killed tragically by a drunk driver who was an illegal alien in a car crash. We set up different things on this site and I used the slide show whenever I spoke for MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) at high schools. But during the COVID time we didn't have any speaking engagements the first year because kids weren't going to school and then the next couple years they didn't allow speakers. Last year in 2022 I went to speak in the fall and couldn't get the page to pull up.

We purchased the lifetime page, I guess it was a dogs lifetime (15 years). I wish we would have received some type of acknowledgement this was happening or did this happen because it wasn't used for a period of time? We put a lot of time into the sight, for it to just be gone and no option to send us the stuff we accumulated on our page would have been nice.

Desired outcome: I would just like to know if we did something wrong or what we need to do to get the information/pictures, etc back.

Memory-Of.com Site reinstated, submitted photos and comments printed and sent to family from all sites they paid for.

I paid for two lifetime memberships years ago. One was a memorial page for my brother Mike who was murdered while in the Navy. Later, I had a memorial site for my sister who was passed due to medical negligence during a routine procedure in Las Vegas. Both sites had pictures, memories, stories submitted by friends and family that we will never get back due to the site taken down.

I have contacted the company directly thru social media about the site but have never received a response. They have made no effort to refund any of the lifetime memberships, the irreplaceable photos and info that was submitted over the years. It is heartbreaking that they have taken advantage of so many people and their treasured memories in a time of loss and heartache. If they cannot keep the site running, they need to turn it over to someone who can get it up and going so that millions of people can once again view their memorial sites and be able to view all their lost photos.

Desired outcome: Refund of lifetime membership fee for each site they had thru Memoryof.com

Memory-Of.com Memorial Site (memory-of.com)

We purchase a life time membership for my mother in law in 2005. I spent many hours collating photos and making it a place for family, friends and those that knew her to visit and share thoughts / memories. I have checked the website to be met with a temporarily down notice with a message to say check back in a few day. I have done so, but this message is still showing. I have done a search and came across this website and was devastated to read so many other people who are in the same position. I feel appalled and devasted not just for my family but for the many other people that have lost loved ones and a place to share memories. I received no contact or notice that the website / company was going to cease.

They are part of libraryoflife.org

I don't know if there is a potential of a group case against whoever organised this site which appears to be taking advantage of those in grief. I would welcome any comments from anyone, or anyone that would like to share their grief / story.

Desired outcome: Contact from the company, an apology, an explanation as to what has happened to all of the data and information

Memory-Of.com My Husband's Memory Site

I started my "Memory-of" site when my husband passed away in 2004. There were so many people that checked in over the years (over 90K views) and added thoughts and blessings. I and the rest of my family and friends have also added hundreds of posts, comments, and photos over the years.

I am truly disappointed that the website is no longer accessible, nor is there a way to access or retrieve the data and photos. There was no notice that the website would go down. Leaving all these people hanging who trusted the creator of this website with the memories of their loved ones is so disappointing.

I have not been able to access this site for the last couple of years. Will this site ever come back?

Desired outcome: Desired outcome: Retrieving data we have added over the years since 2004.

Memory-Of.com My son’s memorial site at Memory of.com

I paid for a lifetime membership in honor of my son’s memory and now the site is down and with it many, many photos of my son. They gave no warning of their closure. If they had warned me before they closed I could have downloaded and copied those photos. I thought they were safe there.

This company operates other web sits as well, including a wedding and celebration page that is also titled with the of.com

Memory-Of.com My son's memorial page is gone - another heartache

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the death of my forever 16 year old son. I was going to upload a couple pictures of how we remembered him today, and found his page, GONE. What happened? Why? I paid for this to be up. Now what? This is another stab, dealing with the death of my son. Please put his page back up. It's something i like to share, for others to remember him by - to share with new friends. I am so disheartened again, tonight.

Desired outcome: Please put back up the memorial I paid for to keep his memory and story alive. Please. Please.

Hi,

I wanted to respond. I had set up a site for my mother in law in 2005, it was a lifetime membership. I had no idea what happened. I came across this site by accident and saw your post. I am so sorry that you also experienced the same thing. The site was a place for loved ones to share stories, memories and a way to keep the memory alive. I don't even know what has happened to all the photos and data. Anyway, I just wanted to reach out to say you are not alone and that I am genuinely sorry that this has happened to you. My mother in law was an educator and in her sixties, and although still painful, but to lose your son and then to lose the site with memories is just awful. Wishing you some comfort. Regards Lee

Memory-Of.com My son’s memorial page

I paid to have my son’s memorial page online forever. I lost my son in 2005 and I have pictures on that page that I no longer have access to. I was not notified that the site would be down and I am devastated all over again because I no longer have access to the account and I want to be able to see my son and messages my mom left and she has also passed away. Please just give me access to his page. [protected]@memory-of.com

Desired outcome: I’d like to get all the photos and messages or my account to be live again.

Memory-Of.com MemoryOf.com website

I like many others have paid for a lifetime memorial page. It should never be taken off if we have paid for this service. I have not seen the site come back online in many many months. I as with the others would like to have access to all the information that was added to the page for the past 19 years. How can the owners of these pages be so selfish as to take this away from families that have trusted them to maintain the lifetime service they paid in good faith for. Unreal.

Desired outcome: Bring the page back online...notify all the page owners of the timeframe this will occur and allow them ample time to get what they added to their pages.

Memory-Of.com I need to access my late daughter's page but can't.

My daughter's name s Caitlin Mayes, 6/30/1986-11/27/2005. Tomorrow is the anniversary of her death. I desperately want the poems which I wrote for her and the pictures that don't exist anywhere else. I started her page in 2006 and paid for a lifetime membership.

The last I checked a couple years ago there were posts filled with filth and spam. Please help me get her things back!

Desired outcome: I want the opportunity to download poems and pictures from my daghter's page.

Memory-Of.com http://john-scaro.memory-of.com/About.aspx

I started my Memory-of site when my father passed away in 2004. I and the rest of my family have added hundreds of posts, comments and pics over the years.

At least one other time approximately 8 years ago the site went down but it did come back up for a couple of years.

The last couple of years however (at least the years 2020-present) the site has been down every time I try to login. How can I retrieve everything from his site?

Desired outcome: Retrieving data we have added over the years since 2004

Memory-Of.com Memory of Gregory A. Supan

I paid for a forever website tribute to my husband in 2005. I would visit it numerous times each year and so would his family. It brought me peace when I could enter memories and I got to correspond with many of Greg’s friends who were looking for him and found his memory site that I put up. All of the correspondence is now gone, my pictures gone, my poems and tributes gone. I feel so cheated. When I tried to enter his page it said temporarily down and they never even informed me that the site was being taken down. I am so disappointed and sad I feel like he was taken from me twice.

Memory-Of.com Deborah Studer

Thank you for having this complaint page. I purchased my sister, Deborah Studer, memoryof.com site in June of 2007, and paid the forever price. It is heart wrenching that the company isn't honoring the commitment! An exurbanite amount of time, and love, went into setting it up. Early we posted the winners of two separate scholarship funds that we set up for high school students in Debbie's honor. It would have been simple to sell the platform to someone, anyone, to continue. Everyone that knew my sister is devasted and upset that all the photos and candles and tributes are gone. This was intended to help keep her memory alive for generations to come. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF IT WILL EVER BE REVIVED!

Desired outcome: Get the website active again. PLEASE!

Memory-Of.com Accessibility to our spiritual healing of our son

l started a website for our son Leon Russell, Benjamin, Leasure who died January 2007. We, his brother started the website in hopes his sons would have a place to remember their father. A place of precious moments, memories of pictures of them together, celebration of life. Over the years my family and l added photos and messages and lit candles on birthdays, added to timeline. We felt close to our son, brother, uncle and father which helped us with our precious loss. We paid for lifetime membership. Every candle lit was a moment of thoughts from the heart. I kept my daily journals talking to my son. All our love poured out in each tribute, a lit candle for each birthday, letters to him, of grief, wishing, missing and wishing he was still here. All gone. It's like losing our son again.

l tried to contact the owners but each time it came up and still does Temporary unavailable, this has had an impact on me and my family.

l would like to be able to have all the contents myself and family added back l would be most grateful if l can somehow get my info back or to be able to copy and paste what l have on, each message was a special one and priceless, some are pictures posted from people no longer with us.

Desired outcome: All my Photos and messages etc to be forwarded to me or for me to be able to download or any way possible to get back. If I could somehow get the website of my son's domain.

Memory-Of.com Memory of: In memory of Fire Fighter Jowan Rashard Davis "website"

My son, Jowan Rashard Davis, was born on December 11,1974 and he passed away on October 17, 2007. Fifteen years ago today, Jowan was killed in a motorcycle accident.

I was saddened and very hurt when I tried going onto his "paid" website and discovered that it was removed.

The pain of losing my "only child'' was severe enough, and now knowing all of the memories; prayers, pictures, thoughts, and comments made on behalf of family, friends, myself, and others, are not accessible, is extremely hurtful and heart wrenching.

I'm hoping that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible.

Desired outcome: I, Bessie Davis, Mother of the deceased, am praying and asking that my son's website be restored in its entirety. Please respond to my email at [protected]@gmail.com. Your assistance and help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
