I went to MHC Kenworth and let me tell you, it was the worst experience ever!
I went to MHC Kenworth and let me tell you, it was the worst experience ever! They treated me so bad, I couldn't believe it. They discriminate against their customers and they straight up lie to them too. It's just not right.
The employee was polite and quick to answer questions and did their job quickly
The employee was polite and quick to answer questions and did their job quickly. I didn't have to wait long, and I was back in the truck and back to work.
This company don't care about drivers, who buy their equipment
This company don't care about drivers, who buy their equipment. They not concern about anyone's safety on the road. With equipment they service. Don't use any of their location, especially their location in ***, ***.
I had my truck at MHC Kenworth for 3 weeks and they charged me nearly *** dollars
I had my truck at MHC Kenworth for 3 weeks and they charged me nearly *** dollars. But guess what? It broke down just 3 days after I left the shop. Can you believe it? These folks charged me *** for labor costs, which should've been way cheaper. Since the whole corona situation started, these dealerships have been raking in the cash by overcharging for labor and taking advantage of small businesses. They're basically stealing from us!
Bad experience with Kenworth. Finally got it back after 2 months. It had more damage than before it arrived. Incorrect parts installed and no updates or contact. Worst experience
I got ripped off by MHC Kenworth with my company
I got ripped off by MHC Kenworth with my company. They charged me too much for a basic service. I've been to MHC Kenworth 4 times in 3 states for the same mechanical problem. I've spent over 10,000$ in 2 weeks and they still haven't fixed the issue. I tried contacting the CEO of MHC Kenworth, but no response. It's a shame that owner operators like me are being taken advantage of. After reading other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one.
I had my truck at MHC Kenworth for about 10 days, hoping to get the def dozer changed
I had my truck at MHC Kenworth for about 10 days, hoping to get the def dozer changed. They finally told me it would cost a whopping $8000. They even said the job was done twice, but my truck is still showing the same codes. And now, they're saying the radiator is cracked. My truck is stuck at the shop while they figure out who's going to foot the bill, either me or ***. It's frustrating because they never got permission from me or the ***. Trying to get a response from MHC takes forever, whether it's through email or a call back. I've gone up there three times already, but it feels like the place is closed on weekends. They claim to be available 24 hours, but there's no one who can make a decision on weekends. This whole situation is really hurting my business.
My truck had a coolant problem, so I took it to MHC Kenworth
My truck had a coolant problem, so I took it to MHC Kenworth. They diagnosed the issue and found that the air compressor was not working properly. They replaced the air compressor and charged me $5,000, but the coolant problem remained. I brought my truck back to MHC, and they then said it was the radiator causing the issue. However, replacing the radiator did not solve the problem. They then checked the head and found a faulty gasket, which they replaced. They claimed that the truck would not start, but when I dropped off my truck, it started perfectly fine. They insisted that it was a harness problem, so they replaced the harness, but the problem persisted. They finally determined that it was a fuel system problem and took three months to fix it. This caused me to lose business and miss my truck payment. Despite my financial difficulties, I managed to arrange the money to pay them. I went on my first trip in three months, only to have the coolant start leaking again. I am extremely stressed about this situation as I have bills to pay, and despite the money I paid them, my truck is still not fixed.
Someone needs to put that guy at MHC Kenworth in his place as a supposed "salesman
Someone needs to put that guy at MHC Kenworth in his place as a supposed "salesman". Arrogant jerk is more like it. I asked about a truck they had for sale on their website. He sent an email with pictures and some information as requested. He told me the truck is in another state. I'm in Western region but that's okay. I don't mind traveling. I messaged him on Facebook for the motor history. No problem...he sends a video with gibberish and what looks like the cost of repairs done to this truck. I asked for details on a $4k and $3k repair. He told me to go look at it and buy it or not...he's got "7 credit apps on this truck and it's sold first come, first serve." Really?! So you're lazy and can't provide simple info?! MHC...is this how you train your salespeople to treat potential customers? I thought a "salesman" worked to get the sale? Seems this big mouth doesn't like to do his job. I suggest he find another line of work. Maybe something less...customer service oriented.
From 07/07 to 07/15, I had three problems with my truck
From 07/07 to 07/15, I had three problems with my truck. First, there was an on-and-off issue with starting. Then, I noticed a coolant leak and a strange noise near the fuel pump. The labor cost me a whopping $1799.00 at an undisclosed rate per hour. They charged me *** hours and *** dollars just to check and replace the batteries. It should have only taken 1.5 hours, but they decided to inspect my ignition (just one nut) and removed electrical tape from a wire, fitting it with a female end. Let's say it took them around 45 minutes to test and fix that. Lastly, they replaced a faulty starting relay. If it's bad, it won't turn over, so let's give them an hour for that. That leaves us with 3 hours and 15 minutes, tops. But guess what? It turned out to be the starter, which I had a warranty for with a *** deductible. They pressure tested my coolant reservoir and found two leaking clamps, which cost me $252.20. From my experience, pressurizing the reservoir doesn't take an hour and a half, which is what they charged me. And to top it all off, they charged me $135.80 for the noise by the fuel pump, even though they didn't find or hear the problem. Not only was I overcharged, but I also lost four days of work due to the nine hours of labor on my truck. They blamed it on my warranty company, but when I contacted them, they were still waiting for MHC to submit the paperwork. My warranty company paid a little over $700 for the removal, replacement, and the cost of the starter, which was a little over $400. This left me feeling cheated by MHC, as they found a way to get their money from me.
Sorry for the length
Sorry for the length. First, they are ridiculously priced. The work is worse than a dealership, and they don't secure your vehicle. We paid well over $16000 for a PM, wiper control replacement, power steering leak fix, and an A/C leak fix. They replaced major A/C components that were only 9 months old (and couldn't show us the old ones), and it turned out the entire leak was under the bunk in our Condo sleeper. When we went to pick up our truck, they had to jump-start it and tried to use a trickle charger. Plus, the back door was unlocked. In a rush because we had a load waiting, we took off. But as soon as we started putting things away, we noticed that all the cabinets and drawers had been searched, and we realized some things were missing! While they had our truck, someone took items from the interior and toolboxes! They took everything a "mechanic" could use: a sturdy coke crate, tools, a small tool bag filled with miscellaneous items, an electric screwdriver from a drawer, the $100 cord for plugging in the truck when parked, a heavy-duty pair of jumper cables, and even the 175w power strip and bundles of work rags. It couldn't have been a driver because the things a driver would take are still here, like a metal coffee carafe/maker, a 50-inch TV, and an air fryer combo. It had to be an employee. They haven't done anything since I contacted them, and even though the total value of the stolen items would be less than $800, it's the fact that someone took our belongings right out of the shop.
In 2020, I bought a 2020 KW T680 SemiTruck from MHC Kenworth
In 2020, I bought a 2020 KW T680 SemiTruck from MHC Kenworth. It had only *** miles and cost me $168,000. I gave them $80,000 as a down payment. However, they made me pick up the truck from a different MHC location, ***, MHC, and it took them 5 weeks to provide the registration.
To my dismay, the truck broke down in the middle of nowhere during my second load. I had to pay $1700 to tow it to a Kenworth dealership. The dealership discovered that MHC Kenworth had previously repaired the engine, but the technician at the previous shop did not follow the correct procedure to remove and replace the piston cooling nozzle. As a result, the number 4 squirted was bent and broken, and the liner was cracked, causing coolant to leak into the pan through the cylinder.
Now, my semi needs another motor, and when I purchased it from MHC Kenworth, they never mentioned anything about the previous overhaul or the reasons behind it, despite the low mileage of the unit. The warranty covered the repair, but the factory warranty does not want to cover it again. It seems that MHC Kenworth hid this overhaul and also concealed three previous accidents involving this unit.
I have been in contact with MHC Kenworth and the Kenworth dealership for 6 weeks now to resolve this issue, but they have not been responding to our repeated phone calls or emails. I believed they were professional, honest, and stood behind their equipment, but this situation has proven otherwise. Meanwhile, I am still making monthly payments to the bank and insurance, even though my truck is out of commission due to this scam.
I will make sure to inform everyone I know and the public about my experience and advise them not to do any business with MHCS in the future. I don't want others to go through the same ordeal. This truck was supposed to be an investment for my business, but instead, it is ruining my livelihood. I will continue to speak up until my voice is heard and I get the justice I deserve.

I bought a 2017 KW T680 from MHC Kenworth and got a 2-year 250k mile warranty from MHC ATC warranty for more than $7000
I bought a 2017 KW T680 from MHC Kenworth and got a 2-year 250k mile warranty from MHC ATC warranty for more than $7000. But I never got the warranty info. My truck has had issues from the start, and I've been trying to get the warranty info since September 2. They keep saying they don't have it, which doesn't make any sense! I really need the warranty documents and the account number or a refund!
I got scammed, man
I got scammed, man. Back in December, I dropped 27k on a sweet semi truck from MHC Kenworth. It was worth a whopping 69k, you know? But guess what? The dealer pulled a fast one on me. They did some half-assed repairs on the injectors, just sealing it up temporarily. And what happens next? Not even a week later, the damn truck breaks down on me. I had to get it towed to the nearest MHC service shop.
So, I'm there at the shop, right? And they tell me there's no fixing those injectors. The only solution is to replace the whole cylinder head. And guess how much that's gonna cost me? A whopping 16k, man! I even got it in writing, you know, through email.
So, I decide to reach out to the used truck sales manager, hoping they'll sort this mess out. But you won't believe how long it took them to get back to me. Weeks, man! And when they finally do, you know what they offer me? A measly 6k. Can you believe that? I kindly tell them to shove it, man. This is their screw-up, and they should fix it properly.
But here's the kicker, man. I haven't heard a peep from anyone since then. Can you believe the nerve?
On 08/11, I attempted to purchase a semi truck from MHC Kenworth in Rock Island, IL.
On 08/11, I attempted to purchase a semi truck from MHC Kenworth in Rock Island, IL/Quad Cities. They promised to provide warranty information within 5 days and assured a full refund of my $2500 deposit if not received. However, I never got the warranty details for the 2015 t660 with a new engine. On the fifth day, the salesperson was still uninformed about the truck. When I withdrew from the $70k deal due to lack of information, I was told my deposit was non-refundable. They essentially seized my $2500. Be wary of their vehicle holding deposits; they sold the first truck I was interested in because I didn't deposit $2500 quickly enough. I need assistance to recover my funds.

The company sold me a bad semi truck
The company sold me a bad semi truck. The truck has numerous issues which should have never been there to begin with. They claimed that the truck has a variety of features which made me interested in the product, but the features do not work. I purchased the truck almost a month ago and still have not been able to use it to pick up loads. The truck has been in the workshop ever since I purchased it. It is a below par product which was not as advertised. It is shameful that they would do such a thing. The Manager at MHC Truck Sales Kansas has been in touch with me, but the truck came from their Dallas branch who were responsible for fixing all the pre-existing issues before selling the truck. The trucks are at their all-time high prices and I was still sold a below par product. I have lost wages. I have lost money after this truck which I have been able to drive for one out of almost a whole month. The rest of the time, the truck has been sitting in workshops. APU, Brakes, AC, Airlines, DPF, DOC, steering wheel, shocks leaking, NOX sensor, and the list goes on and on. Who will be responsible for this?
In March 2022, I purchased a 2018 Peterbilt 579 semi-truck from MHC Kenworth for $130,000
In March 2022, I purchased a 2018 Peterbilt 579 semi-truck from MHC Kenworth for $130,000. I drove the truck from their location to mine, but unfortunately, the battery turned out to be faulty. I contacted them to inform them about the issue, and they were kind enough to call another dealer in St. Louis to replace the batteries at their expense. However, it took nearly two weeks for me to receive the title for the truck. Additionally, it took another three weeks to register the truck with the state of Missouri because they had recently implemented a new system.
Once I finally got the truck registered, I embarked on my first freight load. However, I quickly noticed a problem with the clutch. Unfortunately, I was nearly 1000 miles away from home and couldn't return to St. Louis. After delivering my load, I immediately took the truck to a Peterbilt dealership in St. Louis for a diagnosis. They confirmed that the clutch was indeed faulty and needed to be replaced.
When I contacted MHC Kenworth about the issue, they informed me that they couldn't do anything to help. This has left me in a difficult situation as I don't have the funds to cover the cost of the clutch replacement. Since purchasing the truck, I have only completed one load, so my financial situation is quite tight. I am really in need of your assistance, and I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.
