Freightliner cascadia semi truck
On august 31.. I bought a freightliner cascadia semi truck.. Before bought I was went to the dealership to see my truck.. They told me the truck are fully loaded.. They charge me 191500$.. When I bought the truck I saw there are no inverter and there are no scale gauge on my truck.. The employee name is conrad espericueta. They can do cheat with me.. They gane me base modal truck at the price of fully loaded

Own a 2016 Newmar Dutch Star. My dashboard gages are out. I have tried to get them repaired, but FL in Chandler, Arizona gave me no help at ALL. I have no idea whom else to call, because everyone tells me to call FL. I'm on a trip and now, I also keep getting warnings for low fuel, even though we just filled the tank. I HAVE to drive it, it's driving fine. I just have no idea how much gas, etc, I have. And NO ONE seems to want to HELP. ESPECIALLY Freightliner, who charged me $427 to tell me NOTHING
Desired outcome: I want my dashboard to work, without anything ELSE going wrong. I want FL to do their JOB before they charge me.
Transmission replaced and destroyed again
On March 1,2023 Truck centre Effingham IL(Freightliner)replaced transmission and lines of truck(Freightliner cascadia 2029).On 12th July 2023 transmission broke down on road in Florence KY.I called Freightliner Effingham IL to get help as work done on truck was under warranty but they refused any help and asked me talk to Weller(Transmission manufacturer)because they installed Weller transmission and Weller will cover warranty.after two days sitting at shoulder of highway I towed my truck to Mississauga ON .Paid$4500.After numerous efforts now Weller asking me to send transmission to USA and they will look into it but it will take weeks and no guarantee to compensate.Freightliner Effingham charged me way more than Weller selling price and double the labour costs.As truck centre not cooperating I need help for compensation.
Desired outcome: Need compensation.Atleast overcharged amount and fifty percent cost to install new transmission.

Each day we were receiving msg, after we finish another vehicle we will start working on yours. Our driver all the time was in hotel. We need provide money to our driver for hotel, food and daily money for not working days. When we stop we have msg that the repair will be covered by warranty. The problem was not working air conditioner. We receive statement that it will be not covered. After ten days we received msg, that they will start working in a week. Finally after yelling and spending a time they started to work, they finish in 3 hours(but charging us for labor 1890.00) Early in the morning the driver picks the truck, we paid $2657.9. AIR CONDITION NOT WORKING! We can’t reach manager, never answering. A receptionist seems like sitting in the moon, doesn’t know anything, doesn’t understand what taking about, very rude, and was incredibly disrespectful. I don't know when they will finish and who can help us. We looking for the lawyer to solve the problem. Never come here even for an emergency. Freightliner in Houston nightmary.
2023 western star by freightliner
I bought a 2023 Westernstar in Dec of 2022 we paid almost $500,000.00 on this truck and it’s been in the shop now for two months with no answers in sight.
The truck would not run right so it’s under warranty and we put it in the repair shop but they can’t tell us when the part will get there so we are making $8000 a month payments on a vehicle sitting in a shop not to mention the revenue we are losing by not having the brand new truck we just bought.
This is actually the first of two trucks we bought from you so we’re hoping the second one doesn’t go down as well.

dpf problem
This is Harpreet Singh company name BSB trucking. The reason why I message you I drop my truck at delta truck shop French camp CA. I visited 5 times at dealership shop in two months. Every time I dropped my truck the same problem is occur. My truck is under the extended warranty. There is an problem with DPF. I m not working since 2 months. Last time they charge me 3500. Now this time they told me we are not covering your truck under the warranty. What the use of warranty if anything is not covered. I m feeling very frustrated and harassed. Every time I go to delta dealership shop they harassed me with words. Reply my msg as soon possible. Thank you
The coolant sensor shutdown timer
A mechanic at my employer reconnected the coolant sensor, that the shop manager knew was disconnected because of the red shutdown timer. So surprised while traveling busy two lane west bound highway, the red shutdown notice pops, i swear it cuts fuel to engine at the time it pops on the dash, i went from 65 to 30….thinking it was a def deceleration……with no shoulder it forced me to stop in travel lane. I had to put it in park, neutral and restart, while both travel lanes occupied and coming up fast upon me, at the time im basically parked in the right lane…….this sensor housing isnt truly heat resistant and allows the soldering points to melt as it is extremely hot, to disconnect it i had to let it cool down…..nearly burnt my fingers first time….anyhow i like a formal response, driver.[protected]@yahoo.com
Desired outcome: Remove engine protection shutdown timers, add bells and whistles…..shutting down a truck with no safe place puts not only the driver at risk but others in the general public. I need response by march 27, 2023.
Delay services of just prep programming of PTO

I dropped my truck at west sacramento freightliner about 10 days before for prep programming for PTO after installation in my truck as sacramento freightliner asked me to do and prep would be done in day or 2 days but my truck still there and whenever I called them , they just said schedule tight and didn't get call from freightliner line . My whole family depends on me and that's only my source of income. Please help me to resolve my problems on priority basis, so I can back to my job...

Cruise control or every new cascadias
Everytime cruise is on truck can't maintain proper speed.The "underspeed" and "overspeed" feature just doesn't make sense. My complaint that there is no switch to "old school cruise control" as like freightliner 2014 and older had. I don't care how it supposed to work this underspeed and overspeed but cruise control can't be used for relaxed driving. As you maybe know most trucks go close speed and cruise control won't allow to pass another truck or let them pass because it can't serve sole porpoise –control precise speed.
Same goes for downhill... Truck drivers must manually do something when going downhill because cruise control let it go to the speeds that truck can't slow down... meaning it's useless in most states with uphills and downhills.
Just try it yourself, let one of your engineers take ride loaded 78000 lb in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Montana, Oregon,California, Idaho, Vermont, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey...
I have been driving a brand new 2023 Freightliner Cascadia for 9 days now. Has 4,100 miles on it. The issue is the "E Coast" fuel saving feature on the auto transmission...the transmission has 200,000 miles of US topographical road maps programmed into it allowing it to kick into E Coast (nuetral) just before you peak a hill and remain there until speed or torque forces it back in gear. My company has the speed parameters set at 68 mph on cruise and 66 on the peddle with -4 (64 mph) and + 5 (73 mph) as the forced shift points. What happens to me is I pull out to pass a 65 mph truck, kick on cruise so I can go 68, and then watch the speed reduce to 64 mph as I approach the top of a small grade forcing me to tie up left lane traffic until the terrain tells the transmission to pull again. Scenario: you're a member of law enforcement following a semi that is in the left lane passing but cannot maintain a consistent speed nor clear the lane. I'm pulling him/her over for being a distracted driver. The net result of this is 1 extra mpg fuel savings, 3-5 extra minutes of drive time per hour, and the added stress and fatigue related to not being able to accomplish something as simple as passing a slower vehicle. I have just started addressing this with my company because my options are limited...either they adjust the truck set-up or I'll turn in a brand new Freightliner for a Volvo or Kenworth which we have and do not feature E Coast. Be safe out there.
2022 Cascadia w/sleeper
Ambient temperature sensor inaccurate when idling causing idle shutdown when outside temperature is outside of idle shutdown parameters. Example: it's 13° out and the sensor reads 29.
I believe this is due to the sensor's position on the driver's mirror being just outside of the hood latch access opening from which comes warm air from the engine compartment.
Desired outcome: A way to make the truck idle when the outside temperature warrants it but the sensor is reading wrong.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ny Truck has been there for two weeks, they continue to raise the price on parts and labor, for reasons that they can not effectively explain.

I received a call from Karen and I'm concerned about what was told to her. Why would you charge another $800.00 dollars for a part that Cummins doesn't have on back order. I called cummings and there are (4) DPF - 5579354rx in Memphis and Multiple in Dallas. Corey expressed to Trevis that York was a cummings distributor, why are we waiting till next week or "even a month" for a part that is available on cummings platform & other platforms?
Desired outcome: A fare explanation of why my truck is still at the location unfixed. Take the price down for Labor not done but charged to me. My truck has been there almost two weeks and when in for a SCR sensor.

Had this module replaced at Black Rock Truck Group Bradford,Ct. Invoice R100076341:01 completed 08/12/2022. Total for invoice was $2,505.67 labor charged was $447.50. CPU unit failed 11/01/22. Repair amount with Freightliner of the Treasure Coast in Fort Pierce Fl. is $4,336.23. Including labor in the amount of $2,392.50. Waiting for response on warranty for the module. I believe the labor charge is excessive.
Desired outcome: Fair charge for service provided. Warranty on the module?

I brought my 2015 Freightliner Cascadia to Fort Worth, TX Premier Truck Group (Freightliner) for DEF issues. They claimed that they fixed it by doing a SCR test and then Regened the truck for three hours. I paid around $1300.00 for this and thought truck was fixed. Drove 63 miles down the road and then DEF light started flashing with all the engine light...

Took my truck to freightliner for a check engine light early in the a.m. and decided to wait for repairs. After numerous hours went to inquire about my vehicle and was told the mechanic was gone for the day and would return in the a.m. beginning at 6 a.m. I was given no notification about this neither through directly speaking to me as i was sitting in the waiting area, nor did i receive an email as mentioned to me when I first arrived. I was stranded and I"m female so I had to find a nearby hotel and cab to and from the dealership all at my expense. I still have not received any type of apology or accommodation for this inconvenience with this particular incident.
Desired outcome: To have my cab and hotel fare reimbursed if I've had to spend upwards of 1500.00 for truck repair

Front Desk Guy called: Art Franco. At Truck Center Company in Salina, KS.
This Guy has his own special customer he put in front of everybody else. I called before I showed up and ask, if I can make a appointment. He, himself over the phone told me we do first come first serve.
But I witnessed myself he talked to one of his special customer over the phone, and when driver of that company showed up, it was like ordering a fast food for this truck it was there for 1 hour and he was in hurry but Art said when you have time just call me before coming.
This Guy is a crook and because nobody is watching him, he is making alot of money with his specials customers. And wasting all other trucks time for his own personal benefit.
Desired outcome: Art Franco at Truck Center Company in Salina Kansas. Want to put someone else and have some type of over view. That one employee for his own benefit doesn’t make everyone else suffer.
Warranty
I truck had gear issues and they find out that transmission, transmission cooler and cooler lines are needed to be changed but I have truck warranty they refused to replace it under warranty.
Wiring on 2023 Freightliner MD106
ust purchased a 2023 Freightliner MD106. After only 6000kms, I am left with a truck that is not drivable due to severed wiring. This wiring was factory placed in position for this to be a certainty to happen, since it is crammed against a fairly sharp metal bracket. I was extremely weary on purchasing this vehicle because of extraordinary wiring issues with my 2018 Freightliner SD108. I am, to say the least, humiliated for buying another product from your company. Your engineering department needs to take a strong look at rectifying this simple, but very costly and frustrating problem for people in the trucking industry. I reiterate, I have a new 2023 truck, which I rely on for my livelihood, down for at least a couple days with only 6000kms on it. It will now have patched up wiring on a truck only one month old. This is totally unacceptable.

Last week stoops freightliner dealership in Indianapolis had replaced my CPC4 with overcharged price and yesterday when I drove it found out they shut off the idling and they governed my speed at 65 mph when I called and asked if they can fix it they said yes with charges of one hour work which I think they should have told me that they did such a thing

People if you have plans purchasing a frieghtliner in Eastern North Carolina stop immediately! Velocity dealership has bought all frieghtliner dealerships in eastern North Carolina, if you have any issues with paperwork their issue or yours they will hold you equipment until it's fixed. Companies has their equipment on hold for Months waiting for them to straighten out their issues.
Companies that spend hundreds of thousands a year at frieghtliner their equipment is locked out at these dealerships.
Desired outcome: the only outcome is to move to a different brand of truck!

I have taken my 2017 Cascadia 125 to freighliner 3 times in the last 2 months for issues with the DEF system..they have charged me over $2500 to fix the system issues $600 just for a sensor alone and now a week after servicing the truck I had to take it back for a third time for stop engine lights for the DEF(same) system and they issued me an estimate for almost $2000 and after I reviewed the estimate, I discovered that they were over charging me by $350 for work that was done the first time I brought the truck in for service and now they are telling me they are charging me more money for now thoroughly looking at the system... THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE...MEANWHILE I AM LOSING THOUSANDS OF DOLLAR A WEEK TO BE PUT BACK IN A LONG SERVICE LINE FOR MY TRUCK TO BE WORKED ON AGAIN...IF I BRING MY TRUCK BACK LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO FIX MY TRUCK WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE..IF IT WAS FIXED PROPERLY THE FIRST TWO TIMES I WOULDN'T HAVE TO COME BACK...THIS IS TRULY SEEMING AS IF THEY ARE PURPOSELY DOING MALICIOUS THINGS TO THE TRUCK FOR ME TO HAVE TO KEEP BRINGING IT BACK...AS A FORTUNE FIVE HUNDRED COMPANY THIS IS REPREHENSIBLE!...AND BEING A FREIGHTLINER PATRON I WOULD EXPECT TO BE TREATED WITH A HIGHER LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM AND APPRECIATION.

Their in service shop is terrible. The mobile team are the best guys but thats for fleets. Better going to Inter StatePower Systems in Gary.
