traction control system 2020 model m2
no problems with tcs until it snowed here in the mountains now with rear differential locked tcs system energizes derates power now the truck is going backwards down a hill into the ditch. 3 times now had to be winched out. called dealer and freightliner about this and nothing but excusses. this is unacceptible and for sure my last freightliner

Freightliner Cascadia DD 13
We've put our truck in the shop in Aug of 2021 and spent 27k on repairs. Again in December spent 10k and again in Feb. The bill so far is $3500 and raising.
They seem not to be able to find out what's wrong with it. There charging us for them shooting in the dark and guessing. They told us it was a def pump. They replaced that and we still had the same problem. They said it was a wiring problem with part of the harness. They replaced that and they still haven't fixed the issue. I feel like we're getting ripped off. This is our only truck. Our business is about to go belly up soon. And it's sad because these repairs never seem to end. Why is it these repairshops can't fix these trucks right the first time ?
My truck is at the empire trucks in Hattiesburg MS before that it was in Premier Freightliner in Dallas.
I will never take my truck back to either of these places.
Desired outcome: I need to talk with someone at corporate. To file an official complaint With freightliner and qsk them to help send a specialist to the Hattiesburg location
Misdiagnosis by dealer
After the check engine light came on I took the truck to Velocity truck center for a diagnosis. The dealer misdiagnosed the truck claiming it was a sensor issue. They had the truck for a week while they were test driving the truck the real problem which was the DEF filter got sucked into the engine and destroyed the engine. This is after I took it to get a second opinion since I felt like they did not know what they were doing at that dealership.

2022 cascadia
The front radar sensor frequently detects a target at 3 feet in front and slams on the brakes if the cruise control is on. If not, I get constant following too closely warnings or collision alerts. I believe this is unsafe and is certainly annoying and makes your product unpleasant to drive. This is the second 2022 cascadia I've driven that does this.
I drive for Western Express, but I am making the complaint on my own. Company is aware of the issue. I am not the only driver that had faced this issue.
Desired outcome: Look into and fix the problem. I am also making a complaint to the ntsb.
The sensitivity can be adjusted in the parameters. I believe the scale goes from 1 to 9. Better results is to set it at a 4. Less sensitive, but also gives the same benefits of braking if the driver is distracted.

I am filing a complaint against Freightliner In Fort Pierce, Florida due to a bad or inadequate repair of a clutch that was installed, and I paid a little over $4, 000.00 for and the clutch is still not properly installed. I took the truck back to freightliner twice and now the truck with the new clutch is still not properly working and working worse than when the old clutch was in it. I requested that a new clutch be installed, and they refused citing there is nothing wrong with the clutch that was installed. While the truck was being repaired Freightliner notified me that the jack handle broke on the crane that was holding up the transmission, but it did not affect the transmission. Once the repair on the clutch was made, they then expressed to me upon their repair that there was something wrong with the transmission. I was told before witness that 3 people from freightliner drove the truck prior to repair of the clutch and there was nothing else wrong with the truck except it indeed need a clutch and that was all that was reported to owner. The Owner then told Freightliner to proceed with the repair of the clutch. The was taken in a second time for the same problem with the clutch and possible transmission and The owner was told that they placed the truck on the machine but that they did not make any adjustments to the truck, but the truck still has the same concern and possible transmission. I was charged an additional $384.00 with no improvements to the clutch. The clutch now only change gears truck when you mash the gas.
I am seeking adequate repair of both the clutch and any damages that may have occurred with the transmission while in their repair since no concern was ever discussed about the transmission from me or from them when they test drove the truck until after the clutch was installed. The clutch is now worse than when it was taken into Freightliner.

Service
I have a Freightliner 26 ft box truck. I had the EGR Coolant system repaired in august 2021.
Took it to the Freightliner Truck Center in St Louis Mo after the driver noticed the check engine and warning lights to come on. The attendant (Keith and Anthony) stated the EGR system was bad.
I explained to them that I just had that work completed.
The Truck Center stated they completed a diagnostic test, and stated it was the same thing, again. So the Center proceeded to replace the EGR system, after we forward documentation of all previous work done in August 2021 and told them that we DID NOT think it was the EGR system. However, the Truck Center proceeded to tell us that it was a pick lock that was causing the problem in the system. The Truck Center repaired what they thought was the issue but actually wasn't, costing us thousands of dollars.
We picked the truck up on Nov. 9, the driver droved approximately 200 miles and noticed the warning lights on again. He proceeded to take it to the nearest Truck Center, Inc (Sikeston, MO) where the attendant stated the same codes were showing, and after inspection (they) said it was the injector.
so the EGR system should not have been replaced. Our complaint is that the Truck Center in St. Louis failed to run diagnostic and sight the actual problem. Related documentation will be forwarded to the Corporate office and the Better Business Bureau.

Aftertreatment One Box
We are a small independent heavy duty shop. We are trying to procure an aftertreatment One Box. We have had this on order for over five weeks. This repair is an insurance covered repair. Our dealer, (Excel Truck Group) is telling us that you, Freightliner Trucks / Daimler Trucks North America can not give them a date when the part we need to complete our customer's unit will be available. I have to have something to tell this customer that is about to loose his truck to foreclosure because we can't get a Freightliner part.
Desired outcome: The desired outcome would be either a new One Box to install or an accurate date one would be available.
Service
Took my truck to premier Mississauga dealer for a Def related issue . Service came back with a diagnosis said the cost would be $4600 or so to fix the issue .
Then they came back and said the turbo is also a issue and quoted another 8000 in parts .
This is already unreasonable as if they had mentioned during the initial diagnosis the cost would be this high I would not have fixed the truck. As the repair costs are close to the truck value .
However since I had already spend that much I had no choice but to agree. It's been 2 weeks at the dealer now, and everyday they say they're waiting on small parts but it's almost done .
Now finally 2 weeks later, they call back . Saying now there is another issue and adding another $2500 to the bill.
I fail to understand what the point of a diagnosis or troubleshooting is. If they cannot fix the issue, and just keep coming up with things. This makes no sense to me . This is ridiculous. I pay the troubleshooting cost for them to identify the issue .
Desired outcome: Would like to pay the initial quote. Cannot accept that random charges be add on as it goes. Unreasonable expectations

Hello,
I brought my truck on 05/11/2021 to Transwest Freightliner dealership at Brighton CO for periodic inspection. The reported that it had engine gaskets need to be replaced. Truck was running fine for 3 months all over the states.
After I received the truck I noticed that the ABS light is on and the cigarette socket doesn't work. I reported that back before I leave, technician told me that ABS light would go away after driving for ten miles. ABS didn't go away and I had to bring it back.
Issues were fix and I had to pay for issues created by the dealer again. Truck went to first trip after this periodic maintenance on 06/15/2021 and fan clutch broke down and air intake sensor and temperature sensor as well. I reported to transwest that I have brought this truck for periodic inspection and maintenance and these issues just came immediately after I took the truck from their shop so their inspection and maintenance wasn't accurate. The manager named Jim stated that they don't foresee issues come in the future. Knowing that these issues just popped up the same day I received the truck from them and I had to spend almost $5000 to tow and fix the truck again.
Practices like this will take us out off business because negligence like this will drain our company financially and our truck will stop working for awhile. No one will cover our losses even though they know it was caused by their unreliable services. I am not going to use this dealership for good but I need to get compensated for all the losses it caused by them. I would rather use independent shops at least someone will be held accountable for such negligence.
Unfortunately I sent another truck for periodic inspection before I find out that Transwest has messed up my first truck. it took them 4 weeks to get it fix for the alleged things need to be fixed by them. which is was the exhaust manifold. the cracked the turbo while deassembling of the parts and send me a picture with cracked bolt and allegation of turbo replacement suggestion because it has dirt on it. I refused the quote because I believe there was no need to replace it and it was more than 11k. On July 1 2021 the agent Jim sent me an email to come and receive the truck as totally fixed. I paid 4700 and a little bit more bucks signed and head out to receive the truck and I found out that there was weird sound on the engine. I called Jim to come out and listen and he called his technician and I had to leave. Afternoon Jim called and said the turbo is gone and it needs to be replaced. How a turbo problem just popped up during a maintenance and not even after I drove my truck. I strongly believe Transwest Brighton are fraudulently ruined my first truck and second truck to make me come back to fix it and pay more money.
I am submitting this complaint in several colorado governmental agencies and filing a lawsuit with my attorney. My company is broke and I will never use a dealership like Transwest ever in my life again.
I have two drivers with no job because of the repeated damage Transwest caused.

Temple freightliner
I took my truck to Temple Freightliner at 4848 N. General Bruce Dr. Temple, Texas on April 21, 2021. It took them two weeks to repair it and I was charged $2469.59. I had to return my truck for the same problem not even a week, later. I was given a estimate for $11, 650.02 to repair my truck. After, losing two weeks of pay and $2, 469.59, I took my truck to another a shop and only paid $350 to repair my truck for the same problem that I took it to Freightliner for. Initially, I asked Freightliner to just fix my truck since they took my money for a problem that was not corrected. The only solution they up with was for me to pay an outlandish amount of money and a payment plan. They refused to fix my truck and not only that I felt totally robbed after only paying so little to fix the problem and day worth of pay. That's bad business and reflects poorly on Freightliner as a company.
Desired outcome: Refund of $2469.59 since they did not repair my truck

I had 6 injectors in my semi replaced in Truck Center Troy iL. At 21k miles having engine problems. Job was done Jan 25, 2021. Transmission
I have a 2015 Freightliner cascadia in a year and a half I've had my truck in three different shops for the transmission. Abilene Texas replace the TCM and the clutches that was the year and a half ago. 7 days ago I started having problems took it to the dealership and Albuquerque they told me it was the clutch pack and the clutch break 6, 200 dollars I explained to them what the problem was and what the computer said they said they fixed it. I am now at the Amarillo Freightliner with the same exact problem when my truck went to Albuquerque. So they did not fix my truck and charge me $6, 200.. for now I have a total of $11, 300 into my transmission and I'm still not done with Amarillo Freightliner I need some help this is ridiculous I should not have to put 18 to $20, 000 into my transmission in a year and a half..

I run a small fleet of Freightliner day cabs. The nearest dealer is 150 miles away. The dealership is in San Antonio. I choose to order from a dealership 235 mikes away because you can never get any help from Doggett. I've complained to management and never saw a change. I now order from dealer in Austin. Today I ordered drivetrain parts that I can also purchase from Cummins. I was shocked to get a 2400.00 dollar invoice when I could have gotten it for less than half from Cummins. I found same parts aftermarket and it was 20% of the dealership in Austin. I understand you need to make money on your sales but 5 X aftermarket and 2 X from dealer (Cummins). Let be real.

Good afternoon, I have a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia that I recently have had a problem with. I am experiencing the air compressor constantly running and purging every minute. So I get a load to Oklahoma City and decided to take it to the Freightliner Premier group service department in Oklahoma City 5301 I-40 Oklahoma City 73128. I arrived at the dealership at roughly 6 a.m. on Saturday September 12th explained my problem and I was informed there was three trucks ahead of me and it would be a wait time 5 to 6 hours being that I had no load that day I was fine with the wait. As it turns out I did not get my truck into the shop until 4:30 that afternoon which I understand is it was a Saturday I had to wait my turn all the while I was waiting at the dealership again I was okay with that cuz I understand, so after a few more hours I noticed the tech it took my truck into the shop was changing his clothes and getting ready to go home for the day, so I went to the service desk to inquire they told me that they were working up the estimate and they would get right back to me another hour went by and then the service desk girl came out to explain what the problem was. I was told that my truck needed a loader valve and a purge valve to fix the problem, so I told her absolutely go ahead at this time I was informed that my truck had been pulled out of the shop and I was now at the back of the line and the truck would not be ready until 5 a.m.. So I asked about recommendations for hotels and I proceeded to go to a hotel. So in the morning around 7 a.m. I called to check on my truck and I was informed that it had not been pulled into the shop yet that it should be done around 1 p.m. frustrated and unsure if it was going to be done I booked another night at the hotel. At 1:30 p.m. I was called by Patrick I'm assuming the service desk person asking me for the keys because the doors were locked I informed him that they pulled the truck out of the shop and I did not have the key but I did inform him there was a Hide a key he told me the truck should be done around 4:30. So at 5:30 I called back to the shop and was told that my truck also needed an air dryer at this point I was getting pretty mad I asked him first of all why my truck is pulled out of the shop on Saturday after the tech had evaluated it and why being that I was waiting wasn't the service done at that time after my approval he had no answer. So now it is Sunday and the part can't be ordered from Tulsa because they did not have it in their stock until Monday morning and it would not be arriving in Oklahoma city until afternoon so again I booked another night at the hotel. So at 1:30 in the afternoon on Monday I called to see if the part had arrived and it had just gotten there and my truck was in line to be pulled into the shop and I was reassured that the truck would be done by 5 p.m. on Monday I made him aware that I needed to know the minute the truck was done I needed to get a call that I didn't want to have to call back and find out it wasn't done. So add a round 7 p.m. I received a call that my truck was done. So all this cost me $2, 008.46 plus three nights at a hotel $100 each plus loss of work when I picked up the truck I did not notice because it was a short drive back to the hotel if the repair has been done correct, in the morning I headed out on another run heading back towards my home base in Arizona after a short while I realized that the truck was doing exactly what I took it to the shop for and nothing had been repaired to fix the problem. To this day it's still doing it and I took it to Freightliner velocity of Las Vegas service department on 10/10 to get another issued looked at and I asked the service man about this problem he said it would take more investigation but it was definitely not right. Being it was a Saturday they did not have enough tech's on duty the spend the time on this problem that I would have to bring it back when I had more time. So after this long rant here is my problem I took the truck to a Freightliner dealer not some local mechanic which I figured would know how to fix a problem on a Freightliner truck it cost me $2, 000 in parts and labor and basically all they did throw Parts at it and hope it got fixed I find this to be appalling. But here I am needing to take the truck back to the shop or more labor and evaluation and more parts to hopefully get this problem resolved. But I know the people at velocity in Las Vegas will get this problem fixed because they are a very good service department and I recommend them highly I don't care what my problem is or will be if I am ever near Oklahoma City I will never take my truck to that dealer again. The service department is run very poorly and have no concerns about the trucking business and how time is money.

Truck went into shop on saturday august 8, 2020 failed to [censored] repairs it is now august 18th and was not even properly assest to date, and then charged me 280.00 for labor I say they never did anything to it, this dealer doesn't cominicate at all with me about anything truck sat here and nothing was done snak transport llc will never use or send anyone here to get a bolt and nut
Service truck repairs
I am the fleet manager for Canadian Linen Ottawa Ontario Canada. I sent my truck there late december 2019 for a battery going dead overnight. It was diagnosed needing a fuel pump (?) They needed to order a test tool to varify the fuel pump issue. It was a battery draw I wanted repaired. After about 20 hour of diagnostics they said the no start problem was repaired. A $4000.00 bill was presented to me with a note stating that the truck was repaired. I paid the bill, went into the yard and the truck was dead. They said they could give me a boos, but the truck was not starting. That was the middle of February. They kept it for 2 more weeks telling me I needed a flex pipe for the exhaust. I told them to fix the no start problem. They wanted to continue charging me for a repair that was paid for already. After that I was told the truckwas repaired. I picked it up in the afternoon late February, and needed to boost it the next morning. In the meantime they send another ivoice for diagnostics and a PO# request. They cancelled the bill and my truck will not start today. I sent it for a no start, paid $4000.00, and now need to bost it every morning. The quality of service and staff was beyond terrible. I have been in the industry for many years as manager and technician. After a few phone calls that I had to make to the service advisors and the service manager my trust was lost.The service manager told me it needed to be plugged in. I spent al that money for that kind of answer?

We are small company and runs 10 freightliner cascadia trucks. Recently on July 20, 2019 my driver had probelm when his steering locked and he was not able to turn left . He can turn right but steering locked and it wont turn left . Later if starts happening frequently . We went to Freightliner Manitoba dealer located in winnipeg and explained them the problem. Later when we called them to ask they said we didn't understand what was the problem and said we cant do allignment as it maybe alliagnment issue . Again i explained the man on service counter that steering jams itself and does not turn left . He said he will explain to his technician . I asked them to check steering box as it might be issue with that as i read on google when i searched it might be issue . I was so confused so one of my friends asked me to call Fleet brake and discuss with them. When i called their service counter and explained this problem, they told me that it should be Steering Box issue, at the same time i asked them if they cover freightliner warranties but they said they don't . Now my truck was sitting at Freightliner Manitoba for 2 days and my issue was not resolved. Next day we got call from freightliner that they fixed the issue . Today on Aug 5, 2019 my driver called and said he had the same problem again. I am so very frustrated right now as we constantly having trouble with freightliner service and thinking about never buying any freightliner again. We are having downtime issues . We are paying so much money and still having problems with our trucks. I am attaching the invoice . It is very strange that they charged us this money when they even didn't knew what they are fixing .
