I bought a used car from M&I Motors more than 2 months ago, but I still haven't gotten my license plate or any registration
I bought a used car from M&I Motors more than 2 months ago, but I still haven't gotten my license plate or any registration. I'm driving around with expired temporary plates, and the dealership isn't helping at all.
I bought a pick-up truck from M&I Motors and had some problems with it starting
I bought a pick-up truck from M&I Motors and had some problems with it starting. They told me to take the truck to a nearby garage and they would pay me back for the parts and repairs. I sent them the receipt, but they won't give me my money until I sign a document. I read the document and it seems like they want to avoid any responsibility for the truck. I'm not going to sign it if that's the case. All I want is for them to reimburse me for the garage expenses.
I bought a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from M&I Motors for around $40,000 on February 19
I bought a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from M&I Motors for around $40,000 on February 19. Just a week later, I had to take it back to the dealership because the truck had problems. It wouldn't start, you know? So, I told them about it and they said they'd check it out. They took their sweet time, though, and only after 4 days did they tell me to come pick it up. But guess what? Same problem! Can you believe it? I had to go back to the dealership five times before the truck finally broke down in the Home Depot parking lot. Can you imagine the frustration?
They kept saying they fixed it, but they never really did. So, I had to get it towed back to the dealership. And guess what they did? They took it to a different dealership and somehow managed to burn the electrical system! Can you believe the nerve? Now they're asking for $900 to fix it. Like, seriously? After all the trouble they caused, they expect me to pay for their mistakes? It's just not right, you know?
Overall, nothing got fixed, and the dealership flat out refused to repair the truck. I have no idea where my truck is now. It's just a mess, and I'm so frustrated with the whole situation.

I bought a 2010 *** Prius from M&I Motors on January 15th
I bought a 2010 *** Prius from M&I Motors on January 15th. When I asked about any mechanical problems, they assured me that the car was in great condition. However, after driving just 25 miles, the check engine light, traction control, and ABS light came on. I did some investigating and discovered that the car had a faulty transmission, which was causing these error codes to appear multiple times. It seems that the dealership intentionally cleared the codes before selling the car, knowing about the transmission issues. If you try to return the car, they charge a 10% restocking fee, which seems like a scam. They are fully aware that the codes will reappear after driving a certain number of miles. I believe I deserve a full refund for the car, considering that they were aware of the transmission problems.
11/19, I paid around $31,000 for a car from M&I Motors
11/19, I paid around $31,000 for a car from M&I Motors. They promised me a clean and functional vehicle without any pre-existing problems. However, just two days after receiving the car, the check engine light turned on, and I had to take it to my mechanic. I contacted the salesman and expressed my discomfort with the issues, stating that I wanted to return the car. The salesman assured me not to worry and said they would take care of the problems and make things right.
I ended up spending $2100 to replace the pump, gaskets, and other necessary repairs. When I reached out to the management, they instructed me to send them the invoice so they could review it and determine what they could do. However, since then, I have been experiencing difficulties in getting a response from them. They have not returned my calls or emails.
Despite their initial assurance to resolve the issue, it has now been 3-4 weeks, and I still cannot reach anyone at M&I Motors through phone or email. It seems like they are intentionally avoiding addressing the problem.
I bought a car from M & I Motors on February 14th
I bought a car from M & I Motors on February 14th. I paid the dealer for title and registration fees. I also got an extended warranty from the dealer as part of my loan. It's been over 4 months now, and my car is still not registered, so I can't drive it legally. On March 26th, I canceled my extended warranty on the DOWC website, which takes care of the warranty. They told me I had to cancel directly with the dealer. On March 28th, I sent the email to Scott at M and I Motors, telling him I want to cancel the extended warranty officially. After a voicemail on April 3rd, Scott tells me he has sent me the cancellation form by mail. On April 14th, I filled out the form and sent it back to Scott. On Monday, June 15th, I emailed Scott explaining that I want these two issues resolved. As of Monday, June 22nd, both of these issues are still not resolved, and I haven't received the services I paid M & I for.
I bought a car from M&I on 12/2
I bought a car from M&I on 12/2. They didn't give me a copy of my warranty, so I had to call them multiple times to get it. Finally, on 12/18, Scott emailed me saying, "I'll have the warranty copy on Monday. Sorry for the delay." I sent them 5 emails and made a few calls (one time Scott even hung up on me and didn't respond when I emailed to finish my question). I didn't receive the warranty copy until 3/9, which was 7 days after it expired, so it was useless. This was especially frustrating because I had several serious issues with the car during those first three months. On 12/17, I canceled the other two extended warranties from M&I Motors. It took a bunch of emails to get the refund, and they only refunded one of them. After showing evidence from DOWC, Scott finally agreed to refund $399 for the key warranty and $33 for tax. But by March, I still hadn't received the $33. On 3/9, Scott emailed me saying, "I'll send you $33.00 via cashier check on Friday." I sent 7 more emails asking about it, but I still haven't gotten my refund.
I bought a 2018 Dodge Ram ProMaster Cargo Van from M&I Motors on 10/05
I bought a 2018 Dodge Ram ProMaster Cargo Van from M&I Motors on 10/05. The sales reps rushed me and pressured me because it was late in the day. They didn't give me enough time to review all the paperwork. They told me the van had a small accident, but it wasn't a big deal. They said I was getting a great deal and that the van was in excellent condition. But when I went out of state, I found out that the van had been in a serious accident and was badly damaged. I had to spend $1,000 on repairs for the damage from the accident, which was done poorly. I tried contacting M&I Motors many times since October , but they never responded to my calls or emails. The van is listed as "salvage," so I can't sell or trade it. They sold me a bad van, and what they did was really wrong and unethical. I'm a social worker and I take care of a disabled partner. I don't make much money, and all my income goes towards paying off this van that I can't use for what I originally bought it for because of the damage. I want M&I Motors to do the right thing and let me return the van and give me a full refund. I'm currently out of state, so it would be best if they could pick it up from where I am. But if they're willing to let me return it, I'm willing to drive it back to M&I Motors myself.
I bought a 2013 Land Rover from M&I Motors on January 8 for an undisclosed amount
I bought a 2013 Land Rover from M&I Motors on January 8 for an undisclosed amount. When I asked if the car had been serviced, they told me not to worry about it. They said if they missed anything, they would take care of it because the car had a warranty. After I purchased the car, I drove down the street to get gas and noticed that the service engine light had come on. I thought maybe the gas cap wasn't tight, so I went back home and took it to a local auto parts store to have it checked out. The diagnosis showed that it was the O2 sensor. I contacted M&I Motors and sent them the information I received. They told me it was nothing and to contact the warranty company. I did that and started a claim. On the sixth day, the vehicle broke down on the highway. I contacted the warranty company and they sent a tow truck to take it to a shop. I found out that it needed major repairs. M&I Motors told me not to worry about it and that they would take care of it. They asked me to bring it to their service shop. The service shop said it would be covered under the 30-day warranty. However, once I explained that I was out of town, they said they needed to speak with someone else. They transferred me to another person who asked if I had an estimate. I said yes and sent it to him. He said it was nothing and that they would take care of it. I didn't hear back from him for a few days. Finally, when I got them back on the phone, they said it was a used car and that I should take care of it. I said that wasn't fair to me and explained my point. They offered to pay $800, but I would have to pay the rest. I asked if they could at least pay half, but they said no. I then said I would like to return the car and get my money back. They sent me some letters stating that I would have to pay restocking fees and lose a few thousand dollars. I need help.
I bought a car from M&I Motors in October
I bought a car from M&I Motors in October. The salesperson rushed me through the contract. I paid $31000 in cash for the car. $5000 of that money was serviced through a financial institution called *** financial. I thought it was a regular bank and that my first payment wouldn't be due until November. However, after making two payments, *** decided to do a buy back. I didn't understand what that meant at the time, and they refused to take my payments. But they actually did take them, and I have proof. Even though I made the two payments, they told me they weren't servicing my loan. After many attempts and sending payments to them anyway, I was finally told that the loan went back to M&I Motors. I tried contacting them, but they ignored my emails and didn't give me any information on what to do next. It seemed like they were purposely withholding information to repossess the car. Additionally, M&I Motors refused to put their name on the new title as the financial institution. The only reason I found out they were the financial institution was because *** financial contacted them after my attempts to make payments and find out the next steps. They told M&I Motors to take their name off the title and put M&I Motors' name on it instead. Once they realized I knew about their tactics, they put their name on the title and started harassing and threatening me, saying they would repossess the car because I hadn't made payments. They even said they wouldn't count the payments I made to ***. Imagine if I hadn't known they were the financial institution and hadn't made any payments. They were planning to withhold this information and repossess and resell the car to make more money for the same vehicle.
I bought a car from M&I Motors after seeing it online
I bought a car from M&I Motors after seeing it online. The salesman assured me that the car had been inspected and was in great condition. He even discouraged me from buying another car I was interested in. He claimed that the other car lot was a scam. I trusted him and considered buying the car he recommended. He kept calling me, saying that if he were my father, he would advise me to purchase it because the warranty was great. He also mentioned that he had been selling cars for over 30 years and wouldn't sell me a bad deal. Eventually, I went to my bank and got a loan for the purchase. The next day, I called the salesman to inform him that there was a problem with the car. He assured me that they would fix it. I asked for the car to be serviced, but they kept telling me that all the places were booked up and they couldn't get it to a shop. Finally, I took it to the Napelton Dealer, who couldn't detect any codes unless the lights were on the dashboard. I informed the car lot about this, and they said they would ship the car back to fix it, but they never did because of the holiday. After the holidays, the car still wasn't fixed, and the lot kept making empty promises. Eventually, my lights came on again, and I took it back to the Napelton store. They found over $16,799.00 worth of major repairs and said the car wasn't safe to drive. I told the car lot that it made sense why I lost control of the car on the first snowy day. They assured me they would hurry to fix it, but they waited over a week to tell me that the owner denied the repairs due to the mileage. This is unacceptable. M&I Motors needs to refund my money or fix the car. They knew about the damages, and I didn't buy this car just to have it sit and not be able to drive it or be lied to about the warranty coverage.
