This dishwasher is horrible. I have had a truly terrible experience with it. In less than two years after purchasing it, the appliance quit working. In October 2024, I called the customer care center (that's a misnomer) because they really didn't care. I was informed that the product was out of warranty, and they referred me to a local repair shop (ASAP Appliance Repair) here in Atlanta.
ASAP Appliance Repair came out about 5 weeks ago to diagnose why it quit working. The repair person with help from Midea Tech support, diagnosed that it was the Water Drain Pump (but it really wasn't. Let me explain further).
The part was ordered. The ASAP tech returned about a week later. The dishwasher still didn't work. The next diagnosis was the door switch after speaking with Midea Tech. That again was a misdiagnosis. The dishwasher still didn't work. Now it's been diagnosed as the Circuit Board. Midea states that the circuit board won't be available until February 2025. This is ridiculous!
After learning about this latest diagnosis from ASAP Appliance Repair, I contacted the Warranty Division and spoke with Joylee who was very empathetic. She referred me to her supervisor. However, Kiarra, the supervisor was not, and hid behind the 1-year warranty and refused to help remunerate the problem. She refused to give me the name of Midea's president or complaint line. Trust me, I found both.
So, why would she hide behind the fact of not being allowed to give that information out, especially after the President was hired in January of 2024? So, here we are. Me filing a complaint and me sending a letter to John Herrington, President and CEO. 5 Sylvan Way, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
If your product can't work after only two years, there's some kind of defect in workmanship.
Claimed loss: My loss to date is $179.00 for the cost of ASAP Appliance Repair (and that doesn't include the parts as I described in the above complaint), plus my time in having to pursue this repair of the dishwasher.
Desired outcome: Pay for the repair of the dishwasher and the parts or replace it. Why would you want to have a dissatisfied customer over a dishwasher share with others their dissatisfaction with your product in reviews?

Midea does not want to take any blame and their support is a joke of incompetence. Avoid the hassle with their "technology" and "warranty" mimes. If it is a piece of trash after two years, it would be more cost effective to change it to a brand that believes in its products. If you want to get costs back, go through small claims – case clear, defect clear. The organization is over, don't depress yourself further looking after their idiots.
