Disappointing Experience with MotoBuys: False Promises and Ignorant Policy Fees
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with MotoBuys. I was really excited to get my daughter a PINK go kart for Christmas, but when it arrived, it was RED. I was pretty upset, so I called the company to see what could be done. The sales rep I spoke to assured me that there were pink go karts in stock and that I would get my first choice if I placed an order. So, I went ahead and ordered it.
To my surprise, the go kart arrived pretty quickly, but it was still red. I called the company again, but they weren't open yet because I live in the eastern time zone. I didn't know what to do, so I refused the order. When I finally got through to the company, they told me that I would be charged $400 for a restocking fee and shipping. My only option was to accept the red go kart before it was fully returned by the shipping company.
When I told the sales rep that I was assured I would get my first choice, he told me that inventory lists are only run once a week and that the original person I spoke with should have told me that. Although the manager listened to my call and agreed that I was told it would be pink, the only option I was given was for him to ship me some spray paint in pink or give me a $50 credit to buy some on my own.
I really wanted to support a USA made company, but I can't get behind a policy like this. Long story short, I was able to get the red kart brought back and delivered, but I'll have a disappointed little girl on Christmas morning. I'm not willing to pay for such ignorant policy fees. I'm still waiting on my "pink spray paint" for my brand new $1,000.00 go kart that I may have to end up spray painting myself. This policy is just horrible, man.
MotoBuys Review: Terrible Warranty, Defective Products, and Unprofessional Customer Service
I recently bought a 150cc Go Kart from MotoBuys and boy, was I in for a ride! The package arrived with no instructions for assembly, which I found quite odd. It seems like they don't want to take responsibility for the terrible warranty they offer on their products. To make matters worse, they don't even inspect their items before shipping them out. So, if you're planning on buying from them, be prepared to face some issues.
When I finally managed to assemble the go kart, I realized that it had a blown fuse, non-functioning lights, and the carburetor was incorrectly assembled at the factory. I had to take it to a mechanic who confirmed that the carburetor was indeed incorrectly assembled. I tried contacting MotoBuys several times, but they kept hanging up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. They even ignored my calls after that. All they did was send me warranty documentation stating that they don't pay for labor, even when they ship a defective item!
After spending a considerable amount of money on repairs, I finally got the go kart back from the mechanic. But guess what? On the very first attempt to ride it, the gear shift linkage broke off from the engine block. I couldn't believe it! I haven't even driven the thing yet, and it's already falling apart. When I contacted MotoBuys again, they refused to take it back and just told me to buy parts. They won't even send me a new engine!
Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. They disconnect customers when they call for technical help or to talk to managers about returns. It's just not professional. They hide behind their internet sales and don't take responsibility for their products. If you're planning on buying from them, beware! You might get a working vehicle, but if you don't, you're screwed. I'm stuck with a $1,700 item that I can't even drive. I've already spent $200 on repairs, and I might have to pay $400 more for a new engine. But I won't give up. I'm going to dispute this with my credit card company and hopefully get my money back.
Disappointing Experience with Motobuys: Trailmaster Ultra Blazer 200 EX EFI Go Kart Arrived Severely Damaged
I recently bought a Trailmaster Ultra Blazer 200 EX EFI Go Kart from Motobuys for my son's Christmas present. I paid $4,299.00 for the unit, which included delivery and 95% assembly. However, when the unit arrived on 12/10/2021, it was severely damaged. The unit had huge gouges, scratches, and even the metal gas tank on top of the motor was smashed in. The front grill was busted, and the tire had some marks on it. I was disappointed and refused to accept the damaged unit since I ordered a new one.
When the unit was returned to Motobuys, they sent me an email stating that their mechanic had inspected the unit and found that only the gas tank and grill were damaged, and it could have easily been fixed. They also claimed that there were no scratches or scrapes on the unit. I tried calling Motobuys several times, but they would not take my call. I had to use my son's phone to call them since it appeared they blocked my number. When I spoke with someone in sales, they first told me that there was nothing wrong with my unit and that it was just the gas tank and grill that needed fixing. I asked about the gouges, which they claimed did not exist, and they said they could send me some paint to touch it up. In addition, Motobuys charged me $561.00 to return the damaged unit.
I was concerned about the safety of the unit. Would I let my child drive it when something very heavy had smashed it? If the gas tank was this damaged, what could be going on with the motor? I checked out the axle where the wheel is, and I'm pretty sure the weight of the unit is not supposed to balance on it. I am now working with the BBB and Attorney General in Texas to get my money refunded.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Motobuys. The damaged unit was not what I paid for, and their customer service was lacking. It was frustrating to have to use my son's phone to get a response from them, and their initial response was dismissive of my concerns. I hope that my experience can help others make an informed decision when considering purchasing from Motobuys.
Motobuys.com Review: Zero Stars - Don't Trust Their Satisfaction Guarantee for Christmas Purchases
I remember back in 2013 when I decided to order a go cart with helmets and accessories for my grandkids from Motobuys.com. It was supposed to be a Christmas present for them. Unfortunately, my husband had just been diagnosed with advanced cancer and I had just had knee replacement surgery, so we couldn't travel to make the purchase. I was really excited about the gift, but things didn't go as planned.
After making the purchase, I received an email from Motobuys.com advising me that I would be receiving a follow-up email within 5 days to make arrangements for delivery by truck. However, I didn't receive any emails and after a week, I started getting anxious about the arrival of the go cart in time for Christmas. I decided to call the number on the Motobuys website to inquire about the delivery status. To my surprise, I was advised that due to an ice storm at their Texas warehouse, no one was able to get there to arrange shipment. I was reassured that as soon as it cleared, I would be getting my go carts and there was still plenty of time for shipment.
I made almost daily calls to Motobuys with repeated reassurances that they only needed 3 days to get it to me. However, they quit answering the phone 4 days before Christmas and not responding to voice mails or e-mails. I was really worried and didn't know what to do. After filing a complaint with one of their purchase satisfaction guarantee companies posted on their website, I was advised that Motobuys told them that I had repeatedly been told that they did not have the go cart and it was on back order. This was the first time I had heard that. I would have thought a reputable company would have offered alternative inventory if this was not in stock. This was really very distressing for not only our grandkids but us and their parents as well.
The satisfaction guarantee company was almost as useless as Motobuys in that they advised since no money officially changed hands, I had no grounds for filing a complaint. This reassurance guarantee was one of the reasons that prompted us to go ahead and purchase through Motobuys. Needless to say, if ZERO STARS was an option, that's what they would get. With Christmas 2014 fast approaching, I felt compelled to warn consumers to look elsewhere than Motobuys for your Christmas purchases.
In conclusion, my experience with Motobuys was really disappointing. I was really looking forward to giving my grandkids a great Christmas present, but it didn't happen. I hope that this review will help others avoid the same experience.
Positive Review of MotoBuys: Chinese Machines are Great if You Take Care of Them!
I gotta say, I've seen a lot of people giving businesses like MotoBuys a hard time for selling Chinese machines. But honestly, most of the time it's the customer's fault for not taking care of their purchase properly. I've had several Chinese mopeds, motorcycles, and dirtbikes, and they've all lasted me a good while because I take care of them and follow the manual. Plus, let's be real, most of the people who write reviews on this site are the ones who received a broken product.
Anyway, I recently bought a Yamasaki YM50-9 50cc 4-speed manual "motorcycle" from MotoBuys and it arrived in perfect condition. I even emailed the company a couple of times with questions and they got back to me quickly. I love my new bike and I'm taking great care of it. If something were to break, it wouldn't be fair to blame it on the company. They're just reselling the product.
This was my first time buying from MotoBuys, but I've bought from other Chinese wholesale websites before and I've never had any issues. I'd definitely buy from them again. To all the customers who come on here complaining, you need to chill out and be respectful. These companies have a lot to deal with, and if you're polite and understanding, they'll do their best to help you out. And if something really bad happens, you can always dispute the payment.
So yeah, stop being so rude and greedy, and try being kind for once. It'll get you a lot further in life. Thanks for reading, Dean.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with Motobuys.com - Stay Away!
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Motobuys.com. I ordered a TrailMaster Youth XRX go cart for my daughter for $1500.00 and I still haven't received my MSO or even an invoice. It's been seven weeks now and I've been going back and forth with the General Manager, Bill, who keeps insisting that the MSO came with the go cart and that I just can't find it. What a load of baloney! After weeks of arguing with him, he finally said that he would request a duplicate MSO from the factory and that it would take up to two weeks. But then three weeks passed and still no MSO or invoice. When I complained to the BBB, I finally got a call from Michael at the factory who said that they had just received my request and that they would send out the original MSO that day. But get this - the factory doesn't even send out an MSO with every purchase like the Motobuys.com employees had been telling me! They only send one if the customer specifically requests it. What a bunch of liars! I forwarded this information back to Motobuys.com to educate them, but I doubt they'll listen. Bill, the so-called "General Manager," doesn't even know how the process works! It's taken me over a dozen emails and four phone calls just to get this far. And judging by the other negative comments I've seen, it looks like Motobuys.com is just full of excuses. If you need customer service after the sale, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. And if you do end up dealing with them, be prepared to run around in circles and get absolutely nowhere. Bill, you really need to find a new job because you're just not cutting it.
UPDATE: Well, it's been a month and a half since I made my purchase and I finally received a receipt from Motobuys.com last night. I guess turning to the BBB helped in some way, but I'm still waiting on my MSO. Maybe I'll get it next month, who knows? Great job, guys!
Motobuys.com Review: Terrible Customer Service, False Promises, and No Order Confirmation
I was browsing through motobuys.com and saw that they were offering a sweet deal - a $75 discount if you order 2 Dirt bikes. I was planning to get both bikes shipped to one location, but I decided to give them a call to ask if I could still get the discount if both bikes were shipped to different locations. I spoke with a guy named Bob, and he said that I could still get the discount, but I had to place the order over the phone. I went ahead and placed my order, and Bob asked me to send him a copy of my credit card and driver's license, which I did. I also asked him if I would receive an email confirmation with my order information, and he said yes.
After waiting for 4 days, I still hadn't received any order confirmation, so I decided to give them a call. I asked for Bob, but I ended up speaking with a guy named Chris. He told me that I wouldn't receive any confirmation because it was a phone order. I was confused, so I called again and finally got Bob on the line. He told me that the email confirmation was on its way, but I never received it. I called again to inquire about my order, but I'm not sure who I spoke to this time. They asked for an order number, but I didn't have any information because I never received a receipt or confirmation. Finally, they sent me a tracking number for one bike, but it didn't provide any information about the destination. I couldn't believe it!
I decided to check my credit card account and saw that they charged me the full price without the $75 discount, and I still hadn't received an order confirmation with an itemized receipt. I called them again and spoke to a guy named Joe (I think he gave me a fake name because he paused after I asked him). I explained to him that Bob took my order by phone to ensure that I got the $75 discount, but Joe said that it was a mistake and that I would be charged the full price. I asked him if I had to pay for Bob's mistake, and he said yes. I couldn't believe it!
Now they won't pick up my calls, so I decided to email them again. I asked Bill (the manager) if there was any way we could resolve this issue other than canceling my order. Maybe they could throw in a Peewee chest protector ($60 item)? But Bill said no and canceled my order.
I wouldn't trust these people. They will lie to you. I had to go as far as canceling my credit card because they had a copy of it. Bill has a big ego and employs a bunch of thugs. This is an internet-based business, so they probably do a lot of volume sales and couldn't care less about their customers. This bad review will join dozens of others.
Ultimately, they did me a favor. I used tboltusa.com to get my bikes, and they were pure gentlemen. I saved $150, and I received my order confirmation with an itemized receipt.
MotoBuys Review: Disappointing Experience with Wrong Size Helmet and Generic Gloves
I recently purchased a snowmobile helmet and XL riding gloves from MotoBuys. However, I received an email stating that the gloves would be shipped separately. I was disappointed to find out that the helmet I received was in the wrong size (XL instead of 2XL). I tried to contact the company through emails and phone calls to get return information, but it took multiple attempts to get a response. I had to ship the helmet back at my own expense and it took three weeks for the correct size to be delivered. Unfortunately, I still had not received any word on the gloves after multiple attempts to contact the company.
Finally, I received the gloves in the mail today, but they were not the riding gloves I had ordered. Instead, they were generic one-size-fits-all gloves that were not suitable for snowmobiling. I was disappointed and frustrated with this experience and sought a resolution from the company. I requested that they reimburse me for the mailing expense, send me the snowmobile riding gloves I had ordered, and pay for the mailing on the return of the generic gloves I received.
The company responded by stating that the gloves were a free gift and were exactly as advertised on their website. They claimed that the ad clearly stated that the gloves were leather riding gloves and that nowhere did it say snowmobile gloves. They also pointed out that the customer paid nothing for the gloves and that they were one size fits all real leather riding gloves. They apologized that their efforts did not meet my expectations.
I rebutted by stating that the photo of the "free" riding gloves on the website was of snowmobile riding gloves. I had entered XL as the size for the riding gloves, but the one-size-fits-all gloves I received were not XL. Since the "free" gloves were part of a package for a snowmobile helmet, I assumed they were for snowmobiling. The gloves I received were generic cheap leather gloves with minimal lining that could never be used on a snowmobile. I also pointed out that I had paid more for the helmet on MotoBuys because the ad included the "free" gloves as a package. Lastly, I was disappointed that no one addressed the issue of my expense for mailing the helmet back due to a mistake by MotoBuys.
The company's final response was that I had ordered a HJC helmet and was promptly given a return authorization number to exchange it for the correct size. They reiterated that the ad for the helmet clearly stated that the gloves were free leather riding gloves and that the customer paid nothing for them. They questioned why I was complaining about not liking the free gloves that I paid nothing for. They compared it to someone filing a BBB complaint at Cracker Jack because they didn't like the free toy in the box.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with MotoBuys. While I appreciate that they exchanged the helmet for the correct size, I was frustrated with the lack of communication and the generic gloves I received instead of the snowmobile riding gloves I had ordered. I also felt that my expense for mailing the helmet back was not addressed adequately.
Terrible Experience with Motobuys: Damaged and Non-Working UTV Received with Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased a 2022 Cheetah 200X from Motobuys for my children, who had been saving up for four years to buy it. Unfortunately, we received a damaged and non-working 2021 model. The box it came in was in terrible condition, as you can see from the photos I took. I immediately contacted Motobuys to request a replacement, as I was concerned that the UTV would be damaged due to the severe damage to the box. Carlos, the manager at Motobuys, told me that I had to assemble the UTV first to determine the extent of the damage, after which they would help us. Carlos assured us that Motobuys would fix or replace the unit at no charge.
Upon assembling the UTV, I noticed damage to the body, scratches, and rust. The metal from the shipping container had physically bent and caused damage to the vehicle frame. The UTV had been hit with extreme force on every side before we received it. There were dents in the frame, and even damage to the underside of the vehicle. The driver side floorboard had been completely dented and damaged, which must have taken a lot of force to do so. The rubber foot pads were also unusable as they had been sheared off.
After running for about 15 minutes, the UTV died and would not start back up. I had to take several hours off work to troubleshoot the issue with Ken, the mechanic at Motobuys, who was only available during my regular work hours. We spent several hours over three days on the phone trying to troubleshoot the problem. We were able to get it to start, but it still dies when we go over minor bumps and at speeds less than 10 miles an hour. This has resulted in the UTV sitting unused in my garage, and my children have lost their excitement to ride it.
I contacted Motobuys customer service department again to have it exchanged for an undamaged vehicle, as Carlos had assured me. Ken blamed the shipping company for the damage, saying that "the shipping companies are horrible" and that "all the shipments are arriving damaged". I asked for a partial refund, but Ken admitted that they wouldn't put a vehicle in that damaged of a condition on their showroom floor in the first place.
I spoke to Carlos, the Motobuys manager, and asked to exchange it for an undamaged UTV. However, he told me that I would be charged for 2-way shipping and a 15% restocking fee to get another "unassembled" UTV. He even suggested that I could bang the dents in the frame out with a hammer, which was not a satisfactory solution.
This has been a terrible experience for me and my family. We should have looked deeper into the reviews on the Better Business Bureau, Trustpilot, and SiteJabber before making our purchase. We will be adding our own review to those websites as well.
Disappointing Experience with MotoBuys: Website Navigation, Product Quality, and Customer Service Issues
I recently had an experience with MotoBuys and I have to say, it was not the best. I had heard good things about them, but unfortunately my experience did not live up to my expectations.
First of all, I had some trouble with the website. It was a bit confusing to navigate and I had trouble finding the product I was looking for. When I finally did find it, I placed my order and waited for it to arrive.
When it did arrive, I was disappointed to find that it was not what I had expected. The product was not as described on the website and it did not work properly. I tried to contact customer service to see if I could return it, but I had trouble getting through to them. When I finally did get through, the representative I spoke to was not very helpful and seemed annoyed with my questions.
Overall, I was not impressed with my experience with MotoBuys. The website was difficult to use, the product was not as described, and customer service was not very helpful. I would not recommend this company to others and I will not be using them again in the future.

Disappointing Experience with MotoBuys Bike: Poor Service and Low Performance
I recently purchased a bike from MotoBuys to use as my daily commuter. Unfortunately, I encountered some issues from the very first day. The service team took quite a while to get back to me, and I had to wait for a part to be shipped from China. This was quite frustrating as my warranty was ticking away while I waited. To make matters worse, all warranty work had to be done by me, which was a challenge as I am not very mechanically inclined. However, I do enjoy working on bikes, so I decided to take on the challenge.
After installing the part, the bike started running, but I quickly realized that it only pulls up to 2nd gear. It will go into 3rd gear, but it immediately begins to lose speed. If I skip to 4th gear, it slows down very fast. This $1700 scooter only goes about 25 mph, which is quite disappointing. When I asked MotoBuys what I could do to get it to go faster, they told me that it tops out at about 35 mph with a smaller person on it. This was not mentioned in the ads, and some of the ads even claimed that their 49cc scooters could go up to 40 mph. I had a previous scooter with a 49cc engine that I could get up to 43 mph on level ground, so 25 mph is definitely not what I was expecting.
Overall, I would advise anyone to stay far away from this bike. It's not worth the money, and the service team is not very helpful. Save your money and invest in a better quality bike from a more reliable company.
MotoBuys Customer Service Fails to Deliver Christmas Present on Time
I ordered a T-125 go-kart from MotoBuys on December 10th as a Christmas present for my son. I asked the online customer service rep if it would arrive before Christmas and they said it would if I ordered that day or the next day at the latest. The website said that shipments typically go out within 24-48 hours and shipping time is typically 5-7 business days. I got a confirmation email with the order information and information on requesting tracking info. I waited a week before emailing the sales department for tracking information, but I didn't get a response. I waited a few more days and emailed again, but still no response. I've called multiple times over the last few days with no answer and left voicemail. It's now Christmas Eve and it looks like my son won't be getting his Christmas present. I'm skeptical if we'll get the go-kart at all. The customer service is worthless! I can't speak on the product since I haven't received it yet, but I'm crossing my fingers it's not a complete POS.
Disappointing Experience with MotoBuys: Unprofessional Customer Service and Delayed Shipping
I was really excited to order from MotoBuys (motobuys.com) and was told that if I ordered by end of day Friday 12/9, it would be shipped Monday or Tuesday and I'd have it by Xmas. However, it's now Wednesday 12/14 and my order still hasn't shipped. I reached out to customer service and was told it should ship tomorrow Thursday the 12/15 but if not Friday. I was disappointed and frustrated, but I remained patient.
When I spoke to Carlos, I expressed my concerns and told him that if it doesn't ship tomorrow, I may have to cancel my order. However, he responded in an unprofessional manner and hung up on me. I was shocked and upset that a customer service representative would treat a customer this way, especially when I had spent $2800.
Later, MotoBuys called me back and asked how I was doing and if I still wanted to ship the go kart. I was still upset and told them that their customer service rep was unprofessional and that they shouldn't hang up on their customers, especially when they spent a lot of money. However, they defended Carlos and said that he did nothing wrong. I disagreed and told them that if they didn't think they did anything wrong, they probably won't be in business very long. Unfortunately, they then said they would cancel my order and hung up on me again.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience with MotoBuys. Their unprofessionalism and lack of customer service ruined Xmas for my kids. I hope they can improve their customer service and treat their customers with more respect in the future.

Nightmare Experience with MotoBuys: Broken Go Kart and Unhelpful Customer Service
I recently purchased a Trailmaster XRX Mid go kart from MotoBuys for my kids a few months ago. Unfortunately, my experience with this store has been nothing short of a nightmare. When the go kart arrived, the box was completely smashed up and filled with rocks, broken glass, and two screwdrivers. To make matters worse, there was significant paint damage to the left rear corner of the go kart, as it had been dropped and dragged during shipping.
When I contacted MotoBuys about the damage, they were completely unhelpful. They sent me a can of red paint and told me to fix it myself. As if that wasn't bad enough, when I finally managed to assemble the go kart and start it up, it ran choked out for a few minutes before stalling completely. When I called MotoBuys to report the issue, they sent me a YouTube video on how to work on a carburetor. Are you kidding me?
Despite my best efforts, the go kart still doesn't run for more than five minutes without stalling. To make matters worse, the electric start no longer works, and the go kart has not been driven more than a mile. I am now on the hunt for a service company that can work on my brand new go kart because I don't want someone to send me a YouTube video on how to fix their brand new piece of junk.
Overall, my experience with MotoBuys has been a complete disaster. They shipped me a busted up, broken go kart that doesn't work, and then left me to deal with the mess on my own. I would never recommend this store to anyone, and I urge anyone considering a purchase from MotoBuys to beware.
MotoBuys Review: Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Issues
I gotta say, I had high hopes for MotoBuys. I mean, their website looked legit and they had some pretty sweet deals on golf carts. So, I went ahead and placed my order, paid up, and waited for my new ride to arrive. But boy, was I in for a surprise.
First off, I couldn't get a hold of anyone to find out when my golf cart would be delivered. I tried calling their sales line, but all I got was a bunch of voicemails. And when I finally did get through to someone, they told me it would take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Well, it's been 5 weeks and still no golf cart.
I've left countless voicemails and emails, but it's like they don't even care. They keep telling me that my golf cart is just waiting to be shipped, but apparently, they can't find a carrier that will deliver to Utah. And get this, they won't refund my order because of shipping issues. Like, what kind of customer service is that?
They suggested I have it shipped LTL, but they won't guarantee it won't get damaged and I have to go pick it up myself from a terminal 45 miles away. Are you kidding me? I paid $10,000 for this thing and they can't even deliver it to my doorstep?
It's like they know they have shipping issues, but they keep taking orders from out of state. I feel like I'm on the back burner and they don't care about me as a customer. If they can't deliver their product, they should stop taking orders until they get caught up. It's just bad business.
So, if you're thinking about buying from MotoBuys, I'd think twice. Their customer service is terrible and they can't even deliver their products. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
MotoBuys Review: Quick Payment Processing, But Headache-Inducing Delivery and Assembly Process
The process of giving our money to MotoBuys was quick and easy, and our payment was processed quickly. However, everything after that was a headache. We initially purchased a different go-kart, but MotoBuys informed us that they were having issues with it. They offered us the option to purchase the 200 Trailblazer instead, which we agreed to. Long story short, we had a difficult time tracking our order. After two weeks, we finally figured out where our Trail Master Blazer was, but we had the wrong tracking number (which was not our fault). We paid for rush delivery, but three weeks passed and we had problems with MotoBuys contacting the delivery company to give the OKAY to deliver (which wasn't our responsibility). We played phone tag for a whole week! MotoBuys goes through a third-party company called BBPowersports, which also caused a lot of confusion.
Weeks later, we finally received the 80% assembled Blazer. We imagined that it wouldn't be so bad to assemble, but we didn't get any directions for assembly and had to look for all missing parts for weeks! We called MotoBuys, which sent us a link to directions for a different Trail Master Blazer, so we had to figure it out on our own. We recommend paying the extra for an already assembled go-kart so that you know you're getting all your parts and not trying to scavenge through the internet for assembly directions. We're still assembling because of the missing parts!
These go-karts are Chinese-made, so it's extremely hard to find someone to touch them because of liability issues, and it's hard to find parts if anything gets broken. Overall, we had a difficult time with MotoBuys, but we eventually received our go-kart. We recommend doing your research and being prepared for potential issues if you decide to purchase from them.
Motobuys Review: Unreliable Company That Does Not Stand Behind Their Products
Motobuys is a company that sells products that they do not stand behind. They often use the "terms & conditions" as an excuse to ship products that are faulty. It seems that according to their "terms & conditions," you are required to accept items that do not work. This is not fair to the customer who is paying for a product that should work properly.
I had a bad experience with Motobuys when I purchased a scooter from them. The scooter was delivered in a dangerous condition - leaking gasoline. This is not something that should be happening with a brand new product. Additionally, the ignition switch was faulty, which destroyed the battery. When I reached out to customer service for assistance, they were not timely in their response. This delayed my ability to ride the scooter within the warranty period. I had to wait for a new ignition switch to be delivered from the factory, which I assume is in China.
Now, all warranty issues are being denied because "it's past warranty." This is not fair to the customer who has been dealing with these issues since the beginning. If you can't ride a scooter because it is inoperable, you will not find the other warranty defects. This is a major problem for customers who are relying on their products to work properly.
When I asked to return the item, the company's response was, "it doesn't work that way." This is not a helpful response to a customer who is having issues with their product. We no longer live in a world of "buyer beware," except at Motobuys. This is not a fair way to do business, and it is not something that customers should have to deal with.
I took a chance on Motobuys because I thought the price was right. However, I quickly realized that the company is very unscrupulous. Don't throw your money away like I did. Their "F" rating on the Better Business Bureau is justified. If you are looking for a reliable company to purchase from, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Mixed Experience with MotoBuys: Poor Customer Service and Shipping Issues
So, I gotta say, I had a pretty mixed experience with MotoBuys. At first, the sales guy was super helpful when we called up about a dirt bike. We got a confirmation that it was shipping and even had an option to track it, but let me tell you, that tracking was a total joke. The freight company never called and the ETA was way off. Finally, we received the bike in a box that was totally damaged and ripped open. The interior parts box was also ripped open, which was a bummer. We called up customer service to report the damage and get some help, and they told us to send an email with pictures and an explanation of the damage. All we really wanted was a new box of parts to make sure we had everything we needed for our son's Christmas present. We're not even gonna open it until after Christmas so he can help his dad put it together.
But, after a whole week of no response from customer service, we had to call them up to follow up. And let me tell you, the General Manager, Chris, was a TOTAL jerk. He was not interested in sending us another parts box and instead wanted us to try to put it together first and then see what was missing. I mean, come on, we just want to make sure we have everything we need for our son's present. We even offered to send back anything we didn't use, but we're worried about not having what we need. My husband finally chimed in and said we either want a box of parts or we can return it, and Chris started yelling about not taking threats. I mean, we weren't even making threats, we were just telling him what options we saw. Chris talked over me, was super condescending, and instead of sending out a $50 (?) parts box, he just said they'd pick up the bike tomorrow. Unreal! I've never had such a horrible "customer service" experience in my life.
So, all in all, I'd say save yourself a headache and buy from somewhere else. The initial sales guy was nice, but the whole experience with customer service and the General Manager was just a total mess.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MotoBuys: A Review
So, I was trying to figure out how fast I could get my hands on some mini jeeps from MotoBuys. Their website didn't really give me much information about shipping, so I decided to give their customer service a call. The guy who answered the phone started with a simple "Hello", but he was pretty abrupt and kept talking over me. I was just trying to figure out how long it would take to get my order and what exactly I would be getting for the extra $69 for expedited handling. But instead of answering my questions, he just told me to go ahead and empty my cart. I was pretty frustrated at this point, especially since Christmas is coming up and I was hoping to get these mini jeeps as a gift.
I decided to check out their website again, but the only information I could find about shipping was that I would get a tracking number once my order had shipped. I mean, that's helpful, but I still didn't know how long it would take to get my order or what exactly I was paying for with the expedited handling.
The guy on the phone was pretty argumentative and impossible to deal with. I even asked him if he was worried about getting bad reviews, but he just laughed and told me to empty my cart again. I hung up on him, but he kept calling me back from a restricted number to harass me.
Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with MotoBuys. There are plenty of other companies out there selling mini jeeps, so I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. The guy on the phone seemed more like someone working out of his garage than a professional working for a large company. It's pretty concerning that they would allow someone like that to represent their company.
MotoBuys: A Company That Disregards and Disrespects Its Customers
I bought a Jeep Go-Kart from MotoBuys in December 2016. Unfortunately, the jeep arrived damaged and we haven't been able to use it since January. We've tried calling and messaging them through Facebook messenger, but they haven't been responsive. In fact, when I tried messaging them again today (30 MARCH 2017), I found out that they've disabled the messenger option on their Facebook page. To make matters worse, they keep deleting the messages I leave on their page. It's frustrating to spend $2000 on something and not be able to use it. As two army combat veterans with 33 years of combined service, my husband and I have sacrificed a lot for this country. We were excited to enjoy our little Army Jeep go-kart during our retirement, but MotoBuys has made that impossible. They claim to be proud Americans, but they're not treating us with any respect. It's not that hard to sell quality products and honor your word. MotoBuys has really intensified my PTSD symptoms with their disregard and disrespect. Every time I try to work with them to resolve the issues with the go-kart, my anxiety level increases exponentially. If you're thinking of buying from MotoBuys, I would advise against it. They're not a company that honors their commitments. If you're in a similar situation, please contact me at ***@msceejay. If there's enough of us, maybe we can start a class action lawsuit. I would give MotoBuys a zero rating if I could.
failure to provide mso/mco for street legal motorcycle
Bought a Bashan BSR Dual Sport motorcycle on 11/26/2018. Delivered 12/3/2018. That same day I called "Bob" and requested MCO/MSO and Bill of Sale needed for title and registration. Called "Bob" again on 12/17/2018 for the paperwork. Very rude on the phone claiming I never requested anything, then hung up on me. As of 12/26/2018 never received any paperwork. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!
customer service
I ordered a rim and tire from this place and Spoke with a guy named Sam Hale.. He sold me the rim and was very rude and short on the phone.. I asked for a return label and when I recieved it, it said just a dick before my name!? He also hung up on me.. Ive never experienced anything like this in my life from a business! The supervisor didnt seem to care at all when I informed him and told me that I need to treat the salesman better and it was me that was the problem.. No apologies or any compassion! Never buy from this company! NEVER AGAIN!
bob is a worthless piece of [censor]
This company should be out if business soon. No way a company can conduct business the way Bob treats people. Like the other people said. Once Bob gets your money you are screwed, doesn't return phone calls or emails. And more than likely Bob will send what ever color he feels like it. They guy has several law suits against him found on public records. Buyers beware! Took my money and ran
service
Do not buy from MotoBuys. This company is a fraud and the salesman Bob is rude and arrogant. He will not let you speak, will talk over you. Once this company has your money forget getting any kind of service after that. He would not call us back or email us. We asked for a cancellation confirmation. He hung up on us and cursed us, he told us that he did not need our [censored]ing money. This company should not be in business.
Purchased scooter, never received mso bill of sale
its been 4 months and 15 calls later, (literally), with continued lies and horrible customer service, and I still have no MSO or bill of sale to license my scooter. The supposed manager just yells at you and then hangs up the phone on you. I wouldn't suggest that anyone purchase from this company or website. Just google them, there are many many many complaints for the exact same thing. Someone should take their business license.
I also made the mistake of ordering from a picture online, I ordered a black and creme bike and received a grey and white one., when i told them, they had me send pictures and said, "wow, thats crazy" and acted like they didnt have grey and white ones.
Awwwww, quit your lyin' "Billy Bozeman". Or, is it really BillyBob Johnson? Too many people have been screwed by you in the same way or worse. You expect anyone to believe your silly excuses? I never received my MSO or Bill of Sale from motobutts either.
This customer is not being truthful. I am from Motobuys. He got his MSO and filled it out incorrectly. A new has one been ordered from the factory for him. He will get it soon. The MSO's are produced by the factory, not Motobuys.
Very disappointed with MotoBuys.
I have ordered a scooter as a present from www.motobuys.com website and it did not arrived when it was supposed to.
I contacted customer service and they said they had some difficulties with the delivery and said it'll take few extra weeks, I decided to give them a change. Two weeks later I contacted MotoBuys again and asked about my order and they said they need more time. I cancelled my order and soon received my money back. I didn't want to wait any longer and I actually didn't have any time because it was only one week till my son's birthday. Very disappointed with MotoBuys.
Sales and customer service
One of the worst companies ever. Do not deal with company. We ordered a go kart and paid extra for assembled model. Company failed to ship that one. It was their mistake and they thought it was ridiculous that we wanted to return it. And who is the customer?
We returned it for a refund, but then they wouldn't give us the full refund because they sent a free helmet with the go kart. We asked them if we could return the helmet and they didn't respond to email. We returned it and then they are not giving us the money back. When we called, they were rude, disrespectful and hung up on us. Finally, they blocked our number which is so childish. We are working on making a complaint to BuySAFE and other websites and hopefully others will see and be warned.
This company consists of a bunch of crooks who are clueless about customer service. I urge everyone to stay clear of the company. Go somewhere else! Save yourself headaches and hassles and mistreatment. Nothing but rude and nasty people working in this company.
I am from Motobuys. This customer ordered a simple kids mini go cart. Very simple to assemble. The factory forgot to put on the roll cage and the lug nuts on the tires, when shipped. We refunded the customer the $99 assembly fee the day they received it. But this customer was demanding we give them more. This is a 1 hour job for any average person. The customer wasnasty, rude and arrogant to our staff. So we told her simply leave it in the crate and we sent out a truck, picked it up, returned it and issued her a full refund. This customer is out nothing. The story about the helmet is a lie! The customer was sent a helmet and they signed for it. It was a $129 MX dot approved off-road helmet. The customer never returned the helmet when the cart was returned and never mentioned it until they got there full refund on the go cart. We deducted the $60 from the refund that they did not return. Only then did they say anything about the helmet. We told them very sorry but we could not take back a worn helmet for sanitary reasons. We require all returns get a return number before we can accept it. Despite personally talking to her about this, they ignored what we told her and mailed the helmet back to a PO box site where only mail is accepted. Again we cant accept used helmets. We offered to dispose of it for her or send it back, whichever she prefers. In this this case there is two sides to this story.
We deeply value our relationships with all our customers and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service simply because our customers deserve the very best. If you have any further questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to discuss it with us at sales@motobuys.com
Yours in service,

Very disappointed with MotoBuys
Ordered a helmet from www.motobuys.com website and it was supposed to be a birthday present for my son. Helmet did not arrive even though I ordered it long in advance.
They cancelled my order and later I received a refund.
I tried to contact these guys because I wanted to know why did they cancel my order and why they did not contact me, but they ignored me and did not reply. When I called their phone number they did not pick up. Very disappointed with MotoBuys.
Customer Service (or lack of) - Electric Go Kart
11/24/2015 - My husband purchased an electronic Go Kart for our children (from Santa). Received the confirmation email from MotoBuys.com 12/13/2015 (week of) - After no word from MotoBuys, he called to find out where the Go Kart was. He was told the Go Kart was at the warehouse and they would contact us with a shipping number when it shipped (within 48 hrs). 12/24/2015 - I called, as we still had not received any communication from MotoBuys or anyone else on the Go Kart, and it was Christmas Eve, the night of Santa's delivery. The gentleman I spoke to sounded astonished the Go Kart had not been received yet. I was told the Go Kart was sent to the warehouse on 11/30/2015. 12/29/2015 - We finally received the Go Kart and rejected the shipment, as the Go Kart was SEVERELY damaged. On the R&L Carriers bill of lading, it was shipped from California on 12/18/2015. I don't know if it got put on a snails back to be delivered, but it doesn't take 10 days to make it from California to Tennessee. 12/30/2015 - I called again and spoke with Joe. He seemed unconcerned that it took over 30 days to receive the Electric Go Kart. His "story" changed multiple times while I was on the phone with him. From stating he wasn't sure if the Go Kart had been on back order or not, to then stating it had been on back order and they weren't received until 12/18 which is why it shipped on that day from the manufacturer (not a warehouse). He only changed what he said after I read from the bill of lading (shipping receipt). I've never had a worst experience with an online retailer, ever! After looking further at the company, I found out their BBB rating has declined and I'm not the only person who's had a bad experience...
This customer review is missing many facts. The customer was clearly informed that the item was on backorder at time of purchase. Customer was given the option to wait for the item or receive a refund on the order date. Customer chose to wait for the item. Customer was clearly informed that the item would NOT arrive before 12/25! No story changed, the item was simply out of stock. When the item was available it was shipped. We ship with Grade A trucklines. However according to the customer the item arrived damaged in shipping. Customer refused the item and they have been granted a full refund as they requested. All of the other claims of no communication is 100% false. At this point, there is nothing more we can do for her as we done and responded to every request. We are disappointed that our efforts did not meet her expectations. As we sell thousands of units per year we try hard to provide stellar customer service to all. Motobuys is confident that our longstanding commitment to satisfy our customers will stand on it's own merits
Sells Awful Products and Does Not Inspect or Back Tem
I purchased a 150cc Go Kart from MotoBuys and it came shipped with absolutely no instructions for assembly. This is to help them support the awful warranty they offer on these. They do not inspect them before shipping, so know you will have issues with anything you buy from them.
The go kart came with a blown fuse, non-functioning lights, and the carburetor was incorrectly assembled at the factory. I was forced to send the go kart to a mechanic, who is the one that documented that the carburetor was incorrectly assembled. I have contacted MotoBuys numerous times, and have been hung up on while being transferred to a manager. They now ignore my calls, as they have caller ID (without ever being rude to them). They merely send me warranty documentation stating that they pay no Labor whatsoever (even when they ship a defective item)!
After getting the go kart back from the mechanic, on the very first attempt to ride it, the gear shift linkage broke off from the engine block. THIS GO KART HAS YET TO BE DRIVEN! They won't take a return of a lemon, and just state that I can get parts. Needless to say, they won't be sending a new engine!
This company is impossible to deal with and disconnecting customers when they call to talk to technical help or managers about returns...is just not professional. They hide behind their internet sales. BEWARE AND DON'T PURCHASE FROM THEM! You may get a working vehicle, but the people who don't, will be screwed. I am stuck with a $1, 700 item that I can't drive. I have spent $200 to try to even get it working, and may have to pay $400 more for an engine! NOT IF I CAN WIN MY DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD!
