Mr. Cooper pmi removal request

I have been trying to get my PMI removal request to NationStar since November of 2013.
They sent me forms by email which were difficult to open and instructions via email messaging which I followed. I mailed the forms according to the address contained on them. In December I called and they customer rep told me they were never received. I was given a different fax number than what was on the PMI request form and was told to send it there. I to both the old number on the form and the new one given to me. I emailed a week later and response was the same. No one received it. I was given yet a 3rd fax number. I sent a message to have them please let me know when the request was received. I got a message back that they were sending me the forms(the same ones I just sent them) by the fax they have on file.
I use my work fax and I keep getting the run around. We're not even to the point of getting an appraisal because a I get a strait answer as to who is or is not getting my removal requests. Now my loan number and information is floating out there somewhere in fax limbo to God only knows who.
We just bought our house in June and have already paid off 24% of our mortgage.
It frustrates me that homeowners like myself who intend to pay off their mortgage loan, can't get a break on the PMI. When I asked for a contact number for the PMI dept. I was messaged back that phone contact would not be possible, only messaging via email. What's that about? Are they not allowed phones in the PMI dept where human contact might be able to solve communication issues? Or would they just prefer not to deal with the multiple customer complaints in person.

My mortgage servicer was BOA, they were constantly changing my monthly premium illegally as it is a fixed rate mortgage, they too were raising my escrow, charging extra escrow, etc... I just got it down and finally thought the payment was "normal" and they sold my mortgage to Nation Star the first note came two days before due date of April 17, and premium was hiked up over 100 more than actul monthy premium! This is stressful, bullying, I am so sick of this - what can we do as people who merely work pay our bills, practice kindness day in and day out and then get these horrid jacked up bills, threatening, demanding money in a criminal manner? Please can't we have this stopped? I have children I am raising and with this happening over and over I am finding it more and more difficult to even give them hope... What hope is there when this is happening and NO one is stopping it? These companies are driving people homeless, into illness, etc... This is taking a toll on me after 5 years I just about can't take it anymore.

Want to pay a payment over the phone 15.00 charge on web site make it before due date ok but on the second of the month 9.95 it charges for everything just made my first payment with them this month hard to get contact with them I would advise anyone that can get a new mortgage with someone else but not bank of American they are the one that sold our loan to them I leaving them myself real quick please they are really bad company

--This company has a bunch of dummy working they try to lie and say you dont have stuff that you already sent just to make the package expire! This is a common thing it has happened 3 times then every time they add different things that we need to send ! Now we are afraid that they hired people at $10 a hr and we give them our social security number our bank accounts and taxes ! Scared to see who opens up new credit cards for me !

Why cant the government help the same thing is happening to so many people the government isnt even stepping in this is a Game and it need to stop noW! Not only if you borrow $200, 000 you owe nation star $600, 000 this company isnt looking for the long turm even though 90 percent of the payment is intrest! A SmaRT BANKER WOULD AJUST ALL THE LOANS TO KEEP MONEY COMING IN AND HAVE AMERICAN PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONE NOT IDIA OR GHETTO CUSTOMER SERVICE ! HOW CAN 1 REP DEAL WITH 50 DIFFERENT FILES AND REMEMBER ANYTHING IT IS A GAME AND THE GOVERMENT IS ALLOWING THEM TO STEAL FROM AMERICANS !

Mr. Cooper Not honoring bank of america loan mod

My previous servicer, Bank of America, was finalizing a permanent loan modification for me when all of the sudden it was sold to Nation star Mortgage. I have been getting the run around since early December from Nation star saying they will honor the mod and to just keep making my payments. I call them everyday and they just keep saying the same thing. Meanwhile, they have not even deducted all the payments I have been making them. When I ask for the balance it is always the same with another month's payment added to it. I don't know what to do at this point. Every time I call them, a different representative is on the other end of the phone conversation even though I was told by letter I would have a certain point of contact person. I have left this person numerous voice messages and have never received a call back from him. HELP!

So to give my insight on the issue, it looks like when you were with BOA they did not finish your modification and when you got transferred over to NSM they cannot honor a mod that has been offered by your previous servicer. You can apply for a loan mod but like the previous comments state above it does take time. Now personally from my experience with NSM they are more than willing to offer a MOD. That is actually one of their methods to keep people in their homes because when they foreclose on a home they lose money too. Sometimes up to $17, 000 depending on the amount of UPB unpaid principle balance. Because they are only servicers. They have to pay their investor when they can't provide the money that your supposed to be paying them for servicing your loan. Hope everything goes well for you.

Hello "Help with Permanent Loan Modification",

I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks that are "too big to fail" but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just ### but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated. After reading your complaint levied against Nationstar Mortgage, I have some basic information that will put you on the path to holding Nationstar and Bank of America accountable for their actions. Regarding your complaint, both Nationstar Mortgage and Bank of America have violated your rights afforded to you (at a minimum) by the Dodd-Frank Act enforced by the CFPB with regard to mortgage servicing. On January 10, 2014, the CFPB implemented stronger protections for struggling borrowers via the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (and ultimately RESPA) to include no surprises by the lender or servicer, greater transparency, no runarounds, and employing fair business practices. With that said, there are a few uncertain items that MUST BE addressed before you can proceed with holding them accountable as follows:

~ Did the modification that was entered into with Bank of America get recorded? This is important because if it did that it takes precedence over the prior note or mortgage terms and Nationstar MUST abide by those terms or they are in breach of contract just as they hold you to it when issuing a NOD

~ Where did the payments that you made to Bank of America get applied and have you made any payments that were accepted by Nationstar Mortgage? Neither Bank of America nor Nationstar can hold your payments in a suspense account unless it is clearly states on your trial modification or permanent modification paperwork (you will need to determine if you have a trial modification or a permanent modification and the terms will be key here that are stated on the paperwork as well as who signed the paperwork).

~ What exactly are you paying on at this point (your original mortgage or your trial modification)? If you nor Nationstar can come to an agreement about what you are paying then I would caution you to continue to pay on an agreement that Nationstar is not honoring because the monies might be funneled into a suspense account without being applied, which is in direct violation of the Dodd-Frank Act as well as other laws and statutes that are in place to protect you.

Again, you have rights and both Bank of America and Nationstar Mortgage are clearly violating those rights and they need to be held accountable for their actions as well as refund you any monies that were collected and not applied to your mortgage. You have to become your own detective to unearth the true story and motives behind the actions of servicers like Nationstar and lenders like Bank of America. Nationstar is currently in the midst of buying a lot of distressed debt. Since they are deemed a collection agency, their primary focus is to collect money...not modify mortgage loans. Do you have what it takes to battle your way through the loan modification process?

After reviewing a recent article from fellow financial blogger - http://networkedblogs.com/Uphet, I felt the need to dive deeper into real issues that need to be discussed. Don’t get me wrong, I totally respect Mandelman and think his articles are great. However, this on does not address the most important question ~ Do you have what it takes to battle through the loan modification process? For 99% of the general public, the answer is NO. Mortgage servicers and banks do not want to complete loan modifications ~ regardless of what the banks, mortgage servicers, government, consumer help lines or your Uncle Bob has to say about the issue. You see, mortgage loans are simply very large debts that contains collateral as security (the home). These debts were not originated based the concept that they would default and need to be modified. Essentially, when you fall behind on any debt payments….aggressive collection activity kicks in. There is no exception to mortgage debt on this matter. You are battling the bill collector on any loan modification case. You are asking the lender to restructure hundreds of thousands of dollars and forgo repossession of collateral. There is very little incentive for the mortgage servicer to do this. Moreover, even less incentive if the debt servicing rights have been sold at a steep discount. Negotiating with any bill collector can be a very daunting task...and when that task involves big money and the roof over your head, it can be a serious nightmare. You have to ask yourself many questions before taking on the task of a loan modification challenge. Do you have the time to handle it? Hours of phone calls & paperwork are typically the last thing you want to do when you get home from work….especially you have a family. Do you have the wherewithal to argue with the bill collectors? The lenders will shift the case from collector to collector…making it a very emotionally draining process. Do you have the knowledge to review and answer legal demands sent to you? Once your case hits the legal stage the notices that are sent by the opposing counsel can be very complex? Do you have the case strategy to implement if you are denied? It will happen….you need to be able to counter attack quickly. Unless you have serious experience working high end loss mitigation cases, handling this solo is a huge mistake. You need to choose someone with a track record of success and can refer you to at least 5 satisfied clients. I can refer you to hundreds of satisfied clients. I have 25 years’ experience counseling clients with serious credit / foreclosure issues. I have worked on both sides of the fence ~ 13 years in legal collections and 12 years in loss mitigation. Mr. Cooper Payment plan agreement issues

In December of 2013 I started a payment agreement with Nation star mortgage because of some financial strain that month. I presume to ask the customer service representative many questions none revolved around credit or credit rating. This is something that I should have Asked. I Decided to move forward with this arrangement rolling Decembers payment into the following 3 months. January I made my first payment for this Agreement. February came around and I received a credit Alert. Nation star Mortgage reported that I missed the December payment and late in January. Upon checking my credit this lowered my score More than 50 points.which is now affecting some of my other account using credit. In February I called nation star to confirm whether or not this was an error. I was under a payment agreement. Nation star finally stated at that time, the agreement was only for the late fee which is bull. For clarification I made this agreement with nation star prior to being late in December. So far they have done nothing, and the customer service representative said they're going to do nothing and that I can report it to the credit rating Company and they would denied the claim. At this point I don't know what else to do with the exception of accepting it, and I don't want to any advice? Thanks Matt

I have also been a victim of Nationstar Mortgage, but I have taken this issue a step further. I have researched how to file a formal complaint against this company. If you are serious about taking legal action against this company for violation of your legal rights, then please follow these simple instructions. The more people that file a formal complaint, the more these federal agencies will take notice to correct this problem.

The first agency to contact is the "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau" at either [protected] or by going on line to www.consumerfinance.gov.. You can either log a formal complaint by phone, internet, or they will mail you a complaint form to be filled out and then returned.

The second agency to contact is your Congressional representative for your area. Provide them with the necessary information so they are aware as this may ultimately go before a congressional hearing.

On a final note, if anyone out there knows how to contact these other individuals whom have filed complaints against Nationstar on this site and other sites, then please forward this information to them.

We cannot thank you enough S.Y. Sanger for not only levying your complaint against Nationstar Mortgage in an effort to hold them accountable for their actions, but also for doing it in a public forum to help others accompanied by a solid avenue (CFPB) for mortgage relief for homeowners and borrowers…great job! You have turned your lemons into lemonade and have most likely picked up some valuable consumer rights education in the process that will serve you well for the remainder of your life. You MUST know your consumer rights to assert them and achieve desired results!

While I am sorry for the abuse that you ALL have suffered at the hands of Nationstar Mortgage, it is not surprising as we have the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Nationstar on an hourly basis it seems for our clients that have experienced the same or similar current or delinquent mortgage servicing abuses to include CFPB violations for payments not being promptly and properly credited, restricted dual-tracking, fair review process, no runarounds, notification of foreclosure alternatives, refusal to provide payoffs and most importantly; unfair, deceptive and abusive acts and practices (UDAAP).

I routinely look for posts to answer in hope that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks that are "too big to fail" but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need. The debt collectors like SPS, SLS, Green Tree, Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just piranhas but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated. You CAN win this fight!

Thank you for this contribution. I'll get on it. We paid a lump sum and applied it to our principal with the intent of automatically eliminating the PMI by getting the loan to value ratio below the 77% threshold our former Bank of America loan called for. Then we contacted Nationstar Mortgage to get confirmation it was done. Instead, they told us that they would require we get the loan to value ratio down below the 73% threshold, pay for another appraisal, and then they'd see if they could eliminate our PMI. Essentially, they changed the terms of the original loan (which we all know they can't do). After e-mailing and repeated calls with seemingly disinterested and unknowledgable customer service representatives, we're ready to take action.

My loan was sold to Nationstar. I tried for months to get a loan mod, I was denied, they claim that it did not qualify with Fannie Mae, because I'm self employed. Nationstar is the ### of the earth. Thanks for info so, I can file complaints, I have quite a list!

I have already filed complaint on consumerfinance.gov against Nationstar.
They are incorrectly reporting the balloon payment as my past due and adversely affecting my credit.

Mr. Cooper Distortion/misapplied funds

These yo yo bought my loan back in June of 2013 from bank of America, since than they have messed up my credit score with held money, mis applied fund to my loan accounts, I pay my bills the last 25 years the same way, we had a problem with flood ins, and they took it apond them selfs to apply two polictys to my escrow and once I had my FEMA paperwork turned in to them they still want to keep charging me, I have paid them thousands or dollars and spent hundreds of hours on the phone to straighten this out, and they just keep charging with no summary or balance, I need a person to talk or a web site to keep pursuing this, they are wrecking my credit

Mr. Cooper Refi

I have several accounts with NS and was refinancing with Chase. I made a payment to the other account, not the one I was refi-ing, but they applied that payment to the one I WAS refi-ing, so when Chase asked for the payoff, NS had taken that payment and had applied it to the wrong account, thus showing I had paid more, but that wasn't the case, so When NS had taken the incorrect payment and applied correctly, they had given Chase the wrong payoff, leaving it short by the amount of the payment., So when I tried explaining to them how they had applied it incorrectly causing my account to be short, I paid it, but they wont provide me the difference for their error. I also had a customer service agent act as though he was the manager, by placing me on hold, coming back to phone and changing his voice. Nationstar are CROOKS! I know its intentional based on the many complaints.

Mr. Cooper Lousy customer service and ability to answer questions

Trying to modify my home loan, since June 2013, they repeatedly ask for the same documents over and over and still have not submitted my documents for underwriting. I have had 10, yes 10 of what they call a "dedicated loan specialist" but when I call to speak with that person I get sent to a general call center and no help. I have sent so much of my personal information to them, that I am concerned as to with who or where all my personal information is with.

I submitted all documents to Nationstar for a loan modification/ I was assigned a Dedicated Loan Specialist who I could not ever reach by phone, I was told that they could not transfer calls/No one was able to give me information regarding the status of my loan application. Ever so often I would receive 2 and sometimes 3 loan modification packers. I would fill them out and submit them to Nationstar. I would be assigned another Dedicated Loan Specialist, again I was not able to talk with. My property was auctioned off on March 18, 2014. I contacted Consumer Affairs to inquire if it is legal to foreclose while in the modification process. Nationstar responded stating they would research the file and contact me within 7 -10 days. I called Nationstar talked to four agents. Each agent told me there was nothing they could do and that I had not submitted all documents. I disputed this. I asked why had I not been notified that they had misplaced my loan documents or denied the loan modification? I requested a copy of the denial letter, I was emailed a Notice of the trustee auction. I contacted Nationstar via Consumer affairs. Nationstar emailed me a denial letter dated June 7. 2014. I never received the June 7th denial letter..

Hello AZChef1 and all others frustrated with NationStar Mortgage,

I absolutely feel your pain after dealing with NationStar on a professional level (my staff was professional at least) for the past thirteen (13) months. Everything you are stating is absolutely valid coupled with the fact that NationStar does not do their job unless you call them to tell them to do it (they actually told me that) and escalate every call to an escalation supervisor; but even that doesn't do the trick sometimes. I have had to put a lot of muscle into complaints and escalations for all of my many clients at NationStar just to get documents processed and loan modifications/forbearances/recapitalizations/settlements granted. I have had much success in battling NationStar but it is a fight that requires much time and knowledge...it IS a game after all so the one with the best strategy wins and WE have the best strategy!

Please call me to discuss your frustrations and your desired results. We call NationStar at NO CHARGE TO YOU simply to uncover the current status of your loan along with the options that exist to you as a borrower and to determine if we can help you achieve those desired results. I have been extremely successful in challenging NationStar with regards to laws and regulations since they are unwilling to cooperate unless they are reported and/or challenged. We also list all of the regulatory agencies and major Investors on our website so please feel free to obtain that information on our site as well to further the cause. Once the loan is sold to NationStar, they must comply with the FDCPA laws as well as RESPA laws because they are considered debt collectors now with tighter regulations that they constantly violate.

Mr. Cooper Unethical business dealings

Our loan was sold to Nationstar... They Immediately started forecloser proceedings against us because we were behind on payments. After trying to work with them (to no avail) we contacted the North Carolina Forecloser Prevention Fund Group through The Greensboro Housing Coalition. We went to court with them and stopped the proceedings until they could review our case. During this time, Nationstar was to stop all payment demands and any other fees while the NCFPFG decided if we qualified for reinstatement assistance. The amount we owed Nationstar was a little over $7000 at that time. We did in fact qualify and Nationstar was to receive the amount owed so we could resume payments in February. Right after the first of January, we received notification from Nationstar that they did receive our $7000 but that we still owed $5000 in back payments and additional fees. We were told that they were to cease all Fees and Payments until the matter was resolved and in fact our first payment would not be due until February as per our agreement at the court date. Now we do not have the $5000 and we are right back where we started with these folks. I have checked and we are not alone. Nationstar is the worst Lender I have ever dealt with and we are scared that we are going to lose our home due to their unethical behavior. PLEASE HELP! Thanks, Craig and Lisa Pannell Greensboro, NC

Mr. Cooper debt collector or mortgage co?

Nation star aquired our loan from bank of america in 2010 (So they say) but in may of 2013 bank of america gave me a chance to reinstate my mortgage with a $11, 362.00 reinstatement check that they had to have mailed to them by june 28th 2013 which they waited six weeks to cash. Thats when we became aware of nation star and the loan being sold to nation star in 2010 no welcome letter no new adderess to send our payments to, no balance, no payoff ammount. No correspondence by phone or mail what so ever. I have tried to call them numerous times since last may just to get my call transfered for an hour and a half about four times or disconnected in the process. I have hired a real estate attourney when I found out that my home had been sold at an auction on may 24, 2013 by nation star from a realtor that came to my home and offered my wife $5, 000 to move out. I went off the chain and went to bank of america and all of a sudden the sale was off. So who is nationstar mortgage co llc? A debt collector? The first and (Only) correspondence I have recieved from them as well as the attourney I retained was on december 23, 2013 asking for a copy of my homeowners insurance and thats it. With bank of america the insurance was in with the payment. So since this mess has come to light I went and bought my own home coverage. As lucky as ive been rolling the house could have burned down, ya think? Dont I have a right to know if my mortgage has been sold? Shouldnt I be aware of who is taking my money and how its applied toward my loan? The reason I got behind in the payments is because I was in a car wreck and almost lost my leg. I want to pay theese crooks off. They have forced me to use a hard money lender and put an apartment complex ive had in so. California since 1978 for collateral because ive paid all my credit cards off and was a ghost to the credit reporting agencies. So much for my retirement plan! Im hoping that sombody will read this and tell me that bank of america shouldnt have cashed the reinstatement check and they owe me a free house not being my loan servicer, that would make too much sence after this fiasco... Happy new year

Mr. Cooper loan modification

I bought my home by Bank of America 2011. Situation happen that led me to hardship. My pay was less than usually since the Post office was under going reform and overtime pay was cut out. But now with step increases and overtime my pay is up again. I had to take in my daughter and her two children. My son came too. Now my daughter got accepted to CNA class and will be working . My son was also making move for work, he got his security certificate. I make catch payment to Bank of America but my loan was sold to Nationstar Mortgage. They immediately took me to foreclosure; I tried to get modification and was given a complete run around. My lawyer tired to get them to give me a modification and they did the same to them no cooperation at all and poor customer services. Hours on the phone just to hear no. I tried making payment arrangements and nothing came out of that. That bank had one person to another with no solution and my worker on the loan change often. I was given the complete run-a-around at the bank. Paper was claim as never received or no enough. Never was given anything in writing. A letter of default on 12/9 and an intention to sell on 12/5 but on 12 /17 the house was sold back to the bank. Making home affordable claim that my house would not go into foreclose and they would stop it. But they said when they gave Bank the paperwork it was decline of any type of modification. Bank told them it was too late I lost my home. I work with the postal services for 15 years. Making home affordable claim they tried to get the home back because of the deviances in the way they went about to obtain the home was not right and I was not given enough time. Also told that there is nothing I can do. They took my home and I have nothing. There should be a lawyer in the area that can help me. I only got 20 days to react. I am still given the run-a -round of getting answers. And been told once the house is closed in foreclosure there is nothing to be done. Now at Christmas time when it too hard to reach the right person soon: My family will be homeless. I am waiting to see who many days I have left to move. My daughter program starts January 17. My grandson is two and three. So three adults and two children will be homeless and everywhere I called it is the holiday season and I can't get the help I needed.

I might be too late symiller2666 but I am hoping that I am not!

Nationstar is a poorly run company that needs babysitting to wipe their rears and is anything short of compliant and diligent. With that said, I have done at least a dozen loan modifications with Nationstar in the past few months so I know that success can be had for borrowers! Your struggles are all to common and trust me when I tell you that I have battled Nationstar as well as Ocwen,
SPS, SLS, IndyMac, Chase Bank of America, and many many more but have gotten through the ignorance veil by utilizing muscle from regulatory agencies as the gentleman commented above coupled with fierce negotiation tactics and copious communication logs full of time stamps. There ARE times when a professional is needed and I can show you that I am a trusted professional running an ethical organization of individuals that truly care about our clients and we also have a vested interest in beating the banks at their own chess game! File a complaint against the servicer and Bank of America at consumer
finance protection bureau. It is the only way, short of a lawsuit, that
you can get them to move. They are, under law, supposed to reply to your
complaint in a minimum period of time as to a resolution. I don't like
having to go to the government for anything. Especially when I consider
them the reason for this problem with mortgages; but this works because
there are legal statues the servicer can't avoid. I have done it and it
has worked. Also let the servicer know that every time you have a
problem with them you will do this. You'll get better treatment because
they now know you have some help.

Mr. Cooper mis applied escrow payment

I sent in a check for $1083.00 to Nationstar for my escrow payment only. They recieved it Dec. 4, 2013. Before sending in the payment I called for instrction and followed it to a tee. I was to write on the check "For Escrow Only" which I did as well as the payment coupon that I sent in. They did not apply the check to the escrow account (which was negative due to changing insurance companies) They instead applied it to my regular mortgage payment and the remaining balance to the principle. On Dec. 13, 2013 they recieved my regular mortgage payment in the correct amount (I pay this online through my bank account) and they applied it to January's mortgage payment. In the meantime my escrow account is negative $670 or so. I called them once, they said they would correct it. Days later they had not so I called a seconds time. I looked online and there had been alot of activity on my transaction history, however the problem was not corrected. They had reversed the $1083.00 payment (good) but then I noticed they re-applied it in the same manner as before(bad) I called a third time today 12/18/13. The young lady looked into it and stated, the payment processing manager refused the request twice. She was told my mortgage payment was late for December so they used my escrow payment. Now, in the contract my payment is due on the first of every month, however I have a grace period until the 16th of every month before it is late and I have to pay a fee. I have never gone passed the 16th. If the payment processing manager refuses my request a third time then I don't know what to do. I specifically stated on my check to apply it to the escrow and they they refused to do so. I have a copy of the check. Why are they being so stubborn on this?

We've been going thru the same thing with our Escrow, too . . . no resolution in site thus far after 2-1/2 months? Now getting certified letters saying we owe this extra money and are heading towards foreclosure, we suppose? We have TWO properties adjoining, which are on the same insurance policy. EVERY YEAR this past 6 yrs now, they continue trying to "double charge" our escrows with the yearly insurance premium, which raises our monthly house payment about $238.oo on the house we use for storage! This year has been different tho . . . they have told us back in April 2014 that they would get this resolved and issue us a check for the overage so we can endorse it, return it back to them, then they will put the funds into this house's escrow. Yeah, right! It hasn't happened yet, and every time we call to talk to someone, it's a different person each time . . . even tho they say they have our noted conversations right there in front of them. Then WHY is this so hard to get handled and cleared up? We've even messaging them thru their website (like they suggest?) . . . so far we haven't gotten any real satisfaction on clearing this mess up . . . not even a postal letter, if that is the only way to communicate. (We've had to cancel our land-line phone and go to using our cell phone, which is really bad reception since we live in the country. And they have our cell phone number.) We're at a loss as to what else we can do. They did message us back last week and told us that we ARE NOT being foreclosed on . . . now mind you, last week we had two different people show up ~ one to check the property to see what needs to be "cleaned up on the outside", and the second one said she was here to "clean up the inside of the house." Both told us that they are only called out when there is a foreclose on a property . . . hmmm. We are NOT very pleased with Nationstar thus far! And yes, we are trying to sell these properties! Hopefully before they steal them out from under us!

Mr. Cooper customer service

My 1st and 2nd mortgage loans were both transferred to NationStar from B of A. Both are the worst companies to work with on loans. The turnover rate of people having their hands in my loans has been over 100% since my loan was transferred to their company. I have received 6 letters stating that my direct contact regarding my loan is__________. I received one letter stating my total balanced owed back in September and recently received another letter stating a totally different amount owed, but it was less than the first letter sent out. The problem is, no on can answer any of my questions and I get absolutely no where when dealing with the three different people I talk to when I call in. If you ask for a copy of the recorded conversation "For quality assurance purposes", they can't get me one. I am thinking very strongly about taking them and Bank of New York to court of my second loan. I have been fighting it for the last 3 years through B of A, Bank of New York and Nationstar.
It is unbelievable how no one can tell me what's going on with it. FRUSTRATING!

Mr. Cooper payoff not recorded

I had a mortgage with Nationstar Mortgage for a house. In October 2013 I sold this house, and the title company sent a money wire to the payoff account for Nation Star at Wells Fargo Bank. In mid-November 2013 I received a phone call from a Nationstar representative who stated my November 1 payment was late. I informed her I sold the house and the payoff had been sent. After several more calls, I contacted the title company to ask for verification of the payoff and a copy of the money wire document that I could send to Nation Star. Both were provided; I faxed the money wire information to Nation Star at a fax number provided to me by another Nation Star rep on November 22, 2013. Despite providing this information and asking that any further communication be in writing, I continue to receive calls from Nation Star daily as late as 11:00pm. None of the reps know anything about the previous discussions or that information has been sent. They just continue to ask about payments that are late.

Mr. Cooper very very poor customer service!!

Horrible customer service! I needed to talk to someone about my mortgage but they kept passing me from one person to another. Every week I would call them and I get transferred to some random department and getting different point of contacts. They would then tell you that someone will call you in 3-5 business days. Balony! That does not happen. Even those who answer the calls... Can we say those who are merely manning the customer service desk picking up the phones are soooooo rude! They eat or chew while they're talking to you on the phone. They breath hard, sigh... Not even trying to mask their attitudes. Some even make you feel like you're bothering them. Hello! I'm paying your wages! One cannot find the right person to speak to nor get solutions to problems. Of all the companies bank of america can transfer people's lien to, why nationstar? Don't they care about their customers at all and just wanna wash their hands off them? Its bad enough that the economy is underwater; people's mortgage accounts are being handled by companies who also don't care.

Mortgage sold to Nationstar. Have Nationwide Biweekly payments made direct to Nationstar. No only am I never late on a payment, but am actually ahead due to the biweekly payments made to come off the ending interest. Kept getting automated phone calls from Nationstar, stating in regards to a debt, to call their number. Phoned an exhausting amount of times over a 1 month period. Talked to about 25 different people after getting transferred an immense amount of times during each call. Approximate time per call was over 1 hour and they can not even agree as to what I owe money for! Some say late 2 months on payments. Some say, late 1 month and all say in addition; I owe 89.00? Finally got Nationwide on 3 way call with them. They told that bank that there was a 1 month late payment and another month due now. That bank informed them that they were no late payments and that they had cashed the checks. Then told me on the 3 way call to phone the Michigan Nationstar to make my 89.00 payment (oh by the way, it was an escrow amount short). Called that number and it is the same phone #! Got the run around again and again. Can't pay online as it won't accept anything less (for the 89.00) that what it says you currently owe, which is yet another amount just shy of 900.00 that they say I owe. Was told this last time; they could take my 89.00 payment over the phone. FINALLY; I thought I could pay them. Never tried so hard to pay a bill in my life! Tried to pay them and the guy tried to charge me 20.00 late pay. Oh, by the way; I never got a bill (ever). They had a wrong address for me. Told 2 different people to change the address and PLEASE send a bill. Never got one. Called this evening again; they said they can not talk to me. By the way; I was put on hold for over 1/2 on 2 separate occassions and then hung up on. THIS IS EXHAUSTING. In the meantime; they will probably wreck my awesome credit! I am now actually afraid to send them a check in the mail. Don't know where to even send it; to Texas? to Michigan? Wish I had a bill. I am extremely ill, with cancer and 2 autoimmune diseases right now. Told them this and they still don't care. Sure wish I knew where to send the payment! WORST COMPANY EVER, EVER, EVER...

Mr. Cooper modification loan - missing doc runaround

NationStar has been giving us a runaround since June 2013 as we are well qualified for the HAMP and HAMP programs offered to people like me and my family who are $50k upside down on loan, and recently hit by adjustable rate of 6.2% which is a result of a bad modification loan we got back in 2009 from NationStar (2% for 3 years/ARM, 40 year loan on $469, 000 ). At this point, they have all our papework, and know good and well we are able to pay our mortgage at 2% because we have done so for past 3 years never missing a beat.. After the interest rate adjustment to 6.2% our mortgage went up over $1, 000 / month which we are now in default of by about 4 months, we simply can't afford to pay $3100 / month. So far, we've received nothing in certified mail stating they are demanding payment, or planning on foreclosing on us, which i'm not sure is "Good" or "Bad" at this point. Loan Reps are impossible to contact via phone as they are on serious overload it seems and they dont return calls on Monday or Tuesday, only on Wednesdays if you are lucky. Even if you get a Rep to talk to you, they simply follow a script of some sort which has you filling out the same packet paperwork you already filled out likely several times over. I'm scared of losing my home (purchased in1999) as i have two kids to support and zero family to assist. I tried to get legal help, but so far i have only found fraudulent type attorneys willing to work as mediator between us and Nationstar for a fee upfront of usually $5K or so, with no guarantee of success. I appreciate reading other comments from Nationstar customers, and would like to join Class Action against them.

I go to court July 29 2014. I filed chapter 13 bankruptcy to save my home. Nationstar played their normal game that they play with everyone else that has tried to get a loan modification through them. MISSING DOCUMENTS..DIDN'T RECEIVE THIS OR THAT... they worked with me for 4 months leading me to believe they wanted to help. Boy, I sure felt like a big dummy. There is a short period that they are required by law to help with saving your home. But then right after that time frame, they can foreclose. Wow, that's not hard to figure out. I have 80K equity in my home. They faked me out. I filed chapter 13. I change to a chapter 7 because I was able to pay the arrears. During the conversion an emergency came up and I was unable to get caught up. So now I filed to the loan mod again and its the same thing. For 4 months I thought they were going to help. The day before the auction date they informed me they didn't have enough time. I NEED SOMEONES HELP BEFORE THEY GET MY HOME. They lied about the payments not being made and that is the reason for them taking me to court to ask the court for relief from stay. I have a payment history record from Nationstar that shows 5 payments that have been made recently. email if you have any advice.

As a background, I fell behind on my mortgage last year and in January worked out a payment plan with Nationstar wherein a portion of my monthly payment was put into an unapplied funds account until it equaled a full month payment which was then applied to my account. In that regard, I priority mailed a certified check to Nationstar Mortgage on 9/21/2013...

Mr. Cooper missing money from escrow account

Our mortgage has been sold to Nationstar Mortgage by our previous mortgage company. We have sold our house soon after that by a relocation company on 10/17/2013. We were told at the closing our escrow account left about $6000 and should be sent to us within 30 days. We registered online and liked to check our account information. We could not login to our account. Through big hassle by phone to connect to their customer support, we were told our account has been closed, there is no history available to us to trace closing activity on our account and our account only left $60.68 and sent to us until next January!

Mr. Cooper insurance funds kept

As it is required and the procedure, I have sent the insurance check I received to Nation Star Mortgage, my mortgage company, in order for them to return the check to me for the damages in my home. The check that I sent to the mortgage company was under my name, the adjuster’s name, and the mortgage company. The check was sent to the mortgage company on September 13. After the check was sent, we have called the mortgage company multiple times inquiring about the status of them returning the endorsed check or a drafted check for the amount of $7, 500. The mortgage company informed us that a check was drafted and sent on September 27 in which they stated that they give the postal service 14 days for the check to arrive at our address. After several discussions with the mortgage company’s representative, Melisa Ellison, and the check not arriving at our address, on October 18 the mortgage company recommended that a stop payment be made and a second check be sent, I made that request but I also requested that the check be sent FEDEX overnight. The mortgage company’s representative, Marsha Sterns, said that I needed to pay for that service in which I did. The mortgage company then said that the process of stop payment and drafting another check will take three to five working days. On Tuesday October 22 at 12:00PM I sent a copy of the paid FEDEX air bill and confirmed with a representative that the check will be sent FEDEX. On Wednesday October 23 I called the mortgage company’s representative, Kimberly Blanton, to confirm that the check was sent FEDEX and they told me that it was not sent FEDEX but it was sent regular mail. Due to the multiple times that the mortgage company has requested unreasonable requirements, the unlikelihood that the original check sent was loss in the mail, the contradictory and misleading information that I have received, the unwillingness for the mortgage company to return my funds, I'm deducting that the mortgage is holding without authorization my funds. The fats point to a behavior that it is not in good faith and constitute fraud and theft. I have communicated to the mortgage company that I'm contacting the State Attorney for Florida, Texas, and Ohio to file a complaint of fraud and theft. I'm basing this claim on the multiple times that I have been misled by the mortgage company on the status of the check and that they have not acted in good faith.
