MSI, LLC is not very good
MSI, LLC is not very good. They have a lot of people coming and going all the time. It's like they can't keep anyone around. And let me tell you, they are not very organized. It's a mess over there. They talk a big game, but they don't deliver. It's all talk and no action. They promise a lot, but they don't follow through. It's like they're all talk and no walk. And let's not even get started on their communication skills. It's like they're speaking a different language. They don't make any sense half the time. It's like they're speaking in code or something. And don't even get me started on their customer service. It's non-existent. They don't care about their customers at all. It's like they don't even know what customer service means. Overall, I would not recommend MSI, LLC. They are a hot mess.
Yep, another one that just doesn't give a crap about your properties
Yep, another one that just doesn't give a crap about your properties. Say no more. I hate to be so blunt.
MSI, LLC is a company that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. They don't seem to care about your properties at all. It's really frustrating when you're dealing with a company that doesn't take your concerns seriously.
I had a terrible experience with them. They were unresponsive and didn't address my issues in a timely manner. It's like they didn't even care about my property or my needs as a customer.
Their website, msihoa.com, is also not very user-friendly. It's hard to navigate and find the information you need. It's just another example of how they don't prioritize their customers' satisfaction.
Overall, I would advise against using MSI, LLC for any property management needs. There are plenty of other companies out there that actually care about their customers and provide better service. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
I reached out to MSI, and let me tell you, they were dirty, deceitful, and unethical right from the get-go
I reached out to MSI, and let me tell you, they were dirty, deceitful, and unethical right from the get-go. They started playing games right away and wouldn't even bother answering any of my questions. The whole operation is run by a bunch of bitter, corrupt, and nasty individuals who just want to line their own pockets with our hard-earned cash. It was an absolutely terrible experience dealing with them. This organization is nothing but dirty, corrupt, and unethical. Our neighborhood is going straight down the drain because of them. I strongly advise you to stay away from them at all costs.
They dont care about you or your property period
They dont care about you or your property period. Lack of response to emails and limited problem solving when you have an issue. I get the sense that they only feel responsible to the concerns of the *** board, yet the board is responsible to the entire community, and as such they should be providing customer service to every *** fee paying homeowner that contacts them. My experience with them has been very unpleasant and I hope to never have to deal with them in the future.
I had a problem with this company that takes care of our ***
I had a problem with this company that takes care of our ***. They sent me a letter and a sheet that said I owed more than a thousand dollars in late fees and stuff. When I got it, I called right away and they told me to talk to a law firm. But the law firm didn't want to talk to me because the association doesn't follow the laws. Just so you know, I already paid the *** fees with a check on 3/15/22, and I didn't hear anything from them again until 8/16/2022, which I answered quickly. But I can't get any solution and they keep adding fees.
I've been paying my HOA on autopay for more than 4 years
I've been paying my HOA on autopay for more than 4 years. Something happened to my credit card, and after three months, I got sent to collections for not paying. No email or phone call, nothing. They say they can't do that because they're not a collection company, which is totally false. I work for a company just like this, and any company that collects a bill can notify you in different ways about an unpaid due. Now my credit is damaged, and I'm dealing with a law firm all because of $200. I can't pay directly to resolve the issue; I have to actually mail a check, which will probably cause me another late fee. The staff was rude when I expressed my concerns and asked why there wasn't any other form of notification besides one piece of mail that my tenants didn't realize was important.
They ignore residents' needs, like emails and messages, and just brush them off with a reply saying, "I'll be out of the office until ___
They ignore residents' needs, like emails and messages, and just brush them off with a reply saying, "I'll be out of the office until ___." They won't fix maintenance issues, such as outdoor lighting, which is a problem for the elderly in our complex. It's not safe here, and there's been a rise in auto theft and property damage. We've told them about this many times, but they just don't care. They're neglectful and don't provide the services we pay for every month. They change staff too often, and we've had to deal with different people in power within just a few years. This management company is unstable, and they don't show any commitment to the communities they're supposed to serve. Don't expect any communication from them; they'll just redirect you to a useless website. The HOA fees go up every year, but they hire low-quality vendors for our community. The snow shovelers they hired are even involved in some of the crime here. They use their work as an opportunity to scout the area and come back when everyone's asleep. There have been attempted break-ins, car thefts, and property damage, but the management company doesn't care. We keep asking for their help, but they do nothing.
I've been trying to deal with MSI for the past month about the outdated covid rules for our pool
I've been trying to deal with MSI for the past month about the outdated covid rules for our pool. When the pool opened, MSI said we couldn't use our pool furniture unless it was disinfected after every use and that we had to bring our own furniture. I asked MSI to give me specific policies, procedures, protocols, or laws that require this. I even gave them a house bill that said associations like MSI are immune from prosecution. I told them I called Jefferson Co of Public Health and they said MSI is outdated. MSI's only response was that they would contact our board. I waited 9 days... no answer. I emailed the same request last Thursday (July 15) and got the same answer. I also asked over a month ago why we can't have in-person board meetings instead of on zoom since there are no restrictions on gatherings. Again... no answer. I asked why the on/off knobs on our spigots for one of our buildings haven't been replaced in over a year. No answer. I wonder if anyone at MSI will read these comments and actually do something or if they even care. They'll probably just say "it takes time," but someone who cares could easily handle these matters. The pool is only open for 3 months, and making us wait more than one or two months to bring our own furniture to the pool is ridiculous.

MSI and their employee *** are discriminating and harassing us
MSI and their employee *** are discriminating and harassing us. They're making us do things for our fence project that they didn't ask our neighbor to do. It's not fair.

My HOA property manager has been neglectful in fixing the outside sidewalk lighting - both pole lights and lights attached to the building for 10 months and is unresponsive when I ask for an estimate on when the lighting issue will be resolved. This is a safety issue.
I just got a new fence from MSI, LLC after a wind storm messed up the old one
I just got a new fence from MSI, LLC after a wind storm messed up the old one. They put the new fence right where the old one was. But now my neighbor is saying that the fence is going into his yard, and the HOA is agreeing with him. I've asked them over and over to show me proof, but they're completely ignoring me. Instead, they keep sending me scary letters asking for thousands of dollars to fix it. I looked at my Ariel pictures and charts, and the fence is exactly where it's supposed to be. Can the HOA really just make up stuff about people they don't like and fine them or put a lien on their property without proving anything?

On 4/29, I contacted MSI LLC to ask about the extra money I sent for my HOA account
On 4/29, I contacted MSI LLC to ask about the extra money I sent for my HOA account. My HOA needs the whole year's dues to be paid in one go. I've been living in this community for 7 years and I always pay the full amount before the due date. But this time, I accidentally sent two payments. They told me: "Once we get the money, we'll start the refund process after 30 days. We wait for 30 days from when we receive the payment before we start giving refunds." I followed up with MSI LLC on 6/8 and they said: "The supervisors have received the paperwork. I don't see that they've issued a check yet. But it should be happening soon." It's now 6/16 and it's been more than a week, but I haven't heard anything from MSI LLC about my refund and I still haven't received a check.
The property management company is supposed to help our HOA make sure that contracts are honored, and that our neighborhood gets the upkeep,
The property management company is supposed to help our HOA make sure that contracts are honored, and that our neighborhood gets the upkeep, maintenance, and care that we pay for. We recently had our homes painted, and we were told that all of us would get the same paint colors. But that didn't happen. Instead, they painted our trim "cream" - a color that makes the properties look dirty and doesn't match the white windows and doors. As a homeowner, I immediately told the management company about this, expecting them to fix it. But the painting continued. A property management company shouldn't willingly decrease the value of my home. I want my trim and my neighbor's trim to be repainted back to the original white color, and I think the management company should pay for it.
MSI, LLC is a company that manages homeowners associations (HOAs)
MSI, LLC is a company that manages homeowners associations (HOAs). I have had some negative experiences with them and wanted to share my thoughts. They sometimes engage in unfair business practices and billing methods that are not very pleasant. They have a tendency to send me a lot of mail and even take pictures of my house, which feels like harassment. It's really hard to get in touch with the HOA manager, which can be frustrating.
The deadlines they set for certain tasks, like maintenance or payments, seem random and very strict. It's not just me who feels this way, as many other residents have also complained about being treated unfairly. In fact, this managing company has played a big role in my family's decision to move out of the neighborhood.
Recently, they have been fixated on a tree in my front yard that has a lot of leaves. They claim it's dead and want me to spend over $1000 to fix the situation. Today, I received a notice stating that I have to comply within 3 days or face continuous fines of $50. This is really frustrating, especially considering the current state of the US economy. Many people are facing financial difficulties due to unemployment, and it's not appropriate for MSI, LLC to focus on a dead tree when people are struggling.
Overall, my experience with MSI, LLC has been quite disappointing. Their unfair practices, difficulty in communication, and lack of understanding about the current economic situation make it hard for me to recommend them as a managing company.
My complaint is about my HOA
My complaint is about my HOA. I sent them a check in April, dated the 9th, and they cashed it for $787, which included late fees. I have given them a written response stating that my ex is not on the deed or mortgage, but they keep putting her name on it and the mail gets forwarded. So, the facts are that they cashed my check, supposedly didn't receive it until May, and cashed it on May 21st. They sent me a letter on May 25th stating that I was going to collections. On June 3rd, I received a letter from lawyers in Denver, stating that there was a lien on my house and a balance of $415, including a $215 lawyer fee. The lawyer informed me that MSI charged me a $70 processing fee and a $100 lawyer transfer fee, along with some more late fees. The lawyer immediately marked it as disputed and told me to call MSI back. Today is June 8th, and I have called Jacquelin, the lady in charge of my HOA, three times and never received a call back or response. I have left voicemails and still no calls back. I am sure they held my check for a month as well. I want this dropped and the lien taken off my house as soon as possible.
Residents at this property have sent many emails to the only email address provided to contact the management company
Residents at this property have sent many emails to the only email address provided to contact the management company. We have serious lighting problems outside, and we were told it would be fixed, but it hasn't happened yet. Theft in our area is increasing, and the lack of lighting attracts more thieves. Some residents have tried to contact MSI about our closed swimming pool, but there has been no response. We pay a lot of money to this management company (and they raised the fees twice!), but they don't address our concerns or communicate with us. We pay a lot of money to be ignored. They claim to manage properties, but they neglect them. Why did they even start a management company? Please don't respond to this complaint by saying you will fix the problem, because we are still waiting for a response from the last complaint.
I moved into a rental property in Parker on June 1
I moved into a rental property in Parker on June 1. On June 22, I got a bunch of lawn complaints from MSI HOA and the Community Manager *** with some pictures. The rental property I moved into needed a lot of yard work, so I've been trying my best to water, weed, and make it look better since I moved in. But here's the thing, the pictures that *** provided were taken on June 22, and they showed my car in the driveway. But my car was actually at the mechanic on that day. So, it's pretty obvious that the HOA and *** lied about the date on the pictures.
Now, here's the annoying part. I keep getting these annoying letters and emails from MSI HOA and *** every few weeks, while my neighbors don't get any. We've actually become friends with some of our neighbors, and their homes have way more weed or dead/dry lawn problems than mine. It's pretty clear that my home is being targeted by MSI HOA and *** for some reason, while other homeowners get a pass.
On top of all this, we're in the middle of a global pandemic, and I work in healthcare. Seriously, with everything going on in the world, having a dry spot on my lawn or a weed under a tree shouldn't be causing me constant stress. It's just not fair.
MSI assumed control of Canyon Creek around a year or two ago amid resident disputes over a fee hike.
MSI assumed control of Canyon Creek around a year or two ago amid resident disputes over a fee hike from $75 to $100. I built my home here and received 2 waste containers. For 22 years, I've used them without extra charge. Suddenly, I got a $15 invoice for an additional container. Contacting MSI, I was advised to speak with Waste Connection. They claimed a billing error was corrected after 22 years. MSI's response was to consider myself lucky for the oversight but promised to investigate. A week later, an email confirmed the charge as correct, directing me back to Waste Connection. My fee includes waste removal, so shouldn't they advocate for me? Instead, after 22 years of timely payments, I'm blindsided by a new invoice due without prior notice, feeling compelled to pay while MSI and Waste Connection seem indifferent.
I'm disabled
I'm disabled. When I bought my condo in *** of Colorado Springs, the HOA said they would remove snow. Recently, MSI sent a notice saying they'll only remove snow if it's more than 4 inches and homeowners should shovel themselves. I can't shovel snow. Most units in my section are empty. I emailed Mr. Randy F to let him know I can't shovel. After the last storm, MSI shoveled all walkways except for 2 feet of snow at the bottom of my stairs, trapping me inside. I sent Mr. F a photo and asked if it was on purpose. He replied, "I think we both know the answer," and referred to the email about shoveling only with more than 4 inches of snow. I assume he meant yes, it was on purpose. I can't contact the board members of ***. I don't have MSI's contact info except through Mr. F. I've had an ongoing issue with MSI leaving ice on the sidewalk and walkway near the parking lot. In the past, the instacart delivery person salted the sidewalk for me. I complained to the former MSI manager multiple times. I need to leave my condo for appointments, mail, and trash. I'm worried a delivery person will slip and fall on the ice. I need the walks shoveled when it snows and kept ice-free. I'll happily pay a company to clear snow and ice if I can deduct it from my HOA fee since snow removal was promised when I bought my condo.
In late March, our neighbors burnt down a part of the fence facing the public space
In late March, our neighbors burnt down a part of the fence facing the public space. In late June, I contacted our rep from MSI to find out the status of getting it repaired. She said she would get back to me after getting police reports, etc. I didn't hear back, so calls and emails were made after two weeks. When we finally spoke on the phone in July, she asked for the same information all over again, showing that she did nothing with the original request. Again, she said she would get back to me. We went through three rounds of trying to get information. Each time, I had to start the follow-up. I have learned from the *** of *** that they have had issues of responsiveness and have had to take over projects since there was no follow-through from MSI, like completing playground projects, getting bids on fences, repairing fences. After contacting the fence contractor directly, it was learned that there had been information on the ability to fix the fence, but MSI had not been in touch for three weeks. After contacting the *** asking for a specific date to complete the job, he replied: [W]e are chatting with your board as necessary in response to any issues they present to us. Sending the same email repeatedly with the same exact demands in the same few days is not at all productive. xxx(Property Manager) will provide an update to your board and back to you once she has one, but we wont otherwise be expending valuable bandwidth communicating in circles. This is a misrepresentation of the communication between the *** and my communication with MSI. We pay the highest HOA fees in ***, *** and work is simply not getting done. I just want the fence fixed and have a date when we can expect it fixed without run-around or blaming others. Again, we are paying for this service and are not getting it.
