In 2017 I received a Avios Travel rewards card. Hardly used it apart from one flight ticket before Avios shut down as a company and my card was cancelled with at most R400 still left to pay. I tried for several months to settle the R400 but no luck. Come June 2018 over a year later and ABSA phone to say they have taken over Avios and I now Own them R65 000 ! I disputed it and 3 months later this was removed of my credit records after receiving no feedback from ABSA to provide Proof of this debt. 2 Years later the most unethical , skelm and dishonest bunch called MBD joined the party , now claiming R68 000 and listing me on all credit buraus , I asked them for proof that I ever acknowledged , paid or agreed to pay this false debt. No response , just daily calls and threats. As soon as I get them of my credit profile , re-list under a new account number. I am sure they are in bed with the credit buraus because they have to prove nothing to list me and it takes me 3 months to get them off. Now the debt have prescribed again for a second time and sure as hell they still have me listed. Every time I send them communication there is just no response or action. I was told more than once , they don't care if this money is owned fairly , they harass untill I settle. How can they continue to just re-list prescribed debt over and over? All companies that use or sell to them should be boycotted , Absa , DSTV ... the lot of them.
