The owner is a raging individual. I called about a repair to my oven door and he cut me off saying "You again!?" (my name must appear on his phone) followed by, "We don't service your kind! No exceptions!" I responded with 'I'm actually not that person, but thank you for notifying me that this is a discriminatory organization'. To which he responded with a screaming tirade about how he didn't care what kind of person I was, he wasn't going to deal with any of them! I had to hang up on him. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this business. From all the 1 star reviews I cannot understand how he is still in business.

LOL! Called Murphy Appliance Service this am about our leaking fridge and well, they must have left reception duties with their rage-filled, dementia-afflicted uncle from the Old Country. Before I got 30 seconds in, he was yelling aggressively at me to go look in the freezer compartment for the model number. I told him I had it in my hand but that enraged him further and when I asked him why he was so mad at me, more crazy vitriol and abuse ensued. At this point I started to laugh and told him he was SO RUDE, & I was calling someone else. As I hung up, I could still hear him spitting his impotent rage into the phone. FIN ?
Unfortunately 0 stars is not an option. I was left astounded by my interaction with this company. I needed a built-in oven door latch replaced and he started out very rude and abrasive. He asked if I tried to fix it and I said no but I removed the door because it is reversible and if there was a delay getting the part the oven would be fully operable as the door latch on the other side had never been used. He escalated to yelling at me about how we need to follow the law of the land and the government and they would refuse to touch it because I removed the door. He then hung up on me. The Owner\x92s manual provides instruction on reversing the door as it is a feature of the oven, so I am not sure why this was such a big deal on an appliance that is no longer under warranty. *** customer service I have ever experienced, and we didn\x92t even get past an inquiry call.
Unbelievably rude person. I called about my fridge malfunctioning and he cut me off and began to lecture me that "you people" don't want to clean under your fridge or change the filter, which I actually do regularly, instead of answering the question about whether or not the issue sounded like something that could be fixed. And then when he was done ranting, he hung up on me. I was in shock because I had hardly spoken... he just yelled at me the whole time. Absolutely brutal service. I had someone else come and he was able to fix it and the problem had nothing to do with cleaning or a filter.

If I could give this business a -5Star rating I would. We have a small dual zone Jennair wine fridge that we were looking for service for. When my partner called Murphy Appliance and informed them we lived in a specific location, this is the response he got, 'You live in that specific location. You make too much money and do not pay enough taxes. You can lay on the floor and die and we will not come help you. You can call, and call, and call, and we will not help you.' I am still in shock at this offensive and completely unprovoked diatribe. This company should not be in business. DO NOT CALL THIS BUSINESS. I cannot believe this business is still operating.
Called about my freezer. Very rude man answered the phone. I sent a photo of the freezer as requested. He called me back and started asking about ***(?) then he swore at me and hung up. I can understand why this business is not ComplaintsBoard.com accredited.
My family and I called regarding our dishwasher and the man on the phone was very rude. He started yelling at us for being difficult; called us offensive slurs, blamed us for covid, refused to service us and then hung up. Please do not call this place for your appliance repair needs. There are many other qualified companies in the area that you can reach out to.
Called to book maintenance on an appliance. The man who answered, who I believe to be the owner, yelled at me for being a customer and went on an unpleasant rant. My husband called a few hours later and he received the same unpleasant rant before the call was abruptly ended.
Phoned to discuss service for my washer and was called a white *** bch my the man who took my call. He is clearly unstable and rude I'd be afraid to let someone like that into my home!

Do not use this company. My Samsung fridge would not keep cold and food was spoiling, When I called them up in July they told me they could service Samsung. They came, charged a service fee, did something to the settings, told us not to touch the control panel buttons, told us they would order new parts and would call when the parts came in. Never heard from them again. Within weeks we were having the same problem. We found someone else who showed us the faulty part, pulled the part, showed us where he was ordering the replacement part from, showed us the part number and cost, installed it, and the fridge has been running fine ever since.
No Stars. I courteously contacted the company regarding a Moffat range, and the representative dismissed it as outdated without requesting the model number or a photograph. I concurred, suggesting it might indeed be an older model, which prompted the representative to launch into a rant about my lack of recognition for the Moffat brand. His tone escalated as he continued to berate me, despite my attempts to clarify my local heritage in response to his assumptions. My intention was simply to inquire about the price and availability, but he seemed incapable of addressing my query. In an attempt to defend myself against his baseless accusations of foreign origin, I noted his East Indian accent, which only intensified his outburst. The conversation ended with him directing an appalling insult towards my grandmother, prompting me to terminate the call. It was shocking to encounter such hostility from a service provider, especially when approached in a calm and respectful manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this business. This is a definitive conclusion.

The technician requested I text him the make and model, explaining that error codes vary annually. I complied and later texted to confirm my appointment and inquire about an estimated cost, as his website lacked pricing details. The only response I received was a terse 'yes'. The website allowed me to select only a one-hour window for the appointment. After waiting for two hours past the scheduled time with no one showing up, I called him, which led to a heated exchange. He insisted it was a four-hour window, despite no mention of this on the website, and abruptly informed me that my appliance was beyond repair. Struggling to understand him due to his accent and loud voice, I asked for clarification, only to be met with more yelling. He told me I had heard him, prompting me to end the call. It's baffling that he would shout at a customer and still expect business.
I called this company looking to get service on my oven and the person that answered the phone started yelling and swearing at me and told me to get the f out of Canada and go home and that he's never do any work for a *** person. What an awful way to interact with someone. Please do not call this company. He should be ashamed of himself.

I talked to Amin today about my washing machine and he was honest with me. I have a Samsung top loader and I've had problems with it and he walked me through the steps to fix it and recommended to get another brand (LG front loader) - surprisingly was what we were looking at in case it could not be fixed. I felt he was really honest with me and saved me a service call and gave me vital advice for free. I read some of the reviews below and thankfully he was not rude to me, so hopefully he has changed. I have talked to a few repair places, and you usually don't talk to the technician himself, so this was a blessing for me. I can't speak to his work, as this was only a phone call but it was really, really helpful due to his honesty!

The guy starts yelling at me when I asked to see if I could get my dishwasher fixed, and he started getting mad because I gave him the brand name of my dishwasher. He started yelling because I said to him that his website stated that he fixes my brand. So I asked him as to why he is yelling at me, and he said that because I was mad and upset that my dishwasher was broken. Then he hangs up on me and blocks my number. So then I call him from a different phone, and then I ask to speak to a manager. He then says, "What kind of manager?" And I said again, "Can I speak with a manager?" Then he starts going off and saying, "Are you the china man? You are the china man. You are what's wrong with the world and why it's all messed up." And then hangs up on me. So I can see why everyone else has the same opinion.

Understanding the unprecedented issues affecting everyone worldwide currently (COVID) & that not all companies are able to provide services out of safety & health concerns for their employees, I contacted this company to inquire if they were offering onsite services for washing machine repair. Instead of explaining that they were only offering services over the phone where they would attempt to walk the customer through the repairs (which is what I extrapolated from his "response" that followed), the gentlemen who answered the phone proceeded to yell at me for "being a frustrated customer like all his other customers", "that all his other customers are dissatisfied who don't like taking advice over the phone" and that "this is going to affect more people worldwide than just Canada", after which he promptly hung up on me. So maybe don't call this company, cause yeah... He MAD.

My refrigerator quit working this morning, which was alarming as the weather has been very hot for the past week.i panicked and phoned several companies that repaired appliances, none answered the phone. The last one I called was Murphy Appliance repair. I explained my predicament to the gentleman that answered the phone, he asked a few questions and told me I did not need a repair man and told me how to fix the refrigerator myself, which was an easy fix, but I did not know that. In today's world, I think the honestly was heartwarming as he could have simply come out, did whatever and he could easily have charged me a couple of hundred for his expertise. I must say I am very impressed with this company and will certainly suggest the company to friends and family. Thanks to whomever answered the phone on the morning of July 31, your advice was spot on!?

I cannot stress enough, run don't walk away from Murphy Appliance & Electronic Services. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Amin is mean and aggressive. Terrible service. Not only did he insult me on the dishwasher I own but he berated me on the type of detergent I used in my dishwasher. After 90 mins on something that should have been a simple fix, he gave up and told me to call someone else and left. Amin's reason that he couldn't replace a part because the part came from China. I am pretty sure companies like Samsung and LG make sure parts are built properly. Another plumber came the next day to install the same part in less than 15 minutes. While Amin was "working" he received a call from someone looking for his help on an old appliance, not only was Amin totally rude to the person, Amin hung up on the person in mid sentence. Sadly I have to select a star to post this review but Amin and Murphy Appliance & Electronic Services deserve less than ZERO!

Murphy Appliance..I would like to leave ZERO stars if I could .I had a horrible experience with this company. When I called to enquire about our dryer being repaired, the man on the phone called me stupid for having bought a Samsung dryer. He literally would not let me speak and explain the problem. He told me I was inpatient and not listening to him. He asked me about our venting and whether the vent went through the roof or under a deck. I explained it went right through one wall to the outside of the house. He told me he couldn't take my word for it because he didn't believe I knew what I was talking about. After him basically yelling at me for about 2 minutes, I began telling him I didn't think we would like to use his services. He cut me off and said "Oh you don't want me to come now. Good luck getting someone else who wants to do this job". I honestly hung up on him. He was so rude and disrespectful. I have no idea how he can run a business!

I called the number on the website and the person who answered was extremely rude! I began explaining that my washing machine door was locked and I couldn't open it. However, before I could finish my explanation, they started yelling at me to hold the child lock button for 3 seconds. I mentioned that my older model didn't have this button and tried to continue explaining, but they kept interrupting and shouting "no, no, no" while offering suggestions. Every time I tried to speak, they would yell "no, no, no" again. They asked for the model name and number, and when I provided it, they insisted I was wrong. I informed them that I was reading it from the manual, but they started screaming at me, insisting that I needed to read the model number from inside the door. I reminded them that I couldn't do that because the door was locked, and they completely lost control. I told them I was hanging up because of their yelling, and in response, they called me a derogatory term. This individual's behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise against contacting them, as they are extremely unprofessional!

Zero Stars. I politely called about a Moffat range which he said was old equipment without even asking me for a model number or picture. At that point, I politely agreed that I thought it was old and then he started on a tirade of how I am not knowledgeable because I didn't recognize the Moffat name. He kept on his yelling spree repeating how I am not a local of which I responded I am born and raised here. All I wanted from him was his price and availability and he couldn't handle that. His voice was distinctively East Indian so in defense of him accusing me of being from some other country other than America, I mentioned that he sounded Indian and he went right off the rails. He told me to go "F" my grandmother and I hung up. What a horrible person this guy is. He should be in front of a judge in court. I am over 60 years old and have never heard such vitriol spewing from a service person's mouth when their paying customer is talking quietly and respectfully to them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY...PERIOD. END OF STORY.

I wish I could leave negative stars. Tried to call them to book a servicing on my malfunctioning Dishwasher and gave him the error code I see. He told me to text him the make and model because the error codes mean nothing from year to year. I thought ok, so I did. Then texted him yesterday to confirm my appointment was booked and to give me a ball-park figure of cost since nothing is posted on his website. All I received back was one word yes. When you book an appointment on his website, you can only book a 1hr time range and that's it. When no one showed up after two hours of waiting, and I called him, things got messy. The guy yelled at me, said it was a 4 hour window and cut me off when I tried to say nothing on your website says that. He then went on to yell at me that my appliance was irreparable. Because I couldn't exactly understand what he said because of his accent and sheer volume, I asked him to repeat what he said, at which point he then yelled at me, "you heard me" and I hung up. Who does this guy think he is? Yelling at customers and expecting anyone to book with his company? Like seriously?

Honestly I don't believe this is a real business. I had a negative experience with Murphy Appliance & Electronic Services. I called them because my Sears Kenmore Elite fridge quit working. Their website says they deal with Sears Kenmore equipment. First call goes ok. A person with limited English proficiency answers my phone call. They instruct me to unplug the fridge, leave it for 20 minutes, and then plug it back in. If it doesn't start cooling down, they tell me to call them back. I follow their instructions and unplug it for 30 minutes. I plug it back in and wait 30 minutes, but there is no sign of the fridge cooling down. So, I call them back and the person gets angry right away. They scream and berate me, even calling me stupid. They make derogatory comments about Canadians, saying it's just common sense that I should have waited an hour before calling them back. It was a frustrating and disrespectful interaction. This is exactly how my experience with Murphy Appliance & Electronic Services went. It's unacceptable for any business to treat potential customers this way. No one could ever stay in business with such behavior. Then again, what do I know? I'm just a frustrated Canadian customer.

Absolutely horrifically rude and obnoxious - the person who answered my call had thrown 3 jabs before I even described my problem This seems to be par for the course based on the other reviewers I feel bad for this guy because Im sure hes not hitting his potential in his business or personally. Bottom line: unless you like to jab on the phone with rude associates, just skip the business altogether and call someone else. I wouldnt trust this business at all for anything based on how they treat their customers.
