Purchased $150 gift card on 9 / 13 / 11 to save money on gas through kroger. Went to shell station in front of kroger and swiped at the pump. It asked for a zip code. The card says "register your card at www. Mygiftcardsite.com before you make an online purchase. " it doesn't say anything about before purchasing gas on the card or the package. Transaction was declined! Tried a 2nd time and it was declined also. Looked online and found the card showed $2 available. It had placed a hold on $148 ($74 each swipe) even though it was declined. Called customer support to find that the "funds will release on the 23rd if not sooner. " been checking daily (And have since registered the card) and the funds are still not available as on 9am on 9 / 23 / 11. Called again to be informed that they are scheduled to be released at midnight tonight. When advised that they had stolen my money for the last 10 days, they blamed it on shell. Shell said the funds were released when the card was declined for incorrect zip code. Mygiftcardsite is a fraud. Do not purchase their gift cards from kroger or anywhere else!

Received a $250 gift card, went to use it (which you can't) and there is $63 left on the card. Call customer service and they need the receipt when the card was purchased to issue a new one. How about I just never use their ignorrant ### again.

My former boss gave me this card as a Christmas gift and I moved and misplaced it. Well, I found it along with other gift cards and I cannot get this card to work. The website, mygiftcardsite.com, did not help and suggested I call. I called [protected] and the woman I talked to, Bianca, said I would have to call back with the purchase receipts and codes to get the card activated. First of all, I moved all the way across the country and I don't work there anymore. Secondly, I seriously doubt my former boss kept any of the receipts and codes. Bianca said there was nothing she could do. This is lame, there are way too many people on here who have been robbed. I am just glad I didn't put my own money into this. If there are any lawyers out there who are interested in a class action lawsuit, MyGiftCardSite is a perfect target!

I have been using mygiftcardsite gift cards for over a year, never had a problem. All of a sudden, every gift card is not working. It shows a balance online, but when I try to use it at amazon or any other online retailer, it is declined. If this is a glitch, they need to fix it. It has been happening to me for 2 months now.

U.S. Bank National Association is the issuer of these cards. This bank is owned by Bloomberg and has $410 billion in assets. It is the fifth largest bank in the U.S. Why is a rich billionaire bank ripping off so many working people? We need to start a class action suit and sue for the money lost . People who lost money should contact OCC...Office of the Comptroller of the Currency . They are located in Washington, D.C. There is a website to send complaints, if this one is not effective. I am waiting nine days for $82.99 that was stolen from a gift card that i paid $5.95 for. This is unfair. I need my money back .

Report these complaints to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau...Lookonline to find address and phone number of the bank on your card...Enter it on the complaint form of CFPB. This has got to stop. Stealing is against the law.

The gift card is difficult, sometimes impossible to use. I have found few retailers that can make it work. Then, if you try to use it and it is refused, it locks the account for several days. Most issuers of gift cards hope you never use them, because they keep the balance. I won't bother complaining to Visa, it is pointless. The gift card is a joke of sorts, that just add frustration to my day. I went to check balance at the website listed, card does not exist. The card seems to randomly work. We should all start a company that issues gift cards, then when the card holder gets frustrated, the card issuer gets to keep the balance. The card issuer is enriched, some gift. They are a scam, but those that give them don't know. Don't give gift cards, give folding money, it works at all retailers.

I have experienced the same thing these above customers have. I purchases $250 in gift cards (five $50 cards). I did not use these for approximately 2 years. When I went to use them, they were empty. They had an expiration date of 05/19, but had assessed an inactivity fee of $2 per month until used. I called and they refused to refund the money. Also refused to provide me with their address for service or process. I was hoping to take them to small claims to recover the lost money.

I would NOT recommend that anyone do business with this company. You will loose out in the end. When contacting their supervision, I spoke with a Carrie who could care less about their business practices. Very sad.

One of my friends got ripped off by mygiftcardsite.com. I just wanted to post this because few people know that this company is owned by the Kroger Company in Cincinnati. You can check here: http://website.informer.com/mygiftcardsite.com for more information. I think that if you have any complaints, you should direct them to Kroger. I would think your voice will be heard there!

I purchased one of these card just yesterday and it was never activated. 100 dollars. When u spend a 100 on a gift card u are expecting to use it. Not putting money on it just for no reason. I called them up and they told me some bull that they canceled the card because it was fraudulent activity. We never even got to use to, it was declined the second we tried to use it. Its because they are the frauds. This is amazing to me that us bank is ripping people off left and right and getting away with it. The lady on the phone was not helpful and rude. She didn't care to listen. Before this happened I tired to register the card on there website and it kept saying something I entered was incorrect. And the lady on the phone doesn't know when I will get my money back they said it could take a week. And they can't give the money back the put it on the card. I didn't just buy a 100 gift card to not use it soon. I needed to use it. SHAME ON U US BANK for stealing hard working peoples money. Something needs to be done about this. I will never buy one of these gift cards again! I do not trust us bank anymore! Paula

My husband received a $200.00 gift card from my mother for his birthday. We attempted to activate last night on their website. It was the worse website I ever seen in my life. Called customer service and the lady who answered the phone was a complete idiot could not even repeat the numbers on the card back in the correct order. I had to keep telling her the number on the card. After the fifth attempt she informs that the card has been purged from the system for being too old. The expiration date on the card says 4/19. I attempted to explain this to the idiot CSR and all she would say was sorry for your inconvenience. I asked to be transferred to the supervisor. She placed us on hold for over twenty minutes and kept coming back on the line but was never transferred. I am reporting the company to the BBB and FCC for their illegal practices.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

So dumb, card works fine. I have gotten these every year for Christmas and birthday. It is how my mom gives gifts to her grown up kids. Most pumps have stickers that say not to use at the pump, go inside and pre-pay. Register the card online and you can get a pin to use at debit readers. When did all of civilization become so dull that we can't read simple instructions.

I bought a $100 Visa gift card and gave it to a customer who later called me and said the card has a $16 balance and was humiliated while at a restaurant when the card declined. I contacted the www.mygiftcardsite.com and I was told to complete and fill out an affidavit along with front and back copies of the card, and a statement of fact and fax it to 2 separate numbers. Since then I have called more than 10 times but I each time, I had to give the same story and I was transferred to a voice message but no one ever calls back. It has been over 9 months since I filed the complaint with the company but I have been ignored. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB but I was advised the company did not respond. I can't believe a company like this still operates here in the US.

I just got off the phone with a rep who said my card probably got sucked dry by the $2/month dormancy baloney. I thought California had a law where GC had no exp. date. She said I had to send pics via FAX like it's nineteen freaking eighty nine! RIDICULOUS!

I now am part of this list. Was given a $50 Card. I went online to check out the balance and was told to call a number to get more information. I called and the very nice and helpful CSR I spoke to said it did not come up in their system. I asked if this means the card is Worthless. She said she hated to say so but: YES! So a friend of mine spent their hard earned $50 on this card and now it is something I can put in the shredder. May this company FRY IN HELL!

I purchased one of these cards. Do not buy these cards from mygiftcardsite.com, they steal your money from you. Bought a $100 gift card, made a purchase of $11.95, another for $12.01, and another for $12.01. That is $35.97 cents in purchases, they tell me there is only $2.53 left on the card. Some one has stolen $61.50 from me. The gift card company are a bunch of thieves. These people can go lick donkey [censored]. I repeat do not buy gift cards from mygiftcardsite.com. They will [censored] you out of your money.

My card was issued by US Bank, so I'm going to swing by a branch and ask them why one of the largest banks in the country is involved in this type of shady crap. I'm sure they'll have a great excuse, but want to hear their answer face to face.

We received a $100 card as a gift. We checked the balance a few months later before going out shopping and the card showed one charge-- exactly $99 at "Brighthouse". We don't even have Brighthouse service in our state, so that didn't make much sense. I called the customer service line and reported the charge. They told me they would de-activate my card and send me a new one. Several weeks later I got a letter in the mail saying that they now needed a written confirmation that I did not make the charge. I promptly handwrote a letter and mailed it in. It has now been a couple months since sending that letter and I have not received a new card. What's worse, is that now whenever I call into the phone number listed on the card, I enter my card's number (as requested) and then the voice memo says, "Thank you for calling.. Goodbye." And the call ends! I'm guessing now that my card isn't active it means I'm ineligible to contact customer service? Good grief!

Horrible customer service. They made it sound like they care, but they kept on saying there's nothing else they could do. And at the end of the call, the agent asked, "is there anything we can do?" I activated a card for $20 and less than a month later when I tried to use it, it kept giving me an error. Went online to look up the balance, and it did not recognize the number. I called to their CS team and was told that the card number was not in their system anymore. Either they are scammers, or they just have terrible business operations. How can they not be able to trace the card number at all, especially if the activation was within 2 weeks? I will never do business with this company. I hope the owners can sued.

I received two of these cards. One for $25 and then another one for a LARGE amount $250 or $500. I could not register either one. Both of them indicated that they were invalid. The more recent one, the smaller one, I just tried today on the off chance that it would work, and it did not. Then I tried calling customer service but the automated system asked for my card number and then told me it was invalid. No matter what I did, I could not get a hold of a human being and it eventually hung up on me. When you go to their website, they give you a phone number but no street address or email for customer service. That should tell us all something right there. It occurred to me to file a complaint with the California ATtorney General's fraud department online. If you are in California, you should too. If not then file a complaint in your own state. They need to get these guys just like they have gotten other companies that defraud consumers. I am going to locate the larger card, which was given to me by my father, who is on a fixed income and file a complaint or have him file a complaint about that one too. It's not right.

Please, Please do not buy these gift cards hanging in the store for holiday use. It's best to just buy a money order. Indeed a rip off. They took my remaining balance. I called customer service to inquire about a balance they said they could not find the card number and that I should throw the card away. The card says that it is valid until 06/22. I used the card first time 3 months ago and now can not use the balance.

Would never purchase one of these cards. I called today to activate my card and the balance is $0.00. I was told it was because of inactivity that it was charged $2.50/month. I wouldn't think you could be charged for inactivity until the card is activated. Maddening!

This is ridiculous. My daughter's friend, 14 years old, used her own money to buy this as a gift and the money has been stolen. My daughter is not able to use the card and her friend lost her money to a scam. This is terrible. The company should have to reimburse the funds.

Sounds like you all had better luck talking to a human. No luck and US Bank seems to to not be taking responsibility either, they keep transferring me to the card services of the mygiftcardsite.
