National Tire & Battery [NTB] alignment

I went in for four tires and paid for the premium package that comes with alignment back in August. I received my alignment and the wheel was cocked to the right slightly. I didn't have time to go back right away and within a couple weeks my steering sensor went bad because it was not reset when the alignment was done and the alignment wasn't correct from the beginning. Now I am looking at a $422 repair for a steering sensor on a 4 year old car. I went back to have NTB Bridgeton correct the alignment and the wheel is still not centered.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] ntb,6407 tx-1604 loop, san antonio, tx

So I Purchased some tires and replaced 4 tire sensors, the salesman or tech said that he replaced the Sensors on the tires. I recently took my car to a Mechanic to get the brakes done and he said all 4 sensors were bad, I told him that we had them replaced at NTB he commented that they were not replaced. We called NTB and they said all the put in was a kit and he confirmed that they did not replace our sensors but they charged us $150 for each. The location above has Crooks and Liars working there. and I will make sure to spread what happened to us on all Social Media outlets. this happened in March 2018

National Tire & Battery [NTB] oil change/ customer service

Hi, so I called and asked how much an oil change was Julie provided the price I wasn't able to hear her the first time so I asked again and she caught an attitude and repeated the price loud slow with an aggravated voice . So I ignored and told her thank you. I called right back got Julie again and asked the time they close she said 7 and that I had about 40 min to get there. Ok so I arrive and the cashier tells me it's too late to do my oil change the guys that are working are working on other cars I would have to come back tomorrow. So I explained to her I called before I came. So she goes and get Julie which I find out is the manager. Ok so Julie comes out and says you have to come back tomorrow a oil change takes 45 min and we are closing. So I'm explaining to her I spoke with her before I came she cuts me off saying well plenty of customer call in and don't show up so how was she suppose to know I was coming. And the whole time she has an attitude and acted like she really didn't want to talk to me . So she starts walking away and I just ended up asking the cashier for cooperate number.
This was my first time ever coming here and that was the worst customer service I have EVER EXPERIENCED. Not only did she have a nasty attitude. She was wrong for telling me I have about 40 min to arrive and then turn around and tell me plenty of customer say there coming but never shows. She never even tried to apologize for the inconvenience just simply gave me attitude and walked away. This is not ok for an employee to do and especially not a manager. It made me so mad and shocked at the same time this needs to be addressed.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] horrible service, clueless employees, work never done!

Today I took my car in at 2:30pm for a 3pm appt. It needed its 56k service, along with the washer fluid pump not working. When I brought it in, I told the person working at the counter that it was a fleet vehicle and he was visibly upset and said well, this is going to take me an hour to write up! Wow sorry to give you my business! I called the shop at 6:45pm as i had not heard anything yet and asked if my truck was ready. He put me on hold then stated it was. I arrived about 10min later and asked Logan what they found with the pump. He stared at me confused and didnt know what i was talking about. He looked on the paperwork and it was clearly written on there. He said he didnt know and the tech was no longer there. I asked why it took so long and he didnt have an answer. He was clearly lost and had no idea what he was doing. This is the 3rd time I have taken a vehicle and have never gotten a call it was ready. I dont even know if anything was done!

National Tire & Battery [NTB] poor customer service and misrepresentation.

Twice in one week, the store manager at the Chattanooga location promised two separate cars ready within a reasonable time frame. And both times the cars were not ready HOURS later. The store manager made the verbal agreement and then left other employees to deal with me, an irate customer when NTB failed to hold up their promise. Terrible leadership.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] oil change

I went to NTB today, 10/17/2018, because I was instructed by a professional to go straight to a shop and get my oil changed to prevent SEVERE damage to engin. Also, my low tire pressure light just came on and the weather is terrible so I'm nervous to drive. I drove in the freezing rain to NTB at 6:45pm and asked for an oil change. The man working at the register made a rude comment about not wanting to provide service due to the fact he was "closing in an hour" and had maybe 2 cars waiting on oil changes. There were multiple docks with multiple mechanics so I really don't understand why I was turned away. Normally, I would let this go but my vehicle needed service immediately and not only did I waste time driving all the way to NTB, now it's after 7pm and I have to find a company that will actually provide the service NTB didn't feel like providing. I didn't have a complicated request and I would understand if I came last minute but 6:45 did not seem too late when it closes at 8pm since there were only a few cars in line. Very disappointed. No way to treat a woman. Thanks.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] incorrect diagnosis - unnecessary charges

I am attaching the letter I sent to the store with no response. Well, I guess I can't attach it.
My car was brought in on a warranty issue. I thought my alternator was bad. The tests indicated that was not the issue and it required additional work. My car was there for 3 days. On the second day I came in and talked to Dan. I specifically requested that he check the ground cable from the battery.
A new starter was installed and I pickup up the car - after learning there may have been a tool left inside my engine...really? The next day my lights started pulsing in brightness. Then, in the middle of an intersection my power steering went out.
To make an even longer story short my son, who is an employee of Honda found that the only issue was the very cable I had asked to be checked. It was loose and rusted.
I was charged 601.77 for services I did not need.
My order # is [protected]. 8/30/18

I respectfully expect a full refund to be sent to me.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] tires

To Whom It May Concern:

On Tuesday, October 2nd at approximately 10am I called the NTB office in Woodstock, Georgia to order 2 tires (Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ - 245/455ZR/18) for the front of my 528i BMW. I spoke to Nick Breazeale and he told me they were in stock. I requested an appointment on Sunday, October 7th at 3:30pm since I was on business travel. Nick confirmed the appointment.

On Sunday, October 7th at 3:31pm I arrived and Dee assisted checking my vehicle in. My daughter and I waited in the lobby. After a little over 2½ hours I stepped out the lobby and went outside to see my car. My car was in the air and the 2 rear tires were off. I asked Shane who was near the door of the bay why my rear tires were off. He stated that the mechanic (Cale) made a mistake and was placing the rear tires back on. I told him that I just purchased the 2 rear tires at another NTB location about 3 months ago and my car tires are staggered. I asked him how can he make such a mistake. I immediately asked for a manager and to put my car back together like it was before they took the tires off.

I returned to the lobby and Dee came to the lobby and said she was sorry, but seem frustrated and disgruntled. I told her that I wanted my car back together like I brought it and that I did not want the tires because I did not trust the mechanic. Soon after, Cale came over to the table where my 17 year old daughter and I sat and he said he was sorry. He said he was working on several cars and made a mistake and that he was almost done with my car. He continued to say, it would take him longer to put the old tires back on. I told him that he had wasted my time for 2½ hours, and he is wasting more time by sitting and talking to me when I have other things to do. I told him I wanted my car back like it was and that I would no longer patronize the business. He hurried off.

Approximately 30 minutes later, my car was pulled to the front and I asked for the District Manager's name. Dee and Shane gave me his name. Dee was very reluctant but Shane was very helpful. I asked for a copy of the invoice and thanked Shane. I mentioned to Shane that I hope there was nothing more was done to my vehicle because I just had my BMW serviced on Friday at Tom Bush BMW in Jacksonville, Florida.

I walked outside to my vehicle and walked around it. My front rims appeared to be scratched and a tire stem cover was missing. I went back in the lobby and asked where the cover was and told both Shane and Dee my rims were scratched. Shane came out and looked at my rims and said it was an adhesive and that my rims should have been wiped off. He told me he was going to get a towel and that he would look for the stem cover. He apologized while wiping the rims repeatedly.

On Tuesday, October 9th I called the store and asked for Nick. I was told he was not in and I left a message. On Wednesday, October 10th at approximately, 9am I called to speak to Nick. Nick answered the phone and he said he had a message to call me but thought it was too early to call. I asked him if he was familiar with what happened to me on Sunday and he said he had heard. I proceeded to tell him what happened. He explained that normally when tires are purchased and installed, the rear tires are rotated to the front. I proceeded to ask him what I requested on 10/2 when I spoke to him regarding ordering the tires and what was confirmed with me when Dee checked my car in upon arrival. I told him I am sure every car has different circumstances regardless what is routine - such as my vehicle. He apologized, however it was not sincere and he was very adamant about the norm.

He basically told me that Cale was competent in so many words and that the timeframe was normal. However, he could not explain why it took 2 front tires that long to be installed and why my invoice read I checked in at 3:50pm when I arrived at 3:31pm. I also mentioned that the invoice read due at 5:00pm, but at a little after 5:30pm the rear tires were still off my vehicle.

I asked for the District Manager's name and number because I misplaced the business card Shane gave me attempting to rush to another appointment on Sunday. Nick told me he would have him to call me. I asked again for his name and number and Nick said he would have to ask him to call me because he could not give out his number. I asked the third time for his name, and Nick told Michael Sission.

On Thursday, October 11th I called NTB Corporate office and spoke to Jennifer. I gave Jennifer the details listed above. She was apologetic and said the incident was in the system and provided an incident number. She also stated that l was offered 50% off. I told her no one offered me anything and my daughter was right there with me the entire time. I told Jennifer that my daughter was shaking her head as I spoke to her, and that she said I was never offered anything. I told Jennifer that I did not receive a call from the District Manager ad she said she would contact him to give me a call or she would call me back.

To date, I have not received any calls from NTB. I have been a customer since 2009, I am an NTB credit card holder, and I have purchased tires from NTB for all 3 of my BMWs. I am a mother, a retired Army veteran, a current federal government employee and the list could go on and on. No one should be ignored, treated in such a manner. I have patronized this company for years while there are many other places I could have frequented. The manager, Distrlct Manager and whoever ultimately oversees the operation should be ashamed. It's uncivil to make up lies stating you offered a customer 50% to make it appear as you attempted to make something right. What a horrible thing to do to make yourself or the company look good when you did nothing. It reflects poorly on the company, the staff and the managers alike.

Sincerely,

Alicia S. Adams

National Tire & Battery [NTB] manager - oil change service

NTB in New Lenox is absolutely horrible! I went in yesterday and was told to make an appointment so I did. I came in today with the confirmation of my 11:30 appointment for an oil change and I was told that it would be at least 4 hours. I'm sorry but that's absolutely ridiculous! The manager was a complete [censored] although the workers from today and yesterday were very kind and understanding.

I lived in Texas and went to NTB all the time and never had a problem. If you want an oil change I suggest Ultra Care in New Lenox. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

AVOID NTB NEW LENOX AT ALL COST!

National Tire & Battery [NTB] customer service

I have Silverock (extended warranty company). NTB is an approved repair shop. I got my 2007 rav 4 towed there (7400 N. Military hwy Norfolk, Va) 10/6/2018 @12pm. It needed an alternator a aproved service with silverock. I called the night before they said it was ok to bring in. The guy at the front desk told me Silverock is closed because they close at 12 it will be Monday I said ok. Monday I called NTB around 12:30 he (eric) said he hadnt gotten to it because of the the walkins and the phone ringing. It probably be Tuesday. My car was there since saturday why are the walkins being service first and my car is being put on the back burner. I waited for 2 hrs I called silverock said NTB hadnt called a claim in. They also informed me they were open on saturday until 2 pm central time. OK so then I waited until 6:30 I called back to NTB. ERIC then Lied and said Silverock was closed today for the holiday he had called several with no answer. I then told him I had talk to them they were open today and were open on Saturday. He starts rambling saying he did call at 2:15 on saturday. A lie he told me they were closed why would he call then. I ask him why all the lies what's going on. I told him please call Silverock I needed my car. Im missing work. I hung up. He calls back in an hour after NTB is close telling me I dont have an extended warranty with Silverock. I only had a 60 warranty. He said I would hav to come out the pocket for diagnosis testing that SIlverock needed. I told him I had paid extra for extended warranty I had talk to company earlier and would have been informed if I wasnt covered. HE grew angry I told him I would come get my car in the a. m he said fine. HE then starting fussing at me because he was having a hard day at work. HE chose his job not me. That's not my issue. I hung up with him. I called Silverock back they told me the alternator repair is covered they said they told him he most send in the diagnosis report so they could finish processing. I'm a customer I did not deserve to be treated in this fashion. I have been waiting days to get my car. I have missed days of work because your agent opted to lie and not start the process saturday or at least first thing monday morning instead of leaving my car in your lot while he put tons of walkins in front of me. I will come get my car I will never attempted to use your services or let anyone I know use it either. I will be calling the better business bureau. I will be informing other agencies also.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] failed to properly tighten up the oil filter after receiving an oil change.

I took my SUV Chevy Tahoe to national tire and battery for a oil change and a few days later my check oil light came on. I started hearing a ticking noise coming from under the hood. Looking under the vehicle I observed oil leaking from the oil filter. I contacted the store in which the oil had been changed. I spoke with store manager James Dickens. He had me to bring the vehicle back to be checked out. They changed the oil again and installed a new oil filter. Mr. Dickens told me that the ticking noise would stop once the oil heats up after circulating. I left the shop and still heard the ticking noise. I called Mr. Dickens back and informed him that the ticking noise had not gone away. He had me to bring the vehicle back, however he wasn't there and no one else could do anything. After not hearing back from Mr. Dickens for several days thereafter, I came back to the shop. I found out that Mr. Dickens had been transferred somewhere else. The new shop manager now was named Mike Thomas. He says that he was unaware of my situation there and needed to talk to Mr.Dickens. After several more phone calls Mr. Thomas had me to bring the vehicle back in to be diagnosed. I left the vehicle there with them at the shop for about three days. Mr. Thomas wasn't there when I picked up the vehicle and it took several more days to get back in touch with him. After speaking with Mr. Thomas, he said that he had submitted an insurance claim for my vehicle. He told that I should hear something from the insurance claim people in about a week. After two weeks and still not hearing from anyone I went back to the shop to find out what had happened. Mike assured me that they would call me. At this point I told Mike that I was going to call 7 on your side news reporters. Mr. Thomas got angry and hostile about that and told other workers not to talk to me nor answer any questions that I had. This made me feel intimidated and unwelcomed in the store. I tried reaching out to other National Tire and Battery stores to no avail. I came back to the Capitol Heights store and once again there was a new shop manager and Mike Thomas was no longer there. The new manager says he knows nothing about my situation and can't do anything. Therefore, I am reaching out to speak with someone from the corporate office to help me resolve my issues before I proceed to take legal action in a court of law.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] nitro tire

Terrible customer service for a default tire that was their fault! I have a 60, 000mile warranty with only 11, 000 miles on my new tires that aren't even a year old! Told me I would have to pay for their mistake and my warranty wouldn't cover a simple blowout on the interstate. I'm not the type to complain, but this place is the biggest scam and David the manager was no help at all and stubborn closed minded person I've ever dealt with.. my question to them was how to I know the other 3 tires won't blowout like this one did last night out of nowhere and your charging me? I spent 1200$ on nittos and they won't even cover my warranty.. go to omega tires or Sams club! Can't believe I had to deal with that and they just were laughing about it saying they would just buy a new tire.. terrible experience after I get my tires rotated normally there and not even 11, 000 miles on these tires and already having bad problems. Cheap and inexperienced workers costing me money.. please help bc David store manager in homewood al was no help and it cost be 300$ for a tow truck for something that is their mistake and trying a extra 230$ for a tire I have a 60, 000 warranty. Like I said he couldn't give me a reason why I couldn't get the warranty. Terrible experience and hope y'all can help

National Tire & Battery [NTB] flat tire repair

To Whom it may Concern:
On Saturday, September 29, 2018, I visited your store on Jefferson Davis Road, Alexandria, Virginia. I have been a customer of NTB for well over 32 years when it used to be NTB. At the location, I spoke to young Hispanic gentlemen. I asked the gentlemen the cost to plug the tire which I have had done for many years. The gentlemen stated that they did not plug tires but patch tires. I had removed the tire from the vehicle. I asked the gentlemen, what was the cost, and he quoted me $40.00 to remove a screw and patch the tire. I replied to the gentlemen I could buy a tire for $40.00. The gentlemen stated in an unprofessional, don't give a dam attitude, that it was my choice. This is ridiculous to charge $40.00 to repair a tire (remove the screw and plug the hole). Over the years, I have purchased tires, had alignments, etc performed on all my vehicles with NTB. I took the tire down the street less than 1000 yards at J.C. New & Used Tires and had the tire plugged for $15.00. I am unable to provide a PDF of the receipt due to your system not letting me attach the receipt. I am requesting a personal reply and not a computer generated reply.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] tire service!! woah...

Well, when a worker gets lazy, is it okay to break company conducts? Like twisting the tire iron to screw the lugnuts by hand and not hammer them in. And causing them to be to tight. Well it happened folks. All of my lugnuts broke off with the piece of my car still attached. My tire almost fell off last night mid-driving. I could've been seriously injured from a workers careless mistake. I want to turn this into a serious issue, to make sure it happens to no one else. Please bring attention to my problem, help me reduce the people it could happen to in the future.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] overpriced ripoffs

Took my car that I just bought last night in to the Maple Shade, NJ store for a comprehensive exam to see what all is wrong with it for the $20 fee. They were supposed to check a bunch of things but only checked a few. I took spark plugs and wires in with me and asked how much to put them on. The guy told me it would take 2 hours at $119 an hour. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I had another place put them on in 20. minutes for $60 instead

Also while I was there, they told me I needed outer tie rod ends. They told me it will be $1000 for 2 outer tie rod ends. ARE THEY MADE OF GOLD? I got them both at Auto Zone for $25 each and had a me hanic put both on for only $45. So it cost me like $100 and they wanted to charge me $1000! THATS INSANE!

My car is a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country, not a limo or anything requiring expensive parts.

The right employees are everything. The NTB in Lawrenceville, NJ, used to be a point of satisfaction for me. Now, I will never go back! I gave them several chances to fix a concern I had. Every step of the way, they made it worse. For most of this year, I would go, and like clock work to the manager, Jason, would r take care of me...always took my car on time; updated me on my status; and was always professional. Current management is a nightmare. Smoking, eating, unkempt...not representative of a professional organization at all.
When I called customer service to complain, I thought they really had my interest at heart. Bottom line nope. It took three weeks to get my issue addressed, and when the store finally did what the CSA committted that they would do, they did not follow the commitment, nor was there any follow up. It became obvious that I had become a nuisance and they sent a clear message that that is how they viewed me. That is fine. I was slated to spend about $1200 on my next set of tires. Now, I will probably drop $1400 at one of their competitors, and do so happily, knowing that my choice in patronage is valued.
Your loss, NTB. I will be using you as a focal point of my customer service and leadership classes, blogs, and posts on what NOT to do.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] a bully & disrespectful service manager

I have been a customer of NTB for over 20 years, I have bought tires and done all related services at different locations, even though I have had unpleasant experience in the past, I did not bother to file complaints. However, this weekend's incident is hard to let go. I Sunday Sept 23rd around 1:30 pm, I walked in to NBT store at the following address:
11951 Paul Mayer Ave
Bridgeton MO 63044,
A store associate told me I needed to make an appointment and suggested I call back to make appointment, I told him check my schedule first. After doing so, I went online, saw they had 3 openings, 3:00, 3:30 and 4:00 on the same day. So, I booked the earliest time, which was 3:00 pm. I got email conformation that says, "We look forward in seen you @3:00"
I arrived at the store 5 minutes early, I was greeted by the most arrogant, hateful disrespectful service/store manager, who seems to hate his job or his life. He did not say how can I help you like a normal person and he was avoiding eye contact, after waiting for him to say something, I told him I have an [protected]@3:00, then without verifying who I was, he said "I just called to let you know that we are running behind, but no one answered the phone, now you are going to wait till 4:00" I told him I will wait, I reached for my phone and told I did not see any missed call from him?
So, he got irritated and said, "Don't give me that look!" I asked what look? He said he did not like the way I looked at him and I was making him uncomfortable, again I asked what he was taking about? Then 2 employees showed up and he told them I was having attituded with him, I told him he was the one who had attituded and I asked him to stop disrespecting me. He responded, "Now I'm going to make you 2 hours instead, maybe even more" and walk away with my key.
After processing his hateful behaviors, I could not trust him with my car, so I asked for my key back and walked about of the store. I went back to ask for his name, he gave me 2 business cards, he said one was his the other one was his manager. I believe he said he was the service manage, so based on the business card, his name is Marvin J. Burris. Manager name is Wayne Kaurtz
I told him I will file a complaint, he doesn't seem to be concerned about it, this makes me wonder if such behavior is a companywide acceptable culture. We have business relationship with your company, we spend our hard-earned money to buy goods and services, not to be abused by your employee. I demand a response on how your company will handle such incident?

National Tire & Battery [NTB] blatant disrespect and poor customer service

On 23 Sept 18 at approximately 1:20 pm I visited the store at 11011 Highway 49 Gulfport, Mississippi. I explained to the young man writing up tickets that I needed an oil change but knew the oil plug bolt had been rounded off and would require an extraction socket to remove. The employee ... young white male, approx 5', 2" short and heavy set explained that he would write up a ticket for an inspection and have a mechanic look at the vehicle and let me know if they would able to change the oil. He scanned my vehicle for details, wrote a ticket and I proceeded to the waiting room. Approximately 40 minutes another customer entered the store requested an oil change (I didn't know this at the time) and joined me in the breakroom/waiting room. Approximately 5 minutes the service writer came and advised her that he didn't have wiper blades to fit her car. approximately 20 minutes later (about 2:30) he returned and told her that her vehicle was ready. Curious at how she managed to get service so fast... I asked her what service she had done. She politely replied, "an oil change." I in turn replied that's what I requested. The customer was very apologetic acknowledging her understanding that I had been there before she arrived. I went back to the reception area and requested the keys to my vehicle explaining to the service writer that I also was waiting for an oil change and that he was wrong for taking the other customer (who happened to be a white female) ahead of me. It shouldn't matter, but I just happen to be a black male. The service writer (not knowing that the customer had already shared with me the service she was receiving) proceeded to explain that there were different mechanics for tire installation versus oil changes. I explained to him that I was aware that this customer had just had an oil change ... to which he seemed supervised that I knew this and began to try to explain it away. I simply requested my keys and left the store.

Not that the service writer would know ... but I just happen to be a 24 year military veteran/retiree who has served this Country honorably for 24 years in uniform earning the highest enlisted rank possible and continue to serve as a Civil Service employee. The treatment that I received is appalling, for any U.S. citizen to have to experience. The customer who was taken care of ahead of me although I arrived at least 40 minutes prior is Ms. Chantelle Jackson and gave me permission to reference her in this complaint.

This blatant disrespect of my time and disregard for my dignity and respect is totally unacceptable and should not be condoned by any business. I eagerly await your response.

National Tire & Battery [NTB] simple routine oil change

As I have often done within the recent Year, after working with my client I pull into the NTB closest to her home on my way home for an oil change, after watching the service man and other workers fiddle with my car, the service guy comes to tell me my dip stick broke because it was" brittle" which I found to be untrue, how did I find out. 1).Because I was told a new one would cost me $20some dollars, " No way!" I responded, found a brand new one on the Mopar site for less than that, 2). When it came I stopped in an Auto ZONE for them to put it in, I could have done it but...why when the guys offer to do things and it's a courtesy, low and behold NTB DID NOT REMOVE THE BROKEN PIECE OUT OF THE LINE, REALLY? IM SO ANGRY, can't even begin to explain the money I've spent at this Co, let alone this location...poor service, liars and rude. My car will never touch the parking lot of this NTB EVER! RECKLESS
