I have been receiving my Nicor bill via email. Trying to help the environment.
Normally I pay the amount stated when I first log in. Today, when paying my bill I decided to look at the therms we have used this last month. I did see the credit given for being conservative in our usage. But what I also saw that shocked me was an additional charge of $7.49 from a company called Pivotal Home Solutions. Nicor customer service washed their hands and told me to call the company directly. After a few hours of useless phone call to this company I finally "chatted with a representative" and hopefully cancelled these SCAM charges.
I am very disappointed with Nicor Gas Company for allowing a company to charge me on their invoice for a so-called plan I never approved of neither written nor verbal.
I feel that Nicor allowed this thief to come into my personal domain and steal my hard working money. I can only guess that Nicor or its representatives must be getting some type of reward for allowing a company to charge a fee on the invoices it sends out to the Nicor customers.
Sadly, I have lost my trust and I will be reviewing my Nicor invoices very carefully for here on out. I also will be making others aware so they too can thoroughly review their invoices.
Desired outcome: Pivotal agent told me it was cancelled today; 9-5-23. I should not see any additional charges to my Nicor invoice from this company or any other company.
