I was riding the 404 towards Philadelphia that departed from the cherry hill mall at 3:50pm. I'm not sure if it was the 3:30 route running late or the 4:00 arriving early. The numbers inside the bus are 5573. I was not able to get the drivers name but she was EXTREMELY rude. The passenger to board before me was not familiar with the bus routes and she was not helpful at ALL! She even asked the girl and I quote "How are you riding the bus and you don't even know where your going". She then proceeded to say in a very loud voice "Girl go sit down". I was next to board and had my hands full with bags. But I had the two dollars out of the $2.25 it cost to board in my hand already. I asked her if it was fine I didn't have the quarter because I honestly didn't think I had one. She proceeded to inspect my bags and say "You got food and you went shopping at tjmaxx but you don't have a quarter for the bus". I feel like this was EXTREMELY uncalled for. I'm a student at the Harris school of bssing located behind the mall. I carry my school supplies in a tjmaxx bag because its easier for me than a bookbag. Not to mention the food i had was given to me and not bought. But either way she should not adress customers this way it is very embarassing. Luckily for me I was able to find the 25 cents and board the bus. However the unprofessionalism of your driver was very distasteful. She is supposed to be a representation of your values and beliefs of customer service. Her overall attitude towards passengers shows otherwise. Another passenger who rides this particular bus often said she is always like this. I think she should undergo some more training on customer service and how to politely inform passangers of the rules of the bus. Instead of speaking to them in condescending tones and belittling them.
bus driver stops to take a call!
199 Bus to NYC via Nutley
Bus # 19081
4:57 pm (?) bus
On Friday, September 27, 2019 at approximately 4:49 pm the bus driver made a left turn after crossing the Passaic River bridge onto Riverside Avenue. We had just passed the Lyndhurst Diner when I noticed the bus had come to a stop. My head was buried in a book so I didn't notice until 2 minutes later when I looked up, realized we had stopped and asked a passenger on my right what happened. He told me that the driver was on the phone outside the bus. I leaned over and saw the driver on his cell phone taking a call. By this time 3 minutes had passed. Another two minutes went by when the driver climbed back on the bus to continue the trip as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred.
The bus was scheduled to arrive by 5:50 or so. We got to the Port Authority and let off the bus at approximately 6:20p. Hmmmm.
Seems late to me. Wonder why?
Please forward to NJ transit. Possible safety hazard.
buses operating ahead of schedule ('hot')
Some bus operators frequently arrive and depart scheduled stops >10+ minutes prior to scheduled times, for which there is seldom any excuse, causing would-be passengers to often miss intended bus connections.
NJ Transit Bus Operations division surely has the capability to analyze its own GPS data to produce reports of particular drivers who routinely disregard scheduled stop times, therefore the agency should instruct those bus operators to pause or stop en route until vehicle is synchronized with published schedule.
Passengers who politely question and comment to drivers about this problem are sometimes treated improperly and retaliated upon by drivers on these bus lines.
track workman
Im a resident of Point Pleasant beach. Im a homeowner on Osprey Ave. your workman have had several track repairs in the area the last 2 years. Its not fair to the residents of Osprey Ave to have to clean up garbadge that your workers leave behind.
Yesterday and and today again no different they throw water bottles and garbadge all over the place,
Its not our job to clean up after your employees i know they dont care because they dont live here.
Last year i cleaned up over 40 water bottles from your employess after several days of work they treat are neignborghood like crap !
I would appreciate something be done and i woiuld like to be contacted about this.
they leave the garbadge then it blows onto our property.

poor service extreme cold temp
I boarded the Bus 156R 9716 this morning heading to Port Authority.
It was extremely cold, below normal habitual temp. It was only 69F outside, there was no need in extreme cold temp on bus. I asked the driver to adjust the temp. He did not do anything. Women were shivering, men usually don't care because they wear long sleeve shirts, pants, socks and shoes. The problem is many male drivers Don't care! They don't feel that cold in their front seats. It is especially colder on the back rows on the bus. The drivers need to be trained better how to adjust the AC and have more understanding that this cold temp is unhealthy. We can get a head cold, sinus cold, neck problems etc. Improving customer service on the bus is important!
hudson bergen line light rail
In the morning during extreme rush hour, there is a lightrail to hoboken that gets to the bergenline ave at about 8:10. There is not another hoboken train for 15 minutes.in the meantime there are two liberty state park trains that come to the station back to back while we are waiting 13 minutes for the next hoboken train.
Doesn't it make more sense have one hoboken train then a liberty state park and then another hoboken train? It is completely dumb to have to wait another 13 minutes for a hoboken train. A lot of people are waiting for the hoboken train in the morning.
If all three elevators ever worked maybe people would be able to get their train on time! Every single day I have to get crushed on the way down and then on the way back up. Pathetic. Yet you have the nerve to give tickets for those that do have a ticket. How about you use that ticket money to fix the goddamn elevator? How's that for a novel idea?
I was waiting for the 167 bus at 8:22pm at The Frank W Burr Boulevard at Townhouses (Glen Point) and standing in plain sight and the bus flew by at High Speed. I had to wait 2 hours for the next bus.
bus driver route 192 x aug 12 2019
I was on bus 7672 today at 5:00pm.
Route 192x
The driver several times cut off other drivers. We had several times where drivers were blowing their horns for a very long time. The female driver slammed on the brakes often. It was literally the worst and scariest ride I've ever had
I have never had to write an email before. This driver is dangerous and should be given proper training or another job before she hurts someone!
reckless driving
On Sat. at approx. 5:19pm in Paterson, NJ a NJ Transit bus driver made a reckless turn that almost hit me. The 744 Bus # 6103 License plate OYA4836. He was making a left on Madison Ave. on to Park ave. And I was driving straight on Madison ave. The car in front of him I let them make a left and then I proceeded to go straight on Madison ave. The bus went Quickly right behind that car to make the left with them. I had to slam my brakes and he continued making the turn instead of stopping and waiting for a safe opportunity to make a appropriate legal turn. I never seen anything like it, he even was on the opposite side of the street on Park ave just to make that turn. I was going straight to Madison so it took me a bit to catch up and get the license plate #. This man could've caused a tragic accident. He doesn't deserve to be a driver ESPECIALLY responsible for the lives of the people on the buses. If he doesn't have the patience & driving skills to drive such a large transportation vehicle he shouldn't be a driver. NO one should drive like that, even a car but a HUGE bus to do something so dangerous was scary.
trains/rail
Aside from the daily annoyance of cancelled trains, due to the recent Rolling Stones concert at MetLife Stadium on Thursday and today, TWO North Jersey Coast trains during RUSH HOUR between 5 and 6 have been cancelled due to equipment availability. Bull! The unavailability is to accommodate people going to the concert, and the hell with people who pay commuting costs every single month for horrible service. This is so ridiculous, and I, for one, and sick and tired of it.
second to last car conductor - aggressive and touching personal property
I take the 10:11AM train into NYC daily for work and have recently had a great experiences with on time service. Today I was sitting in the second to last car. I do business on the phone on my way to work. I know the rules of a quite car.
There were no signs up and this was not the last car. I assumed that the last car was open and that was the quite car. The conductor was very aggressive when he came up to me to tell me it was the quite car. I immediately hung up the phone and asked him why there was no signs and if the last car was open! He then told me he was calling the police and "throwing" me off the train. I started recording at this point because I felt threatened. He reached for my phone to take it away from my (caught on camera) and demanded for me not to record his appalling behavior. I got up and had to find refuge in another conductor. The problem conductor saw me talking to the refuge conductor and charged down two car and loudly said "Is there a problem here?" The other conductor told me to go talk to the head conductor. As I went to do that the problem conductor raced past me to talk to him.
I stayed by my refuge conductor until he was done with the Head Conductor. Once he passed me I went to the Head conductor who helped me get comfortable in his section. I told him I feel threatened because of the problem conductors actions. He tried to take my cellphone, was very aggressive and was asking me and the other conductor "If there is a problem?"
Please send my gratitude to the professional team you had on this train (excluding the problem conductor). I have attached my video.
nj transit bus 7139
Hello,
This bus nearly caused an accident on the high way on July 16, 2019 around 4:52 PM. I was in my lane when the bus cut through my vehicle and other vehicles to go to the far left lane. If I had not braked and pulled to the right I would have collided with the bus or and other vehicles. This bus was going towards NYC- Lincoln tunnel Route 3.

bus 156r
I got on bus in Cliffside Park around 8.20 am on Monday July 22. It was extremely cold on the bus. I politely asked the driver to adjust the temperature but he started yelling and arguing. No 5210. How long is it going to continue that untrained stubborn bus operators will keep exposing us to cold temperature below normal required standards and violate the covenant of habitability? Please take measures to address it with administration to instruct drivers to keep normal temperature on the bus. Thank you so much. Natalie Usova resident of Cliffside Park.
Horrible bus service, extremely cold temperature in bus.
nj transit bus #6291
This driver did not let me switch lanes he blocked me and almost hit me twice. He just cut me off and squeezed me almost against the underpass. Very irresponsible driver, looks like he was under the influence because of his horrible reckless driving. I drive a Honda Pilot and he is obviously bigger as he drives a bus. The company needs to take away his license before he kills someone.
handicap parking at north bergen park & ride bus 320
NJ North Bergen Park & Ride has Handicap Parking by the Second Bus Stop Closest to the Exit of the Parking Lot.
When the buses enter the lot Every day beween 8:25 - 8:45AM morning peak rush hour they arrive at the second bus stop full with no seats because passengers walk to the First bus stop by the Paterson Plank entrance. So everyone is running and walking briskly so they can line up to board the bus located there. Every morning this takes place and since the lines are long the buses get fulled up... So by the time they get to the second bus stop by the ONLY Handicap Parking Permitted there are NO SEATS. This morning July 12, 2019 I had to wait until 4 buses passed making me very late for work until I was able to be seated.
Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.
Tourist season also creates a need for more buses as they arrive half full from the Hotels creating long lines.
I need to park by the FISRT BUS STOP so I am not at a Disadvantage.
This has been the case every day for many months and no one is addressing my problem.
If I had been able to have handicap parking by the first stop I also could get on the bus a lot sooner and not be late for work everyday.
HELP!
bus driver
I catch the bus in Totowa at Taft Road and Maltese drive. The bus driver tells me it's no loner a bus stop, however I've been catching the bus for 4years at this location.. In the meantime she proceeds to stop for someone that wasn't at a bus stop.. This isn't my first run in with this bus driver . The bus number is 5684 at 5:09 pm on Tues July the 9th. As I'm leaving the bus your bus driver proceeded to laugh and tell me next time she won't bother to stop at all.. Her attitude was appalling and rude and there was terrible customer service shown by your employee. I've been a monthly ticket holder for years and I can't believe the disrespect the driver showed me. Hopefully my complaint won't go unheard and action can be taking so this type of behavior doesn't happen to any other passengers on your bus service..

lost and found
Bus from NY Port Authority 07/05/19 1:45 #129 bus driver should be retrained to show common courtesy and improved customer service. While boarding bus, I was struggling to board; having large objects and the ticket in my hand. The bus driver for this route literally left his arm on the steering wheel and would not reach out to get my ticket. I literally had to enter his area with my items in hand to give him my ticket. To add, the bus was very warm, and after taking off my kimono, I left it on the front seat across from driver. Right after the bus departed, I realized what I had done, so I notified NJ Transit. I was told that the bus driver's radio was not working; then told he was not going back on route and was not turning around; that he was going to the garage.
On 07/09/19 I followed up. I was told that the komono was not on the bus. Why would someone tell me that he notified that he was not going to go back on route and that he was going to the garage if it were not found. From the beginning, bus driver was discourteous and I would not be surprised, given that my stop was near the end of the route, that he discarded my item.
bus driver 543260 and bus #7299
On Tuesday at approximately 7:05pm on Tuesday 7/2/19, I, Douglas Jackson, attempted to sit in a disability priority seat when a passenger became erratic. Said passenger started a commotion, claiming to be uncomfortable with this commuter sitting next to her. We both exchanged our discomfort when the driver (#543260) threatened to call the police and have myself (with a disability pass, as well as a support cane) thrown off the bus. When dispatcher was informed of the situation, the driver was instructed to continue on his route. This was very unprofessional to a public service provider and very unfair, and appears to be prejudicial. I am requesting a meeting to discuss such a violation of public service for a commuter with a disability, and what appears to be a prejudicial issue with this operator.

bus /bus driver wreckless and careless driving cutting across 4 lanes before toll booths for exit 18e and 16e on nj turnpike exit for lincoln tunnel
On Monday 7/1/2019 Bus # 7239 at 7:26pm cut across 4 lanes as it was approaching the tolls. The driver sped from the left to right lanes in order to get to the 16E toll booths and I had to use evasive maneuvers to not get side swiped by the bus. I was going along at the posted speed limit approaching the 18E lanes when the above mentioned bus just cut across 4 lanes to get to the 16E tolls. He was speeding and just cut across the lanes without regard to cars next to him or behind him. If it weren't for my wife screaming to get out of the way, the bus definitely would have hit my left side as he was cutting across from left to right to get to the 16E toll booths.
