Nokia hanging problem

i have purchased a nokia n72 before few days, it has hanging problem from the next day of purchase, i went to nokia care they formatted it but there is no solution of the problem. now there is another problems in network. i went to nokia care again but they want to keep the phone for 15 to 20 days. plz help

Nokia N72 hangs frequently. Also problem with network reception. Totally nokia has decided to bring down its quality. Same thing happened with my previous model 3230.

I have recently purchased( on 17-05-07) one NOKIA N-72 from Uniflame Equipment, Guwahati. the set has developed some problem and i had requested the Uniflame Equipment, Guwahati to get it corrected through an authorized agency. They have given it to Bharali Service Center, Guwahti who has rectified the defect and charged me Rs. 390.00 (Rupees three hundred and ninety only) even the set was under warranty period. They have told that set is infected with virus and it is mandatory to pay for virus cleaning even the set was under warranty period. Uniflame requested them to waive off the charge but they did not agree and forced me to pay the amount. Is it a legal payment?

Do not buy this phone.
I have had it for 6 months and it has been annoying me with lags and glitches for 5 of those months; in the last month I have simply accepted that it is rubbish.

---Issues with image and gallery:
-It can not handle a 2gb memory card; the phone can not estimate memory remaining for photo and video.
-When attempting to video, it freezes and does not unfreeze unless the battery is taken out and phone restarted.
-The sequence mode causes phone to freeze; again the battery needs to be removed.
-Any attempted editing to existent photos results in a discombobulated and distorted photo.
-When browsing though the gallery it often lags, freezes, and aborts back to the desktop of the phone.

---Issues with file manager:
-Many photos can not be moved around at once as the phone freezes and does not carry out the command.

---Issues with messaging and related memory:
-Over 1000 messages can not be deleted at once. During the process it freezes.
-When setting the messages to mmc card memory, the phone operates extremely slowly and often does not open messaging at all.
-'Phantom' messages that can not be controlled eventually build up that can only be removed through a master reset.

---Connection issues:
-The phone is often not recognized when connected via USB.
-The option to use a simple navigation (files etc) instead of the Nokia PC Suite was never given to me upon starting up the phone with the computer.
-There is no Linux support for this phone so you are screwed if you do not have a card reader and aren't willing to store everything on your card and possibly want to have control over your phone memory through your computer.

---General issues:
-Any general command has a great potential to freeze mid-action.
-The phone is slow in general and once you get comfortable with its navigation you will become too fast for it. It will get confused and give up.

Definitely not worth NZ$370

Nokia scam and rip off!

Be aware people. i got an sms saying your mobile number has won 25, 000 gbp in the ongoing nokia promo. for claims call nokia promos uk center now: +[protected] or email [protected]@yahoo.co.uk. i called and they didn't seem serious to me, they just told me to send them an email with my name anf full postal address. come on, if it was nokia the address wouldn't be yahoo.co.uk, but nokia.com. also the phone wouldn't be a mobile number but a land line. please be aware!

this sucks. It is a scam as why would nokia give away so much money to so many people at once. I had a similar email on facebook once so dont give out your personal information. Its just people wanting to steal ur identity. If u really won something why wouldnt they ring u personally. Its just a cruel trick.

Nokia restarting 3 times!

MY Nokia 3110c seized power and restart again whenever it wishes. It seizes and restart 3 times then it switches itself off after the third attempt. I have to wait for hours before it comes back to normal. However it works okay when I remove the memory card. I can't use it without the card, because it is one of the reasons That made me buy it.

i bought my nokia 3110c in september 2008. the problem with my phone is it itself switched off and when i switch it on, it keeps restarting i took my phone to nokia costumer care but i m not satisfied with it bcoz i had happened to me three times before this. so plz give me a good solution.

I also had the same problem with my nokia 3110c but after a lot of trails, i discover that the phone is on a steady state when i have only mp3 audio format on my memory card. I am using firmware V5.5. So if you have such pro, try to convert all your audios to mp3 and see if it works.

after i bought 3110c model in month of Feb it worked fine .When i activated my GPRS last week then after four to five days later it restart automatically after whenever switch off then switch on.
when i remove the memory card from it it starts normally and works fine and when i insert the memory card back in mobile and switch on it restart for 3 times and get switched off in the.
this restarting process is going on repeatedly when the memory card is inserted and get switched off.

i want to know what could be reason behind this and how can i correct this problem.please help me

Restarting Nokia 3110c model

I bought Nokia 3110c model before 5 months.Two months before i faced my mobile was restarted . That time i thought my memory card has
affected by virus . I removed that memory card . And put another new memory card . After 2 months i faced same problem .

Nokia software problem!

I have purchased nokia n70 mho from m/s satellite house co ltd, future park, rangsit thailand, on 21.12.2007. Bill no hf000530, po : s [protected]. Since last one week I was facing some internal software problem - when I call any number, it auto shift to music mode. As a result I am not able to use the mobile.

I had contacted m/s satellite house co ltd, from where I had purchased the mobile. They coolly directed me to m/s iec easy fix, (Job no [protected]) where I submitted my mobile for repairing on 10.02.2008. They requested me to wait for two weeks (till 24.02.08). But till the date there is no response either from m/s iec easy, m/s satellite nor nokia care line-th. I have contacted much time and I am receiving reply as "when the equipment will be ready will inform you". Three weeks already passed and still they are not able to tell when my mobile will be ready.

I am suffering monitory loss as I had to hire a mobile for my business. Please help me what best could be done to receive my mobile back and reimbursement of additional recurring expense.

Nokia phone not at all working

I purchased a nokia n72 phone somewhere in april 2007within amonth ofpurchaseit started giving troubles. the phone was getting continueously hanged, iwent and reported to nokia care, it was replaced once by nokia care at fonix mill compound, mumbai after several repairing efforts. the replacement allso started giving same trouble I had to go to the nokia care office three to four times as after repairing it was failing again within a week. ihave spent enough on this.. I want to replace with some other model. tired of repairing efforts and wasting time, money and herrasment. do I have to approach customer forum for this ? please reply for further course of actions

i purchased nokia 3110c on the month of Out-07 after one month my mobile restart again & again if i remove memory card then that work proper. i scan memory card no virus detect memory card condition is very good. i disagree with nokia. then i go to nokia care he will says that there was a virus in your phone & memory card and he will say that you will pay for it a Rs 175.and last time in my phone there is no network i want to nokia care he will say that our phone IC is damage u will pay Rs 750 for this, This type of problem came 2 times in my phone and i will pay 1500 Rs for this.
So Nokia Pls help in this matter.

even i purchased my cell phone in may 08 and it give me ###ing same prob of restarting every time u update the library or sumtime even widout dat...###in nokia Co product.

Updating the version to 6.02 is the solution so i wud be updating it @ the nokia care centre

Guys i hv learnt the lesson...in future i wud never ever purchase a nokia product an wud nt evn recommend it to my friends.

I have a nokia 2630 handset it has hanging prblem when calls are receieved. When there is continious receieved call ring on mobile then it hangs with indication keypad locked.Switch on only after removing battery and placing it again. nokia dealer Jodhpur on 23.2.2008 has updated software but problem still exist.I have purchased this mobile on23.12.2007 from novelty stores Jodhpur having Sl NO. 1 MEI [protected].Please look in to the matter

I purchased two 2630 phones on O2 pay as you go in Jan 2008. Both these phones hang if a call is missed while the key pad is locked. Sent both phones to O2 for repair, when they were "repaired" the problem was still not fixed. Sent both phones back to O2 again, this time one of the phones was replaced with new 2630 which seems to work OK, but the replacement for the second phone still has the same problem. Have now sent the 2nd phone back to O2 yet again to have this problem sorted out and am still waiting...

I read on another internet site that this is a problem with 2630 and Pay as You go, something about a missed call notification incompatibility. Of course Nokia and O2 must know about the problem so why are they not replacing the phones with a model or manufacturer that works? This is typical of large companies ignoring problem.

I have a Nokia 2630 and I am most disappointed to discover this hanging problem. But with my phone, it does not respond to any keys after a missed call. I have to remove the battery and replace it. The phone then comes back to life but I have to reset the date and time. Do you think this problem could be solved with a sledge hammer?

Nokia receiving unwanted smss

Respected Sir / Madam ,

MY REQUEST ( No : [protected] ) for Do Not Call Facility is regestered by SMS on 29 - Nov - 2007 and I have received the reply on the same day by SMS from Reliance Mobile NO :53733 at 01 : 00 :02 Pm that it will be activate within 45 days .However I am daily receiving SMS from from No : 51234 to call [protected] and type my date of birth to stsrt getting my daily predictions .SMS for Free ! and call 1 Re/min ! i do not know who is Sending such SMSs and disuturbing me unnecessarily. I am neither his / their member nor the subscriber. I have already requested on the said No : 51234 by SMS to stop sending me such SMSs but of no avail and I am still receiving the SMS from him /them as usal.

Would you please look into the matter and see that sending me such UNWANTED SMSs by whomsoever he / they may be is stopped with IMMEDIATE EFFECT OR Else advise me the necessary action to bo taken by me against him / they .

you have promised me on 29 - Nov - 2007 by SMS that my request for Do Not Call Facility wil be active within 45 days.How then such thing can happen ? Just solve my problem for which act of kindness I shall be highly obliged of you .

This has reference to the subject cited above. I had purchased a Mobile of Model No 1208 two months back. From the first day onwards, the battery back up is very poor & it gets hanged repeatedly. Last evening, the Test Mode came into the set.

When I had given the set to the Nokia Care, NDSE Part I they said that I shall get it after 10 days, which will be a problem for me without the same.

Nokia mobile for repair, lost after 10 mnths. wost service provider

Hi whoever listens,
I am working in Microsoft India R&D Pvt Ltd, and am a frustrated custumer of HCL Infinet Nokia Care, Punjagutta, Hyderabad which is the worst Nokia Care I had seen. My 10 years faith on Nokia Products has been washed away by the bloddy operators of this Nokia Care. I had given my Nokia 6100 Ten(10) months back, which was under warranty for a minor repair, and it has not been received till date. I am made to run to them every month but every time I get an answer it will come next week. It has been more than 10 times that I had visited them till date. Now they say the cell is lost. Sorry! Can you believe this.
The manager bloddy has stopped picking my calls and no one is talking to me. They are thieves, liars and the worst customer care in the country. How can they gulp my mobile after making me run around for 10 months and that too at the cost of my time and money wasted. I am going to publicise this in every corner of the world.

NOKIA will suffer because of their attitude. The customer care franchise should be revoked from HCL Infinet.

I'll make sure that this mail goes to every nook and corner of the corporate worlds and they should know about the pathetic conditions of one of the biggest brands in the country.

when i was checking the status, it shows that sent to L3 but the service centre people told me, it takes one week from last 2 weeks.

please the reply as early as possible, if not i will put a legal notice for the delay of the service

Nokia pathetic nokia

I always buy nokia mobile because of its brand name and I was also happy with it.
But now on november 2007, I bought nokia mobile (model: 6085). it worked fine only for one month and started with its problems. loud speaker was not working. as nokia care is 14 kilometers away from my place, I delayed for about 20 days. I went to nokia care center (sampige road, malleshwaram, bangalore) on jan 4th 2008 for repair. they asked me to take back my mobile on jan 7th 2008. I went on the same day and checked whether all the functionalities were working fine.
The repair done by nokia in turn added some other problem. the vibration was not switching off even when vibration is off. hence couldn't listen to music. I checked this on the same day and informed the nokia care of this problem.
They took the mobile back and asked me to wait for some time. I waited for two hours.
After that nokia care made my mobile in such a condition which shocked me. mobile itself was not switching on.
Nokia care spoiled my mobile completely. then nokia care informed me that they have to send my mobile to head office as my mobile was not
Working completely and it may take one or two weeks.
After two weeks I called nokia care and I got no response from them. they hanged the phone. then I called nokiaescalations for the status of my mobile. they gave me some identification number and asked me to call them back with that identification number after two days, then they would inform me of the status of my mobile. after two days I called nokia escalations. they said that my mobile is not repairable and I will be getting replacement cell on feb 5th 2008. I wanted to confirm this with the nokia care. so called nokia care, but they said my mobile is ready after repair and can take. but nokia escalations said that my mobile cannot be
Repairable. so I got confused and called nokia escalations and said what nokia care had informed me. but nokia escalations asked me not to bother what nokia care is telling and asked me to just go to nokia care on feb 5th 2008 and collect the replacement and added that if you face any problem just inform us immediately from there itself and we will take care.
On feb 5th 2008 I left my office early and reached nokia care which is 14km
Away. when I reached there they informed me to come on the next day as they don't have my mobile. I got frustrated and informed to nokia escalations and they said the date the gave will not be exact and there my be some delays. I asked them this they would have informed me before itself and even on the feb 5th afternoon when I called they did not inform me and in turn asked me to collect my mobile the same day itself.
I called nokia care on feb 8th 2008 evening and no response. I went to nokia care on feb 9th 2008 and blasted them, then they came out with the replacement which nokia has given me. the replace what nokia has given is some old broken mobile (model:5200). I did not accept it and I asked them to give my mobile back in working condition. nokia care said that it is not possible as it not repairable and I have to accept different model. I did not accept the broken old mobile, as my mobile was brand new and I used it for only a month. then nokia care said they will give new mobile (model 5200) next week which is of not my interest. I did not like that model and I was forced to accept it, as icouldn't stay with out mobile any long.
On feb 16th 2008 I reached nokia care to collect the mobile. they again gave me old mobile, but told me that it is new one. no other go, so I accepted it. that day night I found the mobile the nokia care has given me has no light for the keypad. I cannot even type numbers in the dark. again the problem. nokia care gave me old mobile. when I informed them they said they will repair that mobile...
My brand new mobile is no more and nokia provided me with old mobile which has so many problems again... now I am frustrated as I remained with out mobile for two months
And bought new sony ericsson mobile and happy with it...
Even today nokia is not ready to give me a mobile with working condition.
Nokia which was connecting people previously is now disconnecting people.
Hope atleast after reading this nokia may provide me with mobile which is in working condition with no problems..

I purchase nokia 6100 three years before. I am facing a problem now that is the battery of mobile is expanded. The shape of battery becomes abnormal. The Battery cover is also cracked due to expansion of the battery.

Now I am facing these following problems with the handset, When the mobile has been Swapped with the new phone .
1). Bluetooth is not working
2). Radio is not working
3). Frequent restarting of mobile phone.
4). Mobile phone gets hanged up whenever any application is started.
5). Wireless LAN application is not working.
6). Vibration mode is not working.
Last time you had swapped my Handset but that was also a cheating game done with me,
When I gave my handset the IMEI number was [protected], I got my handset back and the new IMEI number was [protected], on the exchange note it is written that my old IMEI number was [protected] which is not correct, you have changed some other persons mobile and have given me the Exchange note, I can go the court for this cheating.
This will be the third time I will be giving my handset for servicing, But now I don’t want to give my handset for servicing because I know Nokia is not competent in proving any help and Nokia is helpless in technical support, because they don’t understand the basic working of the phone.
I have given sufficient time and opportunity to your company to rectify your mistake but I didn’t get any solution. Now finally I have no other option other that approaching Consumer Court and I am doing that,
I do not expect any courtesy call or anything of that sort now I want my full money to be refunded back and I will get that money only by approaching the court.
I will be filing a case and you will be getting a copy of my legal advisor’s notice in a weeks time and within a month you will be getting a notice from the court also.

Nokia fraud messages

I received a text message from nokia7784. it said the following:

Congratulations! your mobile number has won *250,000.00 in the ongoing nokia mobile promo for claim call +[protected] & email:[protected]@yahoo.com

I replied the email and was told I won 25000 euros and nokia handset. they asked me for my address and said I would have to pay 500 euros for the dhl which would contain a cheque and a mobile phone.

I told them I dont want the phone just send the cheque and deduct the charges from the amount that I have won. later I recieved a call sayin that I will have to draft a cheque in order to claim my price.

The message centre number was +[protected]

Please advise how can I take action against this fraudulent party and stop this scam from carrying on.

Nokia battery backup

I have purchased the Nokia 2505 before 20 days and now the battey is not charging and not giving the backup i had gone nokia care three times and they are saying that battery is not there and call me three times with in 10 days and then they are saying it will come another 3 days. so what i will do,and they are not ready to give any standby.

Nokia bad service!

I have a Cell C contract which my wife has the use of. Only to discover that the phone has been blocked. I went into Cell C at Canal Walk shopping center, the assistant informed me that the phone has been blocked and blacklisted. Firstly we did not report the phone stolen, clearly it was an error on Cell C side and now after being told that the phone will be unblocked in 72hrs, that was on the 25 January and to date 5 Feb the problem has not been sorted. We also had the phone in our possession and did not report the phone stolen. All we wanted was the phone to be unblocked, the assistant could not trace who took the call and forgot to inform us that the procedure was to complete an unblacklisted form. No compensation has been made for the inconvenience, we are so disgusted with Cell C. Today, 5 Feb we get a sms saying to go and complete the form. Service at Cell C is pathetic, we will now be closing the account.

I am a nokia 3110c user...my phone gets automatically switched off when i insert a 1GB card...more than thrice...it also stops when i apply themes and open music library to update...iv also restored the new software to that mobile many times ...iv also checked the memory card for virus...but of no use...why is it so..? iv decided better stop using that mobile...

I have a problem whit my phone nokia 3110c, when i insert my 2GB micro SD card in phone, turn on phone and after tapeing my pin code, phone just go off, like is restarting, and then go on, 3 or 4 times do this and just go off forever, why?
But first time when I put micro SD into the phone, everthing is runing normaly, but when i upload about 700 MB, phone is going to restart and do this how am explain!

I am Nokia 3110 Classic User. I have purchase it on 29th Feb 2008. Since I am using it with 1 GB San Micro SD Card. I am facing a problem -

Problem :- When I insert my SD Card in to my phone and Turned On My Phone, the phone restarts 3 times, displays NOKIA Logo, Appears Menu, and goes OFF automaticaly. If I take out my SD Card My Phone work well.

I try with other SD Cards, But problem is still there with other cards also.

Nokia fake stock!

I inquired about the Nokia n95 8gn phones and was told that the Nokia was original and i repeatedly asked if the phones was original and not copy and i was promised that the phones were original. I ordered 5 Nokia n95 8gb (210USD$ each) phones and when it arrived it was all fake. The memory on the phone is meant to be 8gn internal and the phone that i received had a SD slot for the memory card - the original nokia n95 does not have a SD slot as the memory is meant to be internal.

I tried to exchange the products for something else, but they wouldn't answer or respond to my solutions. I have spent 1500USD$ for these phones and this was not something that i wanted, as i was misled and i believed the phones to be original.

Got this in my gmail spam box in Australia. New it was ###. Straight away any emails asking for all these details or any comps u shouldn't have to pay or give any details as they should have already. Usually scam emails come from.either UK, nigeria, etc etc also any comp should have ur details already n should not have to ask for personal details cause if u entered a competition they should no already. Alot come from yahoo, yahoo lotto etc etc. Do not reply ever to anythibf with any of your personal details come on guys dont be so stupid. Even I no that myself. U shouldnt have to pay or give out details at all. And they should at least no ur ph number. Not just random emails. Spam spam spam... Any email that ask for ur details or r mispelt words, oh even the duo couriers, or FedEx company, fraud companies. They should not have to ask u. Please b careful just delete. If u won something they will call u not via email. U no when u have entered something or not. They r all stupid scams. Each n everyone of them. Report them n don't ever answer them . Even the FBI ones. Once u transfer money they r in another country there then is nothing u can do about it. Don't b stupid.I even got one from paypla not PayPal, miss spellings in emails should be a sign and report to the companies, such as PayPal phishing, ring PayPal urself. FedEx report them n any other real company get their phishing email from the.real places n let them deal with it. Then delete. Never open attachments either they lay viruses in ur pc or Mobile phones etc n they can access ur camera, banking details etc. So be aware. I do enter alot of competitions n win. But never had to do stuff like this. Don't b stupid they will call u. N don't reply to the text ones either. They r no different!

How in the hell do these people know I have a Nokia N Series phone in the first damn place!

A good rule of thumb for anyone reading. If you get an email saying you are entitled to a dollar amount of any kind, and YOU DON'T KNOW THEM FROM ADAM, Google the email subject and check for scam warnings, before you give out your personal info to a total stranger.

Also a good rule of thumb. Anybody telling you that you have to pay them to get money that is supposedly owed to you is full of crap. Why would you pay someone to give you money?
