Chances are if you won a contest you never entered in you have encountered a scammer. These people are trying to extract all the personal information that they can possibly get and take you for all your worth. Notice how the email isn't even from Nokia it's from Live.com. Whatever you do not respond, do not fall for and do not acknowledge these opportunist scammers or else you will find yourself with a whole lot less money!

could anyone from nokia uk answer this? was it a fake?

Wow, I am impressed by the efficiency of these scam guys! From south africa to Qatar, from the USA to Turkey (where I am from).

I was woken up by their "congratulations! Your mobile num has won 100.000 pounds" message just this morning - 5 messages, one after another! Of course I was terribly annoyed since I was not planning to wake up for another hour or so (especially being an incurable pessimist, never for a moment have I thought that I may possibly have won something)

But to look at it from the lighter side I couldn't help but think that these scam guys seem to be very democratic and non discrimimating in the way they choose their victims - from everywhere in the world - regardless of their skin color, religion or race! I wish the UN would work as efficiently as these scam people... LOL

i received a sms stating that i my mobile number won me 250000 gbp from a nokia promo. i followed up using nokiaclaims.dept@live.com. they followed up with me got my info they send a verification they also request that i pay 490 gbp to get my winnings ship to me. i accused them of fraud but they followed with some document from the ministry of justice of england and wales to try to prove me wrong . I s that a fraud please reply asap.
