I have a home mortgage with NuVision Federal Credit Union as well as a HELOC
I have a home mortgage with NuVision Federal Credit Union as well as a HELOC. I have been told they are handled by separate companies. I have a balance on both loans. I have sold my home and the escrow company has tried numerous times (via fax provided by NuVision) to get the payoff for these loans for the home sale can be completed. Both division of NuVision that handle these home loan products refuse to answer their requests. So I cannot close my sale and my loans continue to accrue interest every day.

This credit union WAS my first and only financial institution that I joined, became a member in the 90's as a young adult when the company was under another name. So it actually hurt me and has me planning a change to another financial institution because one of my oldest credit cards (NuVision) was denied a credit limit increase. On February 4th, I reached out to Mr. and requested an increase on my NuVision Visa Platinum Card. I was saddened to learn that NuVision conducts hard credit inquires for credit limit increases, they're the only credit card issuer out of my six credit cards I possess that operate in this fashion. Because of this I planned to move ahead with the credit limit increase, but with the stipulation that I wouldn't initiate any hard inquiries for two years. I pride myself on maintaining 700+ FICO scores for myself and my wife. After sending multiple emails and phone calls to Mr. over Feb 4th and 5th, I finally get the verdict...denied! I was FLOORED that NuVision stuck it to me when my credit profile is outstanding. I have two cards with limits north of 20K and one north of 19K, all old cards. I also have two newer cards with limits just below 4K, and can you guess what my NuVision card limit is? Only 2K. Unbelievable that NuVision not only operates in the dark ages in terms of hard pulling for credit limit requests, but that they denied my credit limit request. So loyal members whose creditworthiness is through the roof mean nothing to NuVision? Mr. informed me that I do not make enough and that I have other financial obligations, as the reason why I was denied. I faxed my wife's Navy Federal statement proving that our household income is just shy of 100K. This includes large amounts of non-taxable income, so this would require the underwriter to perform a gross-up calculation. My wife just received a raise as well, so I see no excuse for NuVision underwriters to deny my request for a simple credit limit increase.

California is experiencing the worst outbreak of COVID-19 cases so normal policy/procedures should be reviewed. I called NuVision and explained what I needed. They were very cold and stated my limit is $550 per day. They said they could increase it to $1,000 one time a year based on an emergency. I think COVID-19 qualifies but apparently they don't. I went to the ATM to withdraw and the machine said I was over my limit and could only do the $540 (machine gives out $20 increments so I couldn't even get out the $550). Now they are saying this will count as my 1 time a year increase. I am extremely upset for the waste of my time and NON-CONSIDERATION of NuVision for what is going on in the world. My other bank automatically increased my withdraw and I have been with NuVision for over 16 years.

So on July 17th with rates at historic lows my wife and I decided to refinance our original home loan and our second loan into one loan, and of course our bank of choice was Nuvision Federal Credit Union. With already having our original loan and second loan with Nuvision we were told we were a slam dunk. We had excellent credit and our income far surpassed what was required. Upon reviewing our finances and employment records we were told we would have no problems at all. Unfortunately, this was the last time I had a conversation with anyone from Nuvision that had any measure of honesty to it. In the end our loan took almost 6 months to complete and my credit was ruined due to a late payment on our 2nd mortgage which we were refinancing. I asked about making the payment and they stated that we will have the loan documents signed by that time.

I bought a car from a reputable dealership. The lender on my purchase agreement was a well-known bank, not Nuvision. After a month, Nuvision contacted me for my insurance details. I complied, adding them as lien holder unaware they were my lender. I changed my policy promptly. When paying my next installment, Nuvision claimed my payment increased due to their insurance purchase, demanding three months' premium because my deductible was $1500, exceeding their $1000 limit. I wasn't informed of this, nor did I receive any insurance terms or paperwork from Nuvision. I never signed any agreement with them. Efforts to discuss this with a manager have been unmet, with no callbacks. Despite updating my insurance, Nuvision insists I pay for their policy and threatens to impact my credit. The original agreement states changes must be in writing, which I never received.
