Telephone customer services
I had been calling since Tuesday I waited Two hours until 5 pm and no one picked up.
Yesterday I Im called again all day every hour been on hold waiting and no one is picked up ..its ridiculous !
it is important that I speak to someone regarding an interim change that applied and can not go through with it ,So I want to cancel it ,so it don’t affect my voucher as per the letter I received
So Today I called again after waiting two hour and half someone finally answered the phone I explained to her the situation she said its not going to affect my voucher if I don’t want do the interim change not to do it” . Then she started to be very rude and aggressive to me ,because I told her what the letter says if I don’t submit the requirements needed.. smh
Aside what I had to go through to speak to someone this lady had the nerves to speak to me so rudely and unprofessional when all I needed was a straight answer
Claimed loss: Days, Hours waisted of not be able to talk with someone from NYCHA ,CCC
Desired outcome: I will like this issue to be resolve where either have a better answering service or hire more people to serve as customer service , is really frustrated to wait for so long for some to pick up the calls or don’t pick up at all

My name is N. A NYCHA worker on my ring camera was seen trying to twist my door knob and step foot into my residence without knowledge. No knock at the door. If you look closely at the video he makes sure nobody is coming or watching and you can hear him twisting my door knob in the camera

Maintenance
Since last year I have been submitting tickets to have my apartment inspected, as the paint is peeling, cracking, and falling off the walls throughout my apartment. My floors were tested and came bcak positive for lead. I have attempted numerpus times to contact my housing assistant and they tell me I have to wait for vendors. I would like immediate help with this situation. My tickets remain open, and some have been closed without explanation. Thank you. I can be reached at [protected]@hotmail.com

Plumbing contractors
Since theday I moved in 3 years ago during the pandemic, everything has seemingly been harder than it should have to be. I have 3 disabilities and as someone considered at risk, I find myself hiding out and not wanting to deal with the types of workers you have been hiring, and not wanting to leave my apt because outside is always covered with dog mess or...

Read full review of NYC Housing Authority [NYCHA]Tenant 15a
We reside on 13a, the tenant of 15a continues to leave his water running and flooding our apartment. This happened three times this year. We complained to NYCHA building management and they're afraid to take action.
Our furniture has been damaged personal belongings damaged electronic damaged. The water flows thru our floors. MOLD sets in and the smell of mildew fills the apartment.
The water running behind the walls can cause a fire if it comes in contact with live wires behind the wall or ceiling.
Desired outcome: Tenant removed from 15a placed in a first floor apartment.
Endless construction
Construction around our building began before pandemic. Last 1.5 years they do nothing but scaffold is there and construction materials are in the open air. There are no construction workers around. It's difficult to go around the block to get parking lot.
A lot of homeless and addicted people are loitering around scaffold. There are a lot of garbage around it. People are picnicking and barbequing under scaffold in front of building.
Please finish this protracted construction.
Section 8 tenant not paying rent.
My name is AL Bynum. I am a landlord and have been for over 15 yrs. I rent my 3-bedroom apt to a section 8 tenant. He is the worst. He decided to stop paying his portion of the rent and when I speak to people at the call center, they tell me that it is nothing that they can do which is unacceptable. You guys need to take care of the landlords better than what you do. Just because we own a house doesn't mean that we are rich. My brother is a real estate agent, and you should see the list of section 8 tenants that he has, and nobody wants to take then because you guys are unfair, and you help the tenants screw us landlords over. It's very sad. If you guys were to reach out to me. I have a ton of ideas that would make section 8 better and it would work out for the tenant as well as the landlord. my email is [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Tenant should have some type of consequences for not paying their rent.
Toilet uninstall/ kids unable to use toilet
This morning my toilet was removed to build my bathroom wall. The work finished around 3pm it's now 6:40pm and someone was supposed to come back and reinstall my toilet. No one came to install my toilet. I have a house full of kids and we can't use our toilet. I've never seen such horrible service from this Super who is suppose to oversee her workers and make sure the jobs are done.
Desired outcome: Reinstall toilet

Apt # 3A
The oldest son and his friends sit in the hallway of the building every single day and night smoking weed and drinking alcohol. They also make a mess in the building leaving cups and weed paraphernalia strewed all over the steps and ground of the hallway every single night it is the same thing. The family knows what is going on and does nothing to stop it. This family is a menace to the entire building.
Desired outcome: To get this to stop, or get them out of the building.
Case #9974239 / selected #124.004.06k
Hello, my name is Miguel Vasquez & I am concerned over the fact that It’s been 14 months (April 2022) since I signed a lease & pay 2 months payments for an 2-room apt at the “White Houses” managed by Wilson Consolidation. My cases numbers are described within. There’s been much communication via by e-mail & phone to follow up on status as to when I can move in. The many calls to Wilson Consolidation has been a waste because the answer is always the same: “someone will call you when apt is ready…” Now today, June 22nd, I was told they have no record of payments made. I have the receipts and other as proof. I am requesting that an investigation be opened to this matter. Where does my apt stands, where did the payments go to? It’s been 14 months that I am waiting. I am homeless. Please help. I paid & did all the right procedures. Again, I need the attention to this matter.
Desired outcome: Obtaining the apt I rightfully paid for and signed a lease for. Moving in asap.
Customer service
I have given section 8 several phone calls at all hours and no one answers the phone . Today I literally stayed on hold 4 hours and 37 minutes for them to answer the phone and then hung up on me . This is non sense you can’t get any help from anyone at customer service because one doesn’t know anything and the others transfer you to people who know nothing . I put in a portability request and have yet to hear anything hence me calling them and staying on hold for 4 hours . Someone needs to assist with this customer service non sense !
Desired outcome: Portability completed !

Transfer, putting someone on lease, harassment
The housing assistant refused to lower my rent but instead raised it 3 times higher with no income. NYCHA Tilden Houses Intercom
At 340 Dumont Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11212. The Intercom on the building entrance does not work, giving error messages when you try to call your unit for entry; locking out many tenant especially in dangerous times such as night. Many times in the winter intercom does not work. Other times you press intercom buttons and it has no respond or even get stuck.
Desired outcome: communicate with tenant to see, who needs keys for buildings. make an effort to give residents and tenants keys. Inspect and maintenance intercom regularly
Manhattan family partnerships
The current Borough Administrator Lauren Antoine is a piece of work. She nitpicked every step I took, eavesdropped my conversations with other colleagues, and got very passive aggressive with me in person and on the phone when no one was around. Never sent me work emails with clear work directives, but instead called me multiple times including my personal cell phone without leaving voicemail. Frequently giving me the side-eye, and nitpicked my office kitchen. I was given a manual book that's more than 10 years old to read about NYCHA policies and shadowed a coworker who spoke Spanish most of the time for 2 days, then I was on my own. I got no support and no constructive directives from her, but she asked about every single detail of what I did and assumed I lied. I actually received a call from her telling me that I was telling the truth. She's a lunatic. I couldn't take it anymore and quit. She feigned innocence and said she didn't know about the program when she was the one who gave me all the details about the senior building at the beginning. Why is this person in a managerial position with 6 figure pay? Is this not corruption? What she cares about the most is hosting food party every month. NYCHA, shame on you.
NYCHA Section 8 CCC
Impossible to get through for a call. You can call at 8:00 exactly and can't get through. You can't go the office without an appointment and appointments are only for submitting paperwork. If you recieve a call, the phone will hangup as soon as you pick up. It can be the first ring. I feel I'm about to lose my section 8. Lock out of annual recertification
Desired outcome: Help with annual recertification log in.
Waiting list annual list/ case # 62756
Please note: a material issue of fact, is that I was approved and selected for a two-bedroom apartment at Robert Fulton houses in 2001; twenty-one years ago. By New York City housing authority's same tenant selection; under a "class action suit". I was not given that choice at all. I was placed in a one-bedroom, which I continue to reside in, as of this date. (Jan, 22, 2023).
So, please explain to me why a waiting list annual canvass case #62756, after 21 years, is being offered to me now?
Another material issue of fact is that (tsap} tenant selection and assignment plan is designed to ensue the housing authority processes applications and transfer requests in a "fair" and "objective" manner in accordance with applicable federal law and regulations. None of this was ever afforded to me at Robert Fulton houses (21) twenty-one years ago.
PS tell me and show me, what should I do now?
Thank you,
Elaine Williams
Desired outcome: RE- OVERDUE WAITING LIST ANNUAL CANVASS/ TWENTY-ONE YEARS
