During Pogo.com's downloadable game weekend sale, I purchased 2 Oberon-media games but when I received the registration keys they did not work. Submitted inquiry to oberon-media support but have not received a reply other than an automated statement saying my inquiry was received and I would be contacted within 48 hours. 48 hours are up, no response. I guess I will have to contact my bank and have payments denied.

I have purchased 2 games this weekend with the same problem. Charged for the games but registration key/email doesn't work. Submitted problem to support and have not gotten a reply other than automated "received inquiry".

I never received an email with registration number after purchase, only had the one Pogo gave at the end of purchase steps. My purchases were on 4/17 and 4/19, tickets submitted to Oberon-media after each one when key didn't work. Today I check email and I have a response from Oberon-media with new keys for both games (these worked this time, yay!) as well as an email from them through Pogo. As everyone knows, when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! LOL I am happy now.

I purchased a game, was billed more than it said I would be then Registration code doesnt work.I've seen by comments online this is not a isolated incident, others have been takenadvantage as well . I have the number am going to be trng to reach. I hear its not easy to get through to them at all.

Oh no, I purchased one to and the key is junk ! I have heard nothing from them. Is there a 800 anyone knows of to call?

I was able to get in touch with Oberon Media and they told me the reg key in the confirmation email is correct. they all said i would get another confirmation email and so will all other customers.hang in there..love my game tho!

Rachel: How did you get in touch with them? All I got was the key that was on the screen after I submitted for purchase and the email I got only had a order number and that the key was on the way, that was saturday. Did you contact them by Phone or Email? Anything would help - Thanks and congrats on getting your Key!

Via email; the reg key on the screen after your purchase had the wrong key so as explained to me, a new key is going out tonight. they said i would receive it as well even tho i already got a new key! hang in there..you're next ;)

Rachel: Okay, I will hold out a little bit more. Maybe they got behind and are finally catching up. How long did you have to wait from time of purchase? I bought the game I wanted on Pogo due to they had 35% off the price...I wonder if it was that?

I hope I get my key too. I went for Ice Cream Craze Tycoon. My brother likes WOW and I prefer the games I dont have to invest a lifetime in! :)

Well I got an email, but I got it from POGO, not Oberon-Media (which was listed on the confirmation email at point of sale). They said:

Dear Gamer,
We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with the registration key(s) for your recently purchased game(s). However, please note that the registration key listed in your confirmation email, also listed below for your convenience, is the correct one.

Game: Ice Cream Craze Tycoon Takeover
Key: XXX

Also, please be advised that if you have been charged multiple times for the same game, a refund has already been completed and you should see it reflected on your next bank statement.

So it sounds like if you purchased from Pogo they are doing something about it. Althought, I NEVER did get the email with the confirmation Registration Key in the first place! Oh well, I will not have a chance to try this out until I get home from work and the kiddos go to bed! I hope it works.
BTW - I really like this board and will continue to use it! The people on here are really helpful

Beware! I've tried 9 times since May 1 to contact these companies from both sites, and I've gotten no response from Oberon-Media and lame answers from Yahoo. What it boils down to, is that I purchased a game, installed it, it crashes in the same spot each time, re-downloaded from link they sent, re-installed, ran DXDiag with no issues found, and still the problem remains. I did the same process 4 times then gave up. They won't honor my request for a refund, and now emails are bouncing back from Oberon with an 'OUT OF OFFICE" response in the subject line.

THIS COMPANY WILL NOT RESPOND AND I'M STILL OUT $19.99 FOR A GAME THAT WON'T RUN (FAULTY PROGRAMMING).

Any ideas of where to turn next for a refund?

First questions is where exactly did you purchase the game from and next, which game did you purchase?

Also, what is your operating system and are all your drivers and your graphics card compatible with the game?

I have a number of Oberon games, and I haven't had any problems with them. If Oberon is not responding to you and the game is compatible with your system then you could try making a complaint on the Rip-off. It gets a lot more attention that this board seems to.

I have been trying to cancel my account for a while now and have been unsuccessful. Sending them emails seems to be like water running off a ducks back. I purchased one game over a year ago and have been trying to get them to quit billing me several months now. Every where I find a place to send a email to them I do not get a response. They keep charging my account and I key giving them my email address. I'M ALREADY MAD AS HELL ! Anybody have a resolution to this problem ?

I am in the same situation, as are plenty of others. There are several different postings of complaints for Oberon on this site alone!

So far, NO ONE has been able to get a resolution.

I have written to the Better Business Bureau and I have sent an (just 1 so far) to the company, and so far I have not received a response from either.

I have it coming out of my debit account, I wonder if the bank will stop allowing them to collect this ridiculous fee...

If you do have contact information to share, and have been successful in getting this scam stopped, please, PLEASE share it.

I think I am also going to write to MSN and Yahoo! and tell them that they are working with a fradulent company.

ON 1/15/10, I PURCHASED A GAME AND I WENT THROUGH THE STEPS TO PURCHASE THE GAME. THEY TOOK MY PAYMENT AND I DOWNLOADED THE GAME, CLICK ON THE REGERSTRATION KEY BOX AND WHEN I PUT IN MY EMAIL AND THE REG. KEY IT TOLD ME THAT IT DID'NT MATCH. DID THIS STEP OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND STILL NOTHING. WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT 24HRS FOR A RESPONSE WHEN IT ONLY TOOK SECONDS TO TAKE MY MONEY OFF MY CARD. THEN THEY DON'T HAVE ANY CONTACT NUMBERS TO CALL...WOW

Oberon -Media withdrew money from my account without my permission. I do not buy games like this and I am ready to call my attorneys to take care of this matter if you don't put my money back right away.

I will be watching for the return of my money. I get an alert when ever my is taken out of my account or deposited into my account. Therefore I know that Oberom-Media took it. You need to get better verification before you remove anyone's money.

I am at my wits end with this company! For at least 6 months now, I have been submitting a contact form to cancel my account with no resolution! In the meantime, they are continuing to charge my bank account EVERY MONTH and I don't even use their website!
It has gotten to the point where I am one step away from filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! If my complaint is NOT addressed and resolved before the next billing cycle I will be forced to do just that! I am generally a patient person until I get taken advantage of and ignored...

Don't wait to contact the BBB! I lodged a complaint with them and it was answered by Oberon within 1 business day-this ironically after a week and a half of no response or "we are experiencing high volumes of mail and your answer will be delayed".

CONTACT the BBB immediately! Oberon charged me twice for a one time game purchase and I never received the key to get the game. After numerous emails and attempted calls to their NY office, I got NO response. I went online to the BBB and lodged a complaint with the details. Miraculously, I got a response and apology from Oberon within 1 business day of the complaints submittal. Do not threaten and do not wait. This company has some shady business practices. Turn it over to the BBB- not only will you get a resolution, perhaps the numerous complaints will cause an investigation into this company and their scamming tactics!

OMG where do I start. Im another victim that accidentally joined their membership & once realized all they said u can cancel but we will charge the full amount u owe for what u have left of ur membership. At that time I was only in about a month and a half so it would have been pricey. angrgy but what could I do. Im not afraid to admit that this is my first computer, this month, (Oct. 2010), will be one year that Ive owned a computer so lots to learn. anyway I accidentally bought like 2 or 3 different games numerous times. i contacted them, (which sucks cuz u can only contact them through the email), and they are so sorry and must be hurting financially cuz they would not refund the money back to my card. They said pick 5 or 6 games send the names to us and we will email u download links, (which do not work worth a S_ _ _, ) and registration keys. they did but I still a good month or more later am trying to get the links to work. and by the second month of membership I have not been able to get into my profile or my games. ive been trying to get them to fix it for months. STAY AWAY FROM OBERON-MEDIA THEY DO NOTHING BUT ROB YOU. OBERON IF U READ THIS U SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YA"LLS CUSTOMER SERVICE WORK ETHIC IT SUCKS. U WILL TAKE OUR MONEY AND THATS THE END. U PEOPLE R SORRY AND I WILL DO ALL I CAN TO SPREAD THE WORD AND HAVE ALL THE PROOF THROUGH MANY MANY EMAILS CUZ UR TO SORRY TO B A REAL COMPANY AND SPEAK TO SOMEONE. THANK U FOR THE LESSON THOUGH. I purchased Bejeweled 3 in July 2011. Cannot open it. I did get a Registration key but can't open the game. I sent an e-mail to Oberon as requested by the company, but never heard from them.

I have been seeing money taken from my checking account and I have not authorized it. i canceled my membership along time ago, please someone help. This is terrible. I am not the only one
