photos/profiles are not who they say they are
I was flirted and the guy wanted my number. His photo and profile was that of a handsome white gentleman. Upon dialing his number he texted from, he wasn't available but I received an immediate call from someone who said he was Nigerian and from Texas. Then the " flirter" called and after a few words I told him he didn't sound like his photo and he hung up. I put two and two together and realized he was another Nigerian scammer and realized I was on to him. Our Time apparently does not check out the people who sign up and only takes money and lets consumers be scammed. Thankfully I was on to it. I DROPPED OFF OF OURTIME! AND WILL CANCEL MY CC THAT IS ASSOCIATED SO I DON'T GET FUTURE CHARGES!
ridiculous
I joined OurTime and immediately got several flirts. I also received some messages, but since I could not read those I decided to pay for the subscription. I actually thought that it was strange, because I received the first messages before I've even filled out my profile and posted my photo. Only later I realized that this website is full of fakes. This site was created only steal money from people. It is a real scam. These scammers need to be shut down! I contacted their customer service and demanded y money back, but received no response. Horrible! I'll definitely report these thieves.
failure to credit for the charge I didn't authorize
Ourtime.com renewed my membership for six months starting December 30, 2015 without prior authorization. On January 1, 2016, I cancelled my membership and requested Ourtime. Com to credit the amount of about $140.00CDN. The company has failed to take action thus far.
do not use ourtime!
This company had the nerve to steal my profile information from another dating website. Then they tried to sell it to me! They filled up my email with some sort of winks and blinks and stars! They even decided which body shape and hair color I have! I They also used my pictures from another website without my permission! I asked them to delete that fake profile, but they refused. I had no other choice, so I bought the profile. It was the only possibility to delete my profile from OurTime. I removed my profile and hopefully now they won't be bothering me anymore.
What the poster claims runs parallel with my experience using the same site - Caveat Emptor!
trial membership and customer service
I too fell under the belief that the trial membership was free. However when I was setting my profile up they offered me a $4.95 weekly charge for their best plan. Like a fool I gave them my credit card and the next screen that popped up showed me I was now on a 6 month plan for 111.76. I tried to find a phone number but to no avail. So I went under my account in OurTime and selected to Account Status. I then chose to contact customer service but the emails kept telling me to go back to the website to handle this. Well that was not going to work for me. I decided to continue to reply to that same automated email form them about 10 times. I called my bank the next morning and disputed the charges. I also went in to the bank to cancel my debit card and complete another form(its not a big deal). The bank told me the company had 10 days to respond to the dispute the charges and if not they would deposit the money back into my account. To my surprise I received a email(2 days after they took the money) telling me they would refund me the money. Now lets hope they do that. I hope this helps anyone else that is looking to get their money back. Also even if its a slight inconvenience to avoid possible future charges, cancel the debit card as well as your OurTime profile. I hope this helps. Here is a copy of the replay from them: Good morning! Thank you for your email today. I am sorry if our Rapid Reply did not assist you. I will be happy to help you with your concern over what you were charged. I apologize if our membership pricing was confusing in any way. On the upgrade page is will show you what you end up paying weekly in a breakdown. However, you are not actually charged weekly. Our monthly special is only applicable when all six months are paid in full. This is stated on our Upgrade page. Otherwise, our monthly rate is higher. Also, each new order is charged our $3.99 processing fee. I have reviewed your account and show you are eligible for a one-time courtesy refund. A refund of $111.75 has been transmitted to your financial institution. It may take your financial institution up to 72 hours to release the funds back to you. For questions when the funds will be available, you would need to contact your financial institution. Since this refund has been processed, your account is now a free account. You may still login to the site as a free member, but you will no longer have access to the paid features such as messaging or Chat. All of us at OurTime.com pride ourselves in providing excellent service and we will continue to make every effort towards achieving that goal. If further assistance is required, please do not hesitate to reply. Enjoy your day! Warm Regards, Karmen Customer Support Specialist Customer By CSS Email
fraudulent "flirts" and "favorites"
Signed up the site 12/7/15 and have received multiple "flirts" and have been "favorited" by numerous men who don't live in my area and have zero in common and then realized that every single profile I've looked at is automatically being sent "flirt" messages although I've never clicked anything except to simply look at profiles. Earlier I got an email to...

I only wanted one month service for $15 not 6 months for $57
I only wanted one month service for $15 not 6 months for $57 I only wanted one month service. You're site is a rip off. I don't want 6 months? Refund my money or you'll hearing complaints from the state attorney general, the federal trade commission, the better business bureau, and my attorney.
unauthorized charge
In October I was charge for another month after I had turned of the auto pay feature in August, I noticed it on my bank account since I had been using the web site. I attempted to contact our time with on results. The instant messaging doesn't work as well as other features of the site. This is a poor example of a dating web site and would not recommend it to any one.
the men who are liars, and emotionally ill, and complaints are ignored!
I've been dating on this site for some time. A man whom I met on the site turned out to be a promiscuous womanizer, a narcissistic liar, and unwilling to be open about his spreading clymidia. I wrote to Our Time about this man after I stopped seeing him, and his phony profile is still there, as is a picture that is at least 20 years younger than his 71 years. I have met professionly succesful men who have exposed obvious mental problems as early as a first date. One proposed to me at the end of our first date, and told family and friends that we were getting married without my knowledge. I told him to seek therapy, but after a month, he called to ask if we could get married now, and outlined a honeymoon that would take me away from my sick mother for a year. When I became frustrated and angry at his presumptions, he became very angry. He lied to try to get me to come to his house. It ended badly. A recent man who I enjoyed dating in the beginning, turned into an obsessive Iranian who was pushing his native land day and night, and spewing hatred for the United States and Israel. I ran from that relationship, and felt confused about ever using Our Time again. Old people are used to their lives as they are, but the dating site does not screen profiles when there are complaints. When someone reports a man spreading an STD that's serious!
paid for service but emails were blocked
I paid for 30 days of service with Ourtime. After 10 days, I noticed that they had me on an auto renew plan so I cancelled it. Immediately, all emails and services on this site were blocked by a "reactivation" message. I sent many emails to customer service asking that the emails not be blocked as I had paid for 30 days of service and had 20 days remaining on my account. I never received a response. In order to read emails, I clicked "reactivate" and they immediately charged my account for an additional 30 days. I feel "ripped" off by this site and was very unhappy with the site, the matches and the customer service (which is pretty non existent).
who I said yes to folder
Sirs, I have tried all methods of getting a way to remove all ladies, from my "Who I Sad Yes To" folder. I find, as a member, since 2002, this situation down right insulting, and hereby, file a formal complaint to you, and request that you immediately install a simple, easy to use, method for your members in good standing, to empty this folder, either a page at a time, or, all at once. As I Said, The situation you have created here, is not only ridiculous, but down right insulting, to all members who want to have control of what is shown in ALL folders, as is their right, and OurTime dragging it's feet on this matter, in absolutely, again, insulting. please respond to me at [protected]@Hotmail.Com and inform first that you have received this formal complaint, and then a second time, when you have installed the simple manner of accomplishing this. It should not be difficult for you to install a bos, to check, and a simple delete, at the bottom of the page, as is in all other folders. There was no mention of complaint in your list, to put in the box below, and it wouldn't continue, without filling that box, so I just put a randome entry there Lynn A. unauthorized auto renewal
I signed up for 1 month of services, had I wanted more I would have chose the 3-6 or 12 month contract! To my surprise they automatically renewed my contract after 30 days using my credit card that was not suppose to be on file. 1st of all the site is a joke as are most of them I suppose, if I wanted a "hook up" I certainly wouldn't be giving it away! I've emailed them asking them to reverse the charges since they are still pending as well as advising them they would be charged any overdraft fees incurred. My bank will handle this so I'm not really worried if they reverse it or not, just an inconvenience. A valuable lesson learned!
No customer contact . No phone #, no support terrible
being charged $44+ dollars, which I did not agree to
I've just read the complaint board...I'm right up there with all the other complaints...After being charged $44+ dollars, which I did NOT agree to. Wrote to them, stated I wanted my card no. removed. Which you can not do it appears? However, I am now locked out of the site all together...Asks for info, but will not take it...I was writing to a few people and now can not even tell them why I am suddenly NOT RESPONDING...No wonder we seniors are afraid of internet sites...experienced with internet or not... After reading all the other complaints, I can't believe nothing has been done. Maybe we should all ask AARP to set up a site...At lest regulations would be in place...What a shame, a site like this could be a welcome place for many seniors...
billed $115.06 for renewing my subscription without my consent.
A dating site that was free to become a member. Could upgrade with a subscription discount for approximately $60. So I decided to try it. Now a year later without my consent, I am being billed $115.06 to my charge. Their site says contact customer service if you need too but there is no phone number. I tried to go to my account but can not get in. They say no problem, change your password. Now they want my charge card number in order to be able to get new password. Never heard of that before and I will not give my card number again. Something smells fishy! They say I can call them ( no number) but if I get rude, upset or use a treating tone, I will be canceled and no refund. Also since they already charged me, I can't get a refund till the new subscription runs out but I can then cancel before they renew it again but they don't tell you when that is. If I get the charge reversed by my bank, then I will not be entitled to any refund and my account will be canceled forever. (One can only hope). After reading all the other complaints, there is no point in trying. I will call my charge card from CHASE, they have never let me down when it's obvious I am being scammed.

bogus flirts and messages sent to entice payment of fee
Immediately after I signed up, Ourtime.com sent several men flirts and other messages and made it appear that they were from me. I do not know how many men received these bogus messages; I only know about the ones who subsequently sent messages to me. That is because the chain of flirts and messages is visible in member-to-member communications. People who pay money after receiving fraudulent flirts and messages have been defrauded and robbed. I will be reporting this to the State's Attorney General where I live and if this happened to you, I suggest you do the same. Also, if any civil litigators are reading this, please consider investigating to confirm these allegations and then filing a class action suit.
hhow to stop any further charges to my credit card and to get off of this sit
I have been searching for well over 3 hours how to contact our time to cancel any future charges to my credit card. I never Saw any free trial period as advertised instead I was asked for a credit card. I have used other dating sites without problems, however I cannot seem to find out how to get out of this sites. There seems to be no real phone number for customer support. Please if you can help me I would appreciate it!. This site is very difficult to use and even harder to get out of! Please help me!
unauthorized charges on credit card
In March 2015, I realized Ourtime is a disastrous dating site. The matches were horrible. I was embarrassed that I’d ever signed up! So – I removed my profile information, cancelled my account, was careful to turn off the automatic renewal, and removed my credit card information from the Ourtime site. In August a charge for a six-month renewal ($145.90) was processed on my credit card. Connecting with Ourtime using the information their site provides is impossible. Finally I found the phone number listed on this Complaints Board. The woman on the phone said even though I followed all their steps to cancel my account, removed all my information and turned off the automatic renewal - the account was only “hidden”. She then said, even though the account was in “free account” status, the automatic renewal had not been turned off and so the charge was valid. I know I turned the automatic renewal off – but she said I didn’t. Eventually, she said, as “a courtesy” Ourtime will refund 5 months but will not refund the full amount. Supposedly the refund will be processed within 72 hours. If anyone is thinking about using Ourtime – my advice is – don’t do it!
fraudulent charges
I signed up for fee trial and of course the free trial doesn't give you any access to people by chat. So every time you sign in they are making you offers to subscribe, after a month of this I decided to sign up for one month at a discount of $14.95. Well surprise, they charged me for 6 months for $57 dollars! I immediately filed a dispute with my credit card company as I did not authorize a $57 charge. Unfortunatly, they are so sneaky, I am sure there is some dark, slimy way they have covered their behinds so I will never see a refund.
