I must commend Chris in customer service. He was amazing. Chris was super helpful and made sure that I got my credit back so I could buy my new phone. I was really impressed with how quickly he responded and how he went above and beyond to help me out. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience with OzMobiles and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new phone. I got myself an ex display iPhone 6s plus from OzMobiles a few months ago and I was chuffed with the phone and the delivery time. The phone was in tip-top condition, not a scratch or a mark on it. However, during my holiday overseas, the camera started shaking and my photos were coming out blurry. I got in touch with OzMobiles to let them know and they asked me to send the phone back for a check-up. They promised to send me a new phone in its place.
Unfortunately, they didn't have any ex display models available at the time. They gave me a few options to choose from. I could either get my phone fixed with a 2-week turnaround, select a replacement from their website with an extra $20 allowed, or accept a good condition phone with a refund of the extra cost I paid for the ex display model. I was a bit nervous, but I decided to go for the good condition phone. I'm so glad I did! The phone was in excellent condition, just like the first one. No scratches, bumps, or anything.
I'm also happy to know that if I find any problems with this phone, their warranty system works really well. I've been impressed with the quick responses to my emails, the great advice and help I received from the staff, and the speed of delivery of my replacement phone. I'm so pleased I found OzMobiles. I paid $400 for an LG V20 that was supposed to be in as-new condition, with the factory plastic still on it. However, when it arrived, there was no factory plastic on it (which wasn't a huge deal, since I bought a screen protector and case anyway), and the box was torn open at the bottom. Before I even took it out of the cardboard sleeve to open it up, my phone went sliding out of the bottom and hit the floor, causing damage to the bottom corner. To make matters worse, the specially designed Bang & Olufsen headphones that were supposed to come with the phone for use with its excellent HiFi quad DAC were not in the box. The earbuds for them were in there, but not the actual headphones themselves.
Naturally, I contacted OZ Mobiles about this issue. However, they only communicate by email, and their customer service representative, Chris, told me that the headphones were not listed as coming with the phone, and that they weren't sent because the previous owner had used them and then kept them. I was confused - I thought this was an ex-display phone? But apparently, according to OZ Mobiles, phones that have been briefly owned by other people are considered ex-display, even though that is obviously disingenuous. They describe them as such rather than as pre-owned, which would be more accurate. They also prefer to imply by omission what things aren't included in your purchase, rather than just explicitly stating that something like specially made designer headphones aren't included. That way, when you want to return an item for not being how they described it, they can charge a 15% restocking fee and make an easy $60 off you. Provided, of course, that the item wasn't damaged by falling out of the unsealed box they sent it to you in. If it was, tough luck.
Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience with OZ Mobiles. The phone I received was not in the condition that was advertised, and the customer service I received was unhelpful and dismissive. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking to purchase a phone.

Despite this, the phone worked great until I upgraded the IOS a couple of months later and received a warning that it wasn't an authentic iPhone display and that it would not be honored by Apple for warranty purposes. Although this was upsetting, the phone still seemed to work okay.
Then, about a month ago, the phone developed a line through the center of the display. It was weird as it seemed to come and go. Eventually, the phone seemed to have a mind of its own, and I couldn't control the screen, and some areas of the display didn't work. I reported this issue to OZmobile, and they issued a return number. However, there was a statement that they wouldn't accept a cracked glass, but I assumed this was referring to the front display. The small crack on the back would not have caused any issues with the screen/display and software. I even attached photos to show the condition of the phone.
I sent the phone in, and today I received notice that they will not honor the warranty. I have a phone that I paid approximately $700 for, and it doesn't work properly through no fault of mine. This is ridiculous, and I will be taking this up with the department of fair trading, as this is unacceptable.
