delayed baggage
Hello
I want to register a complaint on behalf of my father and company against the delay in baggage that took place in a Pakistan International Airline flight from Karachi to Madina PK-743 on 15th January 2020 when my father was travelling along with his friends for Umrah for 10 days.
Right after the incident my father filed a complaint at Madina airport when no satisfactory reason was given why did it happen and the complaint form was given to him and he was told that it has been registered and will be sorted earliest possible but unfortunately nobody responded to it even after 4 days due to which he had to suffer a lot as all his belongings including medicines were in that baggage.
My father had to suffer a lot as he had no extra clothing and daily living items were all in that bag and despite calling to the PIA head office several times in Karachi as well as in Medina no body responded satisfactorily.
My father is diabetic and hypertensive for which he is on medications which were unfortunately all in the baggage which resulted in his missing of his daily dosing of medicines for 4 days putting him at risk of certain health issues due to raised blood pressure and uncontrolled diabetes.
The similar problem was faced by the other friends accompanied by my father(unfortunately two of them were diabetic and off medications) and more than 50 other passengers in the same flight.
After several calls being made to the PIA centres he received his luggage on 4th day the 18th of January 2020.
This is completely unacceptable and equivalent to a torture to keep a person without his belongings and medicines for more than 4 days in a chilly weather and at a place where he had no known relatives/ friends or any sort of assistance.
Flight details are

schedule change of flight was changed without informing
My wife Itrat zahra naqvi was traveling by PIA from oslo to islamabad on 2nd november 2019 by flight nr.pk772 with confirmation nr, cxwkn2.depature time was 7, 50 pm from oslo.we live 2 hours drive from the oslo airport .when we arrived at oslo airport we shocked to listen that the gate has been clossed .we were answered that flight shedule was changed one week ago.we had to come back from a long distance.this was quite disturbing for us because my wife was travelling to our sons marriage.we came back changed the ticket and traveled on 06th.november 2019.Pia did not informed us about the change of flight scedule. The same process was revealed when we both was comming back from lahore by flight nr.751 from lahore on 04th.dec.2019.we came to the lahore airport to take flight to oslo and again got no information from PIA that the shedule is again changed.now the flight will leed from islamabad to copenhagen not from lahore.we were not informed again and PIA had both our telephone numbers of Norway and pakistani phone number also.we got embaresed and changed the ticket and came back on 07th.dec.2019.I had important meetings related to my job.we missed three days and we were not given any hotel or any compensation.we were totally helpless in lahore.this kind of actvities is very harmfull for the pia and the passengers.any way we have decided never to travel by PIA.
luggage missing
Dear PIA,
My colleague traveled to Pakistan on November 03, 2019 (Sun) on FLIGHT: Abu Dhabi to Peshawar (PK218) but as of 07th November, he didn't receive his Luggage. this is not good that you travel on a date and don't get your belongings in 04 days. We love traveling on PIA but such kind of act hearts the feeling and love that we have for our Country institutes
cabin crew
The cabin crew were so rude to me and my family. We were flying from Manchester to Islamabad and my mum did not feel like eating the food and they were forcing her to eat! How dare they! I will take it to the authorities about this. I am a solicitor and will be filing a law suit. Also, once we all ate we had to pick the trays up ourselves and then give it back to the cabin crew. The standard was really poor. I am very disappointed and will not be flying with this disgraceful airline again!

flight from islamabad to the uk
On the 07/09/2019 my wife along with my 2 children (1 infant 1 child) was booked, with a confirmed flight and seat number for a flight from Islamabad to the UK.
My cousin and her children were also traveling on the same flight and they gave their passports as a group at the checkin desk. My cousin along with her children were her children were allowed to board but my wife was not allowed to board being told that she was late. The were their well before 2 hours and my cousin who came at same time wasn't late but my wife was told she was late and would need to rebook her ticket and that too at the full price. People behind her were allowed to board yet she was told she was too late. Upon complaining she was given another reason that the flight was full. How could the flight be full when her seats had been confirmed and allocated to her.
After the staff just wouldn't listen besides her numerous pleading and she had to leave and met up with brother outside the airport they tried to complain. This had happened to a number of people there and it wasn't just her. Upon enquiry it seems that the passengers for the flights that were cancelled in Lahore and were forced to come to Islamabad are being sold pia seats that have already been sold, payed for and booked. The ticket remains on the name of the original person who booked it but they are shown as being a 'no show' but these other passengers for lahore are boarded onto the plane after taking an extortionate amount of money from them. Then the people whos seats they sold are being told they came late even though they didn't and are forced to rebook another flight at full price of the ticket. This is an elaborate scam that all members of this corrupt airport staff are involved in.
I am absolutely livid at the corrupt PIA who didn't even care that a lady with a baby and a child is being stranded in another country when her family (me) are waiting abroad. Believe me if i was there i would have ripped their heads off and rear naked choked them out. Is this honestly the respect for women and travellers that these people have. They were being charged £3500 pounds for two tickets. Firstly, even if it was a genuine no show rescheduling the flight should cost a couple hundred pounds. Secondly, when they were complaining all they were told was just pay the £3500 pounds and it will be over. Like they have that kind of money in their pocket and like its nothing. The PIA policy states that if your refused due to overcrowding of flight and denied boarding then the flight will refund the full money and pay %50 for damages and pay overnight accommodation. Of course thats why they have to pretend its a no show so they don't have to pay. Its all good having a policy, you can say whatever you want on it if you never intend to actually fullfil it.
It goes without saying this is a bad way to run a business and I know that I won't be using PIA anymore - Unless i'm refunded and these airport staff are audited and reviewed which to be honest i have no confidence will ever happen. I'm doubting theres any point in writing this complaint as i've lost complete faith.
I'm going to upload images and videos and if I don't here back i will send the videos, images and other evidence to youtube on my channel and I will send to samaa tv and tweet the transport minister and Imran Khan. So please respond.

check pia ' s worst system glitch
MY name is A. Ghaffar, we husband & wife booked first time ever our vacation trip thru PIA from Toronto to Kualumpur Malaysia via Pakistan where we stayed 7 days from 31st Aug-07 Sept, this morning when arrived Karachi airport to get Kualalumpur PK 896 @ 06:00 am flight, we came to know there is no such flight as it was suspended months ago due to airspace closure by Pakistan, kept talking to PIA staff & our booking agent hrs & hrs .None of them helped us & tried to help for next step. PIA blaming our booking agent & agent saying all flights were confirmed by PIA. They never informed about suspension of flights for Malaysia & even there is nothing about it on their website, the PIA is responsible for this big glitch & blunder but none of their o nduty officers realised that what kind of mental, physical & financial stress we having right now. We again called taxi & came back to our hotel in Karachi. We will never ever take NATIONAL AIRLINE PIA after this worst experience. It all happened due to lack of training & bad customer services, they just saying you can claim for refund with PIA but not telling how we going to get our other destinations, our hotels were booked for Kualalumpur & Bali, our vacation days got ruined, how about our return flights from Malaysia to Lahore by PK 897 & than Karachi, even PIA confirmed 1 night hotel stay in Lahore as well when coming back to Karachi' s stay. Very disappointing & heart wrenching situation for us as we thought to take our airline, if had been other airlines, they would've helped us by compensating us other options but PIA confirmed now that they will be worst for ever & will never change till unsupportive & untrained people are there. IS THERE ANY RESPONSIBLE / AUTHORISED PERSON TO SOLVE IT? Our confirmation # on itinerary is C2X3VU .
boarding pass for inf issue
Could not forget my bad experience with PIA yesterday normally i don't mind little thing during traveling and try to be flexible but this time it become over the limits.
I was traveling with my 10 months daughter and i assume infant seat are for them anyway and person on the boarding trying convince me that i have to pay extra charges for it at one point i agreed and paid him, luckily i saw my tickets number and realized they were not in order, i asked the person please put them togather and he refused and told me u paid for one seat which was very annoying, i suppose infant get seat automatically and i paid for my one.
Anywaz i told them give me a refund and will manage in a normal economy seats, that great person had given us 64E and 64D right at last with bathrooms, and u can imagine how difficult it become with us to hand when my baby was at sleep and that corner become noisey during all my flight.
" i believe that person had dilberately given us that poor seat because of that little argument over the infant seat price"
I hope this complaint make other traveler's experience good with PIA.
seat allocation in advance
I have just bought the pia tickets to Islamabad and am trying to reallocate my seats before travelling but unable to so which is not helpful at all. Every airline allows you to re allocate seats of your choice but for whatever reasons its stopped by pia.
I have been advised by friend that you can book seats but only through pia office and they charge £6 per person, is this true then surely this can only happens in Imrans government and what a new Pakistan.

cancellation of flight
Dear PIA Team,
I had flight on 14th of August 7.00 am from Islamabad to Karachi and than to Heathrow (London). On my arrival to Islamabad airport, I been told that my flight to Karachi was cancelled for an unknown reason and so I missed the flight from karachi to Heathrow. I had offered another flight at 3.00 pm from Islamabad to Manchester airport which I accepted as I had to reach to work next day.
The cancellation of my original flight has given me alot of troubles, as i have to wait for another 8 hours to stay in hotel at islamabad and than when i arrived at Manchester i have booked a taxi cost me £15 to piccadilly bus station where i have paid another £60 at 12.00 am to take me to high wycombe Handy cross station the next day at 7.00 am where I am originally live.
If I had the original flight, I should be at home at 5 pm the latest but I got home the next day at 7am which has cost me an extra £150 altogether plus an extra day of tired full journey.
I was not happy with service I have received and I would like to be compensated for what I have been through.
Thank you.

non cooperation of terminal manager-mr. ramesh kumar jinnah terminal karachi
Dear Sir,
This incident happened on Sunday 18th August 2019 at 03:00 AM at Karachi-Pakistan airport.
The day was very busy at the airport, we reached to the airport and saw number of people are standing in the queue.
ASF staff was trying to control but totally failed and people are fighting with them,
more over C.A.A also playing a strong part to miss managed the crowd.
We stayed in queue more than hours and hours and there was no positive response from security and C.A.A.,
we requested many times that we will be missed our flight PK-731 departure time 05:30 AM but nil cooperation from them.
scanner are also slow and no management from C.A.A and ASF.
Finally we reached to the PIA counter inside the airport at 04:24 AM but Mr. Ramesh Kumar Terminal manager miss behaved with us and refused us to checked in on PK-731. Please note still there was 01 hour and 06 minutes reaming to close the flight.
As per our information later the same flight depart at 06:00 AM.
We requested him a lot to carry us on the flight but he continuously reluctant and showing his bad manners to treat all passenger.
We were 10 people missed the flight, Four of us writing this complain, we wrote complain at the same time on paper and ask Mr. Ramesh to receive by himself, we further went to C.A.A and registered our complain, moreover, we met with commander Najeed of ASF (ASF on duty commander) and requested him for cooperation but no result.
Ramesh was so confident that nothing will be happened with these type of complains but C.A.A. and ASF commander gave us good response.
We further attached our registered complain copy received by Mr. Ramesh Kumar and C.A.A complain copy to follow.
We all four living in Jeddah and demand PIA management to terminate Mr. Ramesh Kumar for humiliating passengers and refund our tickets without any deduction or compensate the travelers of this complain due to botheration faced at the airport.
We further plan to lounge our complain to Prime Minister Complaint cell to follow our compliant related to PIA staff.
It's seems that P.I.A staff intentionally miss behaving with Pakistani passengers to show Naya Pakistan to overseas Pakistani. You can check complain register with other complain of this miss management at Airport and attitude of Staff.
Looking forward to strong and immediate action against responsible staff.

Two Bags & One Zam Zam Bottle
I was holding return ticket from lhe-ruh-lhe and was travelling on 8th august 2019 from riyadh to lahore by pk726. I presented two bags of 24 kg & 16 kgs. With one zam zam bottle. The pia official at the counter insisted to make both bags total 30 kgs whereas 40 kgs weight is allowed on return journey. During this dispute & insisting of the official both bags were made 16 & 14 kgs respectively. In the mean time one bag was gone through without the tag & two tags were issued to me one for my bag & other for zam zam bottle. Third tag was not issued to me despite of repeated requests to the pia official. In reply he told not to worry bag will be delivered to you at lahore airport.
The major incident was took place on my arrival at destination (allama iqbal airport) lahore when i found my both bags & zam zam missing & not traceable despite of my best efforts.
Tag nos. Are pk160867 & 160870 for bag & zam zam bottle whereas the third tag was not issued to me (the bag was gone through without tag during dispute between me & the pia official.
Kindly look into the matter & trace my two bags with zam zam bottle & intimate to me as soon as possible. (tags are attached)

business check in — shame
I was shocked to see SHAFARSHI economy passengers with a porter ... jumping queue on PK 709 to BHX at 9am on Islamabad airport.
Inspite of making noise, she continued.
I had booked on line 3L seat. But WITHOUT TELLING ME she changed it to 3E.
Why is such MALPRACTICE allowed and we expect PIA to do well again. Impossible. CEO sahib...dont waste ur energy on a lost cause. جزاك اللهُ خيرً

luggage allowance
Me and my wife were travelling from Dubai to Khi via flight EK 224 for Eid on 11th Aug. There is nothing mentioned on the Ticket for the lagguage that there is only 01 Piece is allowed. How on the Earth anyone would know that. We were well below the 30+30 kg Allowance and only had 03 pcs. There was PIA Guy at the check in counter who was asking for 150AED. Everybody was annoyed. Please mention on ticket only one piece is allowed so people dont get frustrated. And just before check in they bring this weighting scale to check hand carry. It's like you bring new idea to screw people. Please make these little thing known to people. No wonder why people dont prefer their national airline. Horrible first time travel experience.

Mr. Tahir Chohan,
Regarding 15/01/2020 PK743 flight Karachi, PK to Medina, SA.
1. The international civil aviation law allows the son (daughter) to appeal to the court or to the similar authority against the damage caused by the air carrier on behalf of his father only, if the son or the other relative has a power of attorney (written for a judge) of the passenger, whose name is seen in the ticket or in baggage check (tag).
2. The visible evidences show that the complaint regarding the missing luggage was filled with the PIA agent at the airport. Though, the text of the complaint does not disclose the nature of the loss, that looks an illegal practice of the management of the PIA carrier.
3. The air carrier's duty is to deliver the registered baggage of the passenger to the hands of the passenger without causing additional substantial inconveniences. In 21 days following landing of the flight the registered luggage is considered lost forever, if it is not back in the hands of the legal owner.
4. The duty to assist the passenger, who suffering loss of his/her luggage is one of the air carrier, who had taken the luggage for an air transportation. The duty to resolve disputes between the passenger and the air carrier lays on the magistrate court and on the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority in the Islamic State. The rules of Sharia can be applicable irrespective of or in parallel with a decision of a civil authority in the dispute, if the Pakistani national suffered substantial damage of persona nature (health care).
