This is a complaint against the harrasment by the custom officers of Trivandrum International Airport. After security checks, I was called by a lady custom officer in the name of Random checking and asked to remove all my clothes including the inner wears. I was on my menstruation period and I refused to remove my under wear as I was bleeding. Asking to remove the garments in the name of the so called random checking itself is a shameful and disrespectful act. In addition to that she said she need to check my sanitary pad as well. Is this called the random checking ? Is this the role of a custom officer ? Isn't this is the exact way of using the helplessness of a young girl traveling alone ?
After her checking, she harrased verbally by asking so many personal questions. It was totally a physical, mental and verbal harrasment.
I need a clear explanation from the department that on why this checking was for ? And how this random checking become so harrassing and humiliating without any proper input or information? I had travelled through many airports before and this was my first embarassing experience from the authorities. I feel ashamed on the custom authorities treating the passager without any professionalism and manners.
I expect a clear explanation for the concerns mentioned above.

Dear Trivandrum airport Authority
I am very upset by the poor baggage service provided by the Trivandrum Airport Authority.
I travelled from Abu Dhabi to Trivandrum on 22nd July 2022through Air India. When I received my baggage it was broken
It has become a continuous experience for us with the Trivandrum Airport to receive broken luggage.
We were excited with the new management taking over and expecting good services to citizens, but it has been disappointing to say that the service provided remains the same as what it was when the government was managing.
Therefore I would request the authorities to handle the passenger baggage with more care as each baggage is really valuable for passengers.

Car parking free time
I was entring in terminal 2 international on 9.5.22 3:52AM and exiting time 4:05AM . they have charged 30 rupees. If rule per 15 minits free time of terminal 2 international entry and 10 minits free of time domestic terminal entry ..
Regarding the aggressiveness of the securities in the parking lots

I have seen one incident that the security guards act like goondas to a customer
Frankly speaking they are very arrogant and forming a group in the parking lots expecially in 5th and 4th pay very bad service from the I have gone through so many of the airports but I have never seen an incident like this very bad condition in this airport

High price of food products
Today I had my flight to UAE, on the way I just have one milk tea and one egg puffs, surprisingly the bill amount came to be 210 Rs. What is this? For just one milk tea 150 rs, which is not acceptable. We can buy 2 litres of fresh milk with the amount of that tea. And for the egg puffs, what's the price outside, we can buy more than 3 with that amount. People who will passby the airport will of course have some water or tea because of the current covid situations, as we have to be in the airport too early. Do something.

Crowd management during covid times
There is mandatory e-pass checking after arrival of the domestic terminal. Although no effort was seen in the management of the crowd or the mainitaing social distancing what so ever... It was like the crowd for the tickets of some blockbuster movies in a theatre... With only 4 counters and no system for the smooth flow of the crowd... Very disappointed.
Nescafe vending machine service near Gate 4
Nescafe served with cups filled with 1/3 rd water and after he is pressing the machine..means coffee is mixed with hotwater and charges Rs100/cup which I feel is not reasonable .. a price tag should be displayed and customer must get better quality for the purchase and not what they mix with unhygienic water contents. This is not good for the international airport to ignore such activities..

charged 100 instead of 85
I had parked by Suzuki Ciaz for 20 minutes in Trivandrum airport parking. I Should have been charged 85 for parking as it was below 2 hours, but I was charged 100 and received a bill which is the fee for SUV or Tempo. I had asked about this to the person in the counter. The price board clearly says 85 for cars if time is below two hours. Please advice.

Hello, I along with my mother booked our ticket on Indigo airline 6E-39 (TVM TO DXB) on 26th September 2019 at 18:10pm. The ground staff a lady took our tickets and checked our baggage. The check in luggage weight was less than the specified and she send our luggages. Later she checked our hand baggage there was 1 kg extra. Later this lady left and another two new ladies joined. For that 1 kg these ladies purposely made us rescan saying our luggage has to be send as check in luggage and not as hand luggage. We told we were ready to pay the extra. Still their attitude were pretty low standard. If only they checked our hand luggage along with check in luagge we could atleast adjust that 1kg in check in. Unprofessional staffs. They somehow want to loot money. They kept commenting unnesscary dialogues. I'm surprised indigo airlines has lowered their standard such low that their staffs behave in this manner. There is not even a complain section nearby. When asked the airport staffs told indigo office is in arrival section and its far. I hope Indigo looks into this matter and upgrade their staffs or least gives them proper training as how to behave professionally to customers.

I have to complain about the indigo customer service. Today my mother is travelling on indigo 6e39 flight evening. Now when she reached for check in she has 30 kg luggage as in the form of a bag and box. And hand luggage as a bag. The persons who are there on the baggage checkin counter forced her to interchange the hand luggage bag with the other one as the size is bigger and weight of both bags are same . But you know in hand luggage we cannot take powdered items or liquid. When my inquired about this the staff told its allowed because we already scanned it. When she reached the to for emigration counter they removed everything in powder form and they told its not allowed . As you know the persons who are coming on visit visa for first time are not much aware of all those things . This is the mistake from your side because your people told her to change her hanad luggage as the size looks bigger but the weight is low.

I had kept my jewellery in the outside zip of my suitcase and someone from the airport crew has stolen it.I checked everywhere in the suitcase outside the suitcase.
I even checked at home and in my Dubai house too.
I clearly remember my baggage took a long time to come out at the baggage area.
Bec of lack of net access and your poor customer service on the phone(who keeps saying call later and doesn't even listen to your complaint) i had to adopt this method of online complaint.
You dont become the best airport by just having solar panels. You become the best airport by hiring trust worthy crew who do their work and not steal.
I need some action to be taken place otherwise will have to take it to the carrier also about poor airport service from the crew and maybe just going to Cochin airport.
As clearly the capital of Kerala has a poor and non trust worthy airport crew.

I was travelling from Trivandrum to Canada via the qatar airlines. The staff at the tvm airport qatar airways counter (they are not the qatar airways staff I believe), were very rude to me.
I was carrying a hand carry on and a laptop bag. They said qatar aiways policy is to carry only 1 carry on and not laptop bag. I saw passengers carry handbags the size bigger than my laptop bag but they said handbags are allowed but not laptop backbacks. I opened my bag and showed them that it had only the laptop and was lighter than a handbag but they seemed adament on a policy which no other airport enforces. Finally i reached out to a friend who was travelling with me on the same flight and he had space in his bag to put my laptop. However the same staff wouldn't let me do that as well and threatened to block all my air travel if I put anything in my friends bag ! They were extremely rude and inconsiderate to me. I finally went with my friend to a different counter and the lady at that counter helped. Unfortunately I dont have the names of the 2 gentlemen who were rude to me, one seemed to be the supervisor as he had no other work than to visit the counters and advise the staff. These officers should be trained to treat customers well and not to create a nightmare for the people who travel long distance who are already upset about leaving their family behind. To those 2 gentlemen who made my boarding from Trivandrum airport a nightmare, hope you found some peace in harassing me. Doing your job and being kind to people goes a long way than strict binding on policy and being rude to enforce your superiority. I travelled between few countries in the past month and this was the only experience that gave me a headache.

kiosk not working and no food counters accepting cards
This was my first travel to Trivandrum airport. Not even a single food counter/ lounge at the end of the gate accepts card, which is highly inconvenient for international passengers. To address this issue I approached a kiosk near the immigration which also isn't working.. Then what's the purpose of a grievance kiosk? such is the state of the airport of the capital of kerala..
