dinner for 2
I made an order at 6:30pm to be delivered by 7:30pm. By 8 pm no one had showed up and called t check where the food was. The manager picked up and said that no one picked up the food and that I should call GrabHub what happened and did not want to take responsibility. GrabHub took a long time to find the order and called Panda Express and 3 drivers to know about, then she claimed to have cancelled it.
1h later driver shows up with an order that was cancelled then calls another hour later.
I called GrabHub again and they called Panda Express (5 hours after the original prder). Panda Express did not want to take responsibility for the delays and my card was charged 3 times. No one in customer service picked up to help and I am here watching my statement for duplicated charges for food I did not have.
food
On 11/15/16 around 7 pm I went to Panda Express (1168) and ordered a 3 meat plate. You were out of Mushroom Chicken and Tso Chicken. I was told it would be 5 minutes. I waited 15 minutes for the Tso Chicken and was told it would be another 4 minutes on the Mushroom Chicken because they were on one Burner. They offered me a different meat but there wasn't many to choose from. He gave me a free soda and that was it. I've NEVER had any bade experience with Panda Express. I love Panda Express until this happened.
not being able to purchase food at opening time
On Sunday 11/13/2016 I had gone to panda at 10:30 am in Fairfield, ca to pick up some rice and chow mein for a lunch party I was having. I had called the previous night and was told no problem that they opened at 10:30 am. When I got there the doors were locked and an employee came out and said, there was no one there to get into the safe for the registers, and they were waiting for them. Well I couldnt wait so I was going to Vacaville, so decided to go to the Vacaville Panda. Well the same thing happened doors were locked and they too were waiting for a person to come and open the safe so they can open? I don't understand does the same person manage both the restaurants? or is this a coincident, I was very disappointed. management in both places not very responsible.

melissa from panda express wrongfully accused me of stealing some soda. I felt attacked and angered by her accusation and called for the mangager.
Santos the Manager stated that he would be speaking to her and agreed that all I had in my cup was water. This is the second time Melissa has confronted me with a false accusation and I want it to stop. I believe she does this because of the color of my skin and for no other reason. I want an apology and feel that she is out of line.
Thank you,
orange chicken
Recently I purchased an orange chicken and rice bowl for dinner at Panda Express. While eating I bit down on a pebble. Immediately I felt several other rock-like items in my mouth and realized I cracked my tooth. I collected the food, hard objects, and receipt and immediately told my family including my father, mother, wife, and two daughters what happened. I had just been to the dentist but I quickly scheduled another appointment to have them assess my tooth’s damage. It turns out I needed my first and only crown. My dentist also said there could be more permanent damage to the roots but he will not know right away. Soon after my appointment with my dentist I contacted the corporate office for Panda Express to let them know, give them the itemized cost for the crown, and ask them to pay for my damage. After several weeks I decided to pursue it again and continued calling and writing e mails. After approximately 45 days the person working on my claim I was able to obtain that Andrew Salcido was assigned to may claim. After multiple voicemails and e mails he finally responded. They asked for several items including an x-ray of my tooth before and after the break. I provided both and the notes from my dentist. I asked if they was anything else necessary was told we will let you know by the end of the week. Several weeks passed and I continue contacting Andrew without response. In late August I received a letter from Andrew Salcido that Panda Express was denying my claim. I also went into the store and spoke to the manager. I showed one of the objects from the food and my receipt and receive one follow up call from Vi Doan who claimed she would look into this but have not heard from them since. My intention is to fight this until I receive only what I am due which is the cost of the crown.
customer service
I visited panda express (Sunset hills, missouri location) yesterday and today (9/5/2016 and 9/6/2016 respectively) and was absolutely appalled at the difference in service I received.
My first visit was with a friend of mine who introduced me to the chain. He ordered first and politely requested that a particular selection be made fresh for him as the option displayed had clearly been sitting there a while. He was accommodated immediately and was served with a smile. I ordered my food and we were both equally pleased.
The very next day I decided to return and order the item my friend had ordered the day prior. I noticed that the dish had mushrooms and politely requested that a fresh order be made for me as I am highly allergic to mushrooms.
The employee at the counter turned and asked the acting manager (Antonio) and his response was, "just pick around the mushrooms when you serve him. " I repeated that I was highly allergic to mushrooms and couldn't eat food that had been mixed with the mushrooms and again requested a fresh serving be made without mushrooms.
His response was shocking... "we aren't allowed to do single servings. "
Well now i'm mad because either he is clearly lying because he happily accommodated my friend the day before for a request that wasn't nearly as serious as mine, he is lazy and didn't feel like doing it or simply decides to make up corporate policy as it suits him.
I said, "well that's simply not true because you made a fresh order yesterday for a friend of mine while I was standing here and there was no mention of any problem whatsoever. " his response was simply that he wasn't going to do it.
So I sat and watched my friend eat as he had already ordered and to add insult to injury, antonio carried on a ten minute conversation with another cook mocking my request and how maybe they should just have to make every order fresh for everyone in a very sarcastic tone - loud enough for me to hear out in the seating area.
It's one thing when company policy dictates actions within a company, but it is entirely another when employees set policy on the fly, mock customers publicly and give a bad reputation to the company that they are representing.
Antonio was spectacularly unprofessional, unaccommodating and outright rude. He has no business interacting with customers and ought to be ashamed of how he represents his employer.
It is entirely because of his unprofessional behavior and his lack concern for customers that I will not visit a panda express again.
Panda Express does not custom make dishes for customers. If you didn't want mushrooms, you should have order Teriyaki Chicken or one of the other half dozen chicken dishes they sell without mushrooms. If a dish has been sitting out for a while a new tray will be made to replace it, but it is not custom made to your specifications (ie without mushrooms) just for you.

small portions/uncaring manager
7/16/16 Taylorsville, Utah store #0611
My husband and I each ordered the 2 entree meals and were so disappointed in the smaller portion size. My brown rice was not cooked thoroughly either. I went back to the counter to order another entree and complained to the manager who was serving me that we were still hungry. She just smiled and said that's why people usually order the 3 entree meal. I said we've always gotten full on the 2 entree and she replied you only get one scoop (our scoops were not full). She discounted that extra entree purchase. How about just offering a free entree or something on our next visit! By the way we won't be going back anytime soon. I went to the counter to order a 2nd extra entree because we were still hungry and just paid full price through a different server that helped me. In the end we paid just over $30 dollars for the meal described with small drinks. Now thats a rip off for fast food for two people!
Managers at Panda do have to manage the amount of food that is served. There are specified portion sizes. Occasionally you will find an employee there who gives larger portions, however once the manager takes notice of that, that employee is likely to be reprimanded. Managers have to answer to corporate and if "food cost" is too high, corporate will reprimand the manager since they are responsible for limiting food cost as well as labor cost to boost profits. If you don't like that, go somewhere else.
People are so used to being gluttonous pigs these days that normal portion sizes seem small to them. A sad state of affairs being that most people in this country are obese.
terrible rotten food!!
Panda Express food is absolutely terrible, so don't waste your money here! I ordered some vegetables and chicken and food was so lousy that I could not eat it! First of all there were lots of vegetables and some of them were rotten. And there was almost no chicken on the plate, only two small pieces and it had that terrible smell! This is the worst fast food restaurant ever! I so regret that I've wasted my money. I will never eat at Panda Express restaurant again!
food preparation
This is the WORST Panda Express I've ever been to (and I've eaten at quite a few) ! I went there tonight near closing; 8:47pm. I ordered string bean chicken and asked for extra onions. There was no string bean chicken on the buffet so he had to make a small order just for me. So, I get my food and there are only like 3-4 peices of onion in the box. I ask the mgr about it and she tells me they cant give me extra onions. I always order the same thing at other Panda Expresses and never have an issue. The workers at this Panda always have an attitude like theyre doing you a favor by serving you food. They are rude and the mgr is just as bad. The food rarely looks fresh; especially near closing time. I wish there was another Panda nearby so when I'm craving string bean chicken I wouldnt have to deal with the assh*les at store #1500! I'm done patronizing this store. It's obvious customer service is way, way, way down at the bottom of their list on how to treat customers... right below the importance of store cleanliness! Did I already say this is the WORST Panda Express I've ever been to ?
forced to wait 30 minutes due to a small request
I asked the server if I could get vegetables as my side dish along with the teriyaki chicken main dish and if I could have my vegetables chopped up a little more while they were chopping up my chicken dish. Instead of chopping up the already cooked veggies for me on a small cutting board they told me I'd have to wait for that request to be dealt with...

rude employee/ very long lines
Hello, I wrote about this on the yelp page but I need to make sure you read what my complaint. I don't know her name but she's a slender woman, Latina, with curly hair at your Van Nuys and Burbank location. Each time I visit this Panda Express location, the lines are long, I mean it's taken up to 20 minutes for me once to get to order my food. At each of...

Panda express, daytona beach, store #2470, Wasted 25.00 on food that has no taste at all, my american rice is 1000 times better and the add-ons, like egg rolls and drinks took it to almost 35 dollars, this food had no asian taste to it at all, their duck dauce which was called plum sauce tasted nothing at all like your traditional duck sauce and their chili sauce had no chili seeds in it at all, it was shirachi sauce, i would never go back to any panda expresses ever again, their food lost its asian taste when they americanized their restaurants.
wait times
Date 4/9/15
Time 1:30pm
Store Number: 1365
Order Number: 250864
Good Afternoon,
On my last survey I voiced my concern about the wait time at Store #1355 in Northlake, IL. After the survey I stated that I would still return to the location even after past issues. I visited the restaurant again today and had some of the same issues.
I was greeted and told that there would be a 6 minute wait for fried rice. After those 6 minutes had passed, I was asked what two entrees would I like. I chose Orange Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken. At that time I was told that there would be an additional 11-13 minute wait for the chicken. So this would make the fourth time that I visited this location and I had to wait for my food longer than 10 minutes.
To make this visit worse, this Panda Express has three flat screen TV’s. On the main screen they were viewing The Blair Witch Project. Also this movie was not edited and the subtitles were on the screen. What this means is that all of the children in the restaurant were able to hear read all of the profanity that the actors were saying. So after that movie went off, Zodiac was the next movie that this station was showing. Before the movie started, the station clearly stated that the movie was rated MA for TV, but none of the employees seemed to mind. So I was “treated” to the first 15 minutes of this movie. If you has never seen this movie, two people, including a young boy are shot is the face in the first 5-10 minutes. I had to have my children choose a booth and turn away from the screen.
I was in your fast food restaurant for over 25 minutes waiting for my order. This is unacceptable. The programing that the store chose to view was unacceptable. I did make a small donation to the CMN Hospital so that was a positive moment of my visit.
I conclusion, I will never return to this or any Panda Express. I will make it very clear to family, friends, co-workers, and social media that this is not acceptable by any standards.
shorted on items paid for
This restaurant consistently gets orders wrong or incomplete. When specifically asked to check my order for completeness, I was told all items were in the sack. They weren't. They're suggestion is to come back and they will provide the items or a receipt. I live an hour away from the restaurant and told the attendant that. I specifically said, I cannot come back and I don't want to come back tomorrow, as I'm counting on this for my meal. I'm aggravated they they consistently do this, say "sorry", not even I'm sorry, and do nothing to fix the problem. They are out of the food items many times, they've reduced their menu, and then most of the entree's require an upcharge. This is ridiculous.
rude employee
ive been dealing with a rude cook by the name of connor mcfarland and he has been harrasing me quite a few times and im finally had enought of his attitude towards me. me and him butt heads because he thinks im a little rambunctious and not focusing on whats important, but when other pepople decide to say hello and greet me? he pushes policy on them too. he...

Upon being hired for Aramark, I was suppose to be working at
croutons but was needed at Papa Johns so I where I was asked to go by
management. The next day I was put in croutons where I was working two cash
registers at one time and preparing food. I was so stressed out that I
literally felt my body tensing and I was not able to work there anymore. I
returned to Papa Johns and asked to be moved from such store because my glasses
were stolen and I did not feel comfortable working in such environment. I was granted
my request to work in Panda Express, because of previous good experience. After
working there for a few days I began to get familiar with Olga, manager, she
seemed nice at first and then just became badgering towards me. She would nag
at me and make me completely uncomfortable and hostile in my place of work. I
asked Olga briefly how I would go about requesting transfer; with in matter of
days I received write up. I then again asked Olga about being able to transfer
again and this time Olga says “well actually employees who have write ups are
not able to transfer to another department or it is more difficult”. I would
consider Olga a horrid manager, as I strongly believe she purposely wrote me up
to hinder my ability to be able to transfer away from her harassment and
hostility. I also made a few employee complaints while working there because of
confrontational issues and conversations about smoking weed in front of
customers. Aramark policy is to be drug free but Robin was blatantly talking
about using drugs while in area where customers could hear. I also told Olga
about rodent issues, roaches. Olga replied with “I already know they are here,
just do not let the customers know and do not let them hear you talking about
them”, I also was approached by another manager Mark who asked me if I was
saying something about the roaches in front of customers and “just as long as
your not saying something to the customers or where they can hear your fine”. I
find such demeanor appalling as University of Florida Alumni and demeaning to
those doing business with company to have such attitude about the health
standards of the food and food preparation area. I reported these violations to
FDA on October 2, 2014 and on 10/06/2014 received response on whom I needed to
contact. I have had to clean roaches out of the ice container and to go
containers. The two shelves on the line do not get cleaned, during the time I
worked there the shelves were only cleaned one day and I was the person who
cleaned them. Aramark, specifically Panda Express, cleaning practices are
unsanitary and unhealthy in violation of health code, more than likely. I have
done some research and I do have other evidence of reports to support my
findings or managements intentionally sabotaging transfers and unsanitary food
practices. The last instance was when I was cashier and I seen roaches crawling
out of the soda machine area, I got my phone and took picture, Olga became
enraged and wrote me up because she said “you can not be taking pictures of
roaches” she did not want proof of such roaches. I was wrongfully terminated as
result of retaliation, purposeful, knowingly intention of management and upper
management to hide health code violations of rodent issues and am filing
complaint with intent to sue Aramark doing business as Panda Express, 114
Center Drive, Gainesville, Florida 32611 because of such retaliation and wrongful
termination. I filed complaint day of termination or next day but listed the
wrong telephone number of [protected]. My contact number is [protected]
an my email is [protected]@gmail.com.
Attached are pictures providing proof of my management complaints and documenting health code violations.

unfair work practice
I am an Assistant Manager. I had a doctor's note for a bad knee and the General Manager still called me in twice that day. Always telling me how she's worried about my health but does nothing to help. The other Assistant Manager told me the same thing. They were too busy that day because they had birthday parties to attend to. Seriously? At least help me find a replacement.
The very next day, I had an employee who's sister went missing. He tried filing a missing persons report and everything. The other Assistant Manager called him and asked if he could still work. I was surprised to see him even though we were under-manned (again, no help from management). His family member's missing and they still call him to work?
They are always calling me on my days off to nag about something insignificant, and I consider it harassment. Panda Express is always preaching to us about how they want to help their employees and grow. I haven't seen anything like that yet. It seems they only care about the Panda Family, not your family. Worst treatment of employees I have ever experienced. Highly disappointed and hurt.
