I rented an apartment in Paris through Paris attitude from August 24th to December 9th. I was robbed and assaulted outside of my apartment door, subsequently to being assured that the apartment was in a very “safe area”. This is not the focal point of my complaint, but I think it’s worth mentioning. I paid a security deposit of 1530€, and the landlord has completely ghosted me and has not payed me back. It has passed well over 3 months since I moved out and I’ve been in contact with the agency many times. Firstly, the customer service is absolutely horrible and I was treated with nothing but rudeness when I tried speaking to them and asking for help. Secondly, I got no help whatsoever, they claim that this is not their responsibility and that they can’t do anything, even if I paid the security deposit to the agency and not directly to the owner. They are not able to get in contact with the landlord and they won’t help me with the legal procedures, they completely ignored the email I sent them asking for guidance. Absolutely horrible agency. I paid over 1000€ in agency fees.
