Fraudulent and Disappointing: My Experience with Paula Young Wigs
I gotta tell ya, I had a pretty bad experience with Paula Young. I mean, I was so excited to order this wig that I saw in their ad. It looked so beautiful and I just knew it would be perfect for me. But when I got it, man oh man was I disappointed. The crown area was so bare that you could see the netting! I mean, what kind of wig is that? I couldn't wear it, no way. So I wrote them a letter asking for a full refund, including postage, handling, and the surcharge. I explained why I thought I deserved a full refund, too.
But when I finally got my refund credit, I was so mad. They didn't even refund me the cost of the wig and shampoo (which I never even opened because I couldn't wear the "defective" wig). I ended up having to pay $29.17 for something that was totally defective and should never have been sent to me.
So, let me tell you, don't waste your money with this company. They're fraudulent and they don't care about their customers. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
Paula Young: A Customer's Disappointing Experience with Prices and Customer Service
I've been a Paula Young customer for a long time now. Back in the day, I was happy with my purchases and how they handled any issues that came up.
But let me tell you, things have really gone downhill!
Their customer service has gotten worse and worse, and they keep jacking up their prices - to the point where I'm just done with them! The most recent incident was when I had a $22 credit in my account from a previous return. I found a wig I liked that was priced at $56.99, but when I talked to their customer service (which is a total joke, by the way), they told me that even with my credit, the wig would cost me over $60! And get this - 40% of that was just for shipping!
I could give you more examples of how they're just trying to squeeze every last penny out of their customers, but I'll spare you. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from Paula Young. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.

Paula Young's Hidden Fees and Poor Quality Products: A Cautionary Tale
I recently made a purchase on Paula Young's website for a set of bangs priced at $19.99. However, upon receiving my order, I was surprised to see an additional charge of $1.95 labeled as a "delivery surcharge" that was not mentioned during the checkout process. On top of that, I was charged $8.99 for shipping and $2.18 for taxes, bringing the total cost of my purchase to $33.11.
Unfortunately, the quality of the bangs was very poor and I decided to return them. However, I was charged an additional $9.99 for the return shipping label, bringing the total cost of the item to $43.10. To make matters worse, I was only refunded $10.59 for the item, leaving me with a significant loss.
When I reached out to Paula Young's customer service team to inquire about the discrepancy in my refund, they repeatedly cited a "new policy" that charged customers for returns. However, I could not find any information about this policy on their website or in their catalog. I was particularly frustrated that they did not refund the additional $1.59 in taxes that I had paid for the item.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Paula Young. It seems that they are more interested in making money through hidden fees and charges than providing quality products and customer service. I have since reported them to the Better Business Bureau and would caution others against doing business with them.

Disappointed with Paula Young's Salem Wig: Inaccurate Color Description and Deduction of Return Shipping Cost
So, I recently checked out Paula Young's website and found a wig style that I thought would look great on me. It was called Salem and the color I wanted was described as having "medium honey blonde" roots. I was excited to try it out because I usually avoid wigs with dark roots because they don't look natural on me.
When I received the wig, I was disappointed to find out that the roots were actually much darker than what was described. They were more like a very dark brown color, which didn't look good on me at all. I decided to return the wig, but I was upset to find out that they deduct the cost of the return shipping label from your refund, even if the issue is not your fault.
I called customer service to explain the situation and requested that they not deduct the return shipping cost from my refund. I even mentioned that there was no actual photo of the wig in the color I chose on their website. However, they still deducted the cost from my refund.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Paula Young. While the website had a good selection of wigs, the inaccurate color description and the deduction of the return shipping cost left a bad taste in my mouth. I would recommend being cautious when ordering from this site and double-checking the color descriptions before making a purchase.
Buyer Beware: Paula Young's Return Policy is Deceptive and Customer Service Nonexistent
So, I gotta tell y'all about my experience with Paula Young. Lemme tell ya, be real careful when you're buying from them. They talk a good talk about their return policy, but they don't walk the walk. I got four wigs from them - two of 'em were on clearance, so I knew I was only gonna get store credit if I had to return 'em. The other two though, I was told could be refunded.
So, I followed every instruction they gave me for the return process. I sent those wigs back and waited for my refund. But then, I got an email saying I was only gonna get store credit for the two wigs that were supposed to be refunded. What kinda crap is that? I've been trying to reach customer service to sort this out, but it's been like talking to a brick wall. No one's answering my emails or my calls.
And to top it all off, one of the wigs ended up gettin' changed to a clearance item after I bought it. They're being real sneaky about it all, and I ain't havin' it. I'm gonna have to get my credit card company involved just to get my money back.
Honestly y'all, I'm so disappointed with Paula Young. They're not givin' me the competent customer service I dang well deserve. Be safe out there, folks.
Poor Customer Service and Communication from Paula Young's Website
I recently ordered a wig from Paula Young's website, paulayoung.com. They sent me a confirmation number with a delivery date of two weeks, and they promised to send me tracking information. However, I never received any updates from them. After waiting for three weeks, I decided to call their customer service hotline to inquire about my order.
Unfortunately, I had a difficult time communicating with their representatives. I spoke to four different people, some of whom had a serious lack of language skills. I even got disconnected or hung up on a few times. Eventually, I was told that they could not ship my order due to an address issue. I confirmed that the address they had was correct, so there was no issue on my end.
What frustrated me the most was that no one ever notified me that there was a problem with my order. They just ignored it and left me in the dark. The last person I spoke with, who hung up on me when she didn't want to hear any more, promised that my order would be shipped on Monday the 20th with a tracking number. However, I don't believe her anymore, and I don't think I'll ever do business with Paula Young again.
It's a shame because I've been a loyal customer for years, and I've always had good experiences with them. But this recent incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope they can improve their customer service and communication in the future. And please, let's not blame Covid for everything.
Disappointing Experience with Paula Young: Shipping Issue and Lack of Knowledge from Consultant
Me and my daughter are both new to wigs, so we decided to order some accessories from Paula Young to make our first trip out in our new styles. We were excited to receive our shipment, but unfortunately, there was an issue with the delivery. The shipping address was incomplete, so the shipment was returned to PY. We were disappointed that we couldn't enjoy our day out as planned, but we hope to receive our order on Monday.
While waiting for our delivery, I decided to call one of the "consultants" to ask about wigs with little or no permatease. To my surprise, he had no idea what I was talking about. I was referred to the catalog, which I had already gone through with no luck. I was frustrated with the lack of knowledge from the consultant, and to make matters worse, when I asked a question about something else, his response was word for word taken from the same catalog I was looking at.
Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with Paula Young. The shipping issue and lack of knowledge from the consultant has left a bad taste in my mouth. I am not sure if I will be dealing with Paula Young again in the future. If I could give no stars, I definitely would.
Disappointed with Paula Young's inaccurate wig representation and customer service
I've had some experience with Paula Young and their wigs. I've ordered a few from them in the past, and while they weren't exactly like the pictures, they were close enough for me to be satisfied. However, my most recent purchase in early April 2023 was a different story. I ordered a wig in the color Silver Mist, and while the small bottom half of the wig in that color looked great, the full picture of the wig was in a cute brown color. When the Silver Mist wig arrived, I was shocked. The top half of the wig was the blackest black I've ever seen, and it gradually faded into the Silver Mist on the bottom half. I was so disappointed that I called them immediately.
Despite my attempts to show them that it was their error for not listing the black portion of the wig, they refused to waive the outrageous "restocking fee" they wanted to charge me. I had paid a lot of money for the wig, and there was no way I was going to keep it. I was so frustrated that I decided I would never buy another wig from Paula Young again. I just can't trust the colors or the pictures of the wigs they sell.
Overall, I think Paula Young has some work to do when it comes to accurately representing their products. While I've had some decent experiences with them in the past, this last purchase was a real letdown. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and make some changes to improve their products and customer service.
Paula Young Wigs: Great Styles and Prices, But Customer Service Needs Improvement
I gotta say, I had a bit of a rough time with Paula Young. I mean, don't get me wrong, their wigs are pretty sweet. I found a couple of styles that I was really digging, and the prices were definitely on point. But when it came to dealing with their customer service team, things got a little dicey.
I had an issue with one of my orders, and I gotta tell you, the customer service rep I talked to was not exactly a ray of sunshine. In fact, they were downright rude. I mean, come on, nobody wants to pay good money for a product and then be treated like garbage when they have a problem. It's just not cool.
Now, I'm not saying that every company has to bend over backwards to make their customers happy. But I do think that if you're going to sell a product, you should be willing to stand behind it and do what you can to make things right when there's an issue. That's just common sense, right?
Anyway, all that being said, I still think Paula Young has some pretty sweet wigs. If you're looking for a new 'do and you're on a budget, they're definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to deal with some less-than-stellar customer service if you run into any issues.
Disappointing Product and Customer Service Experience with Paula Young
I recently bought a wig from Paula Young's website, and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with the product. The photos online made it look great, but in reality, it just didn't live up to my expectations. I decided to return it, but unfortunately, I had a bit of trouble getting through to customer service.
I called a few times in the evening, but I wasn't able to clearly explain my issue, so I decided to try again during the day. That's when things really started to go downhill. I was passed around from person to person, and it took a whopping 54 minutes before I finally got to speak with the "Queen Supervisor," Donna. Unfortunately, she was just as unhelpful as the wig itself.
I'm not sure how Donna got her title, but she certainly didn't act like a queen. To make matters worse, when I asked about returning the wig, I was told that I would have to pay for the shipping (around $15) and a 20% restocking fee (around $25). That's a total of $40 just to return an item that cost me $126 (plus tax and a "Covid charge").
To add insult to injury, I later found the exact same wig from the same maker on eBay for just $108, with free shipping and free returns. Lesson learned: before you buy from Paula Young, do a quick search on eBay to see if you can find the same item for less.
Overall, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with Paula Young as a business. I had high hopes for them, but unfortunately, they just didn't deliver. If you're thinking about buying from them, I'd recommend proceeding with caution.
Disappointing Quality & Customer Service: My Paula Young Review
So, I bought a couple o' items from Paula Young and lemme tell ya, it took forever ta get ‘em. Like, almost 2 months. And then, when they finally arrived, I was pretty ticked off. Two outta the three items were complete trash. Like, junk quality. It's pretty clear that the quality of their merchandise has gone downhill big time. To make matters worse, the customer service was utterly useless. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for quite some time now, but after this experience, I ain't gonna be buyin’ from Paula Young anymore. It's a real shame.
Disappointing Shipping and Customer Service Experience with Paula Young
Yo, let me tell you 'bout my experience with Paula Young. So, I ordered summin' and decided to pay extra for that speedy shipping. They charged me for it and all, but then they go and ship it regular. What kind of nonsense is that? So, I hit 'em up and was like, "Yo, Paula Young peeps, gimme back my money for that botched up shipping." And what do they do? They tell me "Nah, we ain't refunding that." Man, that ain't right.
So now, I'm sitting here waiting for my order to arrive. It's been a minute and I ain't seen nothin' yet. And let me tell you, their customer service is not on point. Ha, more like off point. Like, they ain't helpin' me out at all.
Can't say nothin' 'bout the product yet 'cause I still ain't got it. But if the customer service and shipping experience is any indication, I ain't holdin' out hope for a positive review on that front neither. Definitely not gonna recommend Paula Young to anyone based on my experience so far.
Paula Young's COVID-19 Surcharge is Unacceptable: A Review
So, I was browsing Paula Young's website and was about to place an order when I saw they were charging an extra fee for something called "Covid-19". Can you believe that? This pandemic has caused so much turmoil and they're making people pay extra for it. It's just not right.
I immediately cancelled my order and decided that I don't want to support a company that takes advantage of people's suffering. We all need to come together and support each other during these difficult times, not exploit them for profit.
Aside from that, I did like some of the wigs I saw on their website. They had a good variety and some looked really cute. However, I think it's important for companies to show empathy and not rip people off during a crisis.
I hope Paula Young rethinks this surcharge and shows more compassion towards its customers. Until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Disappointed with Paula Young's Service - Lost My Money Over a Simple Mistake
I had bought a wig from Paula Young (paulayoung.com) and accidently ordered the wrong one. I gave them a ring right away but they told me to call back after waiting for a few hours. So, I held on for 2 hours and then rang them again. Unfortunately, they told me that I was too late and the order was already in the warehouse, ready to be delivered.
Honestly, it was quite the blow! I was taken aback and very much disappointed with the service given by Paula Young. I felt I had lost my hard-earned money and would have to settle with something I didn't actually want. Needless to say, I will never be shopping here again after the terrible experience.
I understand that there could be some reasons for their policies, but I think they could've had more understanding towards a mistake made by the customer. It is unfortunate that this has happened and I am not satisfied with how things were handled. I sincerely hope that Paula Young revises its policies and takes better care of its customers in the future.
Paula Young Review: Buyer Beware - Scam Alert for Wig Shoppers!
I wanna lay it straight, Paula Young aint no good. I wanted a fresh and bright Carson wig and what did they send me - a USED one! I don't know what's happened to the good old trust in this world. And you know what's worse? I'd already removed the tag (my mistake) so now I can't even send it back! What a rip-off. And I've been a loyal customer for years! So if you're thinkin' of buying from Paula Young beware, cos they're tryna scam you! I wouldn't give them a penny again if I had the choice.
Disappointing Return Process from paulayoung.com
So, I recently ordered a wig from paulayoung.com. When the mailman showed up with my package, I opened the box and filled out the return slip right then and there. I was hoping for a speedy return process, but after waiting for two weeks with no updates, I decided to call the company. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was told that it would take another week before I received my credit. And of course, after that, I would have to wait another seven days for my bank to finally refund the amount back onto my card. Whew, I'm just glad I didn't need that money for anything else!
Paula Young Wigs - A Total Rip-off!
I went and bought 2 wigs from paulayoung.com. Each of them cost me $34.99. With the taxes and all, it added up to around $78.00. But hey, that wasn't too bad a price for a good wig, or so I thought!
But you know what I got? One of them looked like a brillo pad on my head! And the other one, let's just say it didn't quite suit me, if you know what I mean. I had no choice but to return them. But wait, it gets worse!
When I actually went ahead and returned them, I got to know that they were going to charge me $19.00 for each wig as a restocking fee! And on top of that, I had to shell out another $9.95 for shipping. So what did I finally get back? A measly $22.03! Can you believe it?!
Personally, I think it was a total rip off. I mean, why should I have to pay for their mistakes? They should have done a better job of making sure they were selling quality stuff before putting them up on their website. I won't be going back there again, that's for sure!
Deceptive Advertising: Paula Young's False Promises and Disrespectful Customer Service
So, I got this email from Paula Young, right? Saying I can snatch a wig for just $39 and with Free Shipping. Eagerly, I entered the code and Boom! "No Discount" for shipping! What the heck is wrong with these people? I rang them up and hey, get this - they informed me that I had to spend $59 to qualify for Free Shipping. How sly! That is called deceptive marketing. I'm not cool with that at all!
Listen, I have always been a huge fan of Paula Young's wigs; they're pretty good quality. But you know what? That false advertising is just not cool. It's like they have no respect for their customers at all. This is the kind of behavior that makes me want to go elsewhere and try different businesses. I might just do that.
Disappointing and Low-Quality Products from Paula Young: A Warning to Potential Buyers
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with the products I got from Paula Young. I wish someone had warned me before I went ahead and bought from them. I picked up a couple of turbans, and let me tell you, they were not up to snuff. The material was weak, flimsy, and wrinkled easily. On top of that, the design was straight-up ugly. I found myself wondering if I had made a mistake trying to make them work with my hairstyle - but nope, the workmanship was just so poor that they didn't fit right at all. I thought maybe I just had a freakishly small head, but then I saw other reviews that echoed my frustrations. These turbans would be too small even for a newborn - that's a wild thought!
Worst of all, when I tried to return the products, the return policy was less than ideal. It would cost me nine dollars - for what, exactly? Shipping? Processing fees? I have no idea. All I know is I'm never buying anything from Paula Young again. They're selling some really low-quality products, and that's not the kind of thing I'm interested in buying.
Mixed feelings about Paula Young wigs: High Quality, Reasonable Prices, but Questionable Business Practices
I was in the hunt for a wig and I heard about Paula Young through a friend of mine. I decided to check out their website and their prices seemed reasonable. They even had a 20% discount offer with free shipping on purchases over $59.99. I thought it was a great deal, so I jumped on it and picked out a wig that I liked. The wig cost $59.99 and with the 20% discount it came to $51.99. However, when I tried to check out, I was disappointed to learn that I didn't qualify for free shipping because my purchase was less than $59.99, which was the original price of the wig. I felt a bit betrayed, but I guess that's just how they get you.
To add insult to injury, they also added a delivery insurance fee and a covid fee to my purchase, which made the wig cost $71.99 - almost $20 more than the original price! I understand that we're living in difficult times, but it seems a bit opportunistic to charge an extra fee for something that we have no control over.
Furthermore, I was not impressed with their shipping costs. They charged $12.99 for first class shipping, even though the wig didn't even weigh 12 oz. I felt like I was being ripped off and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Despite my negative experience with Paula Young, I will say that the wig itself was of good quality. The color was true to the website's description and the fit was perfect. It looked great on me, and I received several compliments. However, I'm not sure if I will be purchasing from them again, given the additional fees and high shipping costs. It's a shame because their products are of good quality, but their business practices are a bit questionable.
Customer Service! There is none, worst ,rude, people you can find on earth.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS REVIEW WHEN YOU GET SCREWED.
