I used PaySimple with a billing software I had
I used PaySimple with a billing software I had. I canceled the software and called to cancel the companies linked to it. Just came to realize they, through their 3rd party, has still been charging me for over 2 years. Called to ensure it was canceled and get a refund, they claimed they can't help because I canceled them. Called their customer service for their third party, they said they will not refund!
It's really sad how PaySimple Inc
It's really sad how PaySimple Inc. tries to make you sign up for Simple Pay in a very strategic way. They text you as a customer and ask for your social security number, bank account number, and driving license. This is crazy! The customer who texted me insisted on using only Simple Pay, even though I offered him four different ways to pay. I thought this guy was a scammer trying to steal my identity. I strongly advise against using this company at all.

I paid my CRA HST online through PaySimple via PayPal on April 4th, 2022
I paid my CRA HST online through PaySimple via PayPal on April 4th, 2022. However, the funds were not deposited into my CRA account. I contacted PaySimple, and they informed me that the funds were refunded to PayPal on April 26th. But when I reached out to PayPal, they said they did not receive any funds. I have called PaySimple multiple times, but no one has gotten back to me. This transaction involves a significant amount of $20,000, and I have not been able to find a resolution.
I was charged for Sep 20-Jan 21 & Feb 21-Nov 21 for an unused system
I was charged for Sep 20-Jan 21 & Feb 21-Nov 21 for a system we never used. They omitted the fee details at sign-up. Customer service cited a non-compliance charge, which was undisclosed earlier. We seek a $673.60 refund for these unauthorized charges.

PaySimple Inc is a company that I recently had an unfortunate experience with. They promised one thing but delivered another, completely changing the way their platform works. They gladly took my money as fees, but then unexpectedly terminated my account for processing, even though everything was initially approved and completed diligently. I provided them with all the necessary and correct business information, yet they failed to share accurate details with their processors. This situation has put my business at risk, as they intentionally withheld crucial information in order to deceive customers.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While PaySimple has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 14 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- PaySimple protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

I wanted to know more 'bout PaySimple, but before I knew it, I was all signed up. After that, they hit me with their prices, which I didn't agree with, so I cancelled. I called 'em up to get my money back 'cause I didn't use any of their services. They said I'd get a refund, but I still ain't seen nothin'. I filled out two cancellation forms and got emails sayin' it was cancelled. I even called 'em on the phone to cancel. But guess what? I'm still gettin' charged and my money ain't comin' back.
Date of transaction: Sept 2021
Date of transaction: Sept 2021. I got a merchant statement from Paysimple in the mail. It was addressed from *** and said that I opened a merchant account with the number ***. I never opened an account with them and I've never even heard of them before. Whoever opened this account must have committed fraud. It's either an inside job or the company lacks the skills to properly verify accounts. My business name is Matida LLC and I am the owner ***. This issue needs to be fixed right away. I can't believe someone could open an account without the proper verification information needed to set up an account.
Paysimple tricked me into adding their payment link on my invoice for my customers to pay through their bank accounts
Paysimple tricked me into adding their payment link on my invoice for my customers to pay through their bank accounts. We provide big chemical orders with an average order of $15,000, which we made clear, and we went through a really thorough vetting process by their underwriters that took almost a month. I got my first payment of about $14,000, and on the same day, my bank sent me an email saying they're closing my account. They wouldn't give me a reason. Paysimple closed my login, so I couldn't even check on my payment. My customer lost $14k, and it's been almost 3 weeks now, but nobody can tell me where my money is. I'm having my customer do an ACH Chargeback to try and get the funds back because nobody at Paysimple can help me since they closed my account.
The company didn't contact me to let me know that they would hold my payment until I had a business account
The company didn't contact me to let me know that they would hold my payment until I had a business account. I had to contact them on 3/8 to ask why I hadn't received my funds. They told me then that there was an audit and I needed to open a new business banking account. It's now 3/23, and I still haven't been paid for February or March. I've submitted all the necessary documents multiple times, but I still haven't received my payment. I have bills to pay, and my business will be in the red by April 1st. This could have been avoided if PaySimple Inc had reached out to me and told me about the audit and what I needed to do in a timely manner. I've been calling them every day to ask if there's anything else I need to submit and to let them know that my business depends on them. They keep telling me that nobody really knows what's going on and that I just have to wait.

Stay away from PaySimple Inc because of their shady business practices
Stay away from PaySimple Inc because of their shady business practices. I started using them to collect ACH and CC payments from my customers on a monthly basis. However, when my business switched to a software solution that managed multiple processes, PaySimple was not integrated into it. In August , I emailed and called to cancel my service with PaySimple. But recently, I noticed a $75 charge in one of my old business accounts and immediately demanded the cancellation of services. They "claimed" that I never filled out their survey to cancel services, even though I have proof of emailing and calling them. I'm not sure if this is accurate because it happened before my initial cancellation. But seriously, a survey to cancel service is ridiculous. To sum it up, I ended up paying three years' worth of unnecessary monthly fees (statement, software usage fees) to a company whose services I couldn't even use due to the lack of integration. Their proposed solution was to refund only the fees for August 2022 and September 2022, instead of refunding the three years' worth of payments. I tried to give them a chance to fix this situation, but all I got were smug responses.
Your service is TERRIBLE
Your service is TERRIBLE. After signing up, I got an email saying I was declined. A few days later, your sales team emailed me asking if they could help. I replied saying I was declined and didn't understand why they contacted me. They never replied. I called TWICE to cancel, and the second time I got a link to fill out a cancellation form. I did that and got confirmation of the canceled account, BUT it said the cancellation was effective the day I requested instead of giving me a full refund. NOW you're asking me to sign into my account, which I'm afraid to do because it seems like you just want a little more money from me. I fear this is a trick to try to get more money from me. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS! I asked for a manager to call me, and nobody called, which further shows that you're only interested in getting such a small amount of money, giving yourself a bad reputation. I already gave you bad reviews on social media, and I'll keep doing so until I get a FULL REFUND of what I paid since I got an email saying I was declined. If you really have "award-winning" customer service like your recording says, you shouldn't be worried about TAKING such a small amount of money from people and gaining a bad reputation for yourself.
I signed up for this service on 8/2
I signed up for this service on 8/2. I didn't use their services until 10/25 and paid their monthly fees that were not completely disclosed at the sign-up moment. They were totally different. They say they only charge $59 a month, but they end up charging you about $80 to $100 dollars a month. Anyway, I let them charge me for a couple of months since I really haven't tried the service yet. I was thinking maybe when I did charge my customer, it's better.
I discovered their product would not work for our business needs as soon as I found out their fees for the transaction were not as disclosed too. They charged me more than double of my old merchant for my customer transaction on 10/25. The fees were $6600 and $280.47, almost 4.3% on the transaction, way too high for my needs. I called them and they gave me a list of fees that I never heard about with other merchants in my 25 years of dealing with credit card companies. So, I asked them to cancel my service immediately, and they did and sent me an email saying that the account is closed. I never used the service again after that date.
On 11/12, they debited the monthly fees again from our business bank account without permission. I immediately contacted the company via phone, but they don't answer my calls. I emailed and requested a refund with no answer yet. Please contact me and process a refund on the monthly charges for this month since the account is already closed.
We started using Pay Simple in October *** but in mid November, we got a
We started using Pay Simple in October *** but in mid November, we got a notification about a problem with our account. They said there were forms we hadn't received before that now needed to be completed. The information we had previously provided to verify the account was suddenly considered invalid. They told us that all funds would be held until we updated and completed the account information. When we tried to do that, they said our account was "deactivated" and we had to go through the application process again. We made many phone calls and sent emails, but we had to start the whole process over. They told us once again that our account was incomplete and the funds would be withheld. Now, it's January 19th, and we still haven't found a solution. They told us that Pay Simple is just the middleman and World Pay is the actual processor. So, they sent us to World Pay's risk management. But as of January 26th, 2022, I've spent 9 hours and 14 minutes on hold with World Pay and still haven't talked to a person. I tried calling Pay Simple again, but they put me on hold and transferred me to World Pay. And now, we received an email saying our account will be deactivated again, and we have to start the application process from scratch. Our main source of revenue has been withheld for over 3 months, putting our business at risk of closing down. We have the same complaint against World Pay.
I've been a PaySimple customer for years
I've been a PaySimple customer for years. In 2018, I contacted them about my processing fees and all the extra charges on my statements. After some back and forth, they agreed to lower my rates starting in July . I thought I was getting the agreed-upon rates until recently when I discovered that my rates were not what we had agreed upon. It seems that they reduced my rates in July , but then raised them again in January . I didn't receive any notifications about this rate increase - no calls, emails, or letters. They claim that the notice was on my November Billing Statement, but they couldn't provide me with a copy because it's over 2 years old. So I had to dig through my old records to find it. The notice was hidden on the last page with all the legal text that's included on all of my statements. (SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS) Interestingly, on another statement, PaySimple added a notice about "NEW AND IMPROVED STATEMENTS COMING NEXT MONTH" on the first page. It was clearly visible with bold lines above and below the notice. Personally, I think my rates being raised again is much more important than new statements. It feels unethical and shady to give me a rate reduction only to raise them a few months later and hide the notice in the fine print. I feel like I've been scammed.
PaySimple is the exclusive processor for our registration software, with no alternatives.
PaySimple is the exclusive processor for our registration software. Every other payment processor we've used has stored and transferred customer emails with payment data during migrations. I was quoted $750 to export my data from PaySimple to Stripe. PaySimple exported my data in two files instead of one due to a Spring 2021 decision to split database storage of client information, which was not disclosed to me. This split made it impossible to capture my complete data in a usable form, as new registrars require linked email addresses. This seems like a tactic to prevent me from switching processors. PaySimple later offered a new rate of $499, not accounting for the time and effort already spent or the extensive manual work needed to edit profiles and transcribe emails. I requested PaySimple to merge the emails into an encrypted file for Stripe, which would have been compatible, but they declined, citing PCI Compliance. They also suggested actions for Stripe that would breach PCI Compliance, which Stripe refused. I proposed a reduced fee of $187.50 due to the issues faced, but PaySimple refused. Their A+ rating is undeserved in my view.
