I was at PEP store Alberton new Redruth store to purchase shoes today. When I got to the till I requested a cash back of R300. The lady gave attitude and said she doesn't have money. She called her colleague and told her to assist me.
The second lady was reluctant to assist at first. As she served me. I had a diary and earpods in my hand. When it was time to pay, I put them down and paid. Subsequent to that she took out a plastic bag and asked me if I have a R1 for plastic. I told her that I have a R20 and she said she doesn't have change. I then remembered that I have a R2. I told and she said I must bring it and gave me a R1 back. She then gave me my shoes and I left them forgetting the diary and ear pods on the counter. While I was outside wearing new shoes, a lady who was a customer knocked on the window informing me that I forgot the diary. I took it and left. When I arrive at work I realised that I forgot the ear pods and called the store.
When the lady who picked up answered. I told her that I just left store to buy shoes and I forgot my ear pods. She replied by indicating that she will ask the lady who assisted me. The lady says she did not see them meanwhile I didn't mention to whom or where did I pay. I went to the store immediately after calling the store. When I got to the store, I told her why I was there. She repeated what she said on the phone.
I then requested to see the footage. She said no I can't. I asked why, she said it's going to take 6 weeks and she still need to speak to the area. I requested the head office contact numbers. She said she doesn't know them. I requested the contact number for the area manager, she wrote in on a piece of paper and was very reluctant. I am going to open a criminal case against the three ladies cause Prudence stole my ear pods and they know it. They are covering for her. It's very sad that you employed a bunch of thieves who know nothing about integrity. And that says a lot about Pep as a company.
Desired outcome: I want to view the footage and it's up to PEP what it will do as these are their employees ruining the company's reputation.
