Service at PEP Arcon Park Vereenignig
Went to the store a couple of times now. Each and every time you wait in long queue for a cashier to assist you. They are either chatting with their fellow colleagues or just on a slow strike. There will be other cashiers walking around, but not even considering helping getting the queue shorter. This is frustrating and time consuming. Considering not going to shop there anymore.
Desired outcome: To up their game, and serve the people better
Broken shoes
Bought Shoes and other items on Friday. Also paid off last part of lay-bye. Received 04 slipps as proof of payment for lay-buy but not for bought Items. When I fit the shoes on Saturday at home, a part of the shoe broke off. Since I am living on a farm I did not see the cost effectiveness to go back to town for a pair of shoes. I went to Pep, explain that I did not received a slip. The lady flat out refused to assist me since I do not have a slip. The more I explained that I did not received a slip the more she refused to assist me. Now I am left wiht no slip, and a broken pair of shoes. (Wearing a size 9 shoe it is never easy to get hold of shoes unless you are willing to pay a fortune) I am very disaspointed in the service of Pep. They way I was treated let me felt like I was requesting special services, since it became clear to me that all the personnel was gossiping about me in a language I did not follow.

She was so rude shouting at us like we are senseless nd stupid about sanitizing and hpw she wants a number of 4 inside. We totally understand her point as I am a manager myself, but she even refused to let a client know what documents to bring to get a phone, that I took the liberty of explaining to that man, amd she felt no shame. When I asked for the manager so I can complain about the attitude she is giving us, she gave me her name with pride and told me to ensure I get it right bu spelling it. She only had 1 teller at a busy time of month end n she still gives us attitude.

I bought an expired Maynards original wine gums that expired on the 18.08.2021 at Forest hill Pep and my pregnant girlfriend ate some of them and if anything happen to her pregnancy I'm gonna take this matter further.
Laybye
I had 2 lay byes I did at pep for my babies, so the day I went to release them I was told that they can only find one of them and there other one they can not find it at the back so I should pick out other clothes from the floor. My reason for a lay bye is to reserve the best clothes and the sizes, on the floor there were no sizes the second time around.
I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor as this was a waste of time on my side as I only came to pay and collect the clothes.
There was no supervisor in the store so I asked if he can be contacted, and he was. Supervisor said he will check the clothes I lay byed from other pep stores I should come back the following day to collect them. I was not happy at all about this is as I had to come back on my lunch hour, use my petrol again to go to the store. Got there and the clothes where ready for collection, I paid the outstanding and left the store by going the opposite direction I came in, as I was going to another store. when I was on my way to the car on the passage of the mall I saw a piece of paper on the ground and something told me to pick it up which I did. I looked at the paper and to find that it was my pep store receipt that the customer signs and it remains in the store, that receipt had all my details (contact numbers, i. d number, full name, address, signature the works) A random person could have picked it up and use my signature use my details, stole my identity. I went back to the store and asked to see my original slip that remains in the store and they told me that they cant see it as the laybye was not in the store. I also asked does the customer go home with the slip or does it stay in the store I was told that it remains in the store. Took out the slip I found out side and they started asking each other who took out the lay bye as it was not supposed to be out side the store.
As furious as I was I asked to speak to a manager and guess what there was non available, I was told to call the customer care number on the slip as I wanted to keep it as proof. I called the number logged the complaint and I was told that the area manager will contact me regarding the complaint till today they are still dialing my numbers and all of this happed earlier this year.
Desired outcome: I want to sue them, i want them to pay for what could have happened if some one would have used the slip fraudulently with my personal details.

After i send money at pep store i lost one of the slip at the shop bt i didnt realise that time so when my brother went to withdrew the money he found out the money already withdrew then i call the store then they told me they did pick up the slip bt they didnt took the money, so the person who knew the pin its a cashier cause she had me when i told my younger brother i was with him that we need to put the one pin for all the slip mentioning the pin in front of the cashier, so went to the store they phone absa and they were told the money was withdrew at the atm absa next to the pep shop so the manager didnt ask the cashier anything so i went to the police station open a case so they will go to the absa to get the footage and see who withdrew the money.my problem is why the store doesnt have cameras bt they work with money cause i asked to see the camera they said they dont have and why the manager she didnt bother to ask the cashier and they pick up my slip bt didnt bother to phone me as they have my number cause i wrote down my number when she asked for it to do the transactions.

My name is Busisiwe Dlamini am writing this email with sad frustration at Pep home matlosana mall on he 20 of this month I bought a cell phone there so it had coverage problem so the person that was in charge asked one of the staff member to accompany as to MTN to check if it's the service provider if its my coverage or the phones problem so then we arrived at MTN they told the staff member that the cellophane has the problem because they firs thought it's my network hence the phone is using 3G BUT my husband is using a 3G phone too its when the guy from MTN told the pep staff member the problem is with the phone not service provider, we went back to the shop and the staff explained to the in charge that it was confirmed that the problem was with the phone therefore the lady called her manager so then she called her manager she did not explain what MTN said she still explained the the phone has no problem but it's my sim card but that was false information they way am so frustrated as I feel I just throw away R800 down the drain as it is not working so I ended up giving pep home that phone because me taking it home will be useless so I feel PEP HAS REAPED ME OFF THE AMOUNT OF R800 and what makes me upset I told the I would by another phone that is valued the amount of R1400 SOO my major compliant is that the refused to assist us after confirmation that the phone was the problem

This week (10-13 Aug) I have been to Pep Meadowdale everyday to exchange shoes, On Tuesday the lady behind the counter asked for my address, I informed her that I don't want to provide my personal details, she accepted it and completed the refund, Wednesday and Thursday the same thing. But today I went back and a the behind the counter, different to the whole week, refused to assist with out me giving my personal information. If it was enough with her being rude, she was laughing about it with her Manager, I don't see why i need to provide PEP with my personal information when returning something, you didn't need it when I bought something ? I ended up leaving the store with her knowingly adding in incorrect information anyways, defeating the point anyways !
I feel this is such disgrace and that those people should be working in a costumer environment.

I am an unhappy customer
I bought my router last year November (ZTE MTN) and this year around March it started giving me problems, when I recharge the data gets depleted within 30 munites I enquired many times about this and never got any help till now until I decided to buy a new phone because I was struggling to do my school work. I bought Hisense E50 in may and now it takes 3 days to charge. It's been 2 weeks now and I've been avoiding it. I went to enquire about it at the store I bought it and they told me they must book it and it will come after 6-8 weeks. I am unhappy about this in this week's what will I be using while waiting for my phone? It's clear that the phone has a fault with the charger. Why can't they replace it? Or allow me to exchange. Some of have no second phones. How can I be struggling for weeks due to the company's fault?. I am an unhappy customer. Your devices don't work for us. I've lost 2700 (for the money and router)

I went to glen mall to both pep stores on the 5th June 2021 and i was told their paxi scan does not work and it has not been working for sometime. Pep home said they only do collection they dont take parcels but i did not see any communication on the window or door.
Its really not nice carrying a parcel to the store only to be returned back and you not even sure when it will work.
Can you please send me your stores where the scan is working, maponya or Jabulani

On the 16th of June 2021, at Bloemfontein Twin City Heidedal PEP store, at 10am a cashier "Malerato" was the only cashier at the time but had to go somewhere outside the store for some reason only known to her, just left her post with customers waiting on the Que to be assisted irrespective of her supervisor pleading with her not to go but she left anyway and was so rude to us also to her supervisor

Today was my first time sending a parcel at Pep 8735 Kraaifontein as I didn't know how to but when I get there was a lady by the name of Siphokazi she had a stinking attitude and was rude telling me she didn't have time for scanning which pep I was sending to and I was begging her to let me quick made a call to the receiver she told me I'm wasting her time and called a next customer.. what a poor service and I keep asking is because I'm black I didn't deserve a good customer service as other people I felt so small right there even wanted to cry because of anger and thanks to a lady by the name is Sive she saw all of that and helped me if it wasn't for her I don't know

I wanted to send a parcel and buy some clothing. They say you need to follow the queue for withdrawals. All Cashiers are for withdrawals. Don't know how Pep in Mookgopong makes money with such an attitude. Why not keep one open for your regular customers what a shame you are going to lose many regular customers, We went to Jet and bought a lot of winter clothing for our farmer workers...

Went to pep home balfour park to buy glasses. Asked Tshifhiwa to rinse the classes or to ask someone at the back to rinse the 2 glasses for us. She refused point blank. Without even according us a chance to suggest that she could ask someone at the back to do so. Shes not even friendly and not a pleasant person to meet at a shops till.
A lot of stores at balfour park are closing down and it's not just the lockdown affecting their businesses, the attitude of the staff affects the business and before you know, more customers despise coming to the store and the store gets less sales.
If she can not assist customers rather someone else who can. Having a bad attitude isn't helping the store.

My name is Pozisa Rosemary Duda, I have a complaint regarding money that was sent to me on the 8th of April 2021 by my grandmother but due to trying the pin 3 times it got blocked therefore my grandmother had to call the money market call center on the 13th of April 2021 at 13:37 for assistance but I did not get any help as I was told that the store blocked the transaction so I have to personally go there myself to fix it.
My grandmother then went there on the 16th of April 2021 to try and get help so she was asked to complete the form, left a copy of her ID and the slip for transaction and I was called to be notified that the money will reflect in my bank after 7 days so I waited.
After 7 days which was on the 23rd of April 2021 I called again to enquire about the procedure and how far the transaction is and found out that they were waiting for my proof of account but I was not told thus I sent the proof of account with no hussle. I called again the following day to enquire if the procedure has been done and I was told not yet but it will done the following day so I called again the following day and I was told that the procedure has been done I should not worry.
Today which is the 6th of May 2021 at 9:33am I called to enquire what the problem is because the money has not reflected yet they said they don't know what's the hold up but they have faxed everything above so I should call the call center because the problem might be that side. When I called the call center at 9:44am the call canter said they don't deal with refunds they deal with money market issues so I called Pep stores again at 9:47am and I was told that I was the one that was supposed to fax the things not them so I was shocked because this was new to me. I asked the person that answered the phone how do they keep my application for this long to tell me this now and why do they come up with something new every week, the person on the other part of the phone said they'll call me today as soon as they get hold of Sanelisiwe Ngqokoma because she's not in today and she's the one that was supposed to do the procedure so I waited. I decided to call them again at 12:12am and was told they'll call me back again after getting hold of Sanelisiwe. She called me back at 12:42 to tell me that Sanelisiwe said she faxed everything yesterday but due to the disbelief I hung up because I thought they were joking so I called them again as soon as i got to the office to hear exactly what they were saying but they just confirmed what I heard earlier.
I wrote a text on Twitter to Pep and they called me on the 19th of May and advices me to call the store manager of Pep stores so that she can enquire on my behalf regarding why it's taking the finance department this long to refund me whereas it usually takes 14 days but she told me that she is busy so given the fact that she did not get back to me I assumed that she didn't call the finance department.
Today is the 25th of May and I still haven't received the refund, my worst frustration in this whole thing is that I'm not sure whether there are missing documents or if the money has been used because if I can get clarification on what's happening I might be at ease not this up and down doing the same thing every week only to be told the same thing which is nothing because it's clear I'm dependent on the store manager that seems less interested in helping me.
In conclusion I'm complaining about the incompetent service rendered at Pep Stores Cathcart road in Queenstown. I am also complaining about the long procedure it takes to get a refund.

Opening of store
Good day, Pep Golden Acre always have a problem of opening their store on time. The times advertised on the board in the window says Monday to Fridays 8:30am to 5:30 pm but it never opens at 8:30am. The store manager really needs to fix this issue as people always come to this store before having to report for duty. And it was reported to the manager numerous tines but it seems like it goes in by the one ear and out the other. Thank you.

Im 40 weeks pregnant i went to get a parcel this morning. I can hardly stand even customer commented after the cashier told me to go at the back of the que. Cashier Lebo at Mamelodi crossing left me there without attending me.

Rude and arrogant staff in cape town stores
As a student, i am very disappointed the the kind of customer and general services i received from the Pep in Golden Acre (CAPE TOWN) and the other Pep in Grand Central (CAPE TOWN). I was recently looking and still is on the hunt for a job. I came to these two stores and the employees were so rude to me when i asked to speak to the manager. I was asked why and i said im looking for a job as a student(part time or full time) and i requested to speak directly to the manager. They just brushed me off and said there's no work swinging their hips away from me. Now i keep asking myself is this how all students are treated at Pep, whenn they come to seek for employment. I;d like head office to intervene in this mattter and let this rude workers know their place.
