Avoid Peterman Brothers - Heating, poor service after paying 8k for a faulty system.
Avoid using Peterman Brothers - Heating. We just paid 8k for a new system that doesn't work. When we requested a check on the Freon, they couldn't come until Monday despite it being 98 degrees outside. After explaining I have children and it's unbearably hot, the response was dismissive, comparing it to Arizona heat. Further calls only offered a Saturday appointment without a set time or waiting until Monday. Their lack of urgency and poor customer service after installing a non-functional system in extreme heat with kids at home is unacceptable. Research thoroughly before considering their services.

Peterman provided a great customer experience
Peterman provided a great customer experience. The appt was quickly scheduled and I was notified a half hour before the service tech arrived. Tech *** G arrived on time and had the plumbing problem solved quickly. Not only was he very professional and knowledgeable about his company and his profession but he also offered tips in maintenance of the drains and pipes. He was one of the most cordial and respectful service techs Ive met in a long time. He came prepared with everything he needed to get the job done and left the work area immaculate. He also did a great job of conveying his company's goals and service offerings. Peterman was recommended by a neighbor who used them for heating/cooling. I will switch to them once my contract is up with my current htg/cooling provider. I will also use them again for any plumbing needs and *** also told me they now have an electrical division which I will use shortly for some issues that have come up. I highly recommend this company based on my neighbor's and my actual experience with them. A thanks to *** for a great job done. *** C

Company does a great job every time we use them. On time, experienced employee 's, helpful tips to homeowner. Thanks to all at Peterman's.
These technicians are a pleasure to have in your home and Petermans company has been great to work with. I have had furnace and air replacement at a previous home and water softener and water heater replacement at my current home.
I loved that they let me know everything that they were doing. The photo of the technician, so I knew who was coming, was a nice touch. Answered all my questions politely, also.Would use them again for my heating and cooling needs.
I have been dealing with Peterman Brothers for 3-4 years (since before the Brothers took over and changed the name). Every interaction has been top notch! All of the employees are knowledgeable, helpful and in a positive state of mind. It may seem odd to see positive state of mind listed here, but it is a noticeable trait displayed by all. The Peterman *** is a great value and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to keep on top of the upkeep of their systems. I have, and will continue to, recommend Peterman Brothers whenever someone needs HVAC or Plumbing service.

Joined the Peterman Protection Club back in December after problem with furnace, the benefits of being a member have paid off for me , with member ship you get FREE plumbing inspection Free heating and air conditioner inspection, just call and set up an appointment. Since Monday I have had the plumbers at my residence to look at a drainage problem to my septic also you get Free camera inspection of your drainage system . after receiving a quote to fix drainage problem camera found a problem with a lead pipe to my septic tank which was cracked. Camera man and plumbing people were surprised that the PVC pipe to my septic was cracked and between themselves decided that the cracked pipe was probably main cause to my drainage problem, so they put their heads together and rewrote the quote to fix all problems at a more than fair adjusted price which also included discount for being a member. All the Peterman employees I dealt with were very polite, Knowledgeable, and explained every step of the repair they were doing to my satisfaction. Today 8/4 the HVAC repairman came and did his FREE inspection
Well pleased with techs and service so far. I would recommend Petermans to family and friends.
Excellent service (professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to details) from Petermans HVAC Maintenance Tech
I am a new customer and I am very pleased with the service today. *** was friendly, professional and did an excellent job servicing my furnace. Thank you.

Our washer drain was clogged and it could not be cleared by using a plumber's snake
Our washer drain was clogged and it could not be cleared by using a plumber's snake. So the decision was made to do a further search for the location of the blockage and there was a possibility that the slab would need to be *** hammered to gain access to the drain. The appointment was set and the crew of *** and *** arrived promptly and told me that the plans had changed. They were going into the drywall instead and check out the trap. That indeed is where the blockage happened. It was a washer hose holding device that was caught in the trap and would only allow a small quantity of water to pass thru. The mystery is...when did that holding device break lose from the drain hose? There is no way of knowing. One thing I do know, however. *** and *** were efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I would also add a special word of thanks to *** for his good help and advice. You folks saved us a lot of money by deciding to check out the trap first and you also saved us from any further trips to the laundromat! It was a very good experience and my wife and I highly recommend Peterman Brothers Plumbing.

My service call was to diagnose a poorly functioning A/C and check furnace for possible replacement of both. I was provided with photographs and an explanation of the suspected problem. The gentleman was helpful in explaining his opinion of the possible options to repair or replace both units.
Had my bi-annual HVAC service check. I have an older system and some parts needed to be replaced. My technician, ***, was very knowledgeable and offered three options for me with estmates. I always appreciate the high level of customer service and professionalism *** provides.
Waste of time and money! The technician was clueless about electricity and how to help us. We were still charged for nothing. Will not recommend them for anything!
We signed a contract with jfmiller back in April *** our home. Jfmiller was then purchased by the peterman Brothers who has refused to honor the contract that they purchased when buying jfmiller. They kept either dodging my calls or just never calling me back. I had to call everyday for a month just to get then to come over and re-quote our job and add on an extra $4500 to do the contract they purchased.

I called peterman brothers in Lafayette to do a diagnostic on my water heater that has stop working, the Gentleman whom came to do the diagnostic, tell us that the water heater was no lighting up cause it was no spark and the fact that the water heater was older than 8 years he recommended to be replaced, so we agreed to $$$$ to replace the old water, here is were it gets interesting after they finishing installing the new water heater they noticed that the reason the heater was not working was due to no gas running to the heater due to gas company doing a routine maintenance so they sold me a water that I didnt need the Gentleman obviously didnt check or diagnostic the water heater properly but he was quick to sell me a new one, but it gets better he assured me that the soon the gas was turned back on he will personally comeback and turn on the water heater and check that everything was working properly will that was not true as I call the next morning and ask for them to comeback and turn the water heater on and inspected, will to my surprise I was told that they will not be able to help me for the next 4 days. So I pay for something I didnt needed, am not able to used and by the way I also purchased their *** services package anytime any day.I guess next time I will researched better whom I will do business with.

Based on my first experience with an electrical fixture change-out plus the verbal quote I received from the technician, I scheduled a second visit to change an additional four fixtures.I also called the number provided and committed to the *** plan described to me by the technician.I called for the second appointment in second week of May. I was advised that the first date available was July 18, 2022. I took that appointment.Sometime between the scheduling of the second appointment and the actual appointment, price increases took place.Instead of the $308 I was verbally quoted, the actual price was $532! Only on arrival of the technician did I learn of the 43% price increase. I had no prior warning of such an increase for the service.Because of having purchased the fixtures and long appointment wait, I agreed to the work.I paid the $532. I did receive a call from a rep because I told the Technician I was going to make a complaint. I received a second call from the rep stating no change in the price could be made. I have cancelled the *** commitment and stated my dissatisfaction to the company rep with whom I spoke. I feel this company has poor business practices. I strongly warn other senior citizens to be acutely aware of their practices. We senior citizens seem to be easy targets for such companies.

BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE!ASK FOR ITEMIZED ESTIMATES (PARTS AND LABOR). THEN BE SURE TO ASK HOW LONG THE REPAIR WILL TAKE. THE COMPANY WILL NOT PROVIDE THEM. THEY ARE ASHAMED OF THEIR OWN PRICE GOUGING. $400+/HR. AND OVER 200% ***-UP ON PARTS. SADLY, THIS IS FOR THEIR "MEMBERS." MAKE SURE YOU GET MORE THAN ONE ESTIMATE! THE *** REPLACEMENT DEPARTMENT IS 2 -3 TIMES HIGHER THAN COMPETITORS. THE *** DEPARTMENT IS 3.4 TIMES HIGHER THAN COMPETITORS.This company has gone to great lengths to send their technicians to sales training. Unfortunately, they spend very little time with technical training. This results in over 50% of new *** installs having warranty problems within the 1st year due to improper installation. OVER 70% of Sewer jobs have a damage claim filed. Multiple *** repair and pluming jobs have numerous issues due to lack of training and improper installation. Most managers for this company do not have any technical experience in their particular field. They are glorified cheerleaders to promote higher sales revenue. If you do choose to have this company come to your home, make sure you do your due diligence to check pricing on all parts, ask for itemized estimates to include parts, labor, materials, tax, etc. They won't provide it. That alone should be enough to let you know there is something shady going on. Good luck to you!

Hi bought a $10,000 heating and cooling package from Peterman less than a year ago I bought a membership with that at the time of the purchase they came out yesterday to check the furnace and air conditioner technician said everything was fine they left and my wife and I left the house we came back two hours later and the house was 80 I called Peterman and told them the technician was just there looking at the furnace and air-conditioning and it was *** two days I told her that wasnt acceptable kept telling her that it wasnt acceptable she insisted that that was the only time that anyone could come out I said its the hottest day of the year and you expect me to sit in my house for two days without air-conditioning when your technician was just here and messed the air conditioner up I hung up the phone and started looking at the thermostat and they had it set on heat instead of air conditioning it was 98 outside I called Pearsons and tried to cancel my subscription and in the process told them that I would not be doing business with him anymore and it was like pulling teeth to get the subscription canceled had to email explain again what the problem was I was very pleased with the installation and the way the air conditioner and furnace worked for the short time we had it but their customer service is terrible not recommend them to anyone because of their poor customer service I will give them a zero if I could

This was the worst experience with a business that I have ever had
This was the worst experience with a business that I have ever had. We were quoted a price of $6215. to install a cleanout and clear the drains. What I received was a 5' x6' foot hole which exposed an existing cleanout, a pvc 'T', a 5' length of pvc, and a threaded plug. All of this was done in less than four hours. Nothing was done to clear the drain. The whole crew (3) men were finished about 12;15 pm and they all waited until 5pm for the inspector showed up so that they could fill in the hole. They returned the next day to do that.. My daughter and her fiance live in the house. They have not had access to sanitary facilities except for 5 days since last November. They called the plumber to come out and clean the drain the next day. That lasted for 2 days. They have done nothing since. They say my pipes are the problem which was noted after the so-called job was finished. My daughter's fiance signed up for a mon. Thanks a lot.thly maintenance service ,but they wont come out to clear the drain. They say there is nothing more that they can do. They quoted me a price of $4500. to change out the pipes. Their entire argument was that they are not an hourly company. $6200 for a four hour job. Thats $2066. per hour times 3 people. Later i heard from several people saying that they had recieved the same treatment in the past Boy was I sorry. When I showed up at the job site one of the workers said that I already had a cleanout. It was just buried The one star is because they showed up on time..

Very disappointed in the service we received
Very disappointed in the service we received. I had called for service and specifically told them we were on well and septic, the technicians that were sent out told me they were not familiar with septic, this started a string of issues. They could not clear the clog so they called another technician which we were told had knowledge of septic and he was bringing a camera. When he arrived they worked in the clog a bit longer and no results. The technician with the camera told us they had a turbo snake that would work however this procedure would cost an additional amount of $***. He told us he was 99% sure this would work. If it hadnt been for this statement we would not have done this. The second day two technicians showed up late in the day and decided to use the normal snake first when that didnt work they got the turbo out and that didnt work. They try telling my husband he damaged a pipe when he built the deck which was over a year ago. This pipe is 4 ft. In the ground, impossible for him to damaged and the fact we would have had problems before now. They wanted to write up an estimate repair of ***. This is on top of the *** we already paid. I didnt want to pay the *** but the technician told me we already signed a release. I think it is bad business for any one to be 99% sure to coats the customer into signing then accuse the customer of punchers to the pipe. I want the payment returned . Plus my husband had to help the second day installing the toilet because the technician didnt have the correct tools. Return our money!

We have had serious ongoing plumbing problems in our house for years, and we have consulted countless plumbers to no avail
We have had serious ongoing plumbing problems in our house for years, and we have consulted countless plumbers to no avail. Once we were recommended Peterman Brothers, we thought that our misfortune would change - but we were gravely mistaken.I will say, foremost, that every worker they've sent over has been great - they have been personable, courteous, and they have all worked hard to try and get our issues fixed. After months of having Peterman's plumbers in and out of our house, not only do they have no idea what's going on with our plumbing, but they continuously try to upsell us on products and services that are at best a guess, and at worst, come across like snake oil. They were very "confident" that by installing a new cleanout, it would fix all of our problems. Now we have a $6,500 hole in the front yard that has not ONCE helped or allowed them to effectively snake or unclog anything. It was completely useless. Now, they're insisting that our only solution is to re-pipe half of the house - and even that is just them guessing, because they still have not a single clue what the problem is with our plumbing. From expensive toilets and re-pipes to cleanouts and countless other *** guesses, Peterman Brothers seems a lot more interested in lining their pockets and guessing than actually diagnosing problems or doing their due diligence before beginning gigantic projects and taking our hard-earned money. If you want solutions, Peterman Brothers is not your pick - if you want multi-thousand-dollar guesses and no results, then I highly recommend their services.

We had Peterman Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Inc
We had Peterman Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Inc. come to look at a sump pump issue where there appeared to be a leak outside of our home. The person (Zach) sent to our home went around the backyard and performed some sort of inspection and then came to the front door and presented two quotes: one to replace the sump pump line coming out of the house for $5800, and the other to replace the sump pump line and replace the sump pump. This was a red flag, as he had not even looked at our sump pump.I asked him to show me what he saw in the backyard, and he pointed out what I thought was an underground gutter extension and said the leaves/dirt/brittle corrugated pipe indicated that the line had collapsed. I pointed out that there was another area closer to the sump pump that *** actually be the output of the sump pump, and said that they would figure out where the sump pump was draining when they dug it up. Another red flag that they were not correctly diagnosing the issue. Both of those areas we later confirmed were the underground gutter extensions. I ended up digging up the earth around the sump pump and saw that the issue was the *** pipe coming out of the house had cracked underneath the ground and needed to be replaced. It was a straightforward fix that cost $25. We fortunately know enough to ask the right questions and determined that Peterman was not correct before spending almost $6000 on a repair that was not needed. We spoke with the person who came to our house about what we found, which he argued about until we showed him the pictures. I truly believe this person was predatory and was trying to take advantage of what he thought was our lack of knowledge to charge for an unneeded and much more expensive service.

Had two toilets that wouldn't drain
Had two toilets that wouldn't drain. I tried plunging and using a toilet snake without success. Saw the "We'll clear any clog for $83" ad online, so I called Peterman. A guy came out a little later and ran a toilet snake through each toilet a couple of times which didn't do anything (I told him I'd already snaked them a number of times). Then he said we needed to replace both toilets. I questioned this since I've dealt with plumbing issues before and understood the mechanics of how a toilet functions and I saw nothing that indicated the issue was the toilet, but the "plumber" said that Peterman tells them that if the snake doesn't work then they are to recommend replacing the toilet. Refused to even consider that the problem could be something other than the toilet. I got rid of the guy and called a friend in another state that is a licensed plumber and asked him what he thought. He laughed and said the guy was either an idiot or a crook and that I should ask to see his license. I called a different plumbing company and they came out and quickly identified the issue as a problem with the grinder pump on our pressurized sewer system. Fixed that and everything is draining fine now. Cost me $83 to learn to never use Peterman again. Not sure if they incompetent or crooks, but don't want either working for me in the future. I got a follow-up call a few days later from Josh asking how the appointment went. Not sure if that was standard practice for all appointments or if it was a result of my Google post. Josh took down my info and said he was going to do some research on his end and would call me back the next day. I never got a follow-up call from Josh. No way I should be charged $83 to have an incompetent guy make a minimal effort to fix the issue and then try and get me to replace two toilets that were working perfectly.

Prior to May 13th **** I would have left a raving review for Petermans
Prior to May 13th *** I would have left a raving review for Petermans. Sadly this isnt the case now. I signed up for the monthly service contract, gladly because after having an initial visit with one of their informative techs, I was impressed! I was sure to stay on schedule with my twice yearly maintenance checkups of my *** system. All visits appeared to have gone well. Certainly never told to replace such and such part soon or youd be in trouble. Who would pay a monthly service price and not complete the work thats needed? Right ? Yep. Anyway a service tech came out in February. Alls well according to tech after inspecting the *** system. Told nothing more but to consider a ultraviolet light for placement inside of the furnace to hold off mold. Fast forward to May 13th. Contacted Petermans to have someone come out and check why my home wasnt cooling. Once the tech switched my thermostat to ON, walked outside to the unit, heard as he said something that doesnt sound right opened the door to the capacitor and found singed wiring and rusted wire caps and a very rusted capacitor. This incident also tripped a circuit in my home and on the unit as well. The pictures I have, taken immediately after the incident, depict a very old capacitor, that now has singed wiring. And a good amount of rust. How is failing/failed equipment missed when this unit is inspected twice a year? From February to May? This capacitor turned to looking this way? Contacted Petermans to discuss this and yielded nothing more then an offer of a new unit at $10,000! I Tried repeatedly to reach someone via the *** department and never received a call back. I had 2 other reputable *** companies out and each said that the compressor is bad and definitely should have been caught before going complete out. Negligence poor and simple. Beware of Petermans! And watch the techs as they inspect your biggest pieces of importance in your home !

About 9 months ago, Petermans came out to service our furnace
About 9 months ago, Petermans came out to service our furnace. It ended up costing almost $900. Ok fine. Im not HVAC certified. I trusted them. Signed up for the annual member fee so that we could get routine maintenance and cleaning done. They scheduled us and came out 2 days ago for routine cleaning. This was not an appointment for anything being actively wrong with the unit. Temp is holding. No weird sounds or smells. Literally just a cleaning. The technician then hands us a quote for $5063 of repairs that had to be made. And a list of parts that needed completely replaced...some of which they had replaced 9 months ago themselves! And in true scam artists fashion, the list of parts that all needed replaced or repared mentioned no prices for said parts. Just the quantity of parts and a grand total of $5063 after almost $900 was deducted for member pricing. The technician used scare tactics like "You have a gas leak...and needs to be repaired immediately for safety reasons." We got a second opinion from a reputable business. The technichian found only one thing wrong...a job worth the grand total of a mere $114! Said technician found NO gas leak at all! Funny thing is...Petermans did work on my elderly, widow mothers furnace less than a year ago and told her she had a gas leak and it needed replaced entirely immediately. Well with a husband only recently in the grave and my brothers not in state to ask...she trusted them and replaced the unit. She also trusted them when they said it was due to a carbon monoxide leak and that her homeowners insurance would cover it! However, they did not list the carbon monoxide leak as the reason in their paperwork and insurance did NOT COVER IT! My fixed income, retired mother was out over $6000! I have also comprised a group a number of other individuals who have had similar situations with Peterman Brothers. Petermans preys on the elderly and unknowing through the predatorial use of scare tactics.

Unclogging Drain
On September 22, 2022, Peterman was called for its advertised $83 unclog drain service that promised 100% satisfaction and no charge if drain not cleared. Technician did not clear tub drain and broke internal drain stopper actuator and chain. I was intimated by the Technician to pay $83 even though drain not cleared. After the Tecnician left I called someone about what had happened and was advised to try using a shop vacuum. That same evening my drain was cleared with a shop vacuum that pulled a hair clog out of the drain. Because I was so intimidated by my dealing with Peterman I had help to call Peterman the next day and was told by Peterman that it would have its management review the complaint and get back to me. I never heard back. My story is so similar to many I have read posted on consumer review sites..
Desired outcome: Refund my $83 and fix my broken tub internal drain stopper.
We had a quote on a new hvac and furnace
We had a quote on a new hvac and furnace. We were verbally told, twice, that the furnace was included at no add'l charge (based on an advertised special they had posted). We rec'd an invoice but it did not list that the cost we were being charged was for the hvac only. No documentation stating that the furnace was free. It has been requested numerous times over the last 6 days. We just keep getting told, i'll forward your message to the customer solution specialist, or it's being worked on. I've never rec'd a call or text back. The sales guy, ***, said, well that information was automatically included in what we've printed out before until we did a system update over the weekend. I'll keep my opinion on that lame excuse to myself. Why is it so difficult for your company to provide a customer documented paperwork to back up what we've been told? If we hadn't had system installed, i would have just let this go, however, I feel as if your company is being deceptive and i simply won't let that go until we receive the information we as paying customers are entitled to.

I purchased a Heat pump system through Peterman's Heating Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical on April 27
I purchased a Heat pump system through Peterman's Heating Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical on April 27. Sense it was installed I have now had to have the system worked on 10 times. Some were repeat issues some were install issues and some where one time issues. I purchased a high end *** 288 Evolutions system, because my old system was needing service about ever 6 months, when the season changed. Now with the purchase of the new system it is more like monthly. When I call about service I usually have to wait a few days for someone to come and do the service work. There was a time they had to come three days in a row to get it back on line. Each time I am assured it is working correctly. Then something else goes wrong. I have called and asked to speak with the Peterman bothers to resolve this issue. But only get calls back sometimes from a customer service representative. (They are not prompt with their responses, It usually takes a few day to get a call back. ) They are all very understanding but it has not fixed the issue of this unit breaking down repeatedly.

I had my air conditioner system repaired and I have a subscription plan with Peterman Heating and cooling and I was charged an excessive amount
I had my air conditioner system repaired and I have a subscription plan with Peterman Heating and cooling and I was charged an excessive amount for the repair. I was told my plan had preferred pricing on parts and labor and no trip charge but was charged $568.00 for a capacitor and voltage clamp and 15 minutes of labor. I never received an invoice and when I called to obtain an invoice, twice, I was promised one but never received one. When I spoke with an employee I was told that they do not itemize their charges and even though I complained about the amount I was charged I was told it was fair pricing even though I never received an invoice. I was quoted by another company $100.00 for the capacitor, $100.00 trip charge and $146.00 for voltage clamp. That would mean I was over charged by over $222.00 plus $100.00 trip charge. I informed them that if I couldn't get an invoice that I would file a dispute with my credit card company and I never received an invoice so I filed a complaint with my credit card company. I believe I was over charged for the services rendered and insulted in the process. I also believe that this company engaged in price gouging and deceptive tactics in selling me a service plan that was supposed to provide preferred pricing on parts and labor and no trip charge. Clearly that was not the case.

Purchase date 3/11/22 air conditioner and furnace purchased together along with the gold club membership. We were told that service technicians would come out all hours to work on the unit if we are having problems and with the gold membership there would be no charge to us for an after hours visit. Our A/c has stopped working twice now. first time I called about month ago because a/c unit was not working. Peterman could not service it until end of the week causing us to go without cooling for 5 days. After turning the break on and off I was finally able to get the unit to work. now the unit is not working AGAIN! I called 6/2 and Peterman is not able to service it until 6/5. This is unacceptable to have 2 brand new units not working and Peterman unable to service them for days! according to Peterman guarantee if you are not satisfied you are supposed to be able to talk with the owner personally. I have been told on more than one occasion that a customer satisfaction specialist will call me back but NEVER happens
My father's property and the Peterman Brothers service agreement
My father owned a property in an undisclosed location and had a service agreement with Peterman Brothers. He was being charged $12 per month. In 2021, his and my mother's health began declining. Dad was diagnosed with Dementia. On December 2, 2022, they sold the home and relocated. I returned to assist them and took over daily tasks. They were unaware of the $12 fee on their credit card. After inquiries, I learned it was for a membership fee at Peterman. I requested cancellation via email on August 3rd. They replied on August 4th, confirming the cancellation but refused a refund. On August 8th, I called and was told my request would be escalated. By August 10th, with no update, I called again and was instructed to leave a voicemail for a representative, who later reiterated the refusal to refund 8 months of fees. I questioned the refusal since we no longer owned the property and they couldn't provide service. They claimed ignorance of the sale and denied further discussion. I reached out to peterman brothers to get a new AC and Furnace installed. They were running a promo for buy a AC unit, get a free furnace .The sales rep came out , Inspected everything , Closed me and my wife on the sale. And booked the work for the next day. (Awful quick ! ) Several technicians came out to do the work. My floor in my utility room before seemed to be slanting somewhat downwards, They installed the units. And after they did my floor completely sunk in, In my utility room and in my bathroom next to it. I had several contractors come out to quote the work. They all told me that the floor sinking in was starting to occur somewhat prior to peterman installing the units, And that there is no way that peterman did not notice or see the floor sinking in when they removed the existing units. Peterman installing the units made the floor sink in even further. And now I have foundation issues. They saw the floor was sinking in , Wanted a quick sale. And decided to install it anyways. I made several attempts to reach out to them to resolve the issue. Often going days without contact back while trying to juggle multiple contractor quotes. They reached out to me today 5/2/2022. And basically said they aren't liable. MY FLOOR IS SINKING IN. Even in the manufacturer booklets (THAT THEY GAVE ME ) it talks about how the areas around the foundation need to be examined for sturdiness etc. Before install. None of that was done. They dont want to do anything to fix the problem. I would be happy with a resolution of compensating my remaining balance on the install, or compensating me back for the price of the unit I did pay for. And I would just continue to finance the labor charge. All of my quotes are thousands of dollars to fix the issue. And this could of been prevented if they would of said something about it sinking in. I would of fully fixed whatever issues were there. But they didnt even give me a chance to . They just wanted a quick install and sale .
Purchased a high efficiency furnace and AC unit
Purchased a high efficiency furnace and AC unit. Installation date was on 9/15/22. The sales representative informed me that the technicians should be completed and off my property around 3pm. On 9/15/22, at 7:20pm, the technician asked me if I would like to have the flue to the furnace directed out the side of the building or through the roof. I advised that it would be preferable to have the *** pipe directed through the roof; otherwise, the *** would need to be painted to match the siding, in accordance with the *** The technician said that he would make note that the flue is not installed, since he did not have a ladder for roof access. After one week without communication, I called Peterman Brothers office. The representative informed me that it was not documented that install was incomplete. At my request, the representative verbally confirmed that she documented my request for different technicians. The technicians were unprepared for the job, and failed to document incomplete work. What work they have completed, I want inspected, as it appears sloppy and unprofessional. An appointment was scheduled for today 9/29/22; however, I turned them away. It was the exact same crew that I requested not work on my home. I have attempted to email my dissatisfaction to Peterman Brothers, but their website does not support messages with that many characters. I have been unable to run the heat in my house for two weeks now and it is starting to get cold outside. Running the heat now, will generate water vapor in my attic. Today makes two weeks without being able to run the heat in my house, and it is getting cold.

We had an AC Unit installed on 06/14/22
We had an AC Unit installed on 06/14/22. The same day the unit was installed the unit was not cooling the home (this was hours after) and so we contacted them immediately. However, the customer service department would not send anyone out that day and said that we would have to wait until the next day. At this point it was 90 degrees in our home with a 9 month old baby and 3 dogs who were not doing well in the heat (even after buying our own portable AC units to try to keep main rooms cool). After begging for someone to please come out and help, they again stated they couldn't provide any assistance until the next day even though their website states 24/7 *** The next day the tech came out named ***, he has been the only one from the company providing good service and genuinely wanted to help. There were issues with the water levels in the unit and so he did what he could to get the water out and the unit running. Again we still had no air hours later, and I called customer service again, they again said we'd have to wait until Sunday for assistance. At this point it was nearly 100 in the house and we were forced to leave as it was unsafe for my child and animals. *** was able to get someone out the next day after customer service was very unhelpful and not considerate to our situation at all. We are still without air and unable to be in our home while we are having to constantly adjust our work schedules and lose pay due to their inability to figure out the issue. The home is now a health hazard due to heat and humidity levels pose a mold risk due to their neglect of solving the problem. I would expect more from a company like this and their inability to provide services in a timely manner especially in emergencies is unfortunate.

Peterman Brother's (PB) came the second half of May to clean out the sewer line which had tree roots
Peterman Brother's (PB) came the second half of May to clean out the sewer line which had tree roots. They had to come into our basement to do the work. That was successful and got us ready for our scheduled June appt with another company to add a clean out for any future clean outs. The PB plumber then offered to run a snake down another pipe. That's when a piece of the snake broke off in our pipe. He said it was a small piece. The gentleman also did something to our washing machine and that stopped working. . When we called, two PB managers came out and said they'd pay to fix the washing machine but not the piece that broke off. To fix the piece that broke off, we'd have to pay them to do that work because of some waiver they said we signed. We were mislead to believe the piece was small, harmless and would just float up. A couple of weeks later, we were not able to use our showers, dishwasher, washing machine or use the toilets FOR THREE WEEKS. Turns out, our family of four had to live like this for three weeks because of the gross negligence of PB We were already scheduled to have our sewer line replaced by another plumbing company on June 29th. They worked an extra two hours to get the piece out so they could finish the work. The piece they pulled out was an 8 foot long piece of the snake. We had to pay another company $500 because we were misled to believe it was a small piece. We are filing this complaint with Peterman Brothers and want them to pay the extra $500 that was added to our *** to retrieve the 8 foot long piece of snake they left behind in our pipes. We also want cancellation of our monthly contract along with a full refund of the aggregate amount of our monthly payments. Our names are *** and *** Please see pictures of the snake piece that broke off as well as the invoice from the company that added the clean out.

Various Dates- first week of August
Various Dates- first week of August. Paid $1,181.00 for a job that was never finished. We contacted the business to change out PVC 'S' traps under the kitchen sink to 'P' traps and that an R/O system be installed that we supplied. Received attached quote though it should be noted that they have incorrectly said 'toilet repair' instead of 'install R/O'. You can see that they reference r/o on the invoice file name and, to be clear, no work was done or requested on a toilet. *** arrived (4th) and changed out the traps. When he went to install R/O system he could not get it to work correctly and said it was 'missing parts'. He'd be back next day to finish if we'd buy another system. He arrived (5th) and concluded that the new R/O system was also 'not right'. He still could not get it installed correctly. Tried to up-sell us their own brand for yet *another$800.00- "a bargain" of course since they're "normally $1,200 and up". He left. When I went to run water in the sink, water *pouredout of the drain connection to the bottom of the sink. We immediately called the business back. A few hours later they sent another plumber who fixed the problem- identified as not having tightened the sink base connection. We asked about the installation of the R/O and he said we'd have to call the business on Monday. When we called to complain (9th) about having paid almost $1,200 to change out some PVC traps and STILL not having an R/O system installed, their 'customer experience' person offered a $100 credit. When we stated that that was totally unsatisfactory, they basically said "take it or leave it". We promised a through roasting on all relevant social media platforms if they didn't work with us on a better solution and they simply stated "do what you think you need to do". This complaint is the first step in doing exactly what we feel we need to do in order that others are made aware as to the type of business these people are!

The way Peterman Brothers has treated me is beyond belief
The way Peterman Brothers has treated me is beyond belief. The detailed version of events is attached as it was too long for this space. The short version is as follows... I have had a service contract with Peterman Brothers (PB) for about a year and I spent $8,000 with them last year. They repaired the water shutoff to the outside hose faucet but the water line was not pressed into the pro press shutoff fitting. This caused a significant leak in my kitchen that the PB technician acknowledged was caused by their worker failing to complete the installation. The plumbing technician told me PB would take care of all water damage including but not limited to installing a new floor. Their worker could see the bubbling in the floor caused by the large amount of water under my laminate floor. PB called a third-party water restoration company to come out and they turned all further work over to this company. The water restoration company tore out all of the kitchen floor/living room floor and four cabinets. For eight days I had no running water in my kitchen and had fans, dehumidifier, and air scrubber running. When the water restoration company had the kitchen dried up they did an estimate for PB's insurance company. PB's will not allow the third-party to complete the repairs and they will not communicate with me at all about this situation. I have called PB and they will not transfer me to anybody, no one's voicemail, and they will not provide an email address. My calls are never returned and they will not respond to emails to their website. PB's authorized a third-party company to tear up my kitchen and they are responsible to return things to the equivalent of before they destroyed my kitchen. For nine weeks I have been living with a unattached kitchen counter being held up by one cabinet and a dishwasher and no kitchen floor. Peterman Brothers has refused to communicate with me since they fixed the pipe from their original negligent repair on May 17.

My complaint goes back several years and encompasses several failed repairs of the same issue
My complaint goes back several years and encompasses several failed repairs of the same issue. The problem began in October when I discovered a leak in my basement. Petermans initial assessment and repair was grossly negligent. Unfortunately, the depth of this dereliction is only obvious in hindsight. This initial service installed a freezeless hose bib (at least according to Petermans original invoice). Thirteen months later, I found the same leak in my basement. Peterman assured me it was not their fault, even having the original technician explain why this was a different problem. I tried to question the obvious conflict of interest, but to no avail. Anyways, Peterman subsequently made another replacement and, five months later, the repair failed, again. As this was within my warranty period, Peterman came out and replaced the valve and bib. I was not compensated for the damage to my home. However, I had learned my *** and recorded all calls (Indiana is a one-party consent state for recording conversations). In these discussions, the Peterman technician openly admits the failed prior efforts to fix the leak and expressed surprise over the companys inability to fix a fairly basic problem. For the past two years, Ive bypassed using that specific outdoor faucet that connects to this valve as I had little confidence in Petermans work and didnt want to deal with another leak. However, while I was away last week for work, the individuals opening my pool turned on the valve in order to connect a hose. Unsurprisingly, the hose bib/valve failed yet again, leaking for several days before I discovered what was going on. I reached out to Peterman in an attempt to amicably resolve this matter. I have yet to receive a response. A few days ago, Hope Plumbing replaced my valve bid and pointed out the faulty piece that Peterman had installed (Ive kept this piece for the record if/when need be). I estimate that Petermans inability to provide the minimum stand

Peterman **** installed a new furnace in my home on 6/25/22
Peterman *** installed a new furnace in my home on 6/25/22. The backed their vehicle up to my wooden gate at the end of my driveway. I initially opened the gate to let them into my backyard, but not wide enough to cause any damage to it. They were here from approx 9am-11:30am. I discovered that my back gate had been severely damaged after they left and I felt that their workers had opened it too wide and it warped the hinge and split the fence post. I reported this damage to their company and provided pictures of the damage as soon as I noticed it, which was about *** minutes after their workers left my home. My gate was fine before their workers arrived. Their customer care person called me back on 7/1/22 and they stated that their workers claimed they never touched my gate (which I believe is a false claim they made in order to avoid any consequences of their mistake) and basically they blamed the wind for the damage to my gate and that it was my word vs theirs. They only offered me $25 to pay for a new hinge which we have to install ourselves. There was no offer to pay someone to fix the gate or the fence post that is now split from the top to the bottom or the board on the gate that is now split at the bottom. They told me that wind speeds were so high on 6/25 that they damaged my gate. I just looked up wind speeds for that day and winds didn't go over 7mph that day per ***.com. There is no way that the wind was strong enough to blow my gate open to the point where the bottom of it was dragging on the bottom of my driveway. When I went to close my gate after their workers left, the bottom of my gate was dragging on the bottom of my driveway for about a foot as I think the wood had swelled due to humidity and I had some difficulty pulling it shut myself due to this. I do not see how winds speeds of 7mph could drag my gate over a foot of concrete. That is a lot of resistance and in my opinion it would take a person to drag my gate like that.

I reached out to Peterman Brothers to address some issues I am still having with my electrical system before installing a brand new **** system
I reached out to Peterman Brothers to address some issues I am still having with my electrical system before installing a brand new *** system with new vents to be installed in my ceilings totaling $20,000.00 I was sent over a crew that was not professional an did not have experience in switching out a system from a down-flow unit to a up-flow unit. I was told the job would take just 2 days, it was not completed within 2 days. Job started on April 25th, returned on the 26th but did not finish an pushed me back until May 2nd to finish the work. During the 26th to the 2nd we had job materials in our walkway causing a trip hazard. During that time frame of the 26th to the 2nd we had a no call no show for a scheduled appointment we had called in to come a complete the work prior to them sending us a crew on the 2nd.Here we are May 11th with another scheduled appointment to finish up drywall from where the holes was cut too big in my ceiling.I originally told the salesperson I wanted to address my electrical issues before we do all the *** work but I was ignored about my issues an proceeded to write up a sale. I was also told by the salesperson that I shouldnt have any issues. Remind you, I live here an knew I needed the electrical to be addressed because there has been obvious issues that I made the salesperson aware of. I was also told we can just worry about that later. That just doesnt seem to be the right way to handle this situation. I just hope my house doesnt burn down with the lack of attention that was paid to the customer with my issues I did address to them. It was even addressed in the initial request I put in to the company for service that I needed electrical an *** to come out. This kind of an experience is exactly why more people dont upgrade their homes like they should. Forgot to mention that customer care has not contacted me like I was told by 2 different employees. At this point, I dont feel like a valued customer that just spent 20k.

We chose Peterman Brothers to install a new heating and cooling system in our home when we moved in April
We chose Peterman Brothers to install a new heating and cooling system in our home when we moved in April. We opted for the best unit to replace our old units, spending just shy of $22,000. Within a month of install, the system (AC) was not operating and we had to have techs come out. From May until January 2022, we had multiple faults and failures of the system, resulting in techs being called and coming out at least once every month to fix something, sometimes multiple times a month. During this process, Peterman blamed us for one of the problems and forced us to pay $1,100 for a duct cleaning because that was what they told us was wrong with our system. The duct cleaning did not fix the problem, and were then told they would be contacting us to send out the head technicians that installed our unit to begin with in order to find whats wrong. Three months went by without no word from them about sending someone out. Finally, they contacted us and sent someone out and we were told everything looks fine and the unit is running great. We went to switch on the furnace for the first time this year on September 30, and it did not work. It took a week to get someone sent out to look at what was wrong, and that tech told us that it is the same problem we had last year with the furnace and both parts that were supposed to be replaced by them were not both replaced, only one of them was. They ordered the parts with fast shipping, scheduled an appointment for 10/10 to come back, and did not show up or even call on that day. I called and was told the parts were running late and they would call me when they came in. On 10/12 at 3:30 pm, they called to say the parts were in and scheduled to come out today, 10/14. I got a phone call at 9:56 am telling me the wrong part was delivered and they needed to order the right part again and cant send anyone out until the correct part is in. I want compensation for space heaters and a full refund for the entire unit.

Peterman Brothers came out originally came out to clear the main sewer drain
Peterman Brothers came out originally came out to clear the main sewer drain. Service appeared to go fine on that day. Two days later it was discovered that the Main sewer drain was then dripping which is obviously a health hazard. My husband, ***, called that morning(approximately 8 am) to ask for an appointment asap as we had people coming to look to buy our house same day. Did not hear anything by 11 am so he called back to ask about the *** and was just advised "on the list". By 3 PM and in fear they were not going to still come out by end of day I called back and voiced my displeasure and they still would not give a firm answer if they would be out. Based on the fact this company came out to "fix" this sewer drain then two days later it malfunctions they should have put us first on the list to rectify their error, but instead did not care as this was not going to gain them anymore money. When they came out the first time they were there within an hour or two of calling. Not to mention this is a sewer drain malfunction that is a health hazard. When the customer service, *** contacted me today, not only was she completely rude and unprofessional, she lied and said we did not say it was something that needed done ASAP which is not completely true, my husband relayed we needed this done as people were coming to look at the house. Even thought my husband DID in fact relay the importance of the fix ASAP(to which *** from customer service claims we did not, which i disagree with), you would think a company would want to fix their error ASAP instead of just kicking the can down the road and "putting us on the list" when it fits in their schedule essentially. Very disappointed with the terrible customer service of this company and would not recommend to anyone. Resolution expected is the full amount of labor from the original appointment of $333. They did not fix the problem, so are not entitled to this labor charge. Thank you for your time.

We purchased a new HVAC system from Peterman on 9/21/2022
We purchased a new HVAC system from Peterman on 9/21/2022. Around 08/16/2022 my husband noticed the house was not cooling properly. I contacted Peterman on 08/17/2022 & we had a tech scheduled for 08/18/2022. The tech showed up & discovered our less than 1 yr old unit was completely frozen & he couldn't run a diagnostic test until it was completely thawed. So he came back out the following day 08/19/2022 was told at that time that it needed a specific part and that he had one in stock he would run and pick it up and come back. He came back with an excuse that the part was not available and he would need to order it. He claimed that he would have it back by Wednesday of the following week. I myself was out of town and was hoping that my husband was handling everything. When I got home on Sunday evening it was 80 degrees in our home which we normally have the thermostat set at 69 degrees. So I call first thing 08/22/2022 I was told the part was available however they have us scheduled for installation on 08/25/2022. I then tell the rep that doesn't make sense if you have the part install it today and she went back & forth as to why it couldn't be installed which didn't make any sense. So when I req to spk to someone that could get me scheduled for today she then says that a tech will be out the following day 08/23/2022. Later that day I get a call saying that unfortunately they don't have the part that it needed to be specially ordered and they were expecting it the following morning and they would call me with an update. Long story short today is 08/25/2022 and still my A/C unit is not repaired. I was told yesterday that we would be the first appointment of the day for repairs. Received a call at 9:55 am (which doesn't sound like the first call/appt of the day) but then I was given yet another excuse as to why I still have to wait til later in the day for repairs. I'm so done with Peterman I shouldn't went with *** which is who serviced our unit b4.

All went well. The tech was courteous. Nothing was wrong. It is a new furnace, this was just a yearly check.
