My mortgage was sold to PHH in early 2023, up until this point in time, there was never an issue with my lendor. Since that time, all I have done is spend time getting passed from one inept "professional" to another. This all started with claiming my escrow was not sufficient. I spend several months getting that issue resolved only to be told that my flood insurance was non-existent. I spent almost 4 months haggling with PHH on this along with my insurance company that the paperwork was proper and nothing had changed since the mortgage was sold. Nevertheless, they, PHH, decided me and my insurance broker were wrong and started charging me an absurd amount for flood insurance. Finally in July of this year they admitted they were wrong. Two weeks later they sent me another letter, this time telling me that I did not take out enough insurance and they had the right to decide the proper amount of insurance. Also, when I pay through their website, they charge the client $7.50 to do that. This company is a joke and the most unprofessional company that I have ever dealt with. I so wish I could refinance and get away from them, but when I bought the house at 3.1% and rates are more than doubled - they have you in the grips. Beware of this company
