Dear PAL,
You changed the flight time for the leg of our flight from Bangkok to Manila (PR 222) on 8 Dec. Months before we traveled. Booking ref - PTG95X
This change apparently did not allow sufficient time in Manila to make our connecting flight through to Brisbane.
This change was made months before our flight and YOU FAILED TO ADVISE US THAT THERE WOULD BE A PROBLEM UNTIL WE ARRIVED AT BANGKOK FOR CHECK-IN ON 8 DECEMBER?
At check-in, we were confronted with the fact that there was not sufficient time to make our connection through to Brisbane?
The check in staff advised they would re-book us onto Thai Airways. We attempted to check in on Thai but they were unable to provide us with a connecting flight through to Brisbane, so I requested your staff to arrange a flight which actually terminated in Brisbane.
The checkin staff then arranged a second alternative flight on Singapore Airlines which went through to Brisbane.
All this mucking around and staff not initially booking us on a flight through to Brisbane caused my wife and I considerable stress and wasted time at the airport.
1. Why was nothing communicated to us by PAL prior to us arriving at checkin?
2. Given that the schedule change to our flight was made MONTHS PRIOR to our flight, WHY was NOTHING done to change flights PRIOR?
3. I look forward to receiving compensation for this disaster!
A free upgrade to Buisiness on our next PAL flight would be nice.
