Sun Express Flight from Dublin to Izmir

We had a delay in Dublin which could not be helped due to Storm Agnes. That is understandable but the rest is not.

We were not given any proper information about our situation and delayed. There was no offer of refreshments nor seating made available to us in any shape or form. Your staff only delivered the information they were given which was all untrue given by the hierarchy in your organisation no doubt.

The final insult was we were told we would re-boarded on flight xq887 to Izmir.

We have photo evidence the flight we were on was xq886 which was destined to land in Cologne which we were not informed until we were airborne. This was never going to Izmir.! We booked direct flights so we got there on time. We have lost 2 days as we don't get to Izmir until 6am on the 28.09.23 we will have to go straight to bed when we land so we lose the day of the 28.09.23. That's 2 days!

There's lots more l could write but we will await your response?

Desired outcome: Need reimbursement for the flights and our holiday in general.

Sun Express Delayed flight

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by your airline company. Last Wednesday, I missed my connecting flight to Spain (Barcelona) due to the 2h 50min delay of the flight XQ 590 from Antalya to London Gatwick.

We were supposed to arrive at 10.35h, instead, we landed later than 13.30 which made me miss my connecting flight at 13.00h to Barcelona.

It was announced that the flight had some problem with the lamp, but not by how long it would take to fix it, and no apology for this inconvenience was offered. I was obliged to ask a ticket inspector what was causing the delay; he shrugged and said that he supposed it would be something about the fuel or lights of the plane. Surely your customers should be better informed than this, giving them the option, and the time, to choose alternative means of getting to their destinations.

Furthermore, the buffet was closed for the whole almost three-hour delay, a further inconvenience that angered many passengers. Besides, even though the flight was delayed more than two hours, we were not offered free food and drinks as it must be done when a flight is delayed more than 2h.

Last but not least, I had to sleep one night at the airport due to the lack of flight to Spain at that time that day and the out-of-this-world prices of the tickets.

You claim to run a quick and efficient airline company, but my experience last Wednesday suggests the opposite. You provide a public service, and the sure sign of success in such a business is satisfied customers. It seems to me you have greatly damaged your reputation.

Finally, given the inconvenience, the missed connecting flight, and the overall incompetence of your service, I demand a refund of the cost of an economy-class ticket from Antalya to London as well as the difference between the cost of my second flight with the one I had to buy again. If you do not give this matter your urgent attention, I shall have to take matters further.

Sun Express SunExpress - Lost Luggage

Sun Express has lost my luggage. It has been almost 2 months. I have called multiple times, I have chatted with a live agent, I have filed a lost luggage report, and I have NEVER heard back from anyone. It is so FRUSTRATING, as now I have to replace all of my belongings and I am unable to speak with anyone at SunExpress. Really poor customer service.

Delayed flight of 4 hours and passengers turned away as plane was to small . My lugggage was taken off this flight due to smaller plane than anticipated. Reported it to lost property and called sun express on many occasions to be told they don’t deal with getting it back. even did live chat With someone called Berki and yet again nothing came of this . I have photos of all communication with sun express and your lack of customer care is very poor . I stated many times to your company that there were medications in this case which I needed daily yet nothing was still done about this . I became very unwell over my 10 day holiday and also have photographs to prove this . Government guidelines state that your company have a duty of care to get this case back to me which you did after many complaints and calls from myself and my mother Michele Jones from the uk . Many of the calls were recorded and also were from your side . I will be taking this matter further and I am seeking legal advice on this matter. I am requesting all call recordings from you also and any messages of which you have from us please . I also had my case delivered 1 day before my return back to the uk . Leaving me with no option to buy all new items needed for my holiday . The money and time I spent daily chasing my luggage and the stress sun express has caused totally ruined my holiday . Sun Express Last minute cancellation voiding of ticket by Sun exoress

Second time in a row due to sun express I experienced them voiding their segment of a flight and I had to deal with refund and rebooking of the whole transatlantic flight. Latest catastrophe was a flight on May 7, 2022, Newark Munich to esb. Because they cancelled Munich esb, rest of my flight with another airline also got voided. It happened last summer too. I thought it was a Covid hiccup. Never ever again. Terrible terrible airline,

Desired outcome: They should immediately bankrupt and go out of business with this terrible business.

Sun Express Delayed flight

Flight XQ595 18.20 11th April 2022 from Manchester to Antayla was delayed more than 3 hours. System failure resulting in the whole flight manually being checked in. I am requesting compensation for my self and 3 passengers. In accordance to Denied Boarding Regulation 261/2004 and ruling by European court of justice, I am entitled to compension. Please advise

Sun Express theft/ irresponsibility

My name is Beste Sarıtaş.
I visited my aunt in Düsseldorf from 25.10.2019 to 29.10.2019.

On 26.10.2019 I have bought a Chanel bag for €2.800. On 29.10.2019, I have shown the bag to German police in Tax Free area, got the stamp on invoice to get the tax back. Moreover, the red Chanel bag was in a black box wrapped in a black sheath with its certificate next to it and a white ribbon around the box. (My reservation number: D5ZW8K). With the XQ959 flight of Sunexpress at 14:55 from Düsseldorf, I came to İzmir with two red luggages. The plane landed at 20:30 (18:30 German time) with local time. I took my luggages and left the airport with my own car parked in autopark area. On the way home, I remembered that I had closed the expansion zipper before I left my aunts' house in Düsseldorf and it was opened when I took the luggage. I pulled to the gas station and opened my luggage to find ribbon, sheath and certificate left in my luggage. My bag and its box were taken. I called the police and they asked me to directly come to İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport police office, and I got there as soon as possible. I have written this to Sunexpress customer service. I have also filed criminal complaint with Turkish Police and German police. The only answer I got from Sunexpress is that "I SHOULDN'T BE CARRYING SOMETHING WORTH MORE THAN €300". Noone called or contacted me from the airlines other then this mentioned mail.
I ask my losses to be compensated fully. I will not stop until then.
Because this didn't only harm me financiallly but also mentally. Going through this much stress alone, without the support of airlines...
HOW irresponsible can an Airline be? Sunexpress is making a great example of this and more.
On 22.11.2019 they also lied to my travel agency that nothing came out from the search in Düsseldorf. I was in Düsseldorf from 21-24/11/2019. On my return date 24.11.2019, I fied my complaint in the airport and the police in the airport said its the first time they hear such thing.
HOW can an airline responsible lie to the customer?
CAN THEY GET RID OF COMPLAINTS LIKE THIS?

Sun Express denied boarding fault of airline

i was asked not to board a flight from Bodrum to London Luton because an air hostess was sick and the plane could not carry all the passengers scheduled to fly an alternate flight was provided 2 days later from Antalaya which didnt suit my schedule and i refused to travel from bodrum to antalaya by bus !

Sun Express check in at luton airport

I have arrived to check in line 40 minutes ago and lune moved only about 4 metres. I still have 30 people in front of me and around 60 at the back. It os such a long queue that I have never seen. People really upset and there is not enough people to check in and three working are under pressure. Sum Express managers needs to sort this out. I tried to call their customer service and also it has no clue what is happening and no intention to help. I will make sure no friends used Sun Express, you have no idea how to start customer service and need to learn long way to get repeat customers

Sun Express complaint

Bonjour,

Nous avons voyagé avec votre compagnie le 22/06 en direction de Antalya et le vol (XQ 111) a été retardé de plus de 3 h...le décollage devait se faire à 9h45 alors que cela s'est passé à12h50 précisément...

Nous avions réservé avec la compagnie Mondial Club avec l'agence Leclerc.

La demie journée que nous avions prévu de passer à Antalya a été annulé à cause de votre retard. Nous aimerions bénéficier des dommages et intérêts suite à cet incident.

Nous vous remercions d'avance d'avoir pris le temps de traiter le mail dans les meilleurs délais.

Sun Express delayed luggage

Never want to fly this company again. I flew from Vancouver to Turkey and unfortunately for the last connection my Lufthansa flight was operated by this airline. On my vacation, they left my luggage in Germany! Even though I was closely monitoring and talking to them ! I was not the only one, including myself 10 other people's luggage got delayed.

Company's customer service is unprofessional and not reliable. I have submitted my urgent expenses due to 3 days delayed luggage! Which arrive later than they informed and midnight! Company hasn't responded my request even though it says 7 business days response time in their email.

Their customer representative admitted that that's just a target number, it can last more than that ! It has been more than 2 weeks ! I can't imagine how many people had a problem with them and it is causing this delay .

Never ever fly with them !

Sun Express flight and airport service

Hi we have just arrived back to uk from Antalya landed at Luton flight number XQ0530 we were delayed .. They did some security checks and it delayed us, departure was meant to be at 08.40 and we didn't leave until 11.00 am when we needed the toilet the lady said we would have to go back through security! Me and my partner both suffer mental illness my partners mum who was with us suffers a heart condition and has cancer, and this has caused us a lot of suffering, we weren't told what was going on apart from suspicious activity, this made us freak out, we also needed to a drink as we were dehydrated and through stress felt sick but we were all scared to go out incase we had to stand up in the queue and go through the horrendous security and empty our bags etc, we asked if they could get us a drink, but the lady said they can't! We had run out of Turkish lira and only had sterling which we were hoping to spend on the plane and get drinks and food, so we felt ill we hadn't had a drink since 6.30 am it was then at the time 9.30am the company said the plane wasn't safe to fly that's why it's delayed, we couldn't understand why your company kept saying different things, we had to take a lot of medication to help us calm down, we felt like we were going to collapse, what will you do about this trauma and suffering caused to us, we are all not well because of this and missed our appointments we had scheduled in.

I am a recent customer flying in your airlines(XQ 988) from Izmir to Dusseldorf on the 21st of April 2019. Sun Express website pricing

in the chapter Inspiration I look for flights to enjoy my next holiday.
From all airports I see flights advertised from E65.99, when I click on this price for this particular day I see on the bottom Your trip E65.99 *not from(. When I subsequently click on the booking button this price is nowhere to be seen, but prices could be double or even treble.
The following day it is still exactly the same, so the chance that someone else has booked this particular flight just before me is nihil.

This is called misleading advertising and if complaints are made to the UK advertising board they will expect you to honour this original price. Maybe it is standard practice in Turkey but in Europe it is called fraud.

When I try to book for the advertised price I expect you to honour the flight at this price.

Sun Express airline ticket

I currently purchased a ticket from this airline via Skyscanner and payment went through.. I didn't receive any email confirmations so I checked and the payment had gone through.. unfortunately after several days I still didn't receive any emails regarding my travel (e-ticket) so I checked with my bank and here it goes the payment has been refunded several days later with an explanation overbooking. I now have to pay double the amount to make another booking.. I have been using Skyscanner since 2012 this is the first I have come across such a situation..

Sun Express no information about the flight cancel

Hello,

My Name is Ros- Marie Ekman and my husband's name is Mikael Norgberg. We are from Finland / Åland. We bought our flight tickets from Sunexpress from the internet without knowing ( NO INFORMATION ABOUT IF THE FLIGHT WOULD BE A CHARTER) if there would be any change about the flight. (From Antalya to Stockholm 04-06-2015, flight: XQ578, Booking cod : NV8839.

I could not read the email which you send only 2 days ago from the flight (because I did not know if the flight time would change because Sunexpress did not inform people when we buy the tickets from the internet) and there is no SMS on my telephone nothing, no information and then we had to go to Danmark instead of Stockholm and then we paid 4098 DKK to go to Stockholm where our tickets were already supposed to be bought for. We had really trouble in the flight.

When we arrived at the airport they said (3 men from the Sunexpress) the plane postponed to 7th of June but they said even it can change later also, no guarantee.

According to the European Law, my insurance company said that SunExpress must pay our flight tickets from Denmark to Stockholm.

I demand the money I spent for our Denmark flight in terms of not being truly informed both buying the tickets and then for the flight process.

I have all the information all the flight tickets and everything with me that I can send you.
