Do not sign a membership with this company
they will tell you everything you want to hear in order to get your signature on their membership. They will lie to you and tell you that you can cancel your membership at any time, however this is not true.
I've tried to cancel my membership 3 times and they are still withdrawing money from my bank account.
I've given the 30 day notice that they refuse to inform you about in the beginning... And they still won't cancel. Every time they give me an excuse about the manager not being there so therefore my membership never gets canceled. They assure you that someone will get back to you, and they never do.
I had to close my bank account just to get them to stop!
Then they threaten you with a collections agency!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I had to cancel my card as well. Owner was out of the country, etc. One excuse after another and no one seems to work there more than a week or two anyway so they have no clue.
I actually have had a great experience at my Planet Beach and would highly recommend. I think they are a franchise so it probably varies from owner to owner but the services they offer are great and I like the staff.
They have charged my credit card twice for products I did not buy. I am on my way to cancel membership and cancel credit card on file/dispute charges with my bank right now.
They did the same to me and sent me to collection. This company is shameful. I cancelled my account and paid the fee. The guy on the phone from the collection company Lieberman cross and stone was a jerk! Make sure you keep records of everything when dealing with this company and READ everything! Im so upset because I had a great relationship with the owner of that location (Orlando FL) and knowing she lied about the contract is extremely unprofessional. There are many negative reviews online, so be aware!
I have also been charged after i signed the cancellation form. They have lied to me this whole time and told me that with my limited membership, that any unused spa treatments could be used the following month. They still charge my card but wont let me use the 16 unused spa treatments because i signed a cancellation form. That would have been nice information to know when cancelling. Now the manager says that she told me that after i have called and complained, asked for the owners number (Which she did not give me) and have emailed to have both my copies of my original contract and cancellation form scanned and email to me. Like that's going to happen. Dont deal with this company. They will steal from you big time. I am already out 155.00.

Read all the complaints about how planet beach scams everyone on memberships, withdraws money from their bank accounts after cancelling service, and calling with threats how they will ruin your credit. I'm now fighting a $1888.00 collection on my credit (5 years later) with planet beach and their minions, kross lieberman & stone.
I've been trying to fight this off my credit (Even have the proof and contract) and it's got to the point where i'm limited to what i can do when it comes to getting a loan. I've called kross liberman & stone and was treated like dirt the minute they picked up the phone. The guy kept cutting me off and kept saying, " you are the one who signed 24 months". Not only that when i called planet beach corporate office i would either get a voicemail or when someone answered they would take a message because the person i needed to talk to wasn't available. Plant beach corporate office never returned my calls, voicemails, or contact forms i filled out online.
There is no winning here and not sure what else to do at this point, but find a lawyer that will take my case and hopefully help others who have been through the same as i did.
All around planet beach has the worst business ethics for both consumers and apparently franchisees.
I used to work there, and can confirm literally all of this. Shady sales techniques, straight up lying about retail cost, charging others more or less for the same memberships for no other reason than, that's just how much they were able to get you to agree to pay. My director charged people's accounts all the time when she wasn't supposed to, and the person complaining about them never being around as one hundred percent right. I can't even count on two hands how many calls I got four members wanting to cancel, and all I was able to tell them was that my director would get back to it next time she was in... Which she never did. She was egregiously behind on the amount of cancellations she had to process, and she never got them done on time, which resulted in people getting charged when they weren't supposed to. I can say that they are telling you the truth when they tell you that they can't process your cancellation, only directors are allowed to do that, no exceptions.
