Windows
Your windows are less than subpar. We paid over $15,000 to have brand new windows put in our home in 2016 with the guarantee of a lifetime warranty. That warranty is no good when you can no longer have a date within reasonable amount of time to get saidd windows replaced. Your customer service is terrible and an 18 month wait to replace a warren teed window is unacceptable. I am done getting the runaround from you and will be talking with lawyers to start a class action lawsuit. From the looks of the reviews I have red all over the Internet there are plenty of people having the same problem as I am. I have also contacted channel 5 and seven news. I have attached a picture of just one of the 15 windows in my home that have gone bad and cannot be replaced for at minimum of a year according to your company. My home looks terrible with these windows in it and I have spent $15,000 of wasted money in my opinion. I will warn everyone I know and then some to avoid using power home remodeling!
Desired outcome: The only outcome that is acceptable is having Warren teed windows replaced in a timely manner
Do not do business with this company I repeat do not do business with power home remodeling
Fogged Windows
I purchased $50,000.00 worth of replacement windows from Power home Remodeling group for my whole house. My decision to purchase was based on the lifetime warranty.
The initial installation went well then after a year, a couple of seals leaked, and the windows fogged. Power Home Remodeling Group came out, inspected and scheduled the replacements. That went well. The next year a total of 12 more windows fogged badly. Again, they inspected and scheduled replacements. 3 months later it turned into a circus. Guy comes out, does two windows and says he has the wrong sizes for the others and has "never done one like that before. I'll need to have someone else come out". Another 3 months go by, same story, wrong window sizes. When they didn't return, I called and the warranty department said it would be another 6 months to get my replacement windows.
It's now over a year and a half and more windows are fogging. I'm now forced to move this to a legal remedy.
Desired outcome: New windows that do not fog and, if they do, replace within a reasonable amount of time, 90 days from the date reported.
We had ~14 windows discoloring. Took over a year. More windows discolored over that time. Warranty installers said they'd order, and provide update. Never heard back 6 mo. later...Ridiculous. Personally I'd like my warranty bought out by these snake oil salesman and just forget the whole experience.
Same for me - you got it bad. So far I have only one window. Good luck with your case - will be an expensive replacement. I suspect PHRG will run and hide from this big time! I'm guessing you will be issued delay after delay hoping you will give up.
We have the exact same problem with our windows. Going on well over a year waiting on replacements.
Windows
Previous owners of our house put in a warranty claim for some windows that Power installed which frosted straight away from a gas leak. This was November 2020 and we bought the house in May 2021 with a lifetime, transferable warranty on all the windows installed by Power. Estimated install was October 2021 when we bought the house, it is now March 2022 and we have no further information despite calling several times for updates. In the meantime, Power has sent four groups of stranger over to our house to "check" on how our windows are holding up and offer us additional products. Out of curiosity, we got an estimate to replace the three remaining original windows in our front room and the lead time was three months for install, but it has been a year and a half and they can't sort out a warranty replacement. They have called us multiple times since to encourage us to move forward with the new installations and zero times to update about the warranty claim. They have also called me and also my husband dozens of times to survey us about the professionalism of the people they keep sending to our house to sell us stuff/"check on" us. Like daily, inconvenient phone calls every time a pair of salespeople show up uninvited.
Desired outcome: I want my window sashes replaced as promised under warranty. I want for nobody to ever show up at my door uninvited again. I never want to answer another phone call from Power "checking in" or asking for feedback about their non-service.
Same issue here, exact same response and wait times. I keep telling them that if they wish me to move forward, they need to replace the windows that have failed.
Let’s start a class action lawsuit. I’m all for it.
Same story here.
I agree - we are out tens of thousands (I think about $40K) and many of our windows are a disaster! We're awaiting replacement for four windows from 2 years ago; and have submitted three additional requests for other windows (I think the count is up to 12, including the initial 4)... this company is going to file for bankruptcy and we'll be left to pay for new replacement windows! I am planning to pursue legally with a local law office specializing in consumer complaints, but would agree to joining a class suit if we qualify for that... maybe I'll check with my lawyer to see what would be involved.
I am interested in joining a class action suit.
Still no windows...
We ordered our windows in October 2021. Our original install date was January 31, 2022. We were informed there may be some delay due to shipping delays, COVID, etc. Okay, we understand. Now months later, they tell us we are ready to go. We will be there between 8AM and 11 AM on March 3, 2022. We proceed to remove everything from the windows (drapes, blinds) and the area in front of the windows. So after preparing for them to come and altering three rooms, they call after 8AM and tell us we aren't coming sorry. We are paying so much money and continue to just get one excuse after another. I don't even want the windows anymore and now have to seek an attorney to see if anything can be done!
We are dealing with crazy issue and was pretty much scammed by Power Home remodeling. We purchased windows and doors. The windows were installed and all doors except one. During the process the did not communicate well at all. No Gc ever came to our house. It was a group of Hispanic workers that took all of 2 days to install. We waited about 5 more months for the last door they measured incorrectly. After completion now they are saying the finance company we were approved by through them is no longer in business. Now they are trying to finance through a different company asking us to pay 4k upfront and higher interest rates. This is crazy! I’m not sure what legal standing we have.
I am interested in pursuing a class action if anything moving forward. We had windows installed in the whole house 8 years ago. All but two of the windows have moisture and our unsightly.
I called for warranty service and it's a 3-month wait just to have somebody to come out and check them out. And a year to a year and a half delay for replacement windows.
Yes, I would join your class action suit . The same thing happened to us and still waiting over a year for replacement windows . They should honor their warranty or refund the cost 👍
I would recommend you cancel your order as quickly as possible, the company deals in excuses and sell an inferior product.
Please let me know if your interested in starting a class action lawsuit. I am done with this company and their games.
I'll join if anyone starts up a class action suit...can't even see out our stellar windows.
Take pictures and circulate with your neighbors and HOA...
I would like to speak with you.
We are having a similar problem all our windows are going bad. Covered with a film, much to our dismay. We can't get any
satisfaction from the company. Its been way over a year that we were promised our new windows, but we are still waiting. We need seventeen windows. Sheila Snow
Door and Bay window
Power home remodeling installed my front door and windows in July 2019. every year the door is giving problems snow is coming under the door, I could hear the wind blowing. The bay window has streaks in it, My Gas bill is through the roof. they installed the window, did not stain the wood panel I contacted them several times about the door and I was given an appt. in April. I have been paying the bill since 2019 it was originally $40, 000 dollars. Poor service, no prompt response.
Desired outcome: Please pay my gas bill for a year or refund me part of the money and give me a stronger and better quality door and finish the window treatment
Horrible service
Ordered windows for my home. I was told installation was in july. Called a hundred times, blamed it on covid. Finally installed in november. While the install crew was fabulous, they did install a broken window and 2 of the screens didn't fit. I was told 2 weeks they would be back out to install a new window and screens. Four months later, here I am... No window, no screens... No supervisors to talk to, on hold for hours to be told oh, its on our next truck. And guess what? Never shows up. No calls from them, no customer service, no resolution. I highly recommend not using this pathetic company. Yet, they had no issue taking my $12,000. Shame on you power
Desired outcome: Leadership to come out from under the desk and speak to the people that bring revenue into your organization. AND Compensation for the cluster F you have created for your customers
The same thing happened to me. They installed a broken window in March. They have been out twice with the wrong window. The “project managers” keep apologizing but won’t reimburse me. I submitted a complaint with BBB. Hopefully enough complaints will force them to respond appropriately.
Windows
Window purchase and installation from Power in 2015. One window seal has failed and window is frosted. Called in March 2021 and was told new sash would be ordered and appointment for replacement. Called a week later and was told that COVID has led to major backup and not to expect my order until November of 2021. Called in November and was told not until spring of 2022. Call in February 2022 and was told window replacements are taking 12-14 months.
You can read on BBB boards and many other places that Power is installing windows all throughout 2021. I gave them the benefit of doubt at first, but this is an easy repair/replacement. The warranty is no good. They are not standing behind their products or service.
I've had other windows done by Champion Windows without issues.
Desired outcome: Replace my window asap. It doesn't take this long and using COVID is tired excuse. If you cannot commit to a replacement date, then pay cost to have another company replace the window.
Called 3-2-22: Now they expect replacement window first week of April. That's 13 months after initial contact for warranty replacement.
Called 4-4-2022: Spoke to Joshua. Now the replacement is pushed out to June (2022). Joshua said previous person I spoke with was in error. The updated part replacement is 12-15 months now. Why would anyone do business with this company?
3-2-22: Called for update and told still waiting for replacement window due first week of April. That would be 13 months after first contact.
Same issue here. The company is crap.
Let’s start a class action lawsuit i am done with with company. Call and get hung up on or put on hold forever. Warranty replacements pushed out over a year and can’t see through my windows in their current state.
I'm not a lawyer, but in the documents you sign with them, there is a clause regarding class action suits. They want resolution through arbitration - no doubt retired judge on the books!
Something they learned after class action suit loss in 2016.

This site shows under window warranty that Northeast Building Products Corp made their windows. Not sure this is current - tho the site seems to be.
https://www.pella.com/how-to-buy/partners/power-by-pella/request-quote/
This site shows they are/have partnered with Pella. Not sure on the dates but perhaps this is new. Switching suppliers may have a lot to do with extremely long replacement times. Doesn't matter - that's on them.
UPDATE:
Called June 10, 2022: It has now been 15 months. Was told that replacement still not in and need another week or two. How they have an A+ rating with BBB is beyond me. over 400 bad reviews. It isn't just the number of reviews/complaints, but how bad they are. The warranty service and support is tantamount to none at all.
Poor customer service
Today is december 3, 2021, and our windows still haven't been installed. October 26th was our initial window install date. We took off work and moved furniture from the windows in each room in preparation for the install. That was a wasted day of leave. When I called phr the first time the person apologized and suggested we move our furniture back until all...

Our home was re-sided about 3 years ago. We were told there was a lifetime transferrable warranty. The first piece of siding fell off in less than a year. It took several months to have someone come to repair it. A few months ago another larger piece was blown off. We have reached out several times by letter and by phone to no avail. No reply or call back. This leaves me with at least 2 questions. 1) How good is the workmanship if a typical New England wind knocks off pieces of the siding? 2) What is a lifetime warranty worth if the company can't be reached? Answers: 1) terrible; 2) nothing!
Desired outcome: repair the siding.
The company appears to only be interseted in the initial sale, their products are extremely poor and their warranty is nothing more than toilet paper.
Windows
18 months to wait for warranty replacement windows is unacceptable. I contracted Power home remodeling group replaced my windows in 2016 for a total of $50, 000.00. They replaced 13 defective windows in 2018 under their life time warranty. In September of 2020 I had reported several more defective windows that fogged. They came out, measured and said they'd call when the windows were ready. In January 2021 they came out and said someone assured incorrectly & they'd be back with the correct windows. They returned one month later and replaced only 3 of the 12 defective windows, stating the other windows were delayed by covid. They later called and said the replacements wouldn't be in until October. I called October 15th and they stayed the replacement windows wouldn't be ready until the spring. I'm now pursuing legal action.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for defective windows
How is your legal action going? If your attorney wants or needs examples, show them this board or the bbb complaints.
Let’s start a class action lawsuit. I will go in on it! And from the looks of it so will a lot of other people.
I’m in too!
Sales in window department
We had made an appointment to get a window replacement estimate. The estimate was to take 1 to 1.5 hours. The presentation of the company took almost that long before he even measured the windows. 7+ hours later the guy was still here!!! My child and my fur babies were starving at 9 p.m., so I began making dinner. I ended up serving the sales rep dinner...

Gutters
During the 5 hour appointment with the sales rep my husband and I decided to move forward with the gutter insulation install. I was informed that the dumpster and supplies would arrive on Thursday Dec 10th that never showed up. Matter of fact the Project manager that came out to check the measurements said that they don't deliver a dumpster for this type of job. The follow-up appointment with the pre-inspection Project Manager was to ensure we understood the details of the project and reiterated the work that would be completed. During this time, he informed us our house was measured incorrectly; the difference in price was well over a grand, which was concerning, seeing I already signed the contract and was scheduled to have the gutters installed the next day. When I stated we had an agreed amount on the contract already signed he informed me that I would need to pay for the additional costs because they forgot to add additional wood. I declined stating we already had a signed contract. The project manager went to his truck to make a phone call. Now mind you The original date was Dec 3 I had 2 days to cancel or change my mind without any penalties. I didn't cancel. The day they came back was Dec 10th 7 days later, The same day the dumpster and supplies were supposed to deliver also the day before the project was to start.. When he came back to the house he informed me unless I pay the additional charges they would cancel the contract that we agreed on. I will never recommend this company, they are unprofessional and do not stand by their agreements or contracts.
I had a roof put on after Hurricane Sandy they came walking down our street preying on us. They wanted to give us an estimate. All pushing new gutters . The roof was a whopping $14,000 and $1000.00 for gutters. Oh you will be covered with a lifetime warranty. They did not replace a wet piece of wood on the roof. Gutters never put capping on the back of the house gutter. When it rains heavy The water is leaking in our house. When I called them to tell them what was going on they said it was not their problem. I wish I would have known about a class action suit and I'm still thinking of getting a lawyer for this matter.
Siding
Power Remodeling Company:
Just had siding done and it is terrible from cracked siding to sloppy work to a worker urinating in a dumpster in my driveway which is on video. I want this [censored] removed but the VP of installation says he's the only one who can help resolve this. BS. They broke my tree, broke my garage door keypad, left tons of nails in my driveway causing low air pressure in the van. I'm done. I'm reporting you to bbb and I will continue up the ladder until somebody resolves this with me. I have videos of the men sent to my house spitting on my walkway and urinating.
roofing estimating
These guys knock on your door and tell you that they are doing projects in your area and would like to offer you a free estimate. If your time is free then this is true.
Two estimators show up and make small talk. They walk around your house, go in your attic, and explain how they install a roof. This part of the process is OK.
Then they get to the pricing. They start by explaining how much energy you will save and how their competitors pricing is. This is a red flag. Then the dissect pricing down the the dollar per square foot. Finally they get to their pricing and it's at least double what you expect, but no fear they will give you a discount if you sign a contract *RIGHT NOW*. Question the value of it, they walk out and come back with another discount, walk back out to let you consider it, then walk back in and pressure you to sign *RIGHT NOW*. If you don't sign *RIGHT NOW* then the price is double (good for one year). At this point you've been with these guys for FOUR hours in the evening listening to their pitch that contains a lot of buzz words like "premium" and "super premium" and "exclusive". That's a bunch of BS and it feels like a bad date. From a technical perspective, their products are no different that what's on the shelf at your local hardware store. Just grill them about the testing certifications - UL impact testing, UL wind resistance rating, etc - and they will have to admit it to you. If you don't ask then you don't know and you get what they give you.
Bottom line: they promise a 50 year warranty, but like everyone else it's prorated. The warranty terms look just like every other roof warranty out there - they show you excerpts that sound better but the fine print is different. They promise energy savings to justify their cost, but can't guarantee that those savings will be realized. The only thing they can say is that they will start without a down payment, take a day to do the job, clean up the job site when they are done, do the work per the manufacturers specs, and then bill when the job is finished. With the exception of starting with no down payment and billing in full on completion, it's just like everyone else. Is that worth a 100% premium?
People are typically scared that contractors will run off with the down payment or abandon the job partially complete. It seems like these guys are preying off that fear to charge a 100% premium for their work. If it takes a four+ hour high pressure pitch to convince you to buy, it's probably a bad idea. Don't fall for it.
Windows replacement warranty commitment
In March 20, 2014, your company installed 6 windows on the 2nd floor of our house. (project #31-00438) We were very satisfied with your product and services. On November 3, 2015, you installed an additional 14 windows - a total of 13 on the 2nd floor and 7 on the 1st floor of our house.
In 2019, we noticed that the air seal had broken on 8 of the 13 windows you installed on the 2nd floor. On July 31, 2019, we contacted your warranty/service department to report the damaged windows and to schedule a warranty service inspection. Your agent scheduled us for a service inspection on NOVEMBER 27, 2019.
The timeliness of your warranty service inspection is UNACCAPTABLE! Waiting 4 MONTHS for your inspection is unreasonable especially considering how often your sale representatives knock on my door trying to sell me more of your products and services! Plus, after your inspection, how much longer will you delay in honoring your lifetime warranty to replace broken windows! I am VERY skeptical you will honor your warranty!
After waiting 1 month to submit our complaint, my anger and disappointment with your product, services, and company has grown instead of diminishing. Prior to noticing the 8 broken windows, we had your company replace our roof. That whole experience was a BIG nightmare! All your promises were broken. I will expound on our roofing experience in a separate complaint to follow this one. We even had a contract to replace our gutters but thankfully we cancelled it! Best thing we did! Suggest others consider doing the same.
As I stated earlier, I seriously doubt you will honor your warranty to replace the broken windows. The purpose of my complaint is to warn other consumers - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH POWERS HRG!
Dumfries, VA
I already submitted a complaint regarding POWERS windows where I concluded - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH POWERS HRG.
The details of the nightmare roofing experience I mentioned follows:
1) They tout that their installers/craftsmen are 100% on the payroll Power employees. A BLATANT lie! The workers on our project were a subcontracted day laborers hired that morning.
2) They tout that specific details of their roof design are unique and superior. Maybe yes; maybe no. Hard to say when those details were not installed on our roof.
3) The tout that they keep the work area around the house clean of debris, old & new roofing material, and roofing nails. They did not do as promised. Debris left on our deck was not cleaned up. Debris remained behind bushes at the base of the house. Plants were stepped on and killed. And roofing nails - everywhere - even to this very day we keeping finding roofing nails.
4) They say their area roofing manager/inspector will visit your job numerous times during installation. Not so. This person STATED they did not visit our roofing project until the roofers were 'finished' and we called with complaints.
5) They said installation would take 1 to 1.5 days. Our project did take more than one day. On the second day, they returned late in the afternoon to finish the roof around 7 pm. No one communicated with us on when the workers would be returning. No one at Powers had any knowledge on the progress of our roofing project. Item 4) confirms this.
6) As with their windows, they tout the roof has a lifetime warranty. Based on the experience with our windows, I doubt they will honor that warranty.
As other complainants have stated, "Don't open your door for their salesperson!" DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH POWERS HRG!
Dumfries, VA
Adding to the thread to hopefully persuade others NOT to do business with Power Home Remodeling. Their products seem to be inferior and their warranty is useless and has now been compouned by COVID excuses. In our case we have been waiting 18 months for replacements, but the company can call to sell new windows that are only 3 months out. As others have indicated, go anywhere else.
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Beware! If all of the above comments were not enough i am here standing with the very same problems EVERYONE is having. Terrible terrible windows with cloudy film. I have a total of 15 windows in my house. 14 of those windows are currently terrible and need to be replaced. Someone came out and looked and said it would be a year or more before i could get them replaced because of “covid”. Meantime they are taking NEW ORDERS instead of taking care of those who paid them 1000’s of dollars for windows that were put in already. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. BUYER BE VERY AWARE! If anyone is interested in starting a class action lawsuit i am more that willing to put the work in to get it started and rolling. Enough is enough.
My husband & I agree. They are an all around inferior company to deal with esp concerning their defective windows which have been replaced so often. Steer clear of anything they have to offer. Our dealings with them have been nothing less of a nightmare from start to finish. Read all the reviews on them from all sources. Ck the bbb & your county & local consumers' bureaus. No reputable company would have that many negative complaints & reviews as they do! That just tells you to AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR TIME & DON'T CONTRACT WITH THEM!
windows
The gentleman who initiated the sale informed my husband and me that our energy bill would lower over time. No modifications necessary on our part since the windows are double pane, bounce heat off, slightly tinted, etc. My husband and I continue to receive high (I mean high) energy bills since our windows were completed in June. Absolutely disgusted with this company and will never recommend this company to anyone.

On June 7, we had our roof replaced by Powerhrg. Included in the work was to fix a rotted beam and to replace any plywood that had mold on it. The roof looks good from the outside, but the attic still has a shoddily replaced partial beam and black stained plywood.
We would like someone to come out and look at our attic with the intention of either fixing it, or refunding us part of our payment.
We contracted with them that same day to do our gutters, fascia and soffits, but we will be cancelling that order if this is the quality of their workmanship.
We would like a response as soon as possible.
installation caused loss of electricity
To Whom It May Concern: I had windows and doors replaced on 5-31-19, my mother was there with the crew and when I returned from work. I went to check on what had been done. At that time I noticed the electricity in my basement room that the door was replaced in is no longer working. I contacted PHR today (6-1-19) and spoke to Ryan Vech. He explained since...

We did not even get a chance to talk with this company, and I will never allow them to my home, or recommend them to a neighbor. They called to schedule an appointment for a free quote on Saturday, March 23rd at 10am. The day before, I received an email they will be here. However, on Saturday, we waited around until almost 11:30a with no call, no show. I tried to find an number on their email to me, and there was no contact information. I was able to find a generic email, and told them they fell through on the follow up, and we were unpleased. I said in my email would be looking elsewhere for the estimate on the job of replacing 25 windows.
Today, Monday, March 25th (at noon), I had a rude young guy call...speaking quickly, "we received a message to reschedule your appointment"...I told him polietly, "no, you guys never showed on Saturday, and did not call with courtsey to let us know". I said we were not interested, as you stood us up. He said, "OK", and hung up on me.

Me and my wife would love to join your class action lawsuite as we are going through the same thing with our windows. Please contact us with any details you need to help get this started.
I would join your class action suit.
So would I... please find a way to connect with other dis-satisfied customers. Face-book page to start? I'm not super savvy with social media, but am planning to pursue legally as well. How do we stay in touch? B. Hunsberger/Souderton, PA
It is important to do research for any financial transaction. I will NEVER use this company. They come into your community to allegedly schedule Free Estimates good for two years. The reps they send out to schedule appointments are very professional. however, when you speak with the rude person in the office calling to confirm your appointment time, he tries tp presses you to have anyone that will be responsible for making a decision at the table for the estimate even though it was clearly communicated that the project will be done within a year or two. I am the Homeowner, I make the decisions and am highly offended. I Do Not negotiate any deals or contracts with ANYONE without comparison shopping and vetting the company trying to earn my business. I canceled my free estimate today. Why would there be a need to discuss financing on the same day the Free Estimate is done? Are you kidding me? That's why I had another company replace my roof instead of Power Home.. Based on the reviews and complaints, I know that I made the correct decision.
