rip off
Two months ago I ordered flowers for my mother through ProFlower to be delivered in another state.
The bill was unexpectedly higher than anticipated or was stated by the ProFlowers sales representative because of additional "fuel fees."
Then, for the past two months, I have been billed $14.95 on my credit card for an Easy Saver service that I know nothing about nor authorized.
I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General for a fraud scam and working toward getting a full refund.
I highly recommend anyone against using ProFlowers for their "services." It is a rip-off!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
charging my credit card without my authorization
purchased flowers from ProFlowers on line and they offer free shipping. When I did that free shipping.com charged $1.95 on my credit card(without my authorization) Have spoken to them and they are supposed to credit my account. However I went on today and found $1.00 each posted for insiders club and encore market. This is some gimmick they use. I want to be sure that my account is credited. My credit card was supposed to be use for my flowers I ordered only.

Automatic cancellation. We'll see if it works..
I am in the same situation...they continue to charge me $14.95 monthly for the membership? There's no way to get ahold of them and they can't be contacted. I've called the number 3 times...what next? Its so frustrating...any suggestions?
encore marketing cann't charge it wiyhout my authorized.that is robbery..
"I just noticed the same charges on my account. I called the [protected] number and got through to someone immediately. They cancelled my account and reversed the charges...hopefully!"
Same here. They initially offered to remove 5 months worth, so I asked how long I've had the service. They said 9. Then cancel all 9 months I said. She did without hesitation. Supposed to be getting the refund within 1-2 billing cycles...something tells me I may be calling back, but we'll see!

I had the same problem. I bought something at www.redenvelope.com and they (actually RedEnvelope Rewards) offered a $15 coupon for my next purchase. The tricky part is that RedEnvelope Rewards' URL is www.redenveloperewards.com (similar enough to make me believe this is the same company) and seems to be managed by Encore Marketing. I cannot recall any notice of the monthly $1.95 fees.
My CC company sorted the $1.95. I will boycott companies - such as www.redenvelope.com - that affiliate themselves with Encore Marketing and their dubious business practice. I feel that www.redenvelope.com breached my privacy by passing my personal details – including my cc-details – to a 3rd party.
what the hell is the Encore Marketing doing? I got charged $14.95 every month and $1.95 at the beginning.
yes i ordered from haband a pair of shoes. 15% off. got charged $1.95. same thing happened a year ago, but that was $14.95. i got them removed but this is ridiculous. there is no mention of that. they offer you A discount and then charge you for it?same company haband. do they think you won't notice? bs dispute those charges put them out.
no disclosure at all
My American Expr Card has been charged since July 2008 with an unauthorized amount of US14.95 after a purchase to Proflowers. I reported the case to my bank and they are carrying an investigation. I live in Colombia, South America, and as I can see several clients have been robbed in the same way! What can we do to reclaim our money back and to prevent the issue in the future? elsa.rodriguez50@gmail.com
Same thing happened to me. I ordered Pro-flowers at Christmas. Now two months later, Encore Marketing starts billing my credit card. I am disputing the charge and will call these jerks on Monday! Don't order from pro-flowers anymore!
taking extra cash out of my acct
For mothers day I sent flowers using them and at the end they asked me nicely if I wanted 15 bucks off my next purchase. I said why not and entered my email. Well that gave them permission (in very fine writing)to take out 24.95 bucks that month and 14.95 every month until I call the Encore Marketing group and cancel it. I just noticed it... So the 2 dozen roses cost me like 150 bucks in total
It appears to me that anyone looking at the number of complaints against Pro Flowers and their partner groups would get at least a HINT that there is something wrong with the way this "special" is offered.
The above post from ProFlowers is just a lie and a part of the scam!
A lot of you are saying that you can't get through to anyone when you call the 877 numbers to cancel (877.564.8538/877.844.9554). I did a little research it turns out that these companies are owned/operated by a company called Encore Marketing International.
So... let's CALL THEM and tell them how big of ### they are for perpetuating these frauds/scams... below is a list of employees and the main number to Encore; if you call a receptionist will put you through to them... CALL THEM NOW IF YOU'RE FURIOUS ABOUT THEM STEALING FROM YOU:

Hi,
I'm an employee of ProFlowers and I saw your post. As an employee of ProFlowers, I thought I would take the opportunity to try to clarify our Easy Saver program and the enrollment process.
After you make a purchase on our site, we offered you the opportunity to sign up with Easy Saver Rewards, a partner program which offers our customers a multitude of discounts and services. As an incentive to try the program, we offer customers a $15 gift code which can be used on our site.
In order to sign up for the program and receive the coupon, the customer needs to enter their email address and zip code to confirm their acceptance of the terms and conditions. Within the terms directly to the left of the "accept" button are clearly stated, both the enrollment process and the charge of the program. We always encourage our customers to provide feedback on making this process clearer as our goals are not to have customers entered in a program that they do not wish to be in. Cancelling is very simple; customers can call [protected] if they no longer wish to be part of the service.
This is not intended to be "in fine writing" or anything like that. It's simply an incentive to try out a discount program that we think our customers will find valuable.
It's clear by the tone of this post that you did not intend to enroll in this program. I would love to help you find a resolution which would lead you to be fully satisfied. Please contact me at MKlimen@proflowers.com.
ProFlowers takes our customers and their concerns very seriously. We hope that customers reading this email will understand that we are not acting in a malicious manner in which these posts reflect.
Thank you.

ProFlowers
deceptive marketing
I ordered flowers through Pro Flowers and at the end of the order form you could input your e-mail for a 30 day free trial for discount on services. I did so and when I didn't call back to cancel, they automatically billed my credit card for monthly charges of $14.95/month. I think that this is a very sneaky way for a company to make money and I will certainly think twice about using Pro Flowers again.
My husband used our ATM card to order flowers from Pro Flowers back in May. At the end of the confirmation, a message asked if he wanted to get info about discounts on air fare, theatre, etc. Nothing was mentioned about any monthly fee. He said yes. Well, it turns out we were enrolled in a monthly "club" and that we have been having deductions of $14.95 each month for "Super Savers club." My husband never would have answered yes if he was told we would be paying monthly fees. We have never received any info about special fares, etc., either. I was behind in balancing the checkbook so I didn't notice until now (Dec. 3). The charge listed a phone number of [protected], which is the number for Encore Marketing, which apparetly is the mastermind behind this scheme. I called Enclore and they cancelled our "'membership." But meanwhile we've lost $14. 95 a month for several moths. In some months they deducted the charge twice in the same month. This company is not on the up-and-up.
They got me too. I was reviewing my statement, and there were charges for $14.95 that appeared every month since march of 2009. it appeared as "EZsaver" apparently they use a negative form of marketing that you have to opt out in order to not be charged. This is clearly deceptive marketing. If you can't make money in business by being ethical, than you shouldn't be in business. This is a legal way of robbery. I want my money back, and I plan to pursue it 'till I do.
Wanna hear the kicker? They bill every month, minus two or three days, so that they can bill you 14 times in one year. nice little trick. These people are con artists, not businessmen.
I recently bought hydroxy face lift creams from hydroxy I thought. 2 weeks after using it I called and complained of a rash and that I wasnt interested in their product any longer. I was told by Rashay to try the product a different way, which only made things worse. Now I find out that 2 other co. have my debit card # saying I agreed to join their membership[American Lesure], [Easy
Please dont ever order hydroxy products, they give your credit card # to others American Lesure, Easy Saver charged me 33.00 plus I owe 60.00 in overdraft fees that they refuse to pay. Joe 4502 very unprofessional unsatisfied, Michele Secondine
called pro flowers as i got charged 14.95 just today..

Be aware that ordering clothing from Blair results in the same scam. And the clothes are of very cheap quality, including their more expensive items.
Same thing happened to me.
I bought some flowers at ProFlowers.com and I was charged $14.95 a month by a company named Encore Marketing International.
The flowers weren't even nice. They looked great on the website, but when they arrived we had to throw them away since they were already badly wilted.
I wonder if ProFlowers.com is even in the business of selling flowers or just in the business of screwing over their customers with this Encore Marketing International business.
I ordered flowers through Pro Flowers and, they automatically billed my credit card for monthly charges of $14.95/month. I do not know why, asI did not sign up or anything.I think that this is an illegal way for a company to make money and I will not use Pro Flowers again.
add on charges
I ordered a bouquet for my Mother, who is in a nursing home in another state. Since that time, other companies somehow affiliated with the ProFlowers.com website have been adding charges onto the same credit card I used for the flowers. Also, I have been flooded with spam email. While ProFlowers has removed the charges, the other companies keep adding charges, and sending span. It was a one time deal, just to send flowers one time to an ill woman. Now I have to keep calling people to have the charges removed, but the credit card company bills for interest for the month the charge is still in the card. Had I known what a hassle it would be, I would have simply located a flower shop near the nursing home, and let them handle the arrangements. I won't use ProFlowers ever again. Not worth the trouble and time.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
fraud and cheating
I ordered flowers through Pro Flowers and then all of a sudden appearing on the credit card was a bill from Easy Saver. At first my husband thought it was something I had ordered. Then when we were billed again he checked with me and absolutely NOT did I order anything from Easy Saver. I called Pro Flowers and they said when they offer you free shipping it goes to Easy Saver. They seemed to know how this Easy Saver worked and that people weren't aware of what they were getting when offered this free shipping. It's a SCAM and I reported to my credit card company and they will contact Security Services of this fraudulent billing of Easy Saver and Pro Flowers.
As CEO of 4 companies I win be honest with you all and say this in a straightforward manner. I used Proflowers in the past without issues. However! This Mother's Day I ordered flowers from their site after not using it few a few years. I ordered my flowers on Friday and had them set to be delivered on Sun. That is not overnight. I didn't check additional boxes. I myself work regularly with affiliates so FYI just because a company works with a group of affiliates doesn't give those said affiliates the right to charge your credit card for services. I also in my college days worked customer service so the policy was the customer should be treated with respect. There goes the argument about yelling back and treating people like crap because they try to tell you your job that that earlier gentleman mentioned. You do your job honestly to your best of your abilities. Oh incidently, I paid 39.99 for my flowers was added on $14.99 by Proflowers for weekend delivery until my total reached almost $70. Then to my amazement Proflowers never even delivered my Mother's Day Flowers! I cancelled my credit card after spending all day on the phone with numerous reps who had no idea what they were talking about but were more interested in my personal information than my order number which of course I didn't provide, I recorded the names of each person's name asked repeated as did my husband for a supervisor, was told a supervisor would return my call in half an hour. I am sending my lawyers after this company. I have them on failure to deliver goods, attempting to ascertain personal information, and impersonation of a true company. I have filed under the BBB a case against Proflowers, and alerted them to let them know. This is unjust to small business owners everywhere. Is t b at clear enough for everyone? I have documentation but since it contains my personal information I will let the authorities handle it. No one pulls one over on me!
been charged without knowing 11.97 would like a refund
unautherized charge on my debit card with out pin.
As I had worked in the floral industry, from the nurseries & growers, right on down to flower shops, I can tell you that ProFlowers is far from being "pro" anything aside from "pro scammers." While I did not fall for the ploy of "free shipping, " I did get quite the runaround for delivery (for a funeral/viewing of 1 evening, yikes!) & was disgusted with what was sent as it looked absolutely nothing like the picture, even with "upgrades" & I actually took the card identifying us as being the senders off so as not to be embarrassed even more than I already was knowing others had already seen it. I should have known better & just called the local flower shop of the town the funeral home was in, but wanted to give PF a try. As consumers, we deserve better than what most corporate/conglomo sorts give us, especially as inflation is making it harder to stretch our meager pay. A friend of mine got totally ripped off by PF for a Mother's Day arrangement of which she was double billed for & had to wait 2 months for the money to be put back onto her credit card, got suckered into the "free delivery" scam all too commonly known & experienced by others here, did not have delivery of the flowers until the Wednesday after Mother's Day & to add insult to injury, the flowers were all but dead by then from the travel in hot Floridian weather & absolutely NOTHING was done to defray the costs except an offer of $25 off the next order of $100 or more. While the cost will be higher, I can assure you that if you order online using FTD, you'll be a much more satisfied customer & I still kick myself in the butt for not remembering this when I ordered the disaster sent to the funeral & not suggesting it to friends who need flowers send to a far-away place. FTD is hardcore & all about keeping a happy customer & supplier bank. I know 1sthand that they insist on top quality flowers to be used & that the arrangements be identical to those pictured in their books or on the website (unless the customer wants it changed) & you'll always be pleased by the treatment given to you by those at FTD or the florists they connect you with, so let these horror stories that other consumers experienced be a shared lesson & be sure to spend your money wisely & confidently with those deserving of it, not just the most convenient or most advertised. (Contrary to the kook who rambled on about how if PF has lots of TV/Radio/Print ads means that they are doing very well, blah blah blah, I've learned it is often those businesses that are circling the drain that put out parades of ads to drum up business. So Mr./Ms. Ill-Advised Foulmouth; chew on that a while before delivering your next rant about how GREAT PF is.)
Some of these comments are unbelievably offensive - as if using disgusting language proves anything! The SHOCK effect conveys nothing except the limitations of the writer. A better education might have prevented their language skills! And if the big money behind ProFlowers.com and the huge staff of lawyers allows them to bully the public into being cheated, that is a very very sad comment on our American system! Reputable companies do not behave like that.
Proflowers is obviously misrepresenting their prices. I have no problem with service fees and the like, but if they are a standard cost built into every transaction (as I have been told by two people at ProFlowers), then it should be factored into the final price ahead of the purchase. Other companies who've tried this approach have lost in the end. ProFlowers should heed this for fear of repeating history for themselves. I will no longer be doing business ever with this company as their are far better and less costlier options. Proflowers should be shut down in the meantime.
HAHAHA this is too rich. so what, you're not the same exact thing? Everyone of these people who posted above me and before me, including me, and including you, are the "big man behind a computer without a face or name". How the [censor] else would I post this opinion? I did exactly what they did but refuted their ignorance. There's where I stand, in comparison to you, let's see what you did to try and dispute my points. Let's go over the fallacies in your pointless response:
"Really dude, big man behind a computer without a face or name" - First off, I'm a woman, you pig.
"who reads the fine fine print...don't even tell me you do...[censor] [censor]"- Competent people read the fine print, as for the "fine fine print" I guess you got me on that one, I didn't know there was such a thing.. so you're right, I don't read the "fine fine print" because there's no such thing, [censor] [censor]. And as for the '[censor] [censor]', it honestly just made me laugh as I read it because you try to make it dramatic with the ... and then you end with an insult my 14 year old niece could have come up with.
"Proflowers needs to go away"- like it's the smelly bum on the street corner trying to score meth. It has no where to go away to, the people demand it to stay and I'm sure business is booming. I hear advertisements for them all the time still, and they're only getting more popular, so there's no point even saying that, it's a corporation. It has rights all the same individual rights as any other American, but more influence that exercise those rights.
"when someone buys flowers, then somehow.. blah blah blah"- Haha again, I don't believe you even read the post before you responded. It's not some [censor]ing mysterious thing that happens. I explained exactly what occurs for someone to enroll in that program, and YES, they did have to give permission for Proflowers to forward the credit info to the affiliate. That's why you will still find Proflowers and free shipping to be in business to this day. They aren't sweating anything, they have entire legal teams to show exactly how it isn't a scam lol. You people are like medieval [censor]ing villagers when it comes to finances and legality. Just because you say it's a scam, doesn't make it one in the eye of our judicial system. That's where the importance lies, [censor].
A class action lawsuit? Oh please. That'll never happen, why don't you try to be the big man who stands up to them and goes to the local news and tells them how you're going to be the great hero of the people and save them from being lured and tricked into giving away permission to release their information. We'll see how quickly you get hit with a slap suit. Come on, big guy.
And jesus christ, on a personal note, after reading "it thats where the [censor]en scam lies [censor]", I decided it would help you to take a [censor]ing grammar class or two. I mean, [censor]in A... "it thats", really? At least use the goddamn spell check before you post [censor]ed [censor] in the future.
And I appreciate your inability to be original, I'm sure no one has ever had a reason to tell this to you before but imitation is the greatest form of flattery, [censored].
Really dude, big man behind a computer without a face or name.
who reads the fine fine print...don't even tell me you do...[censor] [censor].
Proflowers needs to go away.
when someone buys flowers, then some how gets setup with a monthly charge from some unknown affiliate..it's wrong.. people didn't give this other place their credit info.. Pro flowers did.. it thats where the [censor]en scam lies [censor].
We'll see how it ends up in a class actions suit..."[censored]!"
You're all a bunch of dumb[censor]s. Learn to read the fine print, use your [censor]ing brains, and take some goddamn responsibility and time for the sake of your own stupidity. All of the disclaimers for their affiliate programs are disclosed in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS of the programs they do business with. And the only way to enroll in these programs, is for YOU to authorize them by either entering your e-mail address, or your zipcode. Have you ever gone to a gas station and instead of asking for your pin, the machine asks you to enter your zipcode? It's a form of authorization that YOU authorize. One of those businesses they affiliate with is freeshipping.com. It says before you even place the order, that you will get a free shipping REBATE. Key word, dumb [censor]s, REBATE. No need to dig deep in the terms and conditions to understand how this works, maybe you should dig deep into those dictionaries instead. With ANY rebate, you still pay shipping or whatever is being rebated and expect to be refunded for it at later time. They don't ever send flowers by "regular UPS ground" either, [censored]. They use priority shipping and send every bouquet out overnight from their fields. It doesn't make sense financially for them to let the flowers sit in a shipping warehouse for "5 days" because shipping warehouses charge for taking up the space, and with their "7 day freshness guarantee", which is unconditional, it's not very cost effective to purposely allow their flowers to die and send them out just to [censor] up your wife's birthday. Your wife is a hoe anyway, and I'm sorry for her that she has to be married to such a dumb [censor] like you, who can [censor] up something as simple as ordering flowers from a website. This is what you pay shipping for: They're having a driver drive hundreds of miles in some cases to transport you flowers from their fields. The cost of gas alone is fair when you consider how much they charge. They also DO disclose that there are additional shipping charges for certain days, but those are not determined by their company, those are determined by the carriers(FedEx and UPS). Once again, those carriers also charge for storage space, so you're paying for proflowers to guarantee the delivery trucks will keep space for your flowers to even be delivered. You're also paying for them to package up the flowers neatly and box them up, as is their tradition to ensure they ship safely. If you got an agent that was hostile to you, maybe you should take a second to reflect on the tone that YOU started the conversation off with. My mother used to work at proflowers many years ago as a simple customer service rep, and more often than not, stupid [censor]s like you people took your anger out on her for simple mistakes that were out of anybody's hands. In those cases, the customer service rep is justified in being cold and harsh to you. Why shouldn't they be? They're not there to take your [censor], and listen to you try to tell them the policies of their company. They're there to defend the company and educate, by fixing the mistakes and apologizing. Mistakes happen, grow up and realize that. Lose your mightier than thou attitudes, and take the time to educate yourselves, rather than spreading stupid, mob mentality [censor]. Florist flowers come from fields just like proflowers in many cases, the only difference is, you're not dealing with the delivery directly, you're paying the middleman florist to overcharge you for flowers that will die after a day or two in most cases, without any sort of guarantee. I worked for UPS for many, many years, and I always had to say proflowers reps went above and beyond to fix delivery issues that we were clearly at fault for. They don't screw anybody out of their money, every single one of those companies(including their affiliates) refund you if you signed up by mistake or got bad flowers. You run into problems if you're a conceited [censor] who thinks the world is out to get him, and who thinks this isn't your own fault that you're in a program all of a sudden. Let me tell you, IT IS. IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT. You're never going to get this company "in trouble" because they can pay radio stations thousands of dollars to advertise them, what can you do? [censor] on some [censor] website to a bunch of other stupid neanderthals who surprisingly know how to use a computer? Exactly. This corporation is a million times bigger than you, and for every one of you who claim it's a scam, and waste your time calling the BBB and District Attorneys, there are teams of corporate lawyers and thousands upon thousands of satisfied customers to shut you down and shut you up. If you can't afford one $50 bouquet of flowers, how are you going to try and convince us that you can afford to take on a multimillion dollar corporation? I mean wow, let's step out of fantasy land. And to the [censored] who "couldn't find the ToU for the membership" on the proflowers site, no [censor]ing duh you didn't find it, it's NOT THEIR COMPANY. It's an affiliate. Meaning, a separate business, with a separate website, and separate "ToU" than from proflowers. Believe it or not, there are people who aren't cheap in this world, who DO benefit from these programs because they place many, many orders online, and find benefit in having a membership program that discounts their 5 flower orders a month 15 dollars each time. There are also people who benefit from having a membership service that rebates thousands of websites for the multiple orders they place, and can afford to place, online. I'm a member of freeshipping.com myself, you know why? Because I can place multiple orders each month, and after the first one the membership is paid off and then I can begin to reap the benefits of free shipping rebates. I can almost guarantee the company doesn't give a [censor] about you poor [censor]s who spend $35, and then act like it's the end of the world when it doesn't go right. That's why they will always offer those affiliate programs, for the people who can afford them, for the people who matter. For the people who are going to be pleasant to do business with, and who are going to pour more money into the company(and their affiliates) than all of you pathetic cry babies combined. If you're never going to use their business again, why should they get rid of a program that benefits the wealthy people who do? It's a way of weeding out all you cheap and difficult customers, if you ask me. I've also realized many of you are liars. I've gone through the proflowers order process many, many times, and always at the end there is a final page that asks you to REVIEW THE ORDER and then CONFIRM IT. This is the chance for you to see EVERYTHING you're about to be charged for, as well as giving you an opportunity to close the order out if you disagree with the prices. There is more to all of your stories than you're letting out, and it's not fair of YOU to mislead other people who might potentially find this service enjoyable. You are the scam artists. Don't listen to these simple minded people who don't understand how businesses work. Take it from a TRUE customer of a TRULY legitimate business, that proflowers is worth the investment. I've done my own business with them for years(personally through flower orders & privately through past work with UPS), had a family member who worked for them briefly, and there isn't a better quality company for the price and service. Just don't be ignorant like the people above, and make sure you know what you're getting yourself into, and if you find yourself with a problem, RESPECTFULLY give them a chance to correct it and you'll get the same in return.
This place is totally fraudulent. Something that starts off with a price of $24.99 will end up costing you twice that. They don't show you your totals until you've already submitted your order. Plus you get get false promises of free shipping rebates that require you to join a club. Total FALSE scam artists. Do not buy from here.
membership scams
I recently ordered flowers from this co. They were beautiful and delivered on time. When I got my bank statement I noticed 2 unfamiliar charges. When I called the numbers in question, I was told I signed up for free shipping and hotel deals when I placed my flower order. I do not need either of these services and would not sign up for them. I feel that the web site was very deceiving. The charges were for $14.95 and $71.88.
I AGREE. I NOTICED DISCREPANCIES, SNEAKY PRACTICES WHEN I WAS ORDERING AND I DIDN'T PLACE THE ORDER. SITE/BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE HORRENDOUS !
i had the same problem. if you go to freeshipping.com and unsubscribe, you may be able to get back the $71.88. i was refunded the money the day after i unsubscribed.
poor quality product & poor service
I recieved 2 dozen roses via ProFlowers from my friend in Hawai'i about 2 weeks ago, but the order arrived in very poor shape and the flowers never opened. Instead they just continued to get more and more dry and blackened, despite my having read and followed the care instructions. When my friend asked about the flowers, I had to tell her that they were very poor quality.
She contacted your company and told me that a replacement order was being sent. Today, FedEx delivered another ProFlowers box. Inside were one dozen mixed roses.
These flowers also were in very poor condition, particularly the red ones. I am very disappointed and intend to tell all my friends and relatives that your company provides an inferior product and is not honorable about making good on guarantees. I have taken pictures of the flowers and intend to email them to my friend so that she can see your product's condition. I also intend to post the photos along with this story on a consumer website so that others may be advised of your product quality and the level of your concern regarding customer satisfaction.
I had a similar experience. I received a dozen mixed roses for Mother's Day along with a box of chocolates. First off, I was surprised that assembly was required. Although it arrived with a vase, the flowers were not arranged. They were delivered on a Thursday, and despite following the care instructions, those roses that actually opened, were fully open by Friday morning, petals falling off by the afternoon and drooping by Friday evening. Even the flowers that never opened up, were drooping long before Mother's Day ever arrived. It was a huge disappointment. Unlike you, I never told the sender about my inferior "arrangement." I called customer service to complain and they offered to send out a replacement, but a dozen dead roses was enough for me. I am glad I did have this experience though, because now I know NOT TO EVER order flowers from Proflowers!
very disappointed
I ordered flowers through ProFlowers to be delivered that evening with a shipping charge of about 20.00. I get a call the next day saying the flowers were never delivered; they would send a letter apologizing along with an upgrade. The next day I call to try to get a refund for the same day shipping I paid for. I found the flowers were never delivered because the florist needs gas money? They told me they would give me 10 percent back? Horrible Service- This was for a women who just lost her husband; so sad. I warn anyone who needs flowers to actually arrive! I will never use ProFlowers again.

deceitful practices
I discovered a charge on my American Express bill from a company known as Easy Saver Rewards Program for $14.95 a month. I thought this was a charge for my internet service due to it being same amount. The charges continued from at least June 2007. When I called Easy Saver Rewards, they indicated that I was "signed up" for the service when I checked a "free shipping" box on an order with Pro Flowers. Pro Flowers substantiated the way in which enrollment in the Easy Saver program occurred and referred to my checking the free shipping box and adding my zip code was my electronic signature and acceptance.
I canceled the "Easy Saver" program participation and demanded a full refund. I alerted American Express to the scam. I also have canceled a recent order with ProFlowers and notified them that they have lost a repeat customer. Any company which uses personal information for automatic enrollment in another company's service is engaging in deceitful business practices.

Subject: Pro-Flowers Deceptive Practices?
On 15 May 2009 I placed an order with your company. My credit card activity showed the order placed with Pro-Flowers as well as two charges to a company named Easy Savers. When I called the 800 hundred number listed next to the Easy Saver charges I was told that by ordering from Pro-flowers and clicking on the free gift box that was on the screen after I placed my order I approved the charges. When I explained that I did not knowingly do that they agreed to remove the charges from my credit card. I consider myself a well educated senior citizen and pretty vigilant about scams but this one fits into the deceptive category. How could you, Pro-Flowers, you tricked me into a credit card charge with a free gift offer?
This morning I visited your sight and you have two such things lurking on your order page, Easy Saver shows up when you click the box that say "Gift For You Click to Claim" and still another company name shows up when you click on the "Congratulations: This order qualifies for a Free Shipping Rebate." God only knows what would be charged to my credit card if I clicked on that link.
I had always loved your flowers but now I am even afraid to visit your site for fear that I will entrap myself again. Are you so desperate for profit that now you must be so deceptive?
deceptive &free shipping&
Pro Flowers.com claimed they had a $15 shipping credit when ordering flowers. Come to find out the credit is available through Easy Saver which charges a monthly fee. Very Deceptive!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I ordered from Pro Flowers and I saw that 15.00 Rebate saving too. But I noticed the it did indicate that you would be charged a monthly fee if you do not cancel your membership w/in so many days. So, I read and I did not go for that Easy Saver and my card hasn't been charged. You have to really pay attention to what you sign up for.
Proflowers ripped me off as well. My bank got right on the issue and got all of my money back. They had tagged me for four months, the same four months I was out of the country. They're tricky in that they ding your credit card for $1.99 the first month then go after you for 14.99 each additional month. Proflowers are nothing but rip off scam artists. Do not use them. Bill Handel should be ashamed of representing them on his morning program on KFI 640 (Southern California) and pushing them.
People tend to trust Bill Handel... I don't, not any more.
Pro Flowers is trying to pull the same scam with me on something called Free Shipping. I am in the process of disputing the charges. I would not do business with Pro Flowers.
Pro Flowers also spams you repeatedly after you order from them. I would not do business with them. They are basically collecting your information so that they and their shady affiliates can send you advertising and try to rip you off with "free offers".
unauthorized charges!
I had ordered flowers online from ProFlowers aka 800 ProFlowers. Recently I checked my bank account, just to check on it, and noticed a 14.95 charge from Easy Saver. Apparently when you enter your email address somewhere it gives you a free 30 day trial then gets your Credit Card info FROM ProFlowers! and starts charging your account! How crazy!? Well anyway I called to have it refunded and the women I spoke with said it should be refunded. I would NOT Advise using ProFlowers, because they are associated with this "Easy Saver" company. Also, the number on your statement will not work. Call [protected], this is Easy Saver's member services. Hopefully this can help someone else. Apparently, coming to this complaint board before ordering anywhere isn't a bad idea.
I was a victim of the Pro Flowers/Easy Saver scam. I bought flowers for my mother's birthday and was enrolled in this Easy Saver progam without my knowledge. This company has been taking $14.95 out of my bank account since 4/2008. I did call and complain and Pro Flowers said I would be refunded my money. I have not seen a refund yet. This company should be put out of business.
order flowers for mother day from pro flowers somehow i was enrolled at easy saver and charged 1.95 and 14.95 i called and complainted also cancelled
I'm so upset this proflowers is a scam . Just today i found out that i owe my bank over hundred dollars. Because of Proflowers EZ Saver got my info . When i didnt even give them any of my info. Been on the phone with proflowers they dont care and thats really all i can say about them. I think we need to put something on facebook or on you tube about this scam. I still dont know how to pay for this. Somebody needs to do something or should i say we need to do something about this. Help!.
yes this happend to us too it took us more than 8 months to figure that out. we definatly need to file a complain
I fell victim to the same scam! Except it took me 5 months worth $14.95/mo deductions before I had it stopped. Lame flowers ended up costing me over $200. What a rip off pro flowers and easy saver is! They should be heavily fined and put out of business before they take more of peoples hard earned money.
Yup, this exact thing happened to me. Two months of charges before I caught it. I was able to recover, but clearly this is a scam on Proflowers part. I will never ever use them again. Better to just order local. Sad...
unauthorized charges!
Purchased flowers for my mother funeral (2/07) for the pass years a charge of $10.00 per month has been coming out of my checking account from a company called Reservation Rewards. I called them and they stated that I signed up through Proflowers last year. I told them I did not, I only ordered flowers. They told me they were a coupon agency. Why would I buy coupons when I am buying flowers for a funeral? They then tell me that they pay Proflowers and Justflowers to add this feature to their website. Well the only way that Reservation Rewards got my bank information is through Proflowers. I have complained to the BBB for whatever good that does. Beware this company and others like it are rips offs and do not appreciate your business or they would not participate in ripping off the customer for more personal gain!
You are right proflowers.com bills you for addtional unauthorized fees!
They are baiting and switching by adding fees after they advertise (on tv) a different, lower price. I cancelled my order and demanded a refund. luckily I paid through paypal and went to paypal immediately to cancel the recurring monthly fees that proflowers.com was trying to drain out of my account. please everyone out there, pay with paypal when you can. it is easy to sign up for and you have protection! you do not have to directly give your account or card number to the merchant! paypal has never let me down in 2 1/2 years.! also, when possible put an erroneous name in the billing area when ordering from a company you are unfamiliar with and a fake phone number, so they don't bug you. use your real email, so you know what is going on with your order and can have legit proof of their communication with you
I don't know who this chump is talking about proflowers.com and taking up for them, but he is obviously a sell out who probably didn't even graduate high school. Your company is a rip of, there are thousands of reviews that are out there about how your company is a rip off. We are all going this to the Better Business Bureau to file complaints against your business, i have already filed, but the more people that file the better this will be to get a company of thieves and off the market who aim to do nothing more the bait and switch. Everyone at pro flowers.com has no common sense and no idea of how a business should operate, you guys are the dumbest people to walk this planet. Everyone should go to www.bbb.org and seach for proflowers.com and then file a complaint. thanks
unauthorized charges
I just noticed this charge from Easy Saver and called their number on my credit card statement. I complained and asked how many times did the billing appear. MAKE SURE YOU ASK THAT QUESTION before you ASK FOR A REFUND. I had no problem getting the credit back to my card. I was on the call for about 3 minutes and "WON" BACK 4 x $14.95. They said it would...

I was also ripped off by their "easy saver" scam. They trick you into entering your email address and zip code in a POPUP window when you place your order. The POPUP window claims to give you a coupon for the next order and says NOTHING about automatically signing you up for a $15 monthly rippoff.
If this is not outright fraud, I don't know what is. Their customer service person on the phone said they would refund my money but I am going to call our credit card company tomorrow and do a chargeback on them anyway to make sure it costs them money in the long run.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM PROFLOWERS.COM
RIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF!
When my husband sent me a huge bouquet of orchids for my birthday in April, I was pleased. Why would you allow Easy Saver to rip us off for $14.99 every month since our last order with Pro Flowers. We have used Pro Flower about 6 times and have been well satisfied with our purchases. We will NEVER use Pro Flowers again and I will do my best to tell everyone what a terrible company Pro Flower is by allowing such a scam to be perpetrated on loyal customers. I emailed ProFlowers and got a stupid reply from Kit Medina that read, " In order to enroll and receive the coupon, you must enter your email address and zip code which is the acceptance of the terms and conditions of the program." What a rip off.
