I just noticed this charge from Easy Saver and called their number on my credit card statement. I complained and asked how many times did the billing appear. MAKE SURE YOU ASK THAT QUESTION before you ASK FOR A REFUND. I had no problem getting the credit back to my card. I was on the call for about 3 minutes and "WON" BACK 4 x $14.95. They said it would take one or two billing cycles for the credit to appear. WHAT BOTHERS ME is the idea that loads of people DON'T KNOW they are paying for this and unless they happen to catch it like I did on their CC bill, this company is raking in the money! What a scam. I wonder what the ratio is of people who pull the plug and those who pay under the rug?

same deal. I purchased from proflowers and got slammed by easy saver.

What a shame. I liked proflowers but will never order from them again. If there was fine print somewhere, I don't remember it. If they managed to HIDE a signup in a coupon (don't remember) it is still dishonest, and they still shared my credit card info with another entity.

on my card statement:

VISA PURCHASE
EASY SAVER
[protected], PA
Terminal: 469216
14.95

if you call the 800 number, they will supposedly cancel and refund no questions asked. It seems they are expecting these calls. I suppose if you don't notice for months, chances are you aren't going to be getting all of your $$ back. Luckily I noticed days after the initial charge.

If you've found this forum, be sure to post here and find another, new place to post about the scam!

Just minutes ago I got scammed by this. They make it look like you're signing up for the ProFlowers website and getting a $15 "gift" coupon code for a future purchase. Then you read the fine print that says they're charging you $1.95 for a "free" 30 day trial of the Easy Rewards and if you don't cancel before/after the 30 day trial is up they will charge you $14.99 per month to the credit card you used to order the flowers. I immediately notified ProFlowers that I refuse the $1.95 charge and demand it be removed and also when I got the e-mail from Easy Rewards I replied that I did not desire the "free" trail and in no way want a subscription to their service. I'm waiting to hear back to see if this will be cleared.

I experienced the same charge, but only once. The thing that really upsets me is that it caused my bank account to overdraft. Will they account for those charges aswell?

ProFlowers will NEVER get my business again. This same thing happened to me today and now I see there is also a charge for 'EMI Encore' - not anything I authorized either. I'm reporting both charges and ProFlowers to the FTC. There was absolutely NOTHING on their site that stated I would be signed up for anything and nothing in their emails to me about it.

I just noticed them charging me since February, when I ordered flowers from ProFlowers.com (which got cancelled later anyways). I really hope I get all my money back. Their 800 number doesn't give you much info on what they do. It's such a cheap scam by Easy Saver and Proflowers.com. Never buying from them again.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered flowers last week and last night a charge came through my account from Easy Saver. I called Proflowers to complain and also called Easy Saver. Easy Saver was very quick to offer me a refund and cancellation. I will never order from Proflowers again and will let all of my friends know about this scam.

Me too. As soon as I saw the pending $1.00 from EMI and the $1.95 charges from Easy Saver I looked them up and found out what happened. I called their customer service number [protected] and spoke to Linda. She was very nice and helpful and assured me that the $1.95 would be credited to my card within 1-2 billing cycles. However, I learned my lesson. I will be sticking to FTD or 1-800 Flowers from now on.

Same here. I (in Calif.) sent flowers last month to my sister in Florida who had just lost her husband. I usually use 1-800-Flowers, but thought I'd try ProFlowers this time after hearing their ad on a popular local radio station.

I did fill out the online info for the $15 discount, and I guess it's my bad for not reading the fine print. Then again, that's probably what Easy Saver is banking on (literally).

Right after that, I started receiving a ton of email ads from ProFlowers and their affiliates. Every time I would opt-out from one, I would receive email from a different one. I had to go through each one and opt-out of it.

So recently when I did a routine check of my CU account online, I saw the $14.95 charge from Easy Saver. I did a Google search on EASY SAVER [protected] PA and this site and one from /link removed/ have the most information on this scam.

I just called Easy Saver customer service today, spoke with Amanda, stated my case, canceled my "membership", and requested a refund. She started to cite the terms of the agreement. I told her I didn't care, I wanted to cancel and get my refund. She was a little indifferent about it, but said she would process my request and that it would take 7-10 business days for the refund to show up on my account. I obtained a confirmation number from her and her operator number. We shall see...

However, probably the thing that ticked me off the most about ProFlowers is that they were delivered by UPS and not by a local florist as are ones from FTD and 1-800-Flowers. I thought that was a little tacky - sympathy flowers delivered by UPS instead of a local florist. This Easy Saver scam was just icing on the cake.

Likewise, I will never use ProFlowers again - I will stick with FTD or 1-800-Flowers from now on.

I was reviewing my AMEX statement & noticed that I was just charged $14.95 twice by these guys. With the number of people posting to this site about their problems with this vender, it seems that there was an intentional action designed to deceive us. Anyone out there know a good Class Action lawsuit firm?

I just got on my account as usual and saw this 14.95 charge on my account. There was a number attached to it so I googled it and this was the first website that poped up. Thanks for all your information I can't believe that is happening. It is to early to call right now they don't open till 9am. I am telling everyone I know not to buy a damn thing from them. That just really ticks me off. You try and do something nice for someone and the other person takes complete advantage of you.

I am so mad right now. I checked my bank account this morning and noticed a strange charge of $14.95. I, too, googled the 1-800 number listed with the transaction. The first website that popped up with this site. I am so thankful for this site. After reading just a couple of the posts I called the number and spoke with a woman named Debrah. She was very nice. She didn't try to read my any material or cite an agreement. She just verified who I was, reversed the charges and cancelled the membership. As far as customer service people go, she was a rare find! I emailed ProFlowers to share my disgust with them and will be taking the advice of others here by contacting all those I can to make sure this type of thing stops. We have to take back our lives and stop being taken advantage of!

I too was scammed by ProFlowers. What makes this even more unfortunate is that I just noticed the billing 1 year after it began! I honestly thought the charge was from another account and once I finally reconciled all of my bills I found out that I did not intentionally authorize these charges.

I just saw a charge on my account as well...I called the [protected] number and asked them to cancel my membership and remove the charge. The representative stated that as long as the membership was canceled their would be no further charges and that if the charge I saw went through it would be credited back to my account.

I also was charged for nearly a year because I thought it was a legitimate charge, something other than what it was. I feel scammed, called and requested that it not only stop, but that I get a full refund. The cs rep's supervisor agreed, though I didn't personally speak with that person.

If this is not refunded, I feel strongly that I'll have to do something more to be satisfied.

I too saw the erroneous charge of $14.95 on my account and my bank advised me to call the 1-800 number before filing a formal dispute. After calling the 1-800 number and informing them of what the bank told advised me to do, they were very cordial and accomodating and promptly processed a creit to my card. After I asked them, they said that this transaction originated through ProFlowers.com after I accepted a future purchase discount offer from ProFlowers; I am not a big fan of this practice and do not plan on doing business with ProFlowers.com in the near future unless they change their ways. Just got the same charges, I can't all now cause it says they're closed. Hopefully I'll get a credit back. All I wanted to do was by my mum some flowers, I didn't sign up for any sort or reoccurring payment. This makes me very disappointed especially since I've considered using them more often. Thank god for this site though, all I had to do was google the 800 number that showed up on my debit transaction instead of calling the bank. Thank you to everyone that spreads awareness about these sorts of scams.

Same story here. I purchased flowers in April and clicked on an offer for $15 off a future offer. If there were charges indicated, I didn't see them and I am usually pretty careful. I have a copy of the EasySaver email with the coupon and there is definitely no mention of charges there. I caught to 14.95 fees on my last credit card statement and one for 1.95 on a previous one. I disputed these charges, then called EasySaver and had them agree to a refund. There were no arguments there, but I suspect they think it is easier to refund money to those of us who complain and just hang on to all the cash they can. I sent ProFlowers an angry email, but I doubt there will be a response. I did feel there flowers were very food quality, but I will never use them again.

I have also heard this service advertised on several radio shows, usually with some discount available for mentioning the show when ordering. I can't recall which shows, but I would be in favor of contacting them and complaining about these practices from one of their advertisers.

After reviewing my bank statement, I noticed 4 unauthorized charges from an "Easy Saver." After searching the web, I surmised that this was a scam involving a purchase I made from Proflowers.com. I found ENDLESS comments/blogs of consumers this same thing happened to. I am very careful in dealing with any sort of subscriptions, and I believe this subscription was completely unauthorized.
I had three charges of $14.95 on 4/21/08, 5/19/08, and 6/16/08 and one of $1.95 on 3/24/08.
I called Easy Saver [protected]) yesterday and they promised a refund, yet to be shown on my bank statement as of this morning.

I just e-mailed proflowers.com, The FTC, The Better Business Bureau, and the National Consumers League and I suggest you all do the same! This must stop!

I just received this e-mail from ProFlowers:

Dear Katie,

Thank you for contacting us. We really appreciate your feedback in the EasySaver Rewards program and I am so sorry for your poor experience. Rest assured, we take your comments seriously, and we are on your side. Let me take a moment to just summarize the program enrollment.

After you make a purchase on our site, we offer a $15 coupon. If you click on that coupon you will land on a registration page to join our EasySaver program. In order to enroll and receive the coupon, you must enter your email address and zip code which is the acceptance of the terms and conditions of the program. Within the terms stated to the left of the "accept" button, is the enrollment process and states the charge of the program. Our goal is not to have you in the program if you did not wish to enroll and we apologize if this was confusing. If you have not already done so and would like to cancel this membership, feel free to call EasySaver Rewards directly at [protected] and simple instructions will be provided to you to cancel.

We totally understand your frustration and will attempt to clarify the enrollment process for future customers. To follow up, I am going to forward your valuable comments to our partner group that oversees the program. Our customer experience is of the utmost importance and we will do anything to improve your future shopping experiences.

Once again, we apologize for your poor experience and we are here to help in any other way necessary. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I will be calling that number tomorrow. Pro Flowers is the worst service I've ever had. Not have they only charged my card without authorizaton but their flowers suck and all the people that work there are useless. I ordered my mother flowers from there for Mother's Day, and what they sent her was garbage. It looked like a 1st grader had put it together. I had spent over $75 on the order and they sent her CARNATIONS. The ugliest and cheapest flower that there possibly is. I had also ordered balloons to go with it and they never came. So I called ProFlowers and they refunded me for the flowers and said that they would send out the flowers again and they would look just like the picture. Well guess what?... The flowers NEVER came. So I called again and told them and they promised that it would come. Well it's been a couple weeks and still no flowers. So they've charged my card now numerous times and repeatedly lied to me. Thanks ProFlowers for the ### service ever.

What a mess! It is a terrible shame that there are such insidious companies out there mascuerading as genuine services. My wife and I bought flowers from ProFlowers in April and were enrolled in the Easy Saver scam, it would seem, at that time.

ProFlowers itself seems to be poorly organized and in my opinion offers terrible customer service. In our experience, they managed to send flowers that we had ordered to England twice and charged us for the privilege, even though the order was placed once only. Upon discussing this with their customer service operator, we were informed that there was nothing that could be done as both sets of flowers had been sent by that point. My mother certainly enjoyed receiving flowers for no apparent reason, but as I was charged for the mixup I felt unable to share her sentiments!

With respect to the service that we have received from this company and the ensuing debacle of the Easy Savers nonsense, it seems fairly obvious that we will no longer be continuing our business relationship with ProFlowers.

Tomorrow I will begin the, undoubtedly, long and tedious process of contacting Easy Savers and requesting a refund for the charges. I will also be drafting a letter to ProFlowers expressing my displeasure at the situation and their service. And then, I will be contacting the advertising teams at the local radio stations on which I have heard ProFlowers commercials. After this, I will then contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau), and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) in order to complain about ProFlowers' business practices.

Please make sure that you add to this page if you have experienced similar dissatisfaction as the weight of replies will be further evidence that this practice is being carried out in an underhand way.

Just found these charges on my card too! Pro Flowers was recommended by my local radio station, so I ordered flowers for my wife from them and have been getting charged 14.95 every month since! What a rip off! I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charges. Next I am contacting Pro Flowers and the radio statio who is recommending these scam artists! I will NEVER use Pro Flowers again and will make sure everyone I come in contact with knows how dishonest they are.

I've had great service from Proflowers but I am dealing with at least 7 months of charges from Easy Saver. I do recall clicking on the discount offer but canceled the membership once I realized there were charges involved with the discount. I've been frantically searching for the email I sent asking them to cancel the service without luck.

Does anyone have an email address from "Easy Saver"? If I can find the email I sent, I intend to ask for a full refund for all of the charges so I'd appreciate any assistance from the victims of this scam.

This scam is fairly clever, the company really has all of the angles, e.g. the tempting click to receive a discount; the non-descript company name used to bill your credit card; I thought it was for Equifax's credit watch service! The company message does not identify the company by name when you call, it just says the "Membership service department is closed..."

Thanks for your help,
JoAnna

It was the two month ann. of her death so we wanted to send some flowers. We came upon ProFlowers. Sent them up there to family and never heard ne thing else. Well, today this morning, we where looking at our account and noticed a bill for 14.95 and I decided to investigate a little. I came upon this site and new exactly what had happend. I have had two unauthorized charges on my bill two months after placing an order with ProFlowers. I was told that I agreed to this charge when I accepted an offer for email specials with ProFlowers. The CSR told me I would be getting a refund for the two charges...that remains to be seen. I will keep checking my bill for other charges by company and I have told anyone who will listen NOT to order ANYTHING with this company. To place an order in good faith and have my credit card charged is criminal...I will be contacting the online BBB!
