Disappointing Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: Poor Customer Service and Denied Claim
I would like to share my experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport. I recently used their services to transport my vehicles from the mainland to the island. I followed all the instructions given to me by the company. However, I was disappointed to find that my truck was damaged during the transport process. I immediately reported the damage and took photos to show the fresh damage when I picked it up. I also filled out all the necessary claim forms to seek reimbursement for the damages.
Unfortunately, my claim was denied by the company. They claimed that the damage was already present on my truck before it was transported. I was not satisfied with their response and fought with them for several months. I sent them photos to prove that the damage was done after I left my truck at the port in Jacksonville, FL. However, they continued to deny coverage for the damage to my truck through the insurance that I bought through their company.
I was frustrated with their response and decided to contact Crowley, the company they used for the actual transport. However, I received the same runaround from them. It was a disappointing experience, and I would advise others to stay away from this company if possible.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Puerto Rico Car Transport to anyone. Their customer service was poor, and they did not take responsibility for the damage caused to my truck during the transport process. It was a frustrating experience, and I would advise others to look for alternative options when transporting their vehicles to Puerto Rico.
Mixed Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: Smooth Pick-Up, but Stressful Process and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I had a pretty mixed experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport. On the one hand, when I went to pick up my car at the Jacksonville Port, everything was smooth sailing. The folks there were fast, friendly, and made the whole process easy-peasy. But man, getting to that point was a real headache.
First off, nobody told me what documents I needed to bring until after I'd already made my appointment. So I spent the whole weekend scrambling to get everything together, which was a real bummer. And then, when I finally got to the port, I had to wait for five whole hours while they checked my paperwork. That's just not cool, man.
But the real kicker was when I paid for the transport and then found out my car wasn't even in the dock yet. And then, to make matters worse, I didn't hear anything from customer service for two whole weeks. And when they finally did get in touch, it was just to tell me there was a delay and they didn't have a new shipping date. I mean, I get that Puerto Rico is going through some stuff right now, but come on. It's not cool to wait until the day before to tell me my car isn't coming.
To be honest, the whole thing was pretty stressful. My girlfriend and I both needed the car for work, and we were left in the lurch for way too long. And to top it all off, when I talked to Giselle from customer service, she was pretty harsh and rude. Not cool, man.
All in all, I don't think I'd recommend Puerto Rico Car Transport. If I had to do it all over again (which I definitely don't), I'd probably just go straight to Crowley.
Terrible Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: A Warning to Others
I had a terrible experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport. I would not recommend this company to anyone. At first, everything seemed great. I paid for the service and was excited to have my car transported. However, things quickly went downhill from there.
After paying, I was unable to get a hold of my agent. Customer service was rude and unhelpful. I felt like my car had been stolen, with no updates or communication at all. This was incredibly disappointing and I regret doing business with them.
My car was supposed to be picked up on the 19th, but that never happened. The company promised to have it there by the 31st, but that didn't happen either. I have receipts and everything printed out, but it didn't seem to matter. The customer service representative who did the booking never contacted me and guaranteed that the car would be there on the first. This never happened, and now they're telling me that the car won't be there until the 6th.
I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. I've had to spend more money on rental cars and even had to book another flight back because of this company's lack of communication and control. I won't be using this company again. When I made the booking, they promised me the world, but after that, there was no communication at all. When I called customer service, they were no help at all. This is not the way to do business.
I was very specific when I made the booking. I needed my vehicle there by the first, and the person who did the booking guaranteed me that it would be there. If I had known that my car wouldn't make it there on time, I would never have shipped it in the first place. This company is not good for anyone, and I would advise against using them.
Terrible Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: Lies, Delays, and Poor Customer Service
I had a terrible experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport. At first, I thought the customer service was great, but that all changed once they collected my money. Alexandra, in particular, was the worst. She lied to me to ensure that I wouldn't cancel my port to house delivery. My car arrived at Jacksonville port from Puerto Rico on Aug. 13/2020, but after a week of waiting for a carrier, I decided to cancel the service and go to the port to get my car myself. When I called to cancel, Alexandra suddenly found a carrier and promised that my car would be delivered the next day (Aug. 22/2020). But the car never arrived, and I spent the next two weeks calling the company every day, with waiting periods of up to 4 hours. Twice, they even hung up on me after I gave them my booking number.
Alexandra claimed that she didn't know where the carrier was or when my car would be delivered. Meanwhile, I was renting a car just to be able to go to work. When the carrier finally delivered my car, he told me that it had been listed for $100 for the past two weeks, and no carrier would ever make a delivery from Jacksonville to Fort Myers for that price. He only decided to deliver my car after Puerto Rico Car Transport increased the price to $300. When I asked him how long he had been with my car, he said he had only picked it up the day before.
It was clear that Puerto Rico Car Transport had lied to me about not knowing where my car was during the past two weeks. My car had been sitting at Jacksonville port waiting for a carrier, while I paid for a rental car and was lied to about the real location of my car. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Beware of Puerto Rico Car Transport: Inept Employees and Hidden Fees
I recently had my parents' car transported from Florida to Puerto Rico through Puerto Rico Car Transport (puertoricocartransport.com). However, the shipping date was changed twice, which caused a lot of inconvenience. It was really difficult to get in touch with someone who could help me with my queries. After many attempts, I finally spoke to someone who informed me that they had not acquired a transport yet and would let me know by email when they had one. It was then that I realized that they don't have their own transport and hire contracted people to pick up the vehicle.
Finally, two days after the scheduled pickup, I received a phone call at 10:30 pm to inform me that they had to pick up two other vehicles and could not make it to my location for another day. After a lot of hassle, the car was finally picked up and shipped from Jacksonville, FL. I was told that it would arrive in Puerto Rico on August 4th, 2020, but that date turned out to be incorrect. After many calls and messages to the live online customer service, I finally got an arrival date of August 10, 2020.
The worst part was that I was quoted $880 for the "albitros," which is the cost to pick up the vehicle at the port in Puerto Rico. However, they charged my parents $2245, which was a huge difference. When I questioned the Puerto Rico location about the difference in cost, they told me that the Florida office does not know what they are doing and that they are wrong. It's funny how they all work for the same company. To make matters worse, they charged an additional $200 for paperwork, claiming that they are a private company and have to charge for their work. However, they are not a private company, and the same company name is used for both locations. This cost was never mentioned and was not on the documents. Beware of this company, as they have a bunch of inept employees who will rip you off. Take legal action if necessary. Unfortunately, there's not a zero-star rating.
Unprofessional and Rude: My Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport
I have to say, I really wouldn't recommend Puerto Rico Car Transport. If you're looking to ship your car to Puerto Rico, I'd suggest going with Crowley directly or using Car Freight instead. Puerto Rico Car Transport will give you a quote quickly, but then they'll call you non-stop to see when you're going to ship your car. And if you don't have your contact person's extension or email address, you're out of luck because they never answer the phone promptly. You always have to wait on the line for the next available agent.
I made the mistake of using them and almost got scammed. I was trying to ship my car from PA to PR, but my car wasn't registered, so it couldn't be driven. I got a quote to drop it off in Eddystone, PA, but when I told them I needed it towed, they wanted to charge me over $500 to tow it 35 miles to the port. I agreed reluctantly because no other tow truck would handle a tow across the NJ/PA state line. On the day of the appointment, I waited from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for the tow truck to arrive. I called every hour and waited in line until they picked up the phone and said, "you're calling about the xxxx car," and when I answered YES, they would put me on hold again until the system hung up. I waited a second day, calling every hour and getting hung up on, until mid-afternoon when a guy named Max called to schedule his tow truck to come pick up my car, which was headed to Jacksonville. I said no way my car is just going from S. Jersey to the PA port. He said he would check with Puerto Rico Car Transport and call back. He didn't call back for over an hour since he was put on hold as well. Puerto Rico Car Transport tried to say that I had agreed to the terms to ship my car through Jacksonville. I said I had not and emailed the reps who gave me their emails and said I was canceling my booking unless my car went via PA. I canceled their tow and found a tow to the port on my own for $100 less.
They're really unprofessional and rude. They don't give you much information and try to add fees at any possible point. So, buyer beware!
Puerto Rico Car Transport Review: A Middle Man Scam - Don't Use Them!
Puerto Rico Car Transport, or PRCT, seems to have a good image and they are good at selling their product. However, once they have your business, everything falls apart. I recently shipped my car with them from Alabama to Puerto Rico, and the communication was not great. But at that point, I was just waiting to get my car picked up and sent to Jacksonville, FL. They gave me an estimated time of arrival for my car, and with that date, I booked my flight. Unfortunately, my car arrived earlier than expected, and I ended up paying charges for a whole week at the receiving port. To make matters worse, the directions they gave me to pick up my car were not clear at all.
It's important to remember that even though they call themselves a "shipping" company, they are just a booking company acting as a middle man between you and the real shipping company. I later discovered that I needed to pick up my car at CROWLEY, but they didn't tell me that. When I got there, there was State paperwork that took at least two days going back and forth, and they didn't tell me about that either. They make it sound like it's all an easy process, but it's not.
One last thing, my original title was needed for the pickup and the Jacksonville port, even though they said not to give them the title. I'm still chasing this document, and when I asked Puerto Rico Car Transport to help out with tracking it down, they just gave me a number to call. Their "award-winning" representatives didn't say, "Hey, we'll help out, that's our commitment." No, they got my money anyway.
The bottom line is, if you want to ship to Puerto Rico or anywhere else, go directly to CROWLEY or any other shipping company. You end up doing pretty much the same amount of work as you would with PRCT. I knew they charged more, but I was willing to pay a little extra because I thought they were going to assist me. Today, when I asked them to give me information about where I can leave reviews for them, they said, "there are several sites on the internet," and then they completely ignored me.
As a federal employee, I have people coming back and forth to Puerto Rico, and they won't be using PRCT for sure. I will make sure of that. What a scam. Please don't go down the same path as I did. Go straight to the shipping company, or hire somebody that can really be your liaison between the shipping company and you.
Avoid Puerto Rico Car Transport: Terrible Service and Unprofessionalism
I gotta say, Puerto Rico Car Transport is not the way to go. I mean, if I could give them zero stars, I would. I should have read the reviews before I decided to work with them. I paid a whopping $2,000 to get my car from Puerto Rico to Pennsylvania. Now, there's a port in PA that's only five hours away from my house, but I decided to go with the Port to Door option. Big mistake.
These guys lied about so many things. They wouldn't answer my emails or calls, and when they did, they were super unprofessional. They didn't take any responsibility for anything, and when they did, they had some lame excuse. They changed my delivery date three times on the shipment website. And get this, the delivery window is from 9am-9pm, but nobody tells you if the delivery is delayed. So, I wasted three whole days waiting for my car. The only thing they say is "the driver will call you 2-3 hours prior to delivery," but that's a lie. My driver called me 40 minutes before delivery on a day I wasn't expecting him.
Their customer service is less than poor. They don't take responsibility for anything and they blame the carriers for the delays. But they won't give you any updates unless you ask and ask and ask. It's so frustrating. The only person that would answer my calls was Alexis from Live Chat, but she "doesn't know anything" and just repeats the same thing over and over again. I contacted them every hour one day, and she asked me why I was asking every hour. I explained that until she gave me a concrete answer, I was going to keep asking what was the update on my car.
Their website says they have 24/7 online vehicle tracking, but that's not true. And when I asked to talk to a manager, I'm still waiting for their call. The only person that has talked to me other than Alexis is Alexandra. She says they have over 500 deliveries and blamed the workload for their lack of service. But I work in customer service, and I know what workload looks like. This is not a problem of workload or things going wrong. The problem with this company is that they don't care about their customers. Their customer service is nonexistent, and they don't take responsibility for the lack of it.
And to top it all off, they didn't provide my car paperwork back, and of course, they don't answer the phones. I could keep going, but I'm not going to waste one more minute talking about the bad service and the negative experience I had with them.
Avoid Puerto Rico Car Transport: Expensive and Terrible Service
I would not recommend using Puerto Rico Car Transport for your car shipping needs. In my experience, they were the most expensive and provided the worst service. I even checked out their reviews on Yelp and found that many others had similar experiences.
Initially, they were very persistent in calling me to get my business. They promised that their high prices were due to the fact that they provided the best and most reliable service. They claimed that they would provide updates on the status of my car during shipping and help with the paperwork process in Puerto Rico. However, despite my repeated requests for information, they never provided any guidance on the process for getting my car in Puerto Rico or processing the paperwork with Hacienda.
They also claimed that they had purchased spaces on the barge from Jacksonville to Puerto Rico and that my shipment wouldn't have to wait for space to become available at the departure port. However, I later found out that this was not true. Puerto Rico Car Transport is actually an intermediary or middleman, which is why they are more expensive. They have to wait for space to become available from the real shipping company, despite their claims to the contrary.
It seems that Puerto Rico Car Transport is a small office with only a few people working there, but they act as if they are a big shipping company. I had arranged for my car to be picked up in West Central Florida on March 9, 2021, and it was supposed to be shipped on March 16, arriving in Puerto Rico on March 19. However, my car never made it to Puerto Rico, even though I had already bought tickets and made arrangements to travel there to get it.
As of March 26, 2021, I still haven't received any information on the whereabouts of my car or the status of the shipment. Their online tracking service is useless, as it still shows my car arriving in Puerto Rico on March 19. Their phones are never answered, and the recording refers you to their online chat service, which doesn't exist. The only option is to message them through their website, but they never respond.
The salesperson, Mr. James Agudelo, who promised all these services, doesn't answer his phone or messages. Only once did Ms. Alexandria Rivera respond to an email, but she didn't provide any useful information. I asked her to provide me with information for making a formal complaint to their management, but she never responded.
My car is worth over $25,000, and I'm concerned that something may have happened to it. It's as if they have my $25,000 and don't want to let me know what they're doing with it. I plan to report them to the authorities and get a lawyer involved to take legal action.
In conclusion, I strongly advise you to stay away from Puerto Rico Car Transport. They should not be allowed to operate. Don't be fooled by their responses to negative reviews. If they were sincere, they wouldn't be getting so many terrible reviews.
Avoid Puerto Rico Car Transport - Terrible Experience, Scam Alert!
UPDATE [July 28,2021] Yo, we finally got our ride. But let me tell you, if you're looking for a way to add some extra stress and uncertainty to your move, then Puerto Rico Car Transport is the way to go. We spent weeks without our vehicle, calling ports and trying to communicate with the companies they outsource our shipment to instead of them taking care of it like they should. It was a real headache, man.
UPDATE [July 22,2021] Bruh, our car is STILL sitting in Florida. It's been a whole month since it's been sitting there. This company keeps lying to us about when they'll ship our vehicle and it still hasn't left Florida. Almost everyone I've talked to here in Puerto Rico has had a terrible experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport and regretted giving their vehicles to this company. The reviews on their website are straight up lying to you. I think they're somehow connected (if not the same) as Road Runner Auto Transport (currently rated at 1.5 stars on Yelp out of hundreds of reviews). I know this because when I reached out to Puerto Rico Car Transport through their 'help' link I got an email back saying "New Support Ticket created", from '***@roadrunnerautotransport.com'. Plus, their websites look almost the same, it's sketchy. I've already sent them 5+ support tickets and no one ever calls or replies or is reachable in any way through that emailing/ticketing system. The only way to communicate with them is through the online chat (during regular hours) where they'll remind you that they're not liable for any delays ever in any way and that you've signed off on that when you booked with them. Then they'll keep lying to you about how your vehicle will be on the "next ship". It's crazy to me that the port of Jacksonville, FL hasn't been able to put our vehicle onto a ship for almost 30 days. How is it that every other item I order (furniture sets, golf carts, generators, or solar panels) can give me a reasonable, estimated arrival date and not be a month late with no communication? Puerto Rico Car Transport is a straight up scam. To anyone reading this, avoid shipping anything using Puerto Rico Car Transport at all costs! We're now regretting not just buying a car here in Puerto Rico, we've spent so much on rental cars already waiting for our vehicle to arrive!
ORIGINAL REVIEW [early July, 2021] This company is straight up disgraceful. They raised their price since we were originally quoted, added fees to the "total" after the fact, were late to pick up the vehicle, and are already over a week late with delivery with no end in sight. Our vehicle stayed within our state's borders for three days after pickup and then sat in Florida for the following weeks. Now they're saying that maybe they'll put it on a ship two weeks from today to arrive possibly over a month late! Their reviews are straight up lying to you. The company asks you to 'review' them as soon as you've scheduled your shipment, at which point everything is fine because they haven't had the chance to do anything yet -- you're basically reviewing their website and ease-of-use for signing up for an absolute miserable experience. They outsource the shipment process to smaller trucking companies but fail to inform them of timelines, deadlines, shipping dates, port reference numbers, etc. so those companies then start calling you, asking for you to provide this information to them because they have no idea what the itinerary is or where your vehicle is supposed to go and by when (they only see the tiny picture of their leg of the journey and nothing thereafter). I read bad reviews for this company and spoke to people who recommended we avoid them. I should have listened and avoided this company. The amount you'll pay for a rental car while you wait for this untrustworthy company to deliver your vehicle will far surpass in cost of what better companies charge to ship your vehicle more reliably. Plus, don't expect any communication from them regarding delays or anything regarding your vehicle's shipment once they have your money and vehicle. If you want to know where you vehicle is, make sure you have a GPS tracker installed or contact them through their chat feature. Calling them is pointless, as they're not available and their machine directs you to their online chat instead where they'll tell you that their policy covers them for shipment delays and will shift the blame to the shipping companies being backed up. Save your sanity and money and do NOT trust Puerto Rico Car Transport to ship your vehicle!
If anything changes, I'll update this review.

Disappointing Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: Lack of Communication and Poor Delivery
I recently used Puerto Rico Car Transport to transport my vehicle and unfortunately, I had a few issues with their service. Firstly, they did not deliver my vehicle on the day they said they would. This caused a lot of inconvenience for me as I had to take an extra day off work to wait for the delivery.
To make matters worse, they did not even bother to call me to inform me that they would not be able to deliver on the promised day. This lack of communication was frustrating and unprofessional.
When the driver finally arrived, he did not communicate with me about his arrival time and only called me when he was already at my house. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time and no one was there to receive the vehicle.
To add insult to injury, when I finally received my vehicle, it was covered in mud and dirt. I had to spend an additional $85 to have it cleaned, only to have it delivered to me in a dirty state. When I complained to the driver, he simply shrugged it off and said that he was only the driver.
Overall, I was disappointed with the service provided by Puerto Rico Car Transport. The lack of communication and poor delivery experience left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and professional vehicle transportation services.
Mixed Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: Proceed with Caution
So, I gotta say, I had a bit of a mixed experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport. At first, things were going pretty well. They seemed friendly and helpful, and I was feeling pretty good about my decision to use them to transport my car. But then, things started to go downhill.
I paid for the service, but then I didn't hear anything from them for a while. I was starting to get worried - did they forget about me? Did they lose my information? I wasn't sure what was going on. And then, when I finally did hear from them, it was only because I had been sitting around in Jacksonville for hours, waiting for someone to tell me where to drop off my car.
Now, I don't want to be too harsh - I know that things can get busy and hectic, and maybe they were just having an off day. But still, it was frustrating to feel like I was being ignored or forgotten about. And honestly, it made me a little nervous about the whole process.
So, all in all, I would say that if you're thinking about using Puerto Rico Car Transport, you should proceed with caution. They might be great for some people, but for me, it just didn't work out. If you want to be safe, maybe try going through Crowley direct instead.

Reliable and Affordable Car Transport: My Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport
My experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport was pretty good. However, I had to do things several times because I was not made aware of the new requirements of the boat carrier. It would have been better if PR Transport had kept me informed of the latest updates so that I wouldn't have gotten aggravated in these situations. It's important to keep your customers informed so that they don't have to go through the hassle of doing things multiple times. Despite this issue, the overall service was satisfactory. The staff was friendly and helpful, and my car arrived at its destination on time. The pricing was also reasonable compared to other transport companies. I would recommend Puerto Rico Car Transport to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable car transport service.
Disappointing Service: My Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport
So, I recently used Puerto Rico Car Transport to ship my car and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with the service. My car was supposed to arrive on a certain date, but it ended up being delayed. I didn't even find out until the day after it was supposed to arrive! This caused me to have to extend my car rental, which ended up costing me more money. I understand that things can happen, but I feel like the company should have let me know with more time. It was frustrating to have to deal with this unexpected delay and the added expense. Overall, I would say that Puerto Rico Car Transport could improve their communication and customer service.
Mixed Experiences with Puerto Rico Car Transport: A Review
So, I recently used Puerto Rico Car Transport to move my car from one place to another. I gotta say, I had some mixed experiences with them. First off, the pick-up contractor didn't show up or call as scheduled. I was pretty upset about that. But then, the next day, they came really late at night without calling to let me know they were going to be late. I had to call customer service to figure out what was going on. They were polite and helpful, but I was still pretty annoyed.
However, once my car was on its way, things started to look up. The scheduled delivery was on time, which was great. And even with a hurricane on the sea, my car arrived earlier than expected! I was really impressed with the timing. The only downside was that the contractor who delivered my car wasn't as great as I had hoped. But overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the service I received from Puerto Rico Car Transport.
Poor Customer Service and Long Wait Times at Puerto Rico Car Transport
I gotta say, my experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport was not the best. The workers there seem to be a bit clueless, they don't tell you everything you need to know and they treat you like garbage. And don't even get me started on the wait times when you call them up - it's like they don't even care about your time.
When I went to drop off my car, it was a complete nightmare. I swear, it took them like 3 hours to get everything sorted out. And the worst part? All the employees were just standing around, chatting and laughing like it was no big deal.
Honestly, I don't think I'll ever use them again. I mean, I'd give them a 0 if I could, but I guess I'll settle for a 1.
Unsatisfactory Service and High Prices: My Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport
Puerto Rico Car Transport is a company that I recently dealt with and I must say, it was not a pleasant experience. The prices they charge are very high and the service they provide is mediocre at best. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the operator hung up on me. It took them over a month to ship my vehicle and to make matters worse, they charged me for port storage when Crowley did not charge them. This was a total fiasco and I would not recommend doing business with this company unless you want to have a bad experience with your export.
Mixed Experience: Good Condition, Friendly Driver, Frustrating Communication
to say, but it was a bit frustrating. But overall, my car arrived in good condition and the driver was friendly. I would use them again, but I hope they improve their communication.
Terrible Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport: Damaged SUV and Poor Customer Service
This is the worst experience I've ever had with a car transport company. I'm still dealing with Puerto Rico Car Transport because my SUV came in damaged, even though I paid extra for insurance. My truck is still broken and it's causing a lot of problems for me. I haven't been able to register my SUV and I've had to pay out of my own pocket for Uber and friends to take me to work and back. It's been a huge inconvenience.
I really think Puerto Rico Car Transport needs to improve their customer service. It's been really frustrating trying to get in touch with someone who can help me. I've left messages and tried calling, but no one ever answers. It's like they don't care about their customers at all.
Overall, I would not recommend Puerto Rico Car Transport to anyone. They don't seem to care about their customers and their service is terrible. If you're looking for a car transport company, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Proceed with Caution: My Frustrating Experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport
I gotta say, I was pretty excited to use Puerto Rico Car Transport to get my ride from point A to point B. But, things didn't exactly go as planned. It's been a whopping 10 days since they were supposed to pick up my vehicle, and I haven't heard a peep from them. I mean, come on guys, a little communication goes a long way!
I've tried calling them up and using their support site, but only about half of my attempts have been answered. And when they do respond, it's always the same old song and dance - "we're working on finding a truck to pick up your ride, we'll let you know when we do." Like, okay, great, but can you give me a little more info than that? It's not exactly reassuring to hear the same vague response over and over again.
What really grinds my gears is that they didn't even bother to let me know when they weren't going to show up. I had someone stay home from work all day waiting for them, only to be left high and dry. A little heads up would have been nice, you know?
All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with Puerto Rico Car Transport. I was hoping for a smooth and easy experience, but instead I got a whole lot of frustration and confusion. If you're thinking about using them, I'd say proceed with caution.
Beware of Puerto Rico Car Transport: Scam Alert!
So, I gotta tell you about my experience with Puerto Rico Car Transport. At first, I was pretty excited to get my car shipped over to Puerto Rico. I mean, who wouldn't be, right? But then things started to get a little weird.
When I called them up, they asked for a bunch of information about my car - the Vin #, license plate, title, and my driver's license. I gave them all that stuff, no problem. But then they started asking for more. They said I needed to get an EIN number and fill out some document from Crowley. I didn't really know what they were talking about, so I looked into it. Turns out, you only need an EIN number if you're a company. And I'm not a company, I'm just an individual trying to ship my car.
So I told the ladies who kept calling me back that I didn't need an EIN number. But they insisted that I did, or else I had to give them my social security number. That seemed pretty sketchy to me. I mean, why would they need my social security number? I think they're trying to scam people and get their private information.
Anyway, I decided to go with another company instead. They only asked for the initial information that Puerto Rico Car Transport did, and they didn't need an EIN number or my social security number. I'm so glad I didn't fall for their scam!
After I did some research, I found out that other review websites only give Puerto Rico Car Transport a 2-star rating. I'm surprised this one has a higher rating than that. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Stick with a company that doesn't try to scam you out of your personal information.
