Terrible Experience with Car Delivery Company: Late Delivery, Poor Customer Support, and No Accountability
This company is a total joke. I bought a car for my wife as a gift and needed it delivered by July 10th. I placed the order on July 6th and they said it wouldn't be a problem. But on July 8th, they still hadn't assigned a carrier. I called and chatted with them multiple times and they kept saying there was plenty of time.
Finally, on July 9th, we got a text saying the car would be picked up that day and they would call 2 hours in advance. But when I called at 5 PM to check, they said not to worry and that carriers work until 9 PM. But between 7 PM and 8 PM, I tried calling and chatting and no one was available. It's obvious that this is a small operation that doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes or care about their customers.
I've worked for big companies where we always made sure customers were satisfied, no matter how big or small. It wouldn't have been hard for them to call a supervisor or manager to make a business decision, but it seems like there are no decision makers at this company, only order takers.
I left numerous messages and got no response. Today is July 10th and the car still isn't here. They have no answers and are now on limited staff, but they charged my credit card yesterday. It's ridiculous.
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Their customer support is full of crap and their sales reps are full of lies. I'm going to file a dispute with my bank, report them to the BBB, and blast them on every social media and blog site related to their business. They're absolute garbage.
Mixed Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport: Pricing and Communication Issues
I gotta say, I had a pretty mixed experience with Road Runner Auto Transport. At first, I was pretty impressed with their online quote system - it was easy to use and gave me a decent estimate for how much it would cost to ship my car. But then things started to go downhill.
First off, I got a call from a guy named Joaquin who seemed really helpful. He answered all my questions and gave me some good advice about how to prepare my car for shipping. But when I tried to call him back, I couldn't get through - his extension was all garbled and I kept getting disconnected. So I ended up just booking my car online.
That's when things really started to go wrong. My car was supposed to be picked up on a Thursday, but when Tuesday rolled around, there was still no carrier in sight. I called the company four times that day, but every time I got disconnected because no one was available to talk. Finally, I managed to get through to a representative who told me that there was no one available to take my car on the agreed-upon date, and they had no idea when it would be picked up.
After a week of waiting, my car was finally able to be picked up - but then I got hit with an extra $300 charge. Apparently, this was because I had booked online instead of going through a representative. I was pretty annoyed about this, but I didn't have much choice - I needed my car ASAP and this was the best option I had.
To make matters worse, when my car finally arrived, I found out that I had to pay in cash or money order to the driver. This wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website, and it was a pretty big inconvenience.
All that being said, I will give credit where credit is due - my car did arrive safely and without any damage. And Joaquin's customer service was pretty good. But overall, I can't say I was too impressed with Road Runner Auto Transport. They need to be more upfront about their pricing and payment policies, and they need to do a better job of communicating with their customers.
Mixed Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport: COVID-19 Transport Went Smoothly, But Price and Customer Service Issues Arise
I recently had a few dealings with Road Runner Auto Transport and I must say, I was a bit worried about the transport of my vehicle during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were no challenges with the transport.
I did have a bit of an issue with the price, as the bill was approximately $400 higher than the quote I received on the internet. When I tried to discuss this with the agent, they didn't say a word and just sent my call to customer service. The customer service representative didn't seem to understand why I was calling and simply stated that the definition of a quote is an estimate. I don't think that's entirely accurate, but I let it go.
When I asked to speak to a manager, the customer service representative, Jenna, argued with me for a few minutes before finally transferring me to the manager's voicemail. The manager did call me back and was polite and apologetic, but unfortunately, she didn't do anything about the price.
After the call, I decided that I no longer trusted the company with my vehicle and cancelled the transport that was scheduled more than a month out. However, I was charged a $135 cancellation fee immediately. When I called to discuss this, I was once again transferred to Jenna, who argued with me for a bit before finally transferring me to the manager's voicemail.
I left a message for the manager, Pam, but when I called back, I was once again transferred to Jenna. I told her that I knew what she had done and she finally transferred me to Pam's voicemail. I'm still waiting to hear back from Pam and hoping to get this resolved soon.
Overall, my experience with Road Runner Auto Transport was a bit frustrating, but I'm hopeful that the issue will be resolved soon.
Terrible Car Transport Service: Avoid at All Costs
This car transport service is the worst I've ever used. I spoke to a guy named "Nick Pomo Roman" who said he could pick up my car in a week. He said he'd call me later in the week to confirm the driver. But when the pick-up date got closer, I called Nick to check and he never answered or called me back (even though I called every day). It was obvious he was avoiding me.
So I started calling the customer service line, but they always said they were too busy and put me on hold for 5 minutes before hanging up. When I did get through, the reps were rude and unhelpful. And when I kept calling after the pick-up date passed, they got even ruder and acted like I was wasting their time.
Finally, a week after the promised pick-up date, I got a call saying the driver was confirmed but it would cost an extra $350 because my car was in an area "not close to a highway". They could have told me that in the original quote instead of tricking me into signing up and then telling me later. The pick-up location never changed, so they could have given me the real quote from the start.
This service is terrible and their website is a lie. I don't believe they really moved all the "celebrities" they claim on their page. I'll never use them again and I suggest you think twice before using them too.
Terrible Experience with Roadrunner Auto Transport - Avoid at All Costs
I recently had an experience with Roadrunner Auto Transport and it was not a good one. I was expecting them to communicate with the auto transport company about the delivery of my car, but unfortunately, they did not. I was left with essentially no communication with the company and when I called them, they placed the blame on me saying that I should have handled the whole situation. I was beyond disappointed with their "service". Once they take your money, expect nothing on their part. You're on your own from then on. I would give negative stars if I could. Please save yourself the time and stress and go somewhere else.
I tried calling their main phone many times and there was no response. Their phone left me on hold and hung up on me after a few rings. This was around 3-4 pm on a Thursday, which was well within their posted hours of Mon-Fri from 8 am to 10 pm. I left a message in three places and finally got a call from their customer service representative this morning. The agent was on the defensive the entire time. Basically, the entire conversation was blaming me and that Roadrunner "assumes no liability for anything". The agent laughed in my face when I expressed my concerns and troubles to him and berated me about why I was upset that my car arrived earlier than expected. Well, was I supposed to be able to predict the future? How am I supposed to predict that my car will arrive four days earlier than their estimated delivery date?
I have never been so disappointed after talking with a customer service agent. They're worse than talking with the cable companies - and that's saying something! At this point, their customer service department should not even include the words "customer" or "service" because they could not care less about either of those things. If you're looking at their page trying to decide if you should give them a call, don't. Save yourself the time, the hassle, and the money. Avoid at all costs.
Road Runner Auto Transport: A Complete Disaster - Don't Fall for Their Scam
This company, Road Runner Auto Transport, was a complete disaster. I called them a month before I was moving across the country, and Alex promised me he would list it early enough for it to be picked up before my moving date and would arrive in time for when I needed it. He also told me there were "3 spots left" on the truck that would be traveling on my route. The price was great and they were going to accommodate my need to pack a few things in my vehicle, so I booked with them. However, I was scammed big time!
I called 2 weeks before my moving date, and they said everything was on track. Then I called a few times the week of because no carrier was assigned to my car yet, and I was reassured by countless people that this was normal and not to worry. Fast forward to 2 days before my move, three days past when they said my car was available for pick-up and Roadrunner said they were working on it and there wasn't much more they could do and there was no guarantee a carrier would be assigned before I moved. I asked to speak to a manager and no one called me back. I couldn't get ahold of the booking agent. It was ridiculous.
I ended up calling 4 other auto transport companies because of my need to get the car out ASAP, and all 4 said Roadrunner was not offering the drivers a fair price for my car. I cancelled my roadrunner booking becuase of how awful my experience was, and booked with Easy Autoship. They were able to find a carrier in TWO HOURS after listing my car and they were so nice. My car is now on its way to its destination... even though Roadrunner said there were no drivers to take it. Funny how that works.
Moral of the story: Roadrunner sucks. Don't fall for their scam and take your business to a more reliable company. Im still getting over the shock of just how terrible there customer service was (whenever I was able to get ahold of them... which was hardly ever). I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Avoid Road Runner Auto Transport: Terrible Customer Service and Unreliable Carrier Tracking
I don't usually write reviews, but I had such a bad experience with Road Runner Auto Transport that I had to share. I booked a car shipment with them three weeks in advance for a pick-up date of May 17, 2023. The agent, Nick Raymundo, assured me that I would receive a booking well in advance, about a week before the desired date. However, a week before the pick-up date, I called again because the carrier tracking was still "pending," meaning no one had confirmed pick-up for my car yet.
Up until the day before my desired pick-up date, a carrier still had not confirmed my car for pick-up. I tried to contact Nick and other agents for help, but I was placed on hold for over 30-40 minutes each time. I was so stressed because I had told Nick that the latest pick-up would have to be May 18, as I would be on a flight to go back home the following day. I was unable to cancel my booking in a timely manner because no one would answer their phone. I left Nick two upsetting voice messages, but he never called me back.
When I finally got through to the general line, another agent named Luisa told me after a 30-minute hold that I wouldn't get a confirmation of carrier assignment until the day of the shipment. This was completely unacceptable, as I was never told that this would be the case, and I was forced into this waiting game. I ended up going with Sherpa Auto Transport, where I had to make a last-minute booking on May 16, requesting them to get me a carrier to pick up my car between May 16 to May 18 at the latest. They were so knowledgeable and helped me through a stressful time that Road Runner caused me.
Whatever you do, do not choose Road Runner Auto Transport unless you want to be stressed out of your mind. Their customer service is terrible, their quotes are so low that no carrier wants to pick up your booking (which I was unaware of), they lie, are extremely unreliable, and do not care about their customers.
Road Runner Auto Transport Review: Poor Communication and Payment Issues
Road Runner Auto Transport was one of the four companies we reached out to for pricing. They weren't the cheapest, but we had two people who had used them before and recommended them to us. The booking process was easy and we didn't have to pay until the carrier was confirmed. However, that's where our concerns began.
We booked a month in advance for a pick-up date before our move across the country and a delivery date after we arrived at our new location. We made it clear that we had flight schedules and wanted the car picked up by 1/11/18 and delivered no earlier than 1/17/18.
As the pick-up date approached and we still hadn't been assigned a carrier, we grew worried and tried contacting them via email and phone. Unfortunately, we never received a reply. When we did manage to get through to someone, all they could tell us was that it was pending and marked urgent.
The car was finally picked up 12 days later on 1/22/18, the same day the carrier was assigned. However, we had another issue. We had asked if we could pay the balance due on delivery with a Treasurer's Check made out to Roadrunner, but we never received a reply. So, we brought a check made out to Roadrunner for the invoice balance due. When the carrier was confirmed, we learned that the initial deposit was less than we were originally told, making the balance due on delivery greater. Also, the check needed to be made out to the actual carrier and not Roadrunner. This caused an inconvenience for us and an extra cost of $50.00.
The car was delivered a week earlier than expected without any issues. However, the poor communication left us feeling anxious about how our property was being cared for. As a personal property, we wanted to feel comfortable. Road Runner Auto Transport could improve by having better communication, including payment details, even if it's just to let us know they haven't forgotten about our booking.
Terrible Experience with Roadrunner Shipping: Avoid at All Costs
I don't understand how these guys got a 4-star rating on this site. My experience with them has been absolutely terrible. The biggest problem is that they don't communicate with you at all. Neither do their chosen carriers. If you decide to use them, be prepared to put in a lot of effort to coordinate everything, fight for information, and put your life on hold while you wait for them to pick up your shipment. They're quick to call you to sell you insurance, but after that, you won't hear from them. Their website promises an online shipment tracker, but it's useless. If you want information about your shipment, you have to chase them. If it's late, they'll tell you that everything is in hand and that the pickup could take place up to 9 pm, but the shipper will call 2-3 hours in advance. That didn't happen for me, and I ended up waiting until 10 pm. Good luck contacting Roadrunner after 5 pm - they all go home, leaving their customers to fend for themselves.
The next day, I was still coordinating everything myself. No contact from the company until I reached out to them. The collection was over 24 hours late, which is embarrassing for most companies, but not for Roadrunner. Their customer service people told me that life isn't guaranteed - thanks for the insight. The people running their Facebook page told me that they're just marketing and I need to speak with customer service. I finally spoke with someone and then got a call from the carrier. They apologized and said they couldn't give me a time. I asked them to call me back when they had a time, but they didn't. I waited for 2 hours before calling customer service again and finally got an estimated time - still 4 hours away. The carrier said they had problems with the brakes, but that's a lie. They didn't even try to contact me.
I'm extremely unhappy with Roadrunner and won't be using them again. Avoid them unless you enjoy suffering.
Nightmare Experience with Roadrunner Auto Transport: Broken Trunk, Delays, and Unprofessionalism
I had a really bad experience with Roadrunner Auto Transport. I've used other auto transport companies before and had great experiences, but this time was a nightmare. To make matters worse, the carrier broke my trunk.
I booked the shipment about a month in advance and was quoted around $1400 to transport my car from NY to TX. I checked in multiple times before the pick-up date to make sure everything was still on track, but was told that no carrier would be assigned until 48 hours prior to the estimated pick-up date. This seemed like a red flag to me, but I went ahead with the booking anyway.
At 48 hours prior to the shipment date, the company emailed me to ask me to call them to accept a carrier. When I called, I was told that the cost was now over $1700. I was disappointed, but thought that maybe the experience would be better since they were more expensive. I was wrong.
The carrier, Troup Trucking company, was supposed to pick up my car on 8/14, but they didn't show up. They told me that their truck was broken and they would come the next day. The same thing happened on 8/15, and it went on for more than 4 days before they finally picked up my car.
While enroute, the truck carrying my car broke down multiple times, causing the delivery date to be delayed by more than 4 business days. When I finally got my car, there were more miles on it and the trunk was unable to be opened. I had to pick up my car over 30 minutes away from my house, even though there was a Walmart less than 10 minutes away. The carrier's excuse was that his truck was broken, but it had broken down multiple times before and after picking up my car. I don't understand how the trucking company could be so irresponsible.
I contacted Roadrunner multiple times to discuss my issues, but they showed no respect or compassion toward my suffering. I couldn't work for multiple days because of the delays caused by the trucking company, and now I have a broken car that I need to pay to fix. I paid them over $1700 to break my car and create such an emotionally toxic two weeks for me.
To make matters worse, a manager from Roadrunner called me to accuse me of lying about my experience. I had saved all text messages and call logs about my contact with the carrier, as well as multiple complaint emails submitted through their website and chat logs from their website. Eventually, the manager stopped accusing me of lying, but only after I was on the verge of tears.
I will not be submitting a damage claim for my trunk because I want nothing to do with this company any longer. My interaction with them has been toxic, unprofessional, and a complete nightmare.

Mixed Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport: Frustrating Customer Service and Limited Tracking System
I recently used Road Runner Auto Transport to ship my car and I have to say, the shopping experience was fine. However, once I made my reservation, it was very difficult to get a hold of someone. I tried calling multiple times but the phone just kept ringing and ringing, and then it would go to voicemail, even though I knew they were open for business. It was frustrating not being able to get in touch with anyone.
One thing that disappointed me was the tracking system. They said I could track my shipment, but all it really did was tell me when my car got picked up and dropped off, like the Domino's pizza tracker. I was hoping for something more interactive where I could see what state my car was in. It would have been nice to have more detailed information about the progress of my shipment.
I don't want to knock the whole company because of one bad experience, but my driver was 36 hours off with his estimate on both ends. He called me the day of and said he would be there in a few hours to pick up my car, but he didn't arrive until the following evening. For drop off, he told me his truck broke down an hour away and he would send a taxi for me to meet him there and drive my car back. I thought that was sketchy, so I called the company during business hours, but I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I had to open the chat on their website and wait for 20 minutes for somebody to respond back, after getting transferred chat people three times. Even then, they just said they would contact the driver and didn't call me back after I requested they do.
Overall, I think there's got to be a better experience out there than this, especially since I paid more for someone 'reputable.' It was frustrating not being able to get in touch with anyone and the tracking system wasn't very helpful. I hope they can improve their customer service and make the experience better for future customers.
Poor Customer Service Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport - Beware!
I had a pretty bad experience with Road Runner Auto Transport. I was trying to ship my classic truck from one base to another for my PCS. I was working with Anthony Alvarado in SD for a while, but his prices were getting beat by other agencies that were more reputable and respectful. One night, Anthony called me at 8:30pm (seems late, right?) and asked me about shipping my vehicle. I told him very professionally that we have decided to use someone else. But he started prying and asking questions. When I told him I was not comfortable releasing certain information, he went off on a tangent. I told him to have a goodnight and hung up. But within 20 seconds of ending the call, he had another colleague call me. As soon as I answered, this man started prying as well (I'm fairly certain you could hear Anthony in the background). I kindly explained that I found someone else to use, but once again the man went off on a tangent. I told him to have a goodnight and as I was hanging up, he replied "alright loser".
For a "veteran owned" company, acting this way to someone who is currently serving and trying to not go belly up to send his vehicle to a new PCS location, this sort of customer service should NOT be tolerated. I would gladly rate this company negative if I were able to. For anyone looking to ship a vehicle from this company, BEWARE!
Disappointing Service from Road Runner Auto Transport: Poor Communication, Late Delivery, and Overpriced
I recently used Road Runner Auto Transport to transport my car and I have to say, I was not impressed with their service. While I was able to book the transport easily enough, I was disappointed to find out that I would need to pay an additional $300.00 to ship on the day that worked for me. Despite my frustration, I paid the fee as I needed my car to arrive in New Mexico that week.
However, the expected arrival date was not met and my car did not arrive on the date quoted. The 48-hour window that they claim to have is just a cover-up for their inability to schedule shipping times correctly. I didn't hear from the driver until a day after the expected delivery date and was informed that "someone" else would be bringing it the last 2 hours of its trip to me. The whole drop-off was a fiasco and I had to make alternate plans to pick up and store the vehicle as I was 45 minutes away from the drop-off location.
When I expressed my concerns to Sean Brady, I was disappointed to receive a slew of emails telling me how good the company is and what their policies are. I told him that I was unsatisfied with the shipping service and his "canned corporate" responses were of little comfort to me. I even asked him to stop emailing me, but he continued to do so. It seems Sean had to have the last word regarding my shipment.
Overall, I found the service to be poor. The customer service relations were poor, the driver communication was poor, and the price was overpriced for the service that was received. I learned my lesson and will use a single source private carrier instead of a dollar-hungry middleman broker who only sees dollar signs.

Mixed Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport: Great Website and Polite Staff, but Communication Issues and Unexpected Delays
The website for Road Runner Auto Transport was a breeze to navigate. The folks we talked to on the phone were all polite and friendly. We were feeling pretty good about our experience until the weekend before our car was supposed to be picked up. We got a call saying that there wasn't a driver available on the day we had scheduled, which meant we had to wait an extra day to get our car picked up. This was a big problem for us because we had already booked a flight and hotel for that day. The staff on the phone were nice, but we had to cancel our hotel reservation (which we couldn't get a refund for) and find a different hotel that would let us leave our car there for the driver. This ended up costing us more money because the new hotel didn't have a shuttle.
We didn't get any confirmation that our car had been picked up, and we didn't hear anything until just two days before it was supposed to arrive. Communication was definitely an issue. The driver said he would be there on Wednesday, but he didn't show up and we didn't get any notification. He finally called us on Thursday morning to say that he had our cars and that he didn't unload them the night before because of the rain. We totally understood, but it would have been nice to know that our cars had arrived. On the bright side, the driver actually showed up almost two days earlier than we had been told by the dispatcher. He was really nice and professional, which was a relief after all the communication issues we had been having.
Terrible Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport: Unreliable, Unprofessional, and Unapologetic
My experience with Road Runner Auto Transport was absolutely terrible! The driver didn't even bother to call me before picking up my car, he just showed up at my house and called me from outside. To make matters worse, the day before the delivery, the driver hit an overhead gate and damaged the roof of my car. He didn't even bother to notify me or Road Runner about the accident. When he finally arrived at the destination, he didn't give me the 2-3 hour call as promised. Instead, he tried to drop off my car and run away, but my son caught him. The driver then tried to alter the pickup and delivery inspection report to indicate that the damage was there at the time of pickup. My son caught him doing this too. The driver then left without giving us any insurance information, paperwork, BOL, or delivery receipt. He even gave us a disconnected phone number for his company!
Luckily, my son was able to take a photo of the inspection report. However, the repair estimates exceeded the value of my car. In the end, I was able to reach a settlement with the Hauler's insurance company, and my car is being repaired. However, Road Runner never apologized or called me directly, and they never returned my calls. They are nearly impossible to contact once they have your money. When I asked them to refund the cost of transport, they refused, stating that the vehicle was delivered to its destination. This is like paying someone to clean your windows and in the process breaking your windows but still wanting to get paid because they were in fact cleaned.
I strongly advise against using Road Runner Auto Transport. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and they don't care about their customers. They only care about getting your money and delivering your car, no matter what condition it's in. If you want to avoid a nightmare like mine, find a different auto transport company.
Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Nightmares with Road Runner Auto Transport
I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Road Runner Auto Transport. I've shipped a lot of cars in my day, and I've never had such a terrible experience with customer service. They claim to have 24/7 online vehicle tracking, but let me tell you, that's a load of baloney. I tried to get updates on my car's location, but the Transport Tracker never changed from "Carrier Assignment." When I asked about it, the customer service reps, Alexis and Alexandra, were super rude and argumentative. Not cool.
To make matters worse, the delivery was a total nightmare. It was supposed to arrive on Wednesday, but the transport company, Z & S, couldn't deliver to my house. They wanted me to drive 21 miles to Walmart, which was ridiculous. We finally agreed on a parking lot at a bowling alley, but then the driver couldn't even unload the car because of some motor issue. I was stuck there for three hours with no help from Road Runner or Z & S. Eventually, they took the car back to Philadelphia and promised to deliver it on Thursday or Friday. It finally showed up on Friday at midnight. What a mess.
I've worked in logistics and customer service for a long time, and I can tell you that this was a total ripoff. It cost twice as much as my previous shipments and the quality was less than 1%. If you're looking for a car transport company, I'd recommend American Car Transporters instead. They're cheaper and way better quality. Don't waste your time with Road Runner.
Terrible Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport: Dishonest and Unprofessional
I had a really bad experience with Road Runner Auto Transport. I was trying to get my car shipped from Philadelphia to San Diego and they quoted me 7 to 9 days. At first, they were calling and emailing me all the time, but once they picked up my car and took the money out of my account, they stopped responding to me. I tried calling and emailing them to get an update on my car, but I never got a response. Every time I called and got a live representative, they would just forward me to voicemail or hang up on me. It was really frustrating because they kept telling me my car would arrive on different days, but it never did. I was starting to get really worried and stressed out because I needed my car for work.
After two weeks of waiting and threatening to report my car stolen, my car finally arrived. They didn't even call me in advance to let me know it was coming. I was really upset because they were so dishonest and unprofessional. They caused me a lot of stress and financial burden because I had to compensate for the lost time. I would not recommend this business to anyone because they clearly do not value their customers. They are secretive and withholding, and they do not provide good customer service.
Terrible Experience with Road Runner Moving - Do Not Use!
This was the worst experience ever! We booked a pickup for a move from PA to GA over a month in advance and were quoted $800. As the day of requested pick up approached, we were concerned that we had not been contacted to confirm time of pick up or any other details. We called Road Runner, and they assured us that this was not unusual and that the carrier would be assigned a day or two before the pickup.
Finally, the day before the scheduled pick up date, we were contacted by Road Runner that a carrier was assigned - autoDrive Inc. - that was the only info. No contact number, no address, nothing else. They informed us that it was now $913 and asked if we wanted to proceed. We were confused as to how he now has a different fee than the quote and asked what options we had. We were told we had to confirm we still wanted the pick up, and we said yes, given we had no time to find an alternative.
They assured us the carrier would contact us 2 to 3 hours before pick up. At 1 pm on the day of pickup, we still had not heard anything from the carrier. We called Road Runner to see if they could provide any estimate of pick up time or any contact info for the carrier. They assured us that the carrier would contact us 2 to 3 hours before pick up, and pick up could be as late as 9 pm.
No carrier contacted us, and it was 9 pm on the day of scheduled pick up. We had no option but to now drive the vehicle and a moving truck as we leave at 5 am tomorrow morning on the relocation. Oh, and to top it off, Road Runner charged us the full $913 and closed at 5 pm without us responding.
It is without a doubt, the biggest scam or most incompetent organization ever. Do not use them!
Unprofessional and Unreliable: My Experience with Road Runner Auto Transport
I recently had an experience with Road Runner Auto Transport and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. At first, the company seemed very eager to book a carrier for me and collect their fee money. They assured me that I could cancel until a carrier was dispatched to me and that I would be notified when one was dispatched.
However, on the day of my anticipated pick up, I did not receive any call or email from the company. I decided to call them to find out what was going on and was informed that a carrier had been dispatched. But when I asked for the phone number of the carrier, Roadrunner refused to give it to me.
Eventually, I found out that the carrier was Blueridge Exotic Transport. The driver was very unprofessional and even bragged about not paying taxes on some of the delivery payment since it was in cash. He was also late in picking up my car, claiming that his truck had broken down.
Throughout the entire process, I tried to call Roadrunner to speak to someone about the terrible car carrier business they contracted out to. However, I was never able to get through to anyone. I was told that a manager would call me back, but that never happened. I left voice messages for Zack Zangle, but never received a call back.
To make matters worse, my delivery was delayed by 8 days past the agreed upon date. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told that I would have to wait until they were done with another call. That was 2 days ago and I still haven't heard back from anyone.
Overall, I would not recommend Road Runner Auto Transport to anyone. They are a dishonest and untrustworthy company that does not care about their customers. If you want to avoid a headache, I suggest you look elsewhere for your car transportation needs.
RoadRunner Auto Transport Review: Poor Communication, Price Hike, and Delayed Pick-Up
I gotta say, my experience with RoadRunner Auto Transport wasn't the best. I mean, I was quoted a price of $1,197 for pick up on the 18th, and was told it could be within 1-3 days. But then, I had to follow up with them four times just to get an ETA on the pick up. Each time, they told me they were trying to "find a carrier" and that the days were "just an estimate". I mean, come on, man! I booked for the 18th, and it's been a week already!
Finally, I called them up today and told them I've been getting jerked around. They told me they could mark me as urgent, but I already heard that before. Then, a few minutes later, they called me back and said they found a carrier. Great news, right? But then, they told me the price went up to $1,287 and they won't be able to pick up until Friday. What the heck, man?
I asked them why it's taking so long, and they said it's a "service driven industry". Okay, I get that, but when you drop the ball on your end and can't get my vehicle for two weeks after the estimated date, you want to charge me more for your service? That's just not right.
I've been selling cars for 12 years in three different markets, and I know that shipping a vehicle is going to cost around $800 to $1,100. I don't mind paying a bit more because you need to make money, but when you try to tell me that your "service driven industry" is going to charge me more than you quoted, after you dropped the ball, I'm going to go elsewhere.
So, I told them to cancel the request. I called up a dealership I used to work for, and they're going to ship my car for $1,006. Thanks, but no thanks, RoadRunner.
