In October of 2023 my mother and I were driving around looking at homes. We visited (Pulte Homes) Enclave at Parkway Village. We liked the fact that the homes were ranch style with the exception of one bedroom being upstairs. We went in the office and met with Mr. Jimmy Nachar (Sales Consultant) for some pricing.
In November I took my daughter to Enclave at Parkway Village to see the homes. Mr. Mr. Jimmy Nachar accompanied my daughter and I as we viewed the model homes while my mother sat in the office. We walked through the Bedrock and the Compton Model Homes. We went over some must-have items with Mr. Jimmy Nachar: tub in Master bathroom, Full sized door for attic area and the option to install solar panels on home. I asked Mr. Jimmy Nachar if there would still be a linen closet in the master bathroom if tub was installed. Mr. Jimmy Nachar stated that he would have to check on it and get back with me. My daughter asked Mr. Jimmy Nachar about having additional windows installed for additional lighting. Mr. Jimmy Nachar told my daughter that additional windows were not an option. Mr. Jimmy Nachar told us that he would get back with us about tub options and full-size door on attic room. After we walked around the model we sat at his desk and went over some pricing. Mr. Jimmy Nachar stated that they didn’t have a showroom and showed us some pictures (elevation options) over the computer. I told him that I wanted inside options just like the model with the exception of a tub in my bathroom and full-sized door in daughter’s upstairs attic room. We stressed to Mr. Jimmy Nachar about the door for attic room because my daughter is a singer and needs the space of for her music studio. The only other options that he went over with us were the front elevation, lot number, brick type, siding color, blinds and doorbell system. Mr. Jimmy Nachar informed Arielle Toole, Evelyn Toole and I (Angela Toole) that Pulte had special financing and that the next step was to get approved. I called on numerous occasions to check to see if Mr. Jimmy Nachar had received any further information about our must have items. Jimmy did find out about solar panels but not the other items. On November 13th Jimmy sent pictures of the tub options via text. In return I called Mr. Jimmy Nachar because he still hadn’t given me the information about the linen closet. Mr. Jimmy Nachar hadn’t checked and still didn’t have any information for me. I told him that I wanted the larger tub but still wanted to know about the linen closet. Jimmy confirmed the tub via phone call but stated he would check on the linen closet.
In December we worked on the loan. Arielle Toole, Evelyn Toole and I (Angela Toole drove out to the property on several occasions and called numerous times but still didn’t have any updates about the full-size door for attic and linen closet.
I met with Mr. Jimmy Nachar (Sales Consultant) and Taylor Barnett (Construction Manager) about updates on home in January. When Mr. Taylor Barnett was going over My bathroom, I asked him if I lost the linen closet in master bath when They added tub and He told Me that He didn’t see tub on plans. Jimmy told me in meeting that it was there and would be updated. He also told me that I would have the full-sized door on My Daughter’s Attic door. Mr. Jimmy Nachar also stated that I would have a copy of the plans of the house. That never happened! Mr. Jimmy Nachar never follows through on anything.
In February I went on walk-through and was upset about the half size door on attic room and NO tub in My bathroom. Mr. Jimmy Nachar was off so I visited the property the next day (February 27, 2024). Mr. Jimmy Nachar was clueless. Mr. Jimmy Nachar question me about what was on paperwork. Mr. Jimmy Nachar entered information on computer on paperwork, I didn’t. Jimmy stated that the tub was never entered on paperwork and that if would be an additional $2000. I was furious. Mr. Jimmy Nachar stated that if the tub was updated that the kitchen would have to be updated to what is in model. I told Mr. Jimmy Nachar that I had already requisitioned what was in the model. Mr. Jimmy Nachar stated that I had the classic and I told Mr. Jimmy Nachar that I didn’t even know what the classic was. Mr. Jimmy Nachar said that I chose it and said that I picked it out from the samples on one of the bedroom walls. This was a first. I never saw any samples on the wall. This just added insult to injury. Then Mr. Jimmy Nachar told me (Angela Toole) that this would be an additional $20,000.00. When my daughter and I sat at his desk we never saw any samples, except for the elevation package, and my daughter and I stated that we wanted the inside to be just like the model. I never knew the name of any of the packages until February 27. I told Mr. Jimmy Nachar that I wanted all of the upgrades that were in the model. Price is a big component when you purchasing a home. We should have had all of this information early on when we were making our decision. We didn’t know that there were different types of front doors and much more. Mr. Jimmy Nachar stated that I signed contract. I didn’t know what the name of the packages were and trusted that Mr. Jimmy Nachar was entering everything correctly. I have been misled and am very upset and disappointed. Nothing is like I requested. Mr. Jimmy Nachar failed at doing his job in this situation. None of this is acceptable!
Sincerely,
Angela Maria Toole
Desired outcome: Be released from contract. I have desire to spend more money. If I had the actual facts (pricing) from the beginning of the contract I would have made My decisions differently.
