QLink is head and sholders above the competition
QLink is head and sholders above the rest. Their response time is remarkable. If there is a problem brewing up they are right on it and emailing me to notify me what to look for and how to mend it before the problem even surfaces. For instance another phone company was medling with my Govt account, trying to switch my service to them. QLink immediately sent me an email warning me that this company was trying to pull my account away from QLink. Sure enough two days later I get that email claiming that I had requested a change of service. Thanks to QLink I stopped them in their tracks and they left running with their tail between their legs. I have noticed the difference that QLink brings to the table. I am now at peace with my service knowing that QLink backs their product 100% and they're on my team! Thanks QLink.

LifeSaver
All I am going to say here is, WOW! This phone service came in my life at the most perfect time. I had just lost my job due to things going on in the world which in turn caused me to lose my home, vehicle, and just about everything else I had ever owned. I couldn't barely keep food in my stomach so I know I couldn't pay for a phone and bill. Someone told me about this Qlink program, so I checked it out and filled out the application and whammo, a week later I had a working phone. It brought about so many lifesaving changes and I know for sure that if not for this phone program I might not have been here today to write about how kickass Qlink is. Thank you.
Very pleased!
They made it easy! I applied to the site I was approved. I had my own phone which was paid for and they sent me a new chip. I was able to retain my phone number which made me very happy! This has been a blessing in disguise for me as I am on a limited income. I became disabled in 2005. This is made my life more affordable! Thank you so much Q Link and the government of the United States of America! I am a veteran of peacetime service the United States Air Force. I'm proud to have served! My phone is Affordable because I get free service with unlimited service that's data texting and phone calls if you qualify you'll get the same. They make it very easy to apply. You just go to Q Link.com and start the application you'll know right away if you qualify. Go ahead try it's easy

Transfer of lifeline and ACP plan couldn't have gone any smoother!
I originally had my lifeline service through assurancewireless and in just 6months I was already on my 2nd free generic "no name" Chinese smartphone that they provide upon account creation. When my replacement phone became unresponsive after a month I learned I would have to pay for another generic piece of junk replacement.
At this point I bought myself an unlocked Samsung Note 10 so I would have a nicely made name brand phone to enjoy for years to come. Only to be told I couldn't use it with my assurancewireless account.
At this point I found Qlink and signed up for the "byop" bring your own phone plan where they just send you a SIM card.
The sign up couldn't have been any easier and in 7 days I had my sim card in the mail and at that point I activated it and even ported in my current cell phone number with hardly any effort.
So far I've been enjoying my new phone with my new qlink unlimited everything plan for several months now and haven't had a single complaint or problem. I should've been with qlink from the start and I recommend qlink to anybody that'll listen now.
Service is good but customer service ISNT
Okay so I have been a Q-link customer for about 2 years now and unfortunately every single time I've had to call customer service I swear it's like I'm talking to a robot child who barely can speak English and they always say the exact same words as if they were reading off of a piece of paper. Even though I asked a specific question about my phone warranty being past due and has to be turned over to Samsung now they still notify me saying "we are not able to give you the warranty" and clearly I stated to the person actually multiple people that I have spoken to in the last few weeks that I know that the 14-day warranty is no longer good with Q Link and it had only been 17 days but that turns it over to Samsung. So when I talk to Samsung they disagree and say Q Link needs to talk to them to verify some things. I have spoken on only this incident alone to customer support with Q Link for six times now and every single time almost verbatim word for word they explained to me they cannot do the warranty. And again I know they can't do the warranty but they do not want to just simply contact Samsung to verify my purchase with them. Instead they argue with me over and over even though I've asked to speak to a supervisor they argue with me that " the supervisor will not be any better than the answer they are giving me "which happened to be true once three out of the six times for this incident alone that I have spoken to a "supervisor" or so they claim, and I get the same response that they cannot give me the warranty and I need to call Samsung and I can't stress enough that I know Q Link cannot give me the dang warranty after 14 days but I would just need them to contact Samsung so we can move forward and I can get my phone that I was without for over a month because Q Link follows a script with childlike Minds reading them and I'm sorry but I mean every word of that. I do not understand why the simple answer of yes Ms Walker we will be glad to contact Samsung for you about the phone you bought from us not working after only a few weeks but instead again I get told we cannot do the warranty it's like it's a broken record I can almost say it is a recording because there is no way a human being would constantly argue the fact of an answer to a question I did not even ask. Anyway Qlinks service is okay but customer service is definitely not!
SIM CARDS/OLD NUMBERS
Hello again, I am here to bring you my second review on Qlink wireless. ( 1) I have taken notice to the concerns about wanting to keep old numbers whiles upgrading phone sets. Hopefully I would be able to answer your questions and concerns in my review. When you sign up for QLink wireless services it offers you the option to keep your old number. ( 2) At the same time I would also like to let you know that Qlink wireless also has a number for you if needed and I will explain both sections ( 1) and sections ( 2).
In section 1. Keeping your old number. I will explain to you how this option works. When switching phone services from one phone carrier to another the only way you can keep that old number is by that old number still being active with your account and name on it for that switch to be made from your previous carrier to Qlink wireless and if you are bringing your own phone, it must be unlocked by your carrier or the phone can not be used with Qlink wireless until it is unlocked. 2. Purchasing a Qlink wireless phone without an active number will get you the Qlink wireless sim card kit, which already has a number programmed on it for you this option is not customizable. I had signed up for the sim card kit the first time And I had to wait 53 days before my phone was unlocked by my phone carrier before I could use my New Sim Card Kit and notice that I said I signed up the first time meaning yes there was a second time I had to sign up. I'm glad that I can share with you my experiences with Qlink cause this company is phenomenal and I speak highly of it cause I understand it. Ok now this is important for you to watch out for when you are on the Qlink wireless account through your email. There is an ad that is advertising lifeline for QLink, that add has nothing to do with your mobile account, please do not upgrade to it because it will suspend your account immediately because you are agreeing to use other services that is not used for mobile account. I know, cause I did it and had to sign up again and because my account was deactivated I lost my old number because it was not active so I had to sign up for the Sim Card Kit and the new number is working out perfectly fine. I'm going to be saying goodbye until my next review you all take care and hopefully this review is found to be extremely helpful and please feel free to send me a message if you have any more concerns about the services of Qlink wireless as they do not reply to reviews but it was very thoughtful of Qlink wireless to leave the discussion to our users to share our experiences with you.
Wonderful service
It's free, it works and I myself, Carl Ryan Lerch, UNFORTUNATELY, am TARGETED and the people that know what I'm referring too would know that being a target IS NO JOKE and IT MATTERS WHO IS IN MY YARD DUE TO THOSE SAME PEOPLE END UP IN MY HOME WHEN IM NOT, THAT BEING A QUESTION FROM A PHONE COMPANY ALSO PROVED THE POINT OF OTHERS TARGETING MYSELF, MY CHILD BEING ILLEGALLY TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT AGENCY'S AND NEXTDOOR NEIGHBORS AND FAMILY AND THEN YEARS AFTER PAYING FOR PHONE SERVICE THEN I FINALLY GOT A BREAK EVEN THOUGH BEFORE QLINK OR HELLO WIRELESS DID NOT WORK AND I ENDED UP GIVING THE NEXTDOOR NEIGHBORS THAT SERVICE AND THEY GOT IT WORKING RIGHT IN MY LIVING ROOM YET IT WOULDN'T WORK FOR MYSELF. Feds need to shut it down. Total fraud
I switched to qlink on ACP program. Phone comes with Qlixar malware app that enables itself, updates itself, turns on display over other apps by itself. Managed to uninstall it twice but it also reinstalls itself. I've emailed the parent company almost a dozen times and receive no help. They cancelled my service they said, because I applied to another carrier when I actually applied for a computer from a PC site. Internet hasn't worked for weeks. Took almost 2 hrs to find out it's nationwide, but is supposedly only software glitch. Try to call customer service and network drops call every time you're on hold for more than 5 minutes. Unlimited data turns out to be unlimited at between 24kbps to 140kbps. Downloads as slow as 90's dial up. That's not 2g-3g. I called the first week to complain and was told there was nothing they could do and to wait till the beginning of the cycle. I waited and got halfway thru ONE online movie and lost my data back to dial up speed. I'm not even going to talk about the crappiest tablet ever made. Worst company ever. SHOULD be investigated by the feds.
Recommendation: Stay away from Qlink.
QlinkWireless Review: Is it Worth the Frustration?
QlinkWireless (qlinkwireless.com) is a cellular connectivity provider that has been around for quite some time. While the company's connectivity services are on par with the rest of the Lifeline providers, there are a few significant issues that potential customers should be aware of before signing up.
First and foremost, the free ZTE phone that comes with the service is a major source of frustration for many customers. According to reviews, the phone hardly ever works and can be incredibly frustrating to deal with. If you want to avoid this headache altogether, it is recommended that you replace the ZTE phone with a 2nd hand iPhone from a seller like eBay.
In addition to issues with the ZTE phone, customers have also reported that calling QlinkWireless customer service is a waste of time. Many customers have been forced to wait on hold for hours, only to be disconnected or transferred to a different representative who is unable to address their issues adequately.
Despite these challenges, it is worth noting that QlinkWireless has recently upgraded its connectivity to 5G. However, this upgrade has not come without its own set of issues. Some phones require the replacement of the SIM card, and even after this is done, there have been reports of cellular data connectivity issues. Customers have been forced to spend hours on the phone with multiple techs, often getting disconnected or transferred multiple times.
Overall, if you are considering QlinkWireless as your cellular connectivity provider, it is important to weigh the pros and cons carefully. While the company offers affordable service, there are significant issues with both their customer service and the free ZTE phone. While they have recently upgraded to 5G, this upgrade has not come without its own set of issues. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if QlinkWireless is the right provider for your needs.
Disappointing QLinkWireless Experience: Limited Service, Outdated Web Browser, Unhelpful Customer Service, and More
When I came across QLinkWireless, I was excited about the prospect of being able to use the phone for job hunting and getting school grants, as I had suffered some injuries that forced me to leave my career. I was impressed by the fact that I could own a phone for free and enjoy the benefits of an affordable service plan. However, my experience with the service did not live up to my expectations.
I quickly realized that the service minutes for calls were being used up faster than I had anticipated. It seemed like for every 3 minutes of talk time, only 1 minute was being counted towards my account. The web browser on the phone was outdated and was unable to handle many web pages, which made it challenging for me to perform tasks online. I also learned that the data was being heavily throttled from the onset.
As if that was not enough, I was disappointed to find out that the phone's letter and symbol data could not be processed by most job service or application pages for companies. This was strange since this type of data should fall into one of the three categories of codes. Security issues seemed to pop up frequently with almost every site that I visited, making it impossible for me to fill out any secure online forms or carry out tasks that require personal details.
When I contacted QLinkWireless customer service to communicate my concerns, I was greeted with a less-than-helpful response. The representative seemed not to understand why I was frustrated since the phone has unlimited texting. I found this baffling as I've never seen anyone get a job over texting or make a doctor's appointment using text messaging. I was expecting more from the service provider.
Given the limitations of the phone, I thought I could remedy the situation by downloading apps for most of my important tasks, but the phone could not handle the memory requirements for more than one or two small apps at a time. The customer service representative's suggestion to download, use, erase, and repeat was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful. As the weeks went by, the phone became even more useless as it could not even handle updates for its own apps.
Eventually, I caved and paid the $25 for the upgraded phone, only to discover that it still used minutes at an alarming ratio of 3 to 1. It was still unable to perform important tasks such as filling out secure online forms, and the internet was still frustratingly throttled.
All in all, the QLinkWireless service was only useful as a 911 platform and a couple of games for my kids. Despite my best efforts and the upgraded phone, it just was not worth it. The phone was a source of constant frustration and made my kids angry, to the point where they no longer wanted to use it. I had hoped for a reliable service that would help me get back on track, but unfortunately, it was not to be.
Disappointing Experience with QLinkWireless' Free Phone Program: Overheating and Dropped Calls
As a retired individual on a fixed income, I was interested in the free phone program offered by QLinkWireless as it was the only provider in my area. Upon receiving the phone, I charged it and attempted to make a call to a family member, but the call kept cutting out and was dropped three times. After multiple attempts to reach QLink, I finally spoke to a representative who advised me to charge the phone longer and offered a warranty for $25 if I wanted to replace the phone with another ZTE brand. However, I couldn't afford that and attempted to use the phone again, but it heated up and was a safety hazard during calls. Despite emailing QLink twice, I received no response to my complaints about the phone overheating and cutting out during calls. I also received no instructions for the phone, but it did have a 100MB data plan that I didn't even use. While I appreciated speaking to a representative who spoke clear English, the overall experience with QLink was frustrating and disappointing. It's unclear why this company was chosen for the free phone program and if they received government funding to start their company. I caution others to do their research and not use QLinkWireless for their phone needs.
Qlink Wireless: A Fraudulent Company Taking Advantage of the EBB Program
I recently had a poor experience with QLink Wireless, a company that offers free phones and SIM cards through the EBB program. After receiving multiple emails confirming my eligibility for a free 16GB phone and SIM card, I never actually received the phone. Instead, I received an email on November 9th, 2021 notifying me that my current SIM card was incompatible and that I needed to upgrade to a new one. When I called QLink to inquire about the free phone or a compatible replacement, the representatives and supervisors provided me with lies and excuses, and even ended the call without resolving my issue.
I am particularly disturbed by the fact that QLink appears to be committing government fraud by taking funds meant for the EBB program but failing to deliver on their promises to customers. Additionally, they seem to be engaging in email fraud by providing false information and failing to deliver on their promises.
During my call with QLink, the representative suggested that the free phone program had expired, but I pointed out that I had received an email as recently as September 4th, 2021 confirming that I was eligible for a free phone. Despite this evidence, the supervisor still refused to deliver on the promised phone and instead suggested that I purchase a phone from them for $19.99.
In my opinion, this experience was a complete scam and I would not recommend QLink Wireless to anyone. Furthermore, I plan to report them to the appropriate authorities and request an investigation into their practices. It took over two hours to resolve just one part of the issue and the customer support team seemed more interested in making excuses rather than actually solving problems.
Review of QLinkWireless: Good Service, Poor Customer Support & Porting Issues
I recently used QLinkWireless to order a Lifeline service and phone, and while the calling/text/data package was awesome, my experience with their customer service was less than stellar. I requested to port over my existing number, but after a week, I only received a sim card with a new number assigned to me instead. A representative assured me the port would only take four hours, but when I called back the next day, I was informed it could take up to four days. A few days later, I discovered that the account number and pin I provided were incorrect, which prevented the port from being ordered. I contacted my original provider, obtained the correct information and notified QLink, who requested that I wait until they completed the port before emailing me.
Then, on a Friday afternoon, I was told that my phone was having issues that would require me to speak with tech support, but they were closed until Monday. I started receiving error messages soon after, stating that my sim was locked, and was told on Monday by QLink's tech support that my phone was locked as well. However, I have used my phone without any issues on three different GSM carriers, and my previous provider confirmed that my phone was already unlocked and no port request had been made dating back to May. Despite this, QLink insisted I contact my previous provider and request an unlock, even though it was unnecessary.
To make matters worse, the representative I spoke to was difficult to understand and seemed to ignore my statements that my phone was not locked, instead reading from a generic script about prices and plans. She even asked me to rate the service out of ten when I expressed my dissatisfaction, and I gave a low score due to my negative experience. Ultimately, I decided to cancel my service entirely since the entire process of porting my number had taken so long and caused so much frustration.
While I appreciate that QLink provides Lifeline services and affordable phones to those with limited incomes, my experience with customer support left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that other Lifeline providers are better equipped to handle their customers' needs and provide more compassionate and personalized service in the future.
Q Link Wireless Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Defective Phones
Q Link Wireless is a company that has left one user feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. After only 16 days of use, this user's new phone began malfunctioning when they attempted to install an SD card. The phone screen went white and the device refused to function properly. Upon calling the company's customer support number, the user was met only with a computer and was unable to connect with a live representative. Ultimately, the user was told that they needed to buy a new phone for $25, which they reluctantly did. However, shortly thereafter, the phone suddenly started working again. The user then attempted to cancel their order for the new phone, sending three emails and calling three times - all to no avail.
When the user finally did speak with a representative, they were met with rudeness and a refusal to cancel the order. The representative insisted that the order had already shipped and that the user could not cancel the order or contest its payment. This interaction left the user feeling extremely frustrated and they believe that Q Link Wireless intentionally sold them a defective phone in order to profit from the sale of a new one. The user argues that the company should have a better system for canceling orders and that they should have live customer support representatives available at all times. They warn others to stay away from this company and to avoid the stress and inconvenience that they experienced.
Subpar Customer Service and Unfair Treatment: My Experience with QLink Wireless
As someone who has experienced receiving services from QLink Wireless since October 2018, I can honestly say that the level of customer service I received was subpar. After being off the service for 2 weeks to recertify at the beginning of the year, I quickly began noticing issues with my text feature. It often took an excessive amount of time to receive my texts and frequently my messages would disappear before they were sent. Additionally, I was not able to use any social media applications due to limited space.
After attempting to call customer service for assistance, I found myself consistently frustrated with their language barriers and unhelpful advice. Even after submitting messages and inquiries online, I received little help or acknowledgment of these issues with the text feature.
In an attempt to address these issues, I purchased a 30-day unlimited package in hopes that this might help, but I was later informed by a representative from QLink that I needed to purchase additional minutes, despite having two weeks of unlimited services remaining. This was all quite distressing to me, and when I asked for a supervisor, I was informed that I had been permanently cancelled due to my complaints about the service.
I found this to be completely unfair treatment, especially when considering the fact that QLink is a government-contracted company that requires access to personal information and identification. With their lack of security and apparent vulnerability to foreign entities, it seems concerning that consumers are put in such a precarious position.
Regulation and control over these types of companies that work with the government must be established, and my experience has led me to file complaints with the FTC and Complaintsboard.com, in hopes of preventing other low-income subscribers from going through similar experiences. I would recommend avoiding QLink for your wireless needs and instead looking to other providers to avoid the headache that I experienced.
QLinkWireless Complaints 11
OH. MY. GOD. - - - HORRENDOUS
I recently signed my granny up for QLink phone services and the enrollment and receipt of the phone went smoothly. However, upon checking up on delivery of a Sim Card Kit the other day we realized she was de-enrolled! How? Why? It was simply not possible, as nothing had changed, so I attempted to contact QLink. There, BEGINS the nightmare. (LONG, but worth the read).
I was sent to an endless loop of only four phone options - NONE of which was the choice of a LIVE AGENT. I must have phoned at least twelve times, chosen every option and every one sent me back to the same loop. I then logged in to send them a message from their website, but it kept taking me to a de-enrolled page. I was able to finally find a contact site and sent a message.
After doing so, I immediately contacted the PUC who gave me the number for Texas Lifeline and was lucky enough to speak to a really great guy. He told me that everything was in order on their end in regard to the program itself, but that he showed that she had TWO accounts with QLink. Apparently, a de-enrolled one because "the provider had neglected to send in a number (?) within a necessary time allotment", and one, which had been "enrolled" just TWO DAYS PRIOR (just two days from/before when he and I were speaking). Whaaat? He suggested we phone QLink and let them know what they showed. I explained that I had tried contacting them to no avail, but that I would try again. (I figured that QLink had just enrolled her again, so perhaps their system had not updated). I attempted to contact QLink by phone a few more times, but it appeared that the phone I was calling from was flagged as associated to her account, so again, I received no more than the four options and none to a live agent.
The next day, we received an email which said, "call us and a live agent will help, or click the button below, and a live agent will contact you within 48-72 hours." Figuring they had fixed the problem where I couldn't reach an agent before, I phoned in, and of course, it was the same garbage loop - no live agent. To add insult to injury, however, the 'Click Here, Someone Will Phone You Back' Button DID NOT WORK EITHER. IT sent me into an endless loop on their site, which still said she was de-enrolled.
Well, having worked for the CEOs of two major companies in the past, you kind of develop that pit-bull mentality they have - where you just can't let go of a bone... and I was irked. I researched the owner of QLink, an "Issa Asad", his company, and located a number for the counsel he used for his Petition For Expansion of ETC Service Area into our state. Digging way deeper still, I was able to locate a number for him. Now, let me digress for a moment and say that I have contacted three or four heads of major companies before; heads of companies WAY bigger than QLink; and what is surprising to me, is that without fail, they have expressed genuine concern and gratitude for bringing up issues that they may not be aware of, to their attention. That was NOT the case with Asad. (I guess names really are telling).
The first time I phoned, the number rang and rang and rang at least a dozen times, to where I wondered what kind of line it was, then it clicked and switched to another kind of ringing, and then went into a voicemail system where he said he was busy and if immediate help was needed, to contact some of his associates (no numbers for them) or to send him a text at that number. I left a message in which I went into a little of what was happening and my inability to reach anyone from Customer Service. I think my voice gave away the stress of the past few days and I wasn't as even-tempered or cordial as I normally would be. Upon hanging up, I called right back again, at which point he answered, and was really rude, short and dismissive. He seemed upset that I had contacted him directly, and had not one ounce of understanding or empathy about or for what I had been dealing with for days because of some error on his company's part.
In a rushed and almost contemptuous tone, he told me to "call customer service", at which point I asked him what he thought I had been trying to do and that I was contacting him, because I did not have the ability to reach them. He then asked for my number which of course he should have had, but I gave it to him.
About 15-20 minutes later, I received a call which was obviously being recorded but for which there was no message saying it was being recorded, and a woman identified herself and asked what the issue was. She said her records showed that the lifeline program had de-enrolled my granny and that she did not have services through them. She too was rude beyond belief. I explained what I was being told by Texas Lifeline, and told her that quite honestly, 'common sense would dictate that they knew what they were talking about'. (Why would they say there were two accounts if there weren't)? She said: "Well, they don't have our records." I felt like asking how in the world the government agency that oversees the program, and who by law, they report to, 'could not have access to their records', but this was one of those silly people who don't even matter enough to argue with because they are just too dense and incapable of common sense, so you'd never get anywhere with them.
After we spoke, I called Texas Lifeline Services yet again, and reached a sweet young lady who told me, pretty much verbatim, what the gentleman I spoke to the other day had: that she showed TWO accounts with QLink - a de-enrolled one and an enrolled/active one which had been enrolled just a few days prior. She said she could de-enroll us, or that she could open an investigation. I chose to open an investigation, if only for the very simple fact that I will be happy to text Asad a copy of what is revealed at the conclusion, although I can tell you now - he won't care one way or another.
In closing out this review, I have to tell you that none of these companies really make any BIG money off of the 'government phone' program (they make it from added services), so customer service will always be lax at any of them. This one however, QLINK, seems to have an inborn, inherently dismissive and couldn't-care-less attitude that comes from the owner himself. Do yourself a favor, save yourself some massive headaches and frustration, and do not reward them with your business.
-----------------------------------
P.S. Some of the legal stipulations of Asad's deal with the U.S. Government in order to provide this type of service, includes:
Q LINK ETC Service Area Will Serve The Public Interest
Q LINK Will Comply With Applicable Service Requirements
Q LINK Will Satisfy Consumer Protection and Service Quality Standards; AND:
Q LINK is dedicated to quality customer service and care, specifically:
"Lifeline customers can reach Q LINK's Customer Service department via phone, mail, e-mail, fax, or online"... which we have already established, is not the case.
If you have issues with them, open an investigation or request help from the Lifeline program in your state.
Q Link Wireless Review: A Dreadful Company to Deal With, Zero Rating
Q Link Wireless is a company that sells affordable smartphones and cell phone plans. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been less than satisfactory. I purchased a phone from Q Link Wireless on November 1, 2021, after receiving a letter stating that my old phone would not work after December. I paid $19.99 for the phone and SIM card. However, after I received the phone, I quickly realized that it wouldn't hold a charge for more than 3-4 hours.
I tried emailing the company several times in hopes of resolving the issue, but to no avail. They never answered any of my emails. I then decided to call customer service, which was a terrible experience in itself. The representatives I spoke with told me I needed to buy a new battery for my phone. It was frustrating to hear this, considering that every phone that this company sells comes complete with a battery that won't hold a charge.
Instead of making things right by replacing the defective phone they sent me or issuing a refund, they told me I would have to buy a new battery for the phone. This did not sit right with me because, as a low-income person on disability, I couldn't afford to purchase a new battery for a phone I had only had for a few weeks. It felt as though this company knew all along that the batteries in their phones were defective.
After repeatedly asking for a replacement phone or a refund, they refused to assist me. It's disappointing to see a company take advantage of vulnerable people like myself. I feel this company shouldn't even be allowed to be in business if they operate this way. It's a pity that customer satisfaction seems to mean nothing to them.
I have reported Q Link Wireless to the complaintsboard.com to express my displeasure with their lack of resolution. It's a good thing I only lost $19.99, but it's still money wasted on a worthless piece of equipment. I learned the hard way in the ten weeks that passed since my purchase.
I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Q Link Wireless to exercise caution. Based on my experience, I would give this company a ZERO rating. They are a dreadful company to deal with and their track record speaks for itself. It does not surprise me in the slightest that the Feds raided their offices last summer. Please beware, and avoid this company at all costs.
In conclusion, I think it's safe to say that Q Link Wireless has a lot of work to do to regain their customers' trust. It's unacceptable to continue selling phones with defective batteries and refuse to take accountability for it. I hope this review serves as a warning to others, and that this company will finally do what is right and prioritize their customers.
Disappointing Experience with QLinkWireless: Unreliable Service and Poor Customer Support
After a disappointing experience with my previous phone provider, I was recommended to give QLinkWireless a try by a friend who was raving about their free calling minutes. I was attracted to this offer and decided to switch to QLinkWireless. Unfortunately, my experience with them has not been smooth sailing.
The first issue that I encountered was porting my old number to QLinkWireless. It took them an extensive day and a half to get it done, and I was out running errands when my phone stopped working suddenly. I had not yet inserted the new SIM card, and it was a big inconvenience as I couldn't contact Uber to get a ride home. After managing to get home, I tried to purchase a new phone from their site. I got approved for the credit, but the website kept refreshing by itself, which was quite frustrating.
They recommended that I wait until my number got fully ported before trying again, which I did. However, when I tried to activate the new SIM card and get the phone working, I ran into further difficulty. Despite my attempts to call their customer service, I had to deal with an annoying AF prompt system that seemed to lead me in circles without a live person in sight. The automated response system was of little help either. It appeared to be confused with the phone I was calling from and deemed it the phone that had issues, which only served to worsen my frustration.
Desperate for a solution, I waited on hold for a live person for two hours, listening to the same annoying music and prompt voice over and over again. After all this time, it finally connected me to someone, and instead of offering helpful assistance, they sent a help form that would allegedly take up to five days to get back to me for support. This delay was astonishingly unacceptable.
That was not all, when I went to the store to order a new phone, the Samsung 9 Plus I wanted was already gone. All that was available were some Nu? and QLink fones, which I never heard of before. They were clearly low-end phones that were not of interest to me. I regret switching to QLinkWireless and will be returning to SafeLink.

Disappointing Experience with QLink Wireless: Complicated Application Process and Frustrating Customer Service
As someone going through financial troubles, I was in desperate need of a new phone and a cheaper cell phone plan, so I decided to give QLinkWireless a try. I was excited to learn that their program accepts Medicaid, which I currently have, but applying wasn't entirely straightforward.
Despite having an updated Medicaid card, QLink said my document was expired and the effective date was also the expiration date. This was frustrating because I contacted Medicaid and they confirmed that the issue date was not the same as the expiration date. I expected more common sense from QLink regarding something so important.
To make matters worse, my job doesn't provide paystubs, which QLink requested during the application process. I had to request one from my job and then wait another 3-5 days for it to be processed and re-submit it for review. It's been weeks since I applied well before Christmas and I still don't have a phone.
I understand that QLink is a free service, but it's frustrating to give them all my personal details and then not receive what they promise. It feels like my time and effort went to waste.
What's worse is that when I contacted them professionally to discuss my application, I was met with strange behavior from their representative. I can't help but feel like they discriminate against people who are educated and going through hard times. Everyone deserves support during difficult times, including those who may have higher education levels.
Overall, I'm disappointed with QLink and might have to look into other free phone services that have better customer service and processes.
Beware of QLinkWireless: A Customer Review on Poor Service and Privacy Infringement
As a concerned customer, I would like to share my experience with QLinkWireless. While I understand that some may choose to use this company out of necessity, I urge others to proceed with caution. I have been a customer of QLinkWireless for over two years due to medical problems that caused financial strain in obtaining a mobile phone. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory.
Firstly, the customer service provided by QLinkWireless is subpar. In addition to this, the phones provided by them are defective and of low quality, leading me to question the intentions of this company. To make matters worse, the customer service agents themselves do not seem to possess clear English communication skills, leading to confusion and manipulation during conversations.
Additionally, I strongly advise against logging into social media on the free government QLink phone as it appears that QLinkWireless may scan the device and infringe on privacy rights frequently. Personally, I have encountered instances where my phone auto-dialled my voicemail while I was on social media, without a call record being generated, leading me to believe that there is a level of manipulation taking place.
Moreover, it is concerning to note that the Google Photos and video app appears to have had access to the phone's photo gallery without explicit permission and has deleted previous data without notification. Furthermore, QLinkWireless is indiscriminate regarding users' voicemail messages, with messages inexplicably being deleted without prior warning or consent.
Unfortunately, attempting to seek help from QLinkWireless proved futile, as the company did not take action on Complaintsboard.com complaints, and it appears CEOs and management are indifferent to customer concerns. Additionally, joining social media support groups dedicated to QLink customer support may result in being kicked out.
Ultimately, I strongly encourage anyone considering using QLinkWireless to do careful research beforehand and weigh the pros and cons comprehensively.
They sold me a phone that never worked and refused to give back the money , unreal qlink put you on hold forever and no one speaks english so your money is wasted .
My Frustrating Experience with QLinkWireless: Beware of Deceptive Practices
As someone on SSDI and suffering from several illnesses, I was given a very cheap cellphone by a government healthcare building. However, I was thrilled to learn that I had been approved for free service through QLinkWireless. After a couple of months of using the phone, I decided to upgrade to a better device. Over the course of a few years, I had enjoyed consistent and reliable service from the company until I was sent a 5G sim card and instructed to install it. Unfortunately, it completely destroyed my phone and even their tech support was not able to activate it.
Desperate for a working phone, I was convinced to purchase a Moto G6 Stylus for $300, which I had to do despite being on a tight budget. Even after inserting the 5G sim card into my new phone, every call I made went directly to QLinkWireless operators, including emergency calls to 911. I spent over 750 minutes in just one week trying to get my new phone activated, most of which was spent on hold. The frustrating customer service experience was further complicated by the bad quality of the calls, with the echoes making it nearly impossible to communicate properly.
As of 5/23/2021, my new phone still remains unactivated and my old phone was rendered unusable. Frustrated by the lack of progress, I finally switched to CRICKET for my cellphone needs and have been happy with their service since. Throughout my experience, it became apparent that QLinkWireless was solely interested in making money and was willing to lie and cheat their customers to do so. Their lack of response to emails and inability to reach upper management only added to my frustration. Additionally, they even deleted my purchase information for the Moto G6 Stylus, leaving me with no evidence of the transaction.
It is truly concerning that a company can take advantage of disabled and sick seniors to such an extent. It is my hope that customers are cautious and mindful of QLinkWireless' practices before entrusting them with their business.
False Advertising and Poor Service: My Experience with QLinkWireless
When I first came across QLinkWireless, I was quite intrigued by the prospect of availing of their services at such competitive prices. Like most people, I wondered if there was a catch, but ultimately decided to give it a try. At first, everything went smoothly with no issues, but I soon found out that the reality was quite different.
To begin with, I never received my sim kit, so I went online to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I had to go through the national verification process all over again, which was a tedious affair. All I had to do was initial some boxes and sign a form, but it felt like I had to do it all over again, which was frustrating.
On the other hand, my partner received his sim kit without any problems, but the network reset section turned out to be a nightmare. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure it out but to no avail. After calling customer support, we were put on hold for a whopping 45 minutes before speaking to a rude agent who couldn't resolve the issue.
We were then transferred to tech support, but waiting on hold for over six hours proved to be a traumatic experience for us. We also tried contacting them via phone, online, and email, but to no avail. The request for a callback seemed to be nothing but false hope since we never received the call. To further add to the frustration, my partner missed an important phone interview while waiting on hold for such a long time.
As someone who believes that phone services are a basic necessity, my heart goes out to those individuals who cannot afford standard phone service due to financial constraints, unemployment, and the COVID-19 pandemic. It's disappointing that a government-backed phone company can't seem to get things right and be more professional about it.
Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend QLinkWireless to anyone. The false advertising and poor service left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. It's a shame because people could really use a service they thought was legit and that could have helped them, but all they got was false hope. I hope that the company can make the necessary changes to improve their services in the future.
QlinkWireless Review: Frustrating Customer Service & Long Wait Times - Look for Other Lifeline Providers
If you're considering using QLinkWireless (qlinkwireless.com) as your phone service provider, you may want to think twice. While it may seem pleasant when you're just browsing their website, once you become a customer, things can quickly turn frustrating. For starters, it's nearly impossible to get in touch with an actual human being. Don't even bother trying to send an email - chances are, you won't receive a timely response, if any response at all.
One customer had a problem with missing data and it took them a week of trying before they finally got a live operator on the line. If you choose the option of getting a call back, be aware that QLinkWireless doesn't mention it can take up to 48 hours until after you've already selected it. And sometimes, the call back option disconnects, leaving you to start the process all over again. When you finally do get through to someone, be prepared for frustration - the customer's data had disappeared and the operator's only response was that they would receive their free data the next week. When the customer explained that this wasn't helpful since they needed data now, the operator said they could only add data if the customer bought some. After going around in circles and speaking with a supervisor, the customer was told they could contact customer support online - except they needed data on their phone in order to troubleshoot the issue. Talk about a catch-22!
And if you think calling from a different phone will solve your problems, think again. When one customer tried this, the voice routing system stated that they were calling from a QLink phone before disconnecting the call. There's also a convoluted sequence of numbers and options you have to go through in order to speak to a live operator.
When it comes to lifeline providers, it's important to do your research and make sure that they can provide you with everything you need. Some providers may offer free data, but with limitations. For example, SafeLink offers 2 gigs of free data, but only with their own phones and only over a 3G connection. Additionally, some providers may have limited calling minutes, which can go fast if you're frequently on hold. However, most lifeline providers do offer unlimited texting.
In conclusion, if you're considering QLinkWireless as your phone service provider, be prepared for frustration, long wait times, and a complicated process to get in touch with customer service. It may be worth your time to look into other lifeline providers to find one that meets all your needs.
A Nightmare Experience with QLinkWireless: Potential Scam or Just Terrible Customer Service?
When I applied for a free phone through QLinkWireless on 12/12, I thought it would be easy enough to get. However, the process turned out to be a complete nightmare. First, I was told my EBT card couldn't be accepted because it didn't have my name on it. I then tried with my Medicaid card, but that didn't work either because there was no issue date. I finally sent in my benefit letter, only to be told a week later that my W2 wasn't accepted - even though the website stated that it was. After being put on hold and waiting for approval, I was told their system was down and they couldn't approve it yet. This went on for a few more days until I was finally told that they couldn't issue me a phone due to new federal regulations.
I called the 800 number provided by QLinkWireless and was told that they couldn't get in touch with them either, and that there were no new federal regulations preventing me from getting a phone. I called QLinkWireless again and was told the same thing by two different agents, neither of whom could explain the supposed regulations. The conversations felt scripted, and I was left feeling confused and frustrated. I couldn't help but wonder if this was all a scam - did I send all of my personal information to a fake company?
To add insult to injury, when I contacted another company offering lifeline service, I was told to drive around and look for tests with their logo on them in parking lots. It all felt like such a joke - QLinkWireless was making me jump through hoops only to tell me that they couldn't help me after all.
Overall, my experience with QLinkWireless was beyond frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, as it seems like they may be operating in bad faith. It's important for companies to be transparent and forthcoming with their customers in order to establish trust and credibility. Unfortunately, QLinkWireless failed on both counts with me.
Nightmare Experience with QLinkWireless: Poor Service, No Response, and Tedious Cancellations
When I first signed up for QLinkWireless, I was happy with the service, despite the ZTE phone they provided being of poor quality. However, a month ago, I received an email from them offering unlimited free data and a free tablet if I brought my own phone. I happily accepted the offer, but unfortunately, I was soon disappointed.
After receiving my SIM card and setting up my phone, I had no service whatsoever. I followed the instructions given, but still had no luck. I called QLinkWireless customer service and was on hold for over an hour on a Friday. They fixed my text messaging service, but the calls and data were still not working. I called again several times on Saturday and spent over four hours on hold in total, but no one called me back to resolve the issue.
On Sunday, I called again, and the person on the other end had so much static in their call that I could not understand them properly. However, I realized that the issue was not on my end because when I immediately called someone else, my phone call was crystal clear. Therefore, it was deduced that it was a problem with their service. Frustrated, I went back to my old carrier who, when I asked them to release my number back to them, faced multiple phone calls and long wait times just to get it done. But, finally, my phone was up and running again with no issues.
I thought of trying QLinkWireless again after they had initially offered me a free tablet for bringing my own phone, but it became another tedious experience. I started a new application for the service, but I didn't even finish it. Nonetheless, I still received a new SIM card, account, and phone number from them.
So, I needed to call them again to cancel my account, and I was on the phone for about an hour. During the call, I was put on hold about ten times and had to deal with poor service which was full of inaudible static. After many hours through several phone calls, I finally received confirmation that my account would be closed. However, it would take three business days to complete the process, meaning I might not be officially released from QLink Wireless until the following Wednesday. Overall, the experience was a nightmare.
It should be noted that I received no response to any of my requests for help via call backs, text messages or email. In conclusion, while QLinkWireless may have some good deals, the hassles and headaches that come with it may not be worth it.
QlinkWireless Upgrade to 5G causes service disconnection and inconvenience
QlinkWireless has recently upgraded to 5G which required a new SIM card. Unfortunately, the company did not provide adequate warning that failure to install the SIM by a specific date would result in service disconnection. I was constantly hounded by robocalls, up to three times a day, which became very frustrating. It seemed as though they were pressurizing me to install the SIM without giving me enough information about it.
I did eventually install the SIM, but only after my service was disconnected which was very inconvenient for me. I sent a tech support form request but received no response, and my call to their customer support took an hour and a half to be answered. However, I must commend the company for eventually helping me with the installation.
The issue I had with QlinkWireless did not end there, unfortunately. One of the main things I use my phone for is to email my grocery list to it, but without any notice or warning, I received the news that I could no longer do this. When I enquired about it, I was told that my estimated wait time for a callback would be 104 minutes! The estimated time given for a callback was 48 hours later which I found to be rather vague.
Despite all of these challenges, I was able to find a workaround that worked for me. I discovered that I could use Google Voice to send a text to my computer email, which isn't ideal but it allowed me to send brief emails to myself. I tried to use the other gateways which worked before, but they didn't work anymore.
Unfortunately, every change with the company seems to leave customers with something much less. I had to replace my first phone which they provided for free, which wasn't a problem. However, their replacement phone which I bought for $25, died within a year after very light usage. This experience made me lose trust in their products, so I bought a refurbished iPhone i6 from Walmart.com two years ago and it has been consistently reliable.
