Rainbow System life time waranty

I have a rainbow vacuum cleaner with a promise of a lifetime waranty and it was sold to me by a door to door salesperson back in the 1990's. I contacted rainbow in hawaii and left a message for them to return my call concerning the waranty and replacement parts and did not get a call back. This thing cost me 3500. 00 and is worthless

Rainbow System a complete rip off

I just recently bought a Vacuum Cleaner, called Rainbow e2 Black Dimond. It was the biggest mistake that I bought this vac for 2688 and by the time I pay it off it will be more like 4200 +.. The sale's person who did the demo didn't explain everything correctly about the equity program that I can do for 10 weeks and after that I HAVE to sell it to someone within 2 months after that to get the rainbow vac for free. And on top of that get paid $33.34 per demo. So I was like great, the sale's person told me that I have to to buy the rainbow to work and get paid. So after 8 hours of demo I ended up buying the vac just so I could get some extra money. I later found out that I didn't have to buy the vac to work. So on Thursday I bought the Vac and on Tuesday I went to the meeting to find out what I got myselft into. It was too late to return it, so now I am stuck with this $ 4200 vacuum cleaner after I pay it off. They told me like every 3rd person buys it that will add an extra $250 per sale on top as bonus. It turned out that I will be paid $33.34 per demo only for the first week of 10 weeks and after that I have to do at least 5 demos per week plus going to 3 classes of 2.5 hours long 30 mins away from my house to get paid $ 20 per demo plus $50 for gas. So With all that time spent in 2 weeks scheduling demos and going to them and going to clases, I spent almost twice more that I would get paid. In fact this organization is discriminatory. Like I have scheduled someone who lives next door to me and they told me that I can't go to them and do the demo because they are Mexicans. I was like, What? They came to me but they can't go to my neighboors because they are Mexicans? They said that they probably won't buy the machine because statistics show that, and so there's no point of going there. They work on 2 jobs and get twice more than I get and they don't qualify because they are Mexicans. So to me it is discrimination against Mexicans. I don't know about other nationalities, but I came accross this one. So I did a huge mistake that I bought the vac in order to work, Plus the are same vacs like these on ebay or craigslist for much cheaper than what they are selling. I asked them why the price is so expensive and they told me that they are paying bonuses and for gifts and for 3 day 2 nights hotel off of that, so that makes it so expensive and also they need some profit off of it. But if you go to them directly they are selling it for $2995 + tax and plus $250 warrantee. So here they don't have to pay away for gifts and for vacations and it is more expensive. When they are advertizing it, they are saying that they give you discount, but that really means they already added everything up first and then they do "a discount" and it comes out $2450 + tax. It is a long commet, but I tried to cover everything...

I've been checking out the Rainbow system and sales. Not many other vacuum manufacturers give you the chance to earn a little bit extra just for spreading the message.

I agree about the attitude towards Mexicans, and I hope that was one bad seed in the apple. Companies use data, but you can't forget the people involved as well.

http://www.rexairinc.com/ is one link I found for more information on the sales tree.

Yeah, but not worth the list price, period. If you pay a penny over $1, 500.00 for a complete unit with warranties intact, you love being price-gouged. And btw... we have a Dyson too, and after 2 years of HEAVY use, the air filter still does not required changing, yet.

Just FYI.

Just out of curiosity what do you think the mark up on any brand new car is? People are paying 400 to 700 dollars for vacuums such as Dyson, and lots more for brands such as kirby, filter queen, and the German made Miele. Problem is they don't work nearly as well and don't have half the true warranty. You also never really own those vacuums because you always must buy replacement filters. People often wonder why their vacuum stinks it's the mold, mildew and other toxins blowing out of their system. The rainbow may take a little extra effort to use than traditional upright but is well worth the minimal efforts.

I'm still researching RexAir. We got a free Rainbrite air purifier at a home show and then got the Vacuum demo. We did not buy at first, but may buy later after I negotiate their inflated price down some.

What I can say is the financing IS a trap, no way to finance any vacuum for 4-6 years. But, the damn technology approach REALLY WORKS, and works incredibly well. The silly looking air purifier does such a good job that my wife and I's eye conditions have gone way, tons of silt-dust that filled up our home on a weekly basis every 4 days, now is almost non-existent after two weeks plus.

This water filtration of theirs, rather simple concept and nice engineering, really works, no scam at all, just the price is a rip-off. Nice for RexAir to be a monopoly here I guess. The Vacuum doubles as a major air purifier and when you use essential oils, like Eucalyptus oil you can also alleviate a lot of allergy and sinus issues too.

Our price was to be about $2, 399.00 for a special discount, normal price was allegedly $2999.00 If you finance it, this other guy is correct, it will hit an average of $4, 500.00. No sense in doing that. I did a little research and found out these guys probably produce these units as a business cost around $410.00 per unit. Add marketing, sales commissions, overhead and a decent profit mark, and they should sell for about $1399.00 max. I figured I may offer them $1, 500.00 for multiple units, and see how RexAir takes it.

The sales guy worked his butt off, and the free Rainbrite air purifier we got is our favorite new toy, makes sleeping in our bedroom a real pleasure again, we don't wake up prematurely anymore.

So it's not a scam, but its a losing business model. These guys have a great product, but they need to get serious about public sales. Negotiate them down to about $1, 400.00 - $1, 500.00 if you can, , it's more than worth that, but don't pay more and don't use their financing.

Rainbow System #

A couple of sales guys selling air purifiers/vacuums told my wife if she let them do a demo for her of their air purifier/vacuum she could have a mini air purifier for free and she does not have to purchase anything. After over an hour of trying to sell the air purifier/vacuum they finally left but my wife did not watch them leave and on the way out they took back the mini airpurifier they told her was hers from the dining room table. They did not leave any business cards or contact info. I think that was real F___ED UP and I would love to see these guys around at another house trying to sell these things.

Rainbow System aqua solutions rainbow vacuums scamming elderly

On 11/2/2010 Aqua Solutions & Rainbow Vacuum salesperson, Donna, arrived to demo a Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner to my elderly parents and they were promised free steak knives as a gift. They informed Donna they were under guardianship and should not sign contracts. Donna ignored the guardianship issue and convinced them to sign a contract for an overpriced Rainbow vacuum cleaner ($2400). My parents made a $200 deposit payment via check.

On 11/4/2010 My parents/wards called me to inform me of the new vacuum cleaner and the contract. I explained to my mother that the vacuum was too expensive and the contract should be canceled and my mother agreed that it was too heavy for her to handle when water was in the unit (she weighs 100 lbs).

We canceled the contract within the federal guidelines for rescinding a contract (72 hours) and Donna said it was a shame because the vacuum was just what my father needed as my mother smoked so much it bothered his lungs. (My mother smokes one cigarette a day under the oven hood which ventilates the smoke). Regardless, I told Donna she should never have taken a contract from them once she was informed of the guardianship. Donna said they would pick up the vacuum in the next few weeks and the $200 deposit would be returned. The vacuum cleaner was picked up and the check and steak knives were never delivered.

On 3/29/2011, my mother reminded me that she never received the steak knives or the deposit. I called Aqua Solutions and spoke to Alexis who told me she had been on maternity leave during the cancellation period. I faxed her a copy of the cancelled check and waited for the $200 deposit refund and steak knives.

On 4/16/2011 I began a week-long ordeal of trying to get Dawn Adair, the General Manager, to return my calls. I was told various stories that Dawn would get right back to me, that Dawn was in a meeting, that Dawn was out of the office but would call when she returned, etc. etc. etc.

On 4/20/2011, I filed a BBB complaint and learned that Paul Merlino is the Owner and there are 15 complaints regarding not refunding deposits, service issues, customer service, etc.

On 4/26/2011 - Dawn called my mother's house and I answered the phone. She actually SPOKE to me. Dawn informed me that her Legal department told her she did not have to talk to me because I was not on my parent's check - I told her I don't have to be ON their check as I am on their bank account. I've never heard of a Legal Department advising non-communication rather than requesting the Guardianship paperwork which would have resolved this 5 months ago. Besides my parents were the ones who cancelled the contract and were entitled to the $200 deposit refund months ago without my intervention. Dawn said my parents really, really, really wanted the vacuum cleaner and made me out to be the bad guy because I MADE them return it!? She also said that they thought my parents were putting the vacuum on lay-away and that the $200 was a down-payment!? (Doesn't that require the signing of a lay-away contract?) At one point, I asked Dawn if she'd like to speak to my mother and she said she didn't want to get in the middle!? Layaway or Guardianship - Dawn can't even keep the story straight on why she's stealing the deposit.

I reminded Dawn about the promised steak knives gift (which was the main reason my parents agreed to the demo to begin with) and she said it was up to the salesperson which gift to give - steak knives or a vacation coupon and that they no longer even offered the steak knives. I told her they never received anything. Donna said she left a coupon in a white envelope on their kitchen table and maybe because they are under guardianship they threw it away!? I told her NOW you acknowledge the guardianship issue but not when the contract was signed? My mother is Japanese not senile - the language barrier makes it difficult for her to be understood not for her to understand.

I told Dawn if they're entitled to the vacation voucher then give them the voucher. She said she would have to cancel the previous voucher which would cost my parents $30 in order to re-issue a replacement voucher. I told her to keep the voucher and mail the deposit refund check for $200. She told me there was a $50 restocking fee to clean the vacuum cleaner but she would mail the check out TODAY. I told her it would have been nice for Donna to reveal that up-front whether or not it's in the contract they signed but fine, send the check for $150.

4/27/2011 - Received an email response from the BBB stating that Aqua Solutions responded they would be happy to resolve this problem if I would provide POA on my father. (Apparently, they thought I only had Guardianship and not POA - they were wrong!) I faxed a copy of the POA to BBB and asked BBB to fax it to Aqua Solutions.

5/20/2011 - Called BBB to follow-up on Aqua Solutions response. There was no further response so the complaint was being closed as "unresolved".

6/10/2011 - Called PrePaid Legal to prepare and send a Demand Letter for $165.00 from Aqua Solutions. ($150.00 deposit refund and $15.00 for mailing costs). I also filed a complaint with the FTC.

7/8/2011 - Filed complaints with YELP, LasVegasComplaints.com and called the Senior Citizen Law Project for referrals regarding scams against the elderly. Referred to the Nevada State Department of Aging & Disability.

7/14/2011 - Received a call from the Dept of Aging & Disability and the lady called Aqua Solutions where Alexis told her they did not know where to send the check but a check had been sent for $150. Interesting since they have my parents' address on their contract. She also said my parents said they were able to sign contracts so that's why Donna took the contract. I asked if Aqua Solutions had provided a copy of the check they claim they sent - she didn't receive anything.

Contacted the Regional Supervisor for Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners who contacted Dawn to try to resolve this. Dawn Adair, once again, lied about mailing out a check for $200 immediately.

8/11 /2011 - Paid ConsumerComplaintsAgency.com $25.00 to try to resolve this no-brainer case. At this point, Aqua Solutions owes $250.00 including costs-to-date.

8/30/2011 - Contacted Small Claims Court and attempting to use their Mediation process before filing in court which will cost an additional $46.

At this point, as far as I'm concerned - Aqua Solutions, especially Dawn Adair, the General Manager, and her slick salesperson, Donna Loviccia, steal from the elderly, push people into signing contracts and promise gifts and then switch the promised gift "bait & switch" in order to lure people into letting them into their homes for so-called "free demos" that end up costing thousands in fraudulently obtained contracts and they are doing this with the apparent knowledge of the business owners, Paul & Teresa Merlino. They have lousy business practices and even worse customer relations skills. Please avoid them and tell all your friends and family to avoid them. That's the only way businesses like this are forced to close and never screw anyone else.

Actually the steak knives are definitely appropriate. The company used the steak knives to lure potential clients who had no intention of buying a vacuum but only wanted the steak knives from the "Free Demo". It was a promised gift for the demo which allowed Donna Locricchio into the house for her high-pressure sales pitch. There was no requirement to sign a contract in order to receive the gift of the steak-knives. The interesting thing is how the salesperson/distributor Donna Locricchio did not even give the steak knives and then lied later to say she left a stupid vacation voucher on the table (not true) which my elderly parents would never have used anyway. I consider that "bait and switch". The contract was cancelled within the 72-hour period required by law and the Aqua Solutions contract states the company will refund the money within 10 days which it did not. By the way, you can buy refurbished, good-as-new rainbow vacuums for 1/3 the cost from a company in Florida that offers free shipping on any purchases over $50. As for taking the checkbook from my parents - that should not be necessary - the salesperson/distributor Donna Locricchio should never have pushed the contract onto my parents once they informed her that they were not supposed to sign contracts because they were under guardianship/POA. She took advantage of the elderly!

Sounds like a sad circumstance. But if they are under guardianship or POA, where was the guardian at that time? Doesn't seem worth the risk of letting strangers into their home for cheap knives. And if they aren't in a legal position to sign contracts the same should be said for checks. I understand you feel you got the run around about their refund. But pursuing the steak knives and coupons and additional funds for the trouble you've put yourself through seem like unnecessary stress your creating for yourself. Chalk it up to a life lesson and guide your parents to avoid these situations in the future. Better yet, have their "guardian" do a better job.

Rainbow System overpriced piece of nk

My son was hired by a scam artist named Luke Kay. He promissed him the moon and the stars and everything in between and instead gave him a whole $100 for me buying one of his $3000 dollar shop vacs called a Rainbow. Upon doing some online research I found that there are literally 1000's of complaints against the product the company bounced checks to sales reps unpaid taxes. If you need work your better off going anywhere else other than Rainbow or Luke kay. If you are in the process of buying one use your 3 day cancel period and return it. Otherwise you'll be paying 21 percent interest long after the office is closed. Note that in your owners manual there is no warranty to the customer from the manufacturer. Research Luke Kay and you'll see this is like the 3rd or 4th different vacuum he has sold claiming each one to be the best.

I recently was interviewed by Luke Kay, who, apparently, after thoroughly questioning him about pay rate ( he promised) and other rainbow concerns, which he never responded to seriously and made statements that were in regards to a mother ship and smurfs - since he later explained - thats the way he responds to silly questions, realized I was being scammed. He continually chamfer his promise ( pay rate, benefits & bonus ) regarding payment for my service that was to be rendered, wasted two of my days in a ridiculous orientation ( in which he goofed around, joked and bad mouthed while poked fun at other trainees in class setting in front of other individuals. Then called me in his office to ask for my friends and family information for leads so that business can go from my leads to sell the now quoted rainbow price of $2450 not $3000. Never gave me any Documents to sign, no W9 or I9 or any forms besides a ridiculous application I filled out, he never checked my references, looked at any of my Driver's lic., social security card or a form to copy and validate my identity. Nor was I given anything with a business card, letter head, document, form, etc from the company he supposedly hired me for ( customer service position ) from the ad I replied to ( posted for customer relations $17/hr in Denton ) from a Craigslist ad placed numerously . A "Red flag " went up when he kept changing the rules, gave me nothing from the so called company that sells Rainbow, along with not seeing my documents to validate who I am. Usually HR makes a copy of your Driver's license and or social security card). Also on second day, he had his partner a young guy who spent the entire day 2 making jokes, remarks on company leads styles, clothes, trips given by Luke Kay and how much drinking he engaged in since free alcohol by Distributor " Alan" and Team lead, " Luke Kay" was generously thrown at company party / trips. I didn't learn a thing on day two and Luke Kay who wasn't present on Day 2, wanted to see each of the remaining suckers, I mean, candidates, to ask for some leads in which he stated in his office on day 2, " You're ready, I believe in you. I just need a list about 6-10 people " to do a demo on so they can get a free gift .
The gift was to be a free rain mate ( humidifier air Cleaning little device - he said cost about $150- free to those who allow a demo to take place in their home. But the gift no longer was the item ( rain mate ) but now he stated in his office is a 3 day hotel stay at Ramada . Everything was said so fast and in a last minute forceful time sharing manner and unprofessionally. Lastly, as I can continually go on pointing exact facts and occurrences, all information was twisted, those informations that were shared were on a "need to know " basis . Omission of truth which we all know is a lie, is the theory and mission of this company "Luke Kay" plays on innocent, hard working individuals- In my opinion. I can't believe I wasted two days of my time, gas, food I brought in for a pot luck, Luke asked us trainees to bring, for using us trainees to gain leads for them to sell more "Rainbow" and boost about how many cars "Luke Kay" repeatedly stated he owned after divorcing his first wife and marrying someone else... Etc., etc., so shameless, may God deal with this man accordingly.

Rainbow System worst customer service ever

We bought a Rainbow System this summer and shortly after it was installed we had a warranty request. We submitted a warranty claim with a photo accordingly to their very cumbersome process and it has been almost 3 months - for 1 board. I still have no idea when we are going to get it.

The "customer service" person was rude, evasive and completely unhelpful. Not only that, he called and yelled at and threatened our sales person (who was actually helpful). I elevated the issue and thought I had an answer only to end up with not only no solution but also no communication. I tried to further elevate this simple request to the president only to find out that the non-communicating person was also the president.

This is a monkey bucket shop. I am surprised they are still in business.

Rainbow System bought air purifier never recieved

hello good working honest people,

I went to the lakecounty fair in july of 2010 and i went into the commercial exhibits building and i went to a booth selling rainbow vacum cleaners, they had a tube set up and you guess the correct number of dollar bills that are floating in the tube and the person who guesses the correct amount or the person who guesses closest to that amount wins the money. i heard nothing so i didnt hink nothing of it untill i got a call in early november that i won the raffle and all i had to do was let a rep from the rainbow company show me the vacum cleaner and for me to give my opinion and i wold recieve a check in 5 or 6 business days for 99.00. the sales man name is manuel torres, then he showed me a air purifier i thought that would be good because i have allergies and mr. torres said it was 50.00 and it is originally 85.00 but if i bought it today it would be 50.00 i gave him the 50.00 and he gave me a reciept for the 50.00 and a paper saying that i would get my 99.00 in 5 or 6 bussiness days.
I have never received the purifier or my 99.00 and numerous attempts to get my purifier failed with manuel saying its backordered from the warehouse to i have a family emergency, i even contacted the lakecounty fair and talked with the lady who handles the different vendors that come to the fair to help she called someone from the company and he called me and told me that i would recieve my 99.00 and my purifier in 2 days well 2 days have come and gone and i am still out of 50.00 and no moola so please do not let any sales perdon from the rainbow vacum cleaner company in your home they are crooks . if anyone has any phone numbers of where i can call to get my 50.00 back please e-mail me at [protected]@att.net

I bought the vacuum and agreed to the $2900 price. A month later I find out the company took out a $4000 loan under my name for the product. I did not consent to the $4000 loan for a vacuum. The company did not disclose that information. When I stated that i did not consent to the $4000 price and that they can take their machine back they stated they will not and that they will be putting it on my credit. Its a scam. Dont waste your money. You can get the whole system online for less than $1000.

North Texas Quality Air must be their new name. They have a job posting on Career Builder thats almost identical to the one posted above. I located this article while doing what any candidate for a job should do, which is research on the company. Ie products culture etc. Odd that a company who claims to have been in business for 75 years or what ever doesn't have a website isn't it? Well I got duped Into agreeing to attend an interview when I found this and thank god I did. I have actually tried this kind of work once when I was youn and naive for Kirby vacuum cleaners. I AM POSSITIVE THE SALES TECHNIQUE WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY THE SAME. Getting carted around for 12 hours a day in a large white van and going door to door trying to sell $1200.00 vacuum cleaners.. No pay is guaranteed, unless you con enough people to let you in their house at no notice to demonstrate this overpriced pos vacumme for 3 hours no pay for you. I called to verify my hunch that this was indeed vacumme cleaner sales and the lady who picked up, bless her heart tried to sidestep my questions as best as she could however I got her finally to admit this was a position selling Rainbow Vacumme cleaners. This is not a call center job, this is not a customer service job or a customer retention job. It is a d2d sales job and the product you would be selling is grossly overpriced to the point where you will waste valuable time attemtping to sell just ine of these vacummes when you should have used trying to find a legit position. No legitimate company woukd mis-represent the position as North Texas Quality Air has In their career builder advertisement. Key words are to follow so every thinkable search will bring searchers to this website so they can be well I formed before wasting their time.

North Texas Quality Air Scam, North Texas Quality Air Job, North Texas Quality Air Lake Dallas, North Texas Quality Air Rainbow Vaccume Sales, North Texas Quality Air Customer Service Job, scam.

I worked for Rainbow by Rexaire and after putting in long days driving, doing demos, and doing door to door reges, and spending money out of my own pocket for gas, giving them leads, and busting my butt trying to make it to 10 demos for the week so i could earn my base pay of $600 a week! Normally i wouldnt have worried about just making base pay but noone wants to buy rite now because of Christmas, and the fiscal cliff, not to mention they cost way too much! So when it came down to the last two days to make my ten demos, they claimed they'd help me get leads and then wouldnt. so i worked round the clock, and ended up not even getting my base pay! I WORKED ALL WEEK FOR FREE! and spent my own money for gas to do the demos! No wonder why my boss is "rollin in the dough!" I believe they do this among other things to many people and its sad, they prolly took bread n butter off many tables! TOTAL SCAM! HEARTLESS!

Oh my God. I totally agree. I got out before I gave them any leads or lost my shirt. They are complete bozos, clowns and con artist with Alan as the distributor. The whole thing I will attempt to bring forth to the investigation department, a branch name, I wish to leave off and not mention. Gathering more people I've got into contact with will stop this company that calls themselves, " North Denton Quality air " while selling rainbows vaccume cleaner like Kirby machines . They are fast talkers in, Texas ( Denton ) Luke Kay who jokingly, pokes fun at anyone or anything questioning him or his buddy ( who teaches class to new trainees ) . With a fast, slurring in tone and impossible to understand every other word for reasons of poor announciation, fast talking run into words kinda of way, they threatened to cut you off a team that the new selected soul was hired to perform, if questions of concerns were asked by the new hiree and Luke Kay thought the question was stupid or not worth an answer. In Texas too, this ###'s about to hit a fan of 2400 RPM ... In due time ... As every action has a consequence and the company they go by " North Denton Quality Air" is nothing but this eccentric, ego maniac, inarticulate, dry sensed so called little boy, name "Luke Kay" ... Who falsifyingly states no fact while trying to get into your business asking if what you have on is real or fake ( asked me if my diamond bracelet was real ) ... Who does that? Then he tries to dig out a long list of 6-10 people who would possibly buy his damn R2D2 looking machine - as he calls it. It looks like a fragile, 2 foot black little inaccurate vaccume cleaner . That's all. They claim the top is the quality of a football helmet. Really? Ok. Well they say so . They claim it'll last 50 years. Oh ok! But they guarantee 4 years bumper to bumper and 8 for motor. Yet, they know it'll last 50 years. This machine " rainbow" may do the work, not for sure what it does, since they goofed off during training no. 2 failed to show what all it can do, yet they said by Monday we'll be on our own to sell the rainbow. Nothing about what Luke Kay stayed consistent nor accurate and with the shifting of his tone, statements and promises, he never put anything in writing. As a former law student, it didn't take me long to figure it all out to the conclusion that ... I concur with all the complaints filed on( Luke Kay's ) . He is a slimy, cheesy, unprofessional slime... In my opinion.

Previous poster, abby2211, they don't ask for your money. They don't scam people. They don't lie to people. The least you could have done was go and give them a chance, but you didn't. Don't ever base your opinion on one potential job opportunity on one person's review, b/c you don't know if that person lied, cheated, or stole something from the company that got them fired. I work for them now, and they were nothing but professional the whole way through, and the people are amazingly nice.
I'm sorry, but you lost out on a really good thing.
However, we only want positive and encouraging people, not people who call interviews 'stupid' and who give up after one complaint on Gegelman Inc...especially when this is the only complaint on the internet at all about Gegelman.
Good job.

I work for the company now and I can tell you for a fact that Gegelman Inc. is run by quality people who don't lie, scam or hustle people because they DON'T HAVE TO. Their product is awesome enough to sell itself that all its employees have to do is show how it works and people want it. And it's healthy. You can't put a price on health.
So, I'm sorry, I read this complaint before I applied for the job but I gave it a shot anyway, and it's the absolute best opportunity I've seen in years and I'm so so so so glad I didn't listen to this joker b/c the people are awesome and so freaking nice, they don't ask people to do anything that devalues their morals or ethics, and they love to make sure people are proud of their accomplishments. I haven't worked a day in their office without someone congratulating me on something or other that I did and getting a high five. I got 4 or 5 high fives today. I love Tammie and Todd. They rock and I hope I can keep working for them for a very very long time.

Rainbow System stealers, worst job ever

What ever you do even if you guys are desperate for a job. Do not ever work with rex air--rainbow air certified cleaner my ###.

First you see the add which says $20.00/hr, gas allowance, choose your own schedule...

The first day of training, i walked in to a room with about 15 other people, the manager put on a hip-hop song, and ordered pizza for the employees, and coffee, i said to my self.. Its too good to be true. That was the 1st day.

Then they started to talk about the program, the manager bragged about how much money he got, and how his brother introduced him in to this job, and telling everybody u should come to the every monday house opening, where they order pizza, and win prizes and if you bring a costumer who bought a rainbow you'll get $25.00 gas allowance, so they kept on talking about their promotions. One of them is if you get 4 customers on your own and one of them gets a sale, its a free day at the nordek spa...I had 4 customers in 3 weeks, none evolve for a sale, because the damn machine is $2500, and they all know that they can get the machine for $250 from china. I wanted to quit this job, i came to pick up my check and they gave me an $80 personal check...I got hella pissed! I held it in, and said isnt training paid too? $20.00 hr? They said no training is not paid, just the demonstration that you give each client is paid, example 2hrs max is 40$. ...Which means in a week i got $80.00 people in freakin asia make more then me in a day...Then the manager who "trained" me asked well since you will be leaving us will you come to the monday opening? I said no im too busy, then he started slamming his books on the table, and being all mad like a fukin baby in front of his receptionist, and have me a rude smile and said ok..Bye...I said aw hell no. I hope this company will rot with all the dust bunnies in hell ###.

And way more stories occurred with this fukin company..Even customers for crying out loud is not satisfied..Lousy busniess, lousy managers, lousy company, and lousy theft price.. Well at least i stole their fukin mini rainbow that cost $150.00 i got my real money back..But in a different way.

9 years ago i bought an expensive vacuum from rainbow. When i was buying it i was told that the guarantee is almost life. It started working badly recently and when i went to the business to find out whats wrong they asked me to pay $650 to get it fixed because the motor broken. I said that i don't have that kind of money. I come home and the owner calls me cursing at me, calling me names and telling me she is going to throw out my vacuum. What am i supposed to do in this situation ? The vacuum cost &2, 000. For this money it should be the best vacuum alive.

Rainbow System cheaper online, and expensive through agents!!!

Incident occurred a couple of hours ago: May 11, 2010 from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

I went to the Green Living Show at the DE Centre this year. I signed to win a "Rainmate ". A few weeks later, they called and said that I won the Rainmate and they need to deliver it to me, but they needed a schedule to also ensure that I get a free mattress cleaning. I agreed to the mattress cleaning.

She came to my home and set up the Rainmate and started to go through the sch-peel of selling me the vacuum. I knew this was going to be a sales pitch of an expensive kind.

We went through the sales pitch after 2 hours! She wanted me to buy the product at the price of $2500 and it is only available at that rate or if anything purchase the product at $3900 after the visit. It was a real pressure sales tactic.

I work in the energy retail industry doing complaints, so I know first hand in dealing with shoppers remorse. I NEVER jump at any offer. I stated that I never commit to anything at least 3 times, and she called her manager using my cell phone and as she spoke with her manager, she was speaking to me through her manager advising me indirectly, 'no, I didn't know that I could give him the cooking set today if he purchased' and 'I already told him that it is a great investment and it is for his health' blah blah blah.

I was kind enough just to let her finish her talk with the manager and stayed firm at my no. I helped her pack up the vaccine and even helped her to the car.

As soon as I came in, I researched the vacuum and found out I could purchase these vacuum from $300 to $500. I want to tell everyone not to buy from sales agents. It is cheaper to buy online.

Btw... the Rainmate is just a plug in air freshener! Does not clean the air at all! It even says so at the bottom of the motor 'air freshener'. Garbage. And to think, she wanted to sell me the scents for $30.

I purchased one and it works as well as any other vacuum. We signed a contract that the sales person changed. We went to pay off the vacuum only to find our interest rate is almost double what we were told, the dates are crossed out and changed, numbers are different for the amounts. Needless to say the contract copy the bank sent us is different than the one we signed. As soon as I find my copy we will be getting a lawyer.

I agree with jc_byblos, just had a demonstration couple days ago and it was a lot of pressure from salesman, before making an appointment for demonstration he said it will take about half an hour, then after coming one hour late, he said that it's gonna take only few minutes, he was showing it almost for 2 hours! He said that they gonna buy our old vacuum for a full price as it was new, also call the manager in front of us and it was the same ### talk, they want to sell it to you right away. As soon as he got in, he's planning to leave that vacuum at your place and get your money. People, don't be fooled by this agents, don't buy it right away, do your research and you'll find the same vacuum with all, like they said "special presents for you", extras and with warranty. It's a great product, no doubt, but the way they wanna sell it - it's just a rip off. Be smart, you can find this vacuum brand new in a box for around 1600$ with 5 years warranty. NOT as they said value of this vacuum 3900$, but only today and only for you we'll give you 1000$ off discount, so you just pay 2900$ and we'll take your old vacuum. Good luck everyone and I really help my reply will save someone's money.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with a Rainbow Dealer. I am a Rainbow Dealer in Alabama and the first thing you should be telling people is that if you purchase a Rainbow online and not through a Reputable Dealer will Void the warranty on the product. The ones you are speaking of are pre-owned units that have most likely been reposed. Rainbow makes the best product out there and as far as my Rainmate goes, It does clean the air, it purifies, aromatises, humidfies and vaporizes. Since placing my Rainmate in my bedroom, I have not had to dust the table it sits on or my dresser. Another thing, just for your info --- even the Owner of e-bay wouldn't buy one on his own site due to the fact it Voids the warranty.

Rainbow System they don't care after the sale

They do not care after the sale..Stay Clear Away From Rainbow Playsets...

We spent $3, 700 on our Rainbow Castle in 2003 at their Lake in the Hills, IL. Location

We stain our set every year, go over all nuts, bolts, screws. We bring in the tarp, tire & all swings in the garage every winter.

Now in May 2008 we noticed some rotted wood, a couple of screws not tightening. WE called Rainbow's local main office in Vernon Hills IL, they said this is normal wear & tear. After my wife persistently pushed, Rainbow told us to take pictures and send them in. How do you take a picture of a screw not tightening I asked. I was clear no one was coming out to look at this. After seeing the pictures we were told once again normal wear & tear.

Now in April 2010 we have a lot of rotted wood. Nuts, bolts, screws will no longer tighten as a result of the rotted wood. Over the phone a Rainbow Rep told me the wood was not rotted. As a licensed General Contractor and a custom home builder, I asked her, how over the phone you can tell me that the wood is not rotted? Next, she tried to tell me this is normal wear and tear. (The Best Part) She finally offered to send a Rep out, But first wanted me to pay up front for a trip charge.

Ours is falling apart, is dangerous, & I've been trying to get it fixed for 2 years. The lifetime warranty doesn't cover labor or shipping so even if they honor the warranty, it will still cost us a fortune for us to get the set repaired that they promised would "last a lifetime". I've done more paperwork for them than we did for our mortgage and then today they told me I need to do it all over and send it to someone else. I SERIOUSLY regret buying Rainbow. It cost a FORTUNE and now it will cost another fortune to get it safely taken apart and hauled out of the yard. It was probably played on a dozen time and cost THOUSANDS of $$$$. This was a huge mistake.

Rainbow System thieves

I do not have enough bad things to say about this company located in Memphis, TN. Moved a rotten Rainbow playset to my home and when I asked them (prior to the move) if the unit was safe I was told yes. Charged me almost $700 to move it. When I attempted to discuss it the owner of RPS in Memphis was a total ***. He never felt like they had an ethical obligation to tell me it was rotten in places I could not see just wanted to make $$$, A local carpenter said he would have moved it for $200 and is now replacing the rotten wood to make it safe for my 4 year old. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY-wonderwoodsinc.com would be a far better choice!

I purchased a Rainbow Vacuum cleaner in 1996 with the promise of a free Lifetime Warranty. This is not true, there is no free lifetime warranty. You must pay for it. If your dealer goes out of business so does your Lifetime Warranty even if you have been paying for it. I went to an authorized Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner Dealer in SF and was given a $480 estimate...

Rainbow System scam, scam, scam

On November 7, 2007 my husband and I purchased a play set for our children which was their christmas present. It was to be delivered when we moved into our new home. We are almost ready to move into our new home so when I called the company it was sold and the new owner said he has no records of my purchase. Then I faxed over a copy of my invoice and he said well how do I know you didn't already receive it. First of all it is a 25' ft play system for the backyard and it was to be delivered late may early June when I called them for delivery dates. So, I called to set up a delivery date and now I can't receive my children's christmas present, which was a total of $4090.61 In funds.

Rainbow System simply terrible

Spent a few thousand dollars. Thought i was paying for product and good customer service. Wrong, your only paying for a name and maybe a little better material except for the most critical part...the safety handles. Three out of six handles broke after one year. They became brittle and broke with minimal prssure. I returned them and recieved new ones, the Rainbow salesman said theres nothing else to do because they are in the sun all day. Hmmmm, have they ever heard of stainless steel. Rainbow sales man wanted me out the door a lot fatser then the day i went to purchase it. If you buy a Rainbow, dont expect good customer service after you give them your money. Its all about the money for them...good luck!

Rainbow System Fraud and cheating

I had a friend who started working for this company, she had to make a certain quota in demonstrations to even get a paycheck. She was on her first week & had done one at her Mom's & then I told her she could do one at my home next. When she arrived, she went through all the paperwork, exhibits of how it worked, store bought vacuums vs theirs, etc.

After 2 hours of this she finally gets to the price of the vacuum...over $2000! I was like we can not afford that! So she was like I understand, she was like could you call & see if someone else would like a demo & you will get the 'Rainbaby' free. (That is there air purifier).

I tried to call a couple of people either got voicemail or no answer. So she called her boss & explained I did not have anyone to lead off of me & that I could not afford the vacuum myself. He then got on the phone with me asking how many hours I worked, what I did for a living, etc. Was extremely PUSHY! Then he kept having my friend ask me questions while she was on the phone with him.

I finally said listen I just got a new vacuum a few months ago. He was like well what would you do if that one broke? I said go buy another one or use my husbands in the garage (a shop vac). He called my friend the following morning & told her that when I told her that, that she should have went & got my shop vac & turned it on & put it in my face! She had her phone on speakerphone so even her boyfriend heard this jerk say it!

I will NEVER allow another vacuum salesperson in my home again!

One day after killing myself at work for 12 hours when I got home there was a Salesman there trying to sell my wife a vacuum cleaner. He was showing me piles of dirt that they could suck up and all this other nonsense. I told him I wasn't interested in could you please take his vacuum and leave. He left, the next day my wife had bought the vacuum. I was mad as hell. I called the salesman and told him I would pay cash. He took the bait and came back to my house where I commenced to kicking him is in his [censored] pretty good. After he got a good beating I threw him and his vacuum out the front door like a piece of trash that he was. I feel this company is a fraud a scheme and extortion and larceny hearted. I have a complaint with the Rainbow Distributers in AZ. I watched their presentation to do a favor for a friend who has extreme allergies and needs this product. They said it would only be about two hours but stayed over 4 hours! They didn't warn me it was a loud presentation and my kids were sleeping. I didn't know they would be vacuuming. They fool you by saying it's an air purifier--half truths. The product is great, but it is very expensive and they tell you if you get it tonight and sign up for their program you get it free but you still pay initially. We actually were in the market for a new vacuum and liked the features of the product and our friend liked it too so it made us feel it was worth trying to do the program and get it free( Though they make you feel like your house is dirty and judge you for how you clean) We felt pressured to make a decision and after we said yes (it was late we we're sleep deprived and hypnotized in a sense) we found out after signing that part of the deal was that they take our old vacuum. After we found this out we threw a fit and they agreed to let us keep it, but they wanted us to lie to our friends when we do a show and not tell them we got to keep ours. I decided I didn't want it then, but it was signed already so they left in a hurry. I had anxiety all the following day and knew it was not a smart choice to go $3000 in debt for so I read their three day return policy rules and let them know we are returning it and signed the cancellation notice. They didn't accept it on the first call even though we signed the cancellation and went as far as blocking the credit card. Instead they called my friend who booked our show and verbally kept pushing her to convince us to keep it but she is a good friend and respected our decision. No is no. Finally when the manager called she was still relentless about their process and us keeping it. She even told me my anxiety I was feeling the day after comes from the devil and not from God like she has a right to tell me that and judge my decisions. This is very unprofessional and this is not a good business tactic. They finally took their vacuum and did not get our business, but they are doing shady business and are very inconsiderate and will lie or do anything just to try to get the sale. Yes the Rainbow is a pretty nice vacuum but it's overpriced and the sales team are not worth the stress. I'll keep using my disgusting vacuum or "dust mite hotel" as they say.

Please help stop this company from misleading and taking advantage of other people.

A very disappointed rainbow victim

I recently joined the Go4it program. It's not as easy as they make it seem to get your 12 people. None of the reps were pushy and I do enjoy the demos. They are too long but it's important information. So far I have sold 3 out of 4. The machine is great and does what they say but it's best to stay on top of them concerning your qualified shows. In fact I'm going to start printing out my information to have for when I complete the program. And I did het my first free gift. You can go pick your gifts up as you earn them once you get your conformation email. I love my rainbow. Some of the qualifications suck because they make it more difficult to earn. But other than that...if I could I would het another one for my down stairs

Too often we expect items to be sold to use at big box stores, bought off third world markets and brought to us cheap.

These vacuums kick butt and bring in the value if you need things to be clean. If you have trouble with allergies and don't like chemicals, using water to filter the dust is what you need backed up with a hepa.

http://www.rexairinc.com/ is a good place if you have complaints instead of just on a board.

100% agree! I’ve spent more money on worse ... if you add up all the 400-600 dollar vacuum cleaners not to mention shampooers and mops just in 5 years my rainbow is quite reasonable in price. I guess for me it was about wanting to spend my money on quality not the smoke and mirrors I had been for years on other systems . Not to mention my health has improved. Rainbow isn’t for everyone and that’s ok ... but I think it’s unfair to slander an honest company

If you check, you'll find that Rexair Rainbow has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since the 1960's and has an A+ rating. I noticed someone complained that you had to dump the dirty water down the toilet after using! Such hard work! It sure beats destroying your lungs cleaning a hepa filter. The Rainbow is also a whole house purifier, up to 3000 square feet. It is meant to run on low (very quiet) 24 hours a day. It has a brushless motor which should last longer than the owners. Also, it is certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

"Wet dust can't fly"!
Or, keep buying those filthy paper sacks and rearranging dirt around your house. And don't forget, before that smelly dust settles down all over your furniture and clothes, you AND your family will breathe it in. To make matters even worse, that's not even your own dirt, it's the world's filth you track in your home from the Mall, public bathrooms etc. and blow it around your house thru that vacuum cleaner bag!
Rainbow...not only the best, but the ONLY one...

I cannot believe that a bunch of Rainbow managers, repair people and sales are calling people stupid and don't know what they are talking about. Overwhelmingly, by at least 99% say Rainbow is a fraud...not only do they cheat and lie to salespeople...they are pushy, arrogant and totally dishonest to customers. For a Rainbow repair tech to say that Rainbow will not sell you parts to fix your machine if you bought it on Ebay...is the first step in never buying this vacuum.

I USED to sell Rainbows, not for a week, for a month, but close to 3 YEARS and I have seen it all. I have a total of 249 sales. First off, did you know that the Rainbow DOES spread dust out like any other vacuum? That's why they put the HEPA filter on the exhaust. Before, there were tons of grit from the dust at the exhaust of the Rainbow. Also, did you (any dealer) know after you pulled the dirt with a bunch of cloths with your R-bow, a competitor can come right after you and pull even MORE dirt from the exact same carpet!? Lol - I have a friend who sells Tri-star and did just that. They bought the Tri-star. I'm not a Tri-Star dealer, but I will tell you it's MUCH better made than the Rainbow, MUCH easier to use and put away after you clean. You are paying for a BIG, BULKY piece of plastic where you have to fill it with water each time, clean the separator, wash out the basin, and dump the mud out SOMEWHERE to top it off, and it STILL blows dust out like any other machine. And the motor WILL rot on you given time - the distributors make a FORTUNE on repairs. I saw about 30 Rainbows at my office to be repaired and I kid you not - these Rainbows, due to water being used as a filter for dirt, smelled like DEAD RATS. I almost threw up in the repair room and the service guy was wearing a HAZMAT mask! And you're selling this $150 unit for $3, 000 ( w/interest)? And I haven't even gotten into the commission structure. Let's just say you are GROSSLY UNDERPAID, especially when you pay for gas, food, decent clothing, insurance, wear/tear/repair AND depreciation on your vehicle, while YOU have to come up with ALL THE LEADS AND set the appointments. Did you know the distributor (much more so for RGD's) makes MORE on YOUR sale with YOUR leads than YOU do? And YOU did ALL the hard work, including twisting peoples' arm at 10:30PM in their house. I and two other COLONELS left this racket to join the military because we saw there was only ONE guy making BANK in our office and it wasn't us. Believe me, what I've told you is just the tip of the iceberg.

Rainbow System terrible product

We purchased our playset 4 years ago and it looks like complete ***. It has mould all over the rubber parts, the wood is rotting and my kids won’t go near it.

Rainbow says this is normal wear and that I need to clean it weekly with Simple Green cleaner. Can you believe this crap? I am supposed to go clean the playset that is in my back yard weekly? It is supposed to have a lifetime warranty and is already falling apart. The Simple Green cleaner does nothing and the local dealer here is not helpful and could care less at our dissatisfaction with this expensive product we so stupidly bought. Don’t buy a playset with this company, they suck and are constantly full of crap. Once they have your money, they could care less about you.

Beware of the "lifetime warranty."
I wish I read the reviews before we spent $5, 000 on this set.
Was not used very much but it deteriorated quickly.

The product is not only bad, but when you need the warranty, they will tell you that you neglected the set and the "instructions clearly state that you need to take care of it."
So, if it sounds to be too good, it probably is.
I sent photos of the set and that was enough for them to deny the warranty. Bummer.

This company is horrible to deal with. Bridget and candy are rude and unhelpful. My product is defective and they are asking me for an additional $300 to fix it. The metal is rusted and dangerous for my children to use

I bought one of the Castles collection a few years back. A few of the pieces were starting to warp, and a few more were splintering on the floor of the tower. My son wound up with several splinters because of this. I am in Afghanistan for work, and could not be there to repair, so we contacted Rainbow. The staff was very friendly and apologetic, but it kept taking longer and longer to get responses. I finally called them myself, explained to the manager what all had transpired, and explained that if the play set was not fixed by time I got home for my son's birthday party, I would personally go to their showroom, remove the parts I needed from their demo, and fix my set that way! The parts showed up a week later. I argued the point of having to pay for install, but that was the only way they would still "warranty" it. I have never sealed or stained mine. There is no rot, but the bigger boards do separate some. The yellow bars do turn black, but a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser cleans them right up! I also use them on the slide and tarp. Works great! If you stay on top of cleaning it regularly with the erasers, I'm sure there wouldn't be so many complaints. I can only clean mine once every six months because of my job, unless I want to pay someone else to do it. We love our set. We've had myself, my wife, my son, brother in law, sister in law and their daughter, the boy next door and the little girl from the other next door, ALL on it at the same time. We were happy enough with it that several months ago, we purchased one of their trampolines for my son. Again, we had four adults with 3 or more children on it at the same time, and had a blast. I am in no way a spokes person for Rainbow, and trust me, I have my complaints. Some times you have to let them know you are willing to take things into your own hands, and not just bark over the phone or email!

Bought a Sunshine Clubhouse (now model 30B) in early summer 2005. It included the elevated clubhouse with tarp roof, picnic table, ramp, scoop slide, two swings, rope swing, etc. Spent a bit over $3000. The design is excellent. Had it installed by the local area dealer - great job. Within a couple of months the toy binoculars were so damaged by exposure they were no longer of interest to the kids. After about 3 years the scoop slide cracked badly and the tarp roof began to fail. At the 5 year mark all wood in contact with the ground was showing serious rot, the picnic table seating was too rotted to be safe as seating for small children, the clubhouse decking was rotting and collapsing under load, and the entire structure was showing early signs of structural weakness.

The warranty reads well until you dig deep enough to appreciate what is really covered if you wish to make a claim. RPS will provide the part, you pay the shipping (not cheap), and then you install or pay to have it installed. If I wanted to replace the rotted wood, the entire system would have to be disassembled as the main uprights (six 4 x 4 pieces) were becoming well rotted from the soil level.

While we considered replacing the entire system, I began to selectively disassemble the original unit!. Much to my dismay I found the rot to be far more extensive than I previously thought:. Even more alarming was the extent of corrosion of many of the critical fasteners that held the structure together -- through-wood carriage bolts were badly corroded and distorted from load torsion, and many of the lag screws in the structure were so badly corroded that they snapped when removal was attempted. The entire system was unsafe and had to be scrapped..

What looked good in the beginning has proved to be far less robust than expected. The fasteners are not durable over a reasonable expected lifetime. The rate of wood decay was much greater than anticipated, and greater than what I have enjoyed from locally sourced pressure treated lumber installed in the same environment The warranty is really a joke (shipping of the wood pieces costs more than the price of new treated wood). Based on our experience, I would suggest a reasonable expected lifetime of 5 years before the system becomes unsafe for children. You may be able to extend that with some increased effort and expenditure for annual maintenance (expect to spend $400-$500 per year).

If you buy a system be sure to inspect it closely and carefully at least annually for safety. Include in this removing and inspecting about 20-30% of the through-wood carriage bolts and nuts for corrosion. Do not attempt to remove any of the lag screws - they tend to snap if corroded, and you'll never be able to reinstall one that has snapped.

We were smart enough to build our own wood structure after looking at the units they had as their display, but we did buy their accessories. What a huge mistake! The yellow handrails and monkey bar rungs are gross, they have black sticky stuff and are all blistered. I have tried every cleaning product recommended to clean them. Nothing works. The kids won"t touch them because they are so gross, how safe is that. Rainbow has said because we did not buy the whole unit there was no warranty on the accessories. Buyer PLEASE BEWARE!

I bought my carnival clubhouse from Houston dealer of Rainbow play system on Sam Houston tollway. I found this company and its dealer in Houston dishonest in dealing with their customer's warranty request. They would use a number of excuses to deny the "lifetime warranty" - they tried "act of God", when that can't be proved, they switch to "Customer's neglect". You see that you have to seal the wood "regularly" and clean it "regularly" to qualify. Even if you did that, they may still deny warranty for neglect because you didn't do it "often enough" for your "local weather condition". Their dealer will tell you that Rainbow play set cost much more than other similar products because rainbow's wood part are factory sealed and has lifetime warranty against wood rot and even insect damage. But that's just a bunch of lies. The rainbow's wood parts suffers weather damage easily in Houston's weather even though I sealed them every 2 years and kept them free of mildews. Rainbow's warranty lady in S. Dakota said that "it should be sealed every 12 months". If You did that, what's keeping her from changing it to "every 6 months "? The customers can't win in that game.
If you don't want to be ripped off, don't buy Rainbow play systems. You can buy a similar play set at SAMs club or Costco or big box stores for 1/4 of the price or less. That means you can afford to throw away a set every 3-4 years and get a new one for the same price of a rainbow set until you kids out grow it.

Yep, Here in Olathe, KS we bought one for about 4 grand brand new. It was great at first but then the yellow plastic covered rails became all gunky and sticky. NOTHING could clean them. It was like pulling teeth to get those pieces replaced. We had to send pictures, have people come out, etc... It was quite the run around. They finally reluctantly replaced my parts, BUT I HAD TO do the installation. The plastic add ons like the parascope and binoculars lasted about 2 years and the sun just destroyed them. The tarp just got ripped up in a wind storm 2 weeks ago. I knew the tarp would be out of warranty so I called to price a new one. 240 bucks! WTF rainbow? Really? Thats robbery. Went to Lowes and bought supplies to make it a wood roof for 110 bucks.
In hind sight I would not buy another. Its better then the ones you get at Sams or Costco but NOT 3 grand better. It would not be bad IF THEY HONORED their warrenty. However these seem to be franchises and most individual owners are really stingy with what they will do for you despite the "lifetime Warranty".

I purchased a Rainbow Playset for my children with the expectation that this was a better playset with a lifetime warranty. The set has rotted wood and insect damage in many different areas. Rainbow does not tell you that in order to have your rotted wood replaced under their warranty, you will incur a shipping charge of $343 to get your items. The company will not replace your warranty item without prepayment of $343 for shipping. Clearly this is a deterrent for most people who would otherwise want their expensive playset to be repaired.

I am willing to pick up the items myself from the store where I purchased the swingset, but they will only warranty with a $343 payment. DO NOT BUY with the expectation that this set will last and have any warranty. The company will not accept delivery of your parts at their warehouse in Parsippany NJ on a truck combined with their other orders. The company will not offer to charge you a proportionate shipping rate for the number of pounds in your order at the same rate as the total trucking shipment. Their "warranty" is a profit center for them, not a warranty for you as the customer. Also, their customer service is only available on Mondays and Tuesdays, so if you have an order on a Tuesday, it takes a week to get an answer.

The rep at the parsippany store does not provide a phone number for Rainbow directly to have your issue resolved. AVOID THIS COMPANY
If they make good on their warranty, I will amend this review.

I will add my issue. My rainbow set is the type with the monkey bars where the swings are suspended from one side of the monkey bars. I had one issue where the wooden components rotted and started to separate. I contacted recreation umlimited of noblesville indiana about the warranty. They did agree to submit a claim to replace the materials but I of course had to wait 2 months for the replacement wood and pay them for the labor. What happened next is what makes me angry. My daughter was outside on one of the swings when two of the bolts sheared off and the entire set began to collapse on top of her. Fortunately the upper part caught as it fell and did not completely collapse on top of her. So far Rainbow has denied warranty coverage and blamed me for not staining the wood. Keep in mind the parts that failed were replace about a year earlier by them and I paid for them for the labor. Also keep in mind that the failure is metal hardware so there is nothing that applying stain the wood will do to protect hardware.

Yesterday I sat through a two hour demonstration of the "Rainbow Cleaning System" (from a friend of my son). I was quite embarrassed for this young man, and advised him to find another part time job as soon as possible. Are there really people out there gullible enough to buy this product? How do they justify the $2600 price tag (and that does not even...
