rude collection office from rank bank
Dear RAK BANK Team,
My husband lost his job and been jobless for almost 9 months now. Thus, i am solely covering all our expenses and wasn't able to pay my monthly dues.
I missed 2 months payment, and this guy named Harry from your collection agency was calling my company and shouting, very unprofessional guy. One guy visited our office (which i believed is not allowed) however, since he is really good i talked to him and wpaid the due and ask for payment restructuring.
After a month, this Harry called me again saying that i need to visit his office now and submit a cheque to them. i said what? i already signed a cheque on the time of application of the credit card. and why there's need for another cheque.
As i wanted to settle it, . i contacted the bank directly and i was advised that i need to wait like 3 days to get someone called me from their bank for my request of settlement.
Please, RAKBANK, do not give any account to this rude collection company. We as your client, we know our part and admitted our mistake due to unforeseen event.
We expect at least a courtesy from you. Again, as of this writing, this Harry called me and asking me who i talked with their bank. See, it doesn't matter, if he is really working in that bank, he should know... the thing is this people are uneducated.
Please i am appealing with RAK BANK management to change your ways. RESPECT is a really important and if we feel harassed by your team, we know our right and will both talk to Police so to solve this issues.

Last April 24, 2019 I applied for a Liability Certifcate for Rakbank and until now I may not be able to get it. Its almost due it time and no one helped me. Is this thier way of punishing us of transferring different bank. I really that liability letter As soon as possible before this week. I felt so much frustrated about what happen.

I my self Sanjaya Kumar Jena, partner of this Modern Freight Services FZC., registered on SAIF zone. The company has freight forwarding business in India, Singapore, Malaysia and Dubai too.
Due to expansion of business, we need to open a Bank account on your esteemed Bank. We have submitted signed Form and all desired signed documents to your Burjuman Branch on 26th March 2019.
Initially, they have verified and clear all the documents handed over to Mr Ashwin (+971 50 107 1684) in Burjuman Branch. .After despite of regular follow up, no body has not given any proper response, no feed back and suddenly I got to know Mr Ashwin on the leave and the documents handed over to Mr Vijay Anantharaman (+971 56 979 5267).
Suddenly, we have received a mail on 23rd April they need all documents again through mail which we have provided immediately.
Then I am in regular follow up with Mr Vijay through mail, whatsapp, phone call and also call to Mr Ishan Gupta who is sitting Nashwan Building ( whom I contact initially+971-56 406 5821). But the answer is nothing. They are only giving us blank smile and we are doing on this, keep patience, please wait, we are on the job this kind of statement listening last one month and fed up.
I can not expect, this kind of service we are getting such a brand Bank. VERY SURPRISE !
I just told them, if delay can I know the reason why delay ! what is the fault or any issue our side. I just want to know the cause before proceeding to other Bank.
DUBAI is always making slogan, easy of doing business and certainly I feel this kind of service if you will get then how we doing business !

The pain I can not express and the experience with RAK BANK is TOO MUCH PAINFUL.
Still I am writing this mail, as I am suffering request do not keep any faith to any customer as you never knows the small business man is doing a genuine business. Though I have given all the details as you may see the below mails.
The response, the cooperation & customer satisfaction is so pathetic and honestly, this kind of experience I never face last 19 year of my career.

collection department behaviours
I would like to bring to your attention a recent incident which happened on
20th of April.
I have been arrested by police from my Duty location with confiscation of my duty security pass.
Later in the police office, I have been informed that RAK Bank filed a case
against me regarding (giving cheque without balance with bad intention), my passport was taken in the police station to release me and my Airport pass.
The same day I went to RAK Bank SHJ branch and senior customer service officer Mariana Vasile checked the system and informed me that I have no late payment for the bank and she assumed that it can be compliant from collection department.
I went to the collection & recovery department Al Qusais where I met Husam Abbas.
He told that they filed a case against me due to late payment for one-month installment in January 2019 and I received a long lecture from Mr.Husam Abbas teaching me how to behave, how to answer the phone and correcting my manners.
I have been informed literally that case filed against me due to my wrong manners and behaviors not due to late payment.
In fact, my salary monthly transfer to RAK Bank and I received it after deduction for loan and credit card, so when I went to collection department, Bank has already received the whole payments more than two weeks ago.
He advised me to come back in another working day due Saturday is off day, and he promised when I will come he will issue the clearance document and I will be able to collect my passport back from the police station.
I came with my 3 months baby and husband to the collection & recovery department on the 28th of April at 12:00 pm to get the clearance document and with believes that I will collect it as the promise of Husam Abbas.
With breaking the standards of customer service, we have been forced to wait for any staff assistance to collect the document until I met Mr.Nedhal (I got the name from the security) after waiting more than 2 hours, he ordered me to wait 5 minutes after he behaved with very rude and unprofessional way.
after 35 minutes waiting, I get to know that all staff on break and I saw all staff outside smoking in the street.
My husband asked the security to call any staff and security staff (G4s) was answering in a very arrogant way until my husband became angry.
Later came Husam Abbas after many calls to his mobile phone and was very rude with us and pointing on us using finger and pen in his hand and shouting on us and telling me to sign the paper with ordering manner which make me really disappointed from the manners of your staff against the customers, and when I told him that I will complain against them he signed by his hand and shouted on me with ordering to go and complain.
as the conclusion at all what I mentioned above, you can see that I faced a very tough situation from RAK Bank staff been raised a case without reason but only with personal issues of your staff.
For that, I request to investigate the issues mentioned below and follow up with me.

This month of April 2019 were having 3 returns cheques even small amount. The suppliers no consideration they are eager to take their payment even im requesting to them. Since we start the business only this time happens. And i have a loan from your bank. That im paying every month.
i have loan, Agreement No: [protected] of 206, 000.00. They deduct the 6, 000.00aed one time and 8, 115.00 aed for monthly. Total of14, 115.00 same month. Till now we paid on time. We done 19mons paid.
But this time, I will ask help to your bank to please top up my loan just to save my business. To whom i will ask support except your bank. You have all the details with you. Its happens this year situation, if you can consider my request we need your help to top up just to pay my warehouse.
And my personal cards ending 5007 and ending 6007 they taking the payment directly to the company accounts.. Its happens 16th of April 2019 I received notification @ 5:10am that they deposited the chq that im asking to hold from my supplier. But sadly they don't listen.. I deposited 1000aed @ 5:34am just to save not to have return chq. But instead that fund is enough to that chq amount of 935 your bank deducting right away the amount for the card ending 5007.
Sir, im really appreciate if you can support us and help us this time. Just to save my company. Till now Im still hoping that you can help our company.

Sir,
Regarding to my balance credit card (Card no: [protected]) payment and loan amount (Account No. [protected]), can you please hold and granted me three month time to pay my next payment, because of my company terminated me, they want to reduce their manpower.
In addition, the last credit card payment was on 10th of April 2019 one of my friend paid the amount on Next day 11th April 2019 because am in India now. Bank charge me overdue charges can you please eliminate the overdue charges.

Myself RIJIL ARIPPA residing in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
With grieve concern, I'm writing to bring your kind attention that I had a Credit Card with a limit of AED 6000 with RAK Bank in 2007, which I have settled in full in the year 2010 (payment receipt available upon request).
I was in India during the settlement, and as per advise from a RAK Bank representative who was in contact with me that time, asked me to pay AED 6500 as a settlement to close the card (unfortunately I don't recall the representative name or there were no records of the settlement, as it was discussed verbally through phone).
I asked one my friend who was in UAE that time to pay AED 6500 to RAK bank under my credit card, which he did (payment receipt available upon request).
In 2014 i tried for a financial assistance from RAK Bank through my friend who works with RAK Bank, he took my application and updated my present contact details, and unfortunately my application got rejected as I came to know that I have "WRITE OFF" case with RAK Bank.
I tried many Banks for financial assistance, but all got rejected because of this "WRITE OFF" status with RAK Bank in AECB Report. I contacted the bank and informed that I have paid the card amount and have proof of payment, and after several requests, RAK Bank issued me "CLEARANCE LETTER" in 2015 (copy attached).
I have approached AECB for this issue and advised me that RAK Bank has to send them the correct report to reflect in AECB, where i requested RAK Bank again to clear the status, but unfortunately nothing was done (email conversation with RAK Bank available upon request).
At present, I applied for a Personal Loan from RAK Bank, which they rejected again because of the "WRITE OFF" status and asked me to pay again AED 6684 to clear the status (offer from RAK Bank), which is totally disappointing and unfair, and I believe that Banks are trying to utilize our helpless situation.
Please be informed that I am facing problems with all the Banks due to the status from RAK Bank.
In the view of above, I kindly request RAK Bank to look into this matter and correct my status in AECB report, in order for me to have good relationship with Banks / Financial Institutions in future.
Your kind consideration in this regard is highly required and shall be appreciated.

credit card settlement plan
I would like to raise a complaint against RAK Bank that I've completed and closed my credit card with them as per their approved installment plan for 6 months. I paid all 6 months installment amount without any delay and March 2019 was my last installment, and I confirmed with the bank that they closed my card already.
However, when I apply for financial service with another bank, I had been facing an issue with my AECB credit report that it is stating I have got 6 months default payments with RAK Bank; if I delay even a single installment how could I close the card? and I kept all receipts and statements of installments (6 months) with me. If they are not contacting or fixing this issue, I will file the case with central bank and will go with that.
This kind of in-professional and poor system with this bank will spoil all their customers, as I have been facing now. Any complaint handling person from RAK bank can contact me if they are taking care of customer complaints.

RAK Bank couldn't resolve this issue, I have been contacted by one of their Complaint Handling Agent and he is explaining me that it is as per RAK Bank policy, even they offer settlement plan to customers, however they will mark default payment in AECB report until it is clear, and importantly as per them it is Central Bank guidelines. then my question why is other bank (I am requesting a personal loan with another bank) can not be able to understand this, as per this bank it is not as per central bank since I paid all installments on time (I submitted my payment receipt) then how a bank could register my payment history as default with mentioning number of days delayed for payment. Are they making customers fools or they are working as per their own policy? I assume they are aware of their mistakes but didn't want to admit or take any effort to rectify this. But because of their in-professional attitudes I have been facing issues with all banks.

unauthorized credit card charges
I got the RKABANK credit card from an agent who committed me that there will be no charges ( of any types) on the card. Once I activated this card they levied me with credit shield and insurance without my consent.
Then I was in my home country from 1 March and I got a late payment fees on my card which I never used for even a single dhiram.
I complained customer care about this and they told me we will solve it in 5 days. In that 5 days I got another late payment fees on my card.
Then I again contacted customer care again they told me it will take 3-5 working days but my request got rejected.
Then i visited branch they also did not helped me at all.
Then I made a complaint again on customer care which again got rejected as the executive did not mentioned my statement date.
Today again i have made a complaint still they say it will take 3-5 working days.
I am really fed up with this.
Please help me on this.

Hi, I am in RAK Al qusais main branch last 2.5 hours, for my credit card cancelation process uptates. No one approaching me. & last 2 hours, No one in "may I help u" seat. Some counters r closed. I think in this branch there s 24 counters, but open counters is only 10. Some of counter staffs r sitting but, it's showing closed & they r not calling anyone.
I am really frustrated & I loose my whole day... I can't able to eat my lunch also..

Since 2018 March we are struggling to complete our TL update and profile change and it's now become more than a year. We haven't had this kind of worst experience with any of the bank so far! We were communicating with many customer service agents and channel multiple times and a matter that supposed to be completed in 45 days stretched to more than a year. We have now submitted our renewed TL for this year and it's been more than 5 weeks now. No clue on what's happening and no answer when dial the numbers we do have! We are now unnecessarily getting fined every month and that too approximately AED.260/-. If anybody can heads up and help us it would be really appreciable. reminder or notification for lapse of earned points
Dear Team,
I am holding RAK bank Titanium Master card and I was not aware of policy of redemption of earned point.
I am using this card since 2015 Sep and never made a request for convert earned points to cash back as I am not aware.
The concerned team never notified me that my points are getting lapsed, I never got any message through email or SMS about my earned points going to lapse.
Actually recently I came to know that earned points are equal to cash and the team will convert them to cash only on request.
Its weird that never RAK bank bothered to send any sort of related information about lapse of Earned points but I do always keep receive so many other notifications like Today INR rate, Balance transfer, Quick cash etc.
Now I called up the team to add utility services also to my credit card, then in our conversation I came to know about this benefit of redemption and lapse of points.
This month 420 earned points were lapsed which is equal to 420 AED, so this is really a kind of cheating the customers who are being loyal to the bank and expect a reminder from bank for such benefits which are earned by the customer and needs to be given to the customer. when they are not redeemed the customer has every right to be notified well in advance.
Request the team to look into it and do the needful.

rakbank agent agreed for a referral fee
I know a guy named Saichin, a rakbank loan agent from abu hail branch, who agreed with me to give a referral fee because I have had helped him acquire a qualified individual for a loan. I know this is not that big percentage for a referral fee but the thing is, this rakbank agent seems to be unprofessional to deal with, because after all the processes done and approved, he's really hard to contact and find now. it's disaapointing and disrespectful as a professional.
customer service - the worst among what I have experienced
I have a current account, a credit card and a large loan with Rak bank. The biggest problem with the banks customer service seems to be that, if you have a query and approach different customer service platforms, every platform gives you a different answer for the same query.
Apart from getting numerous answers to my questions, Rak bank also ended up providing me turn around times for requests, just for the sake of providing a turn around time. When you follow up, questioning the turn around time provided, the customer service agrees with you and says they have no idea, why it's taking longer and will just raise a complaint. The complaints team will get back to me. Now this is almost like another request to follow up on.
I have figured out from ADCB that they have cashed in on the opportunity to loot me with high interest rates, when I did my last top up and every attempt that I have made to have a face to face resolution conversation with any of the 5 branches that I have been to, has clearly indicated to me, the the interactions were just with a careless bank, which does nt really care about having a reliable and supportive customer service forum.
The irony is, Now I am trying get rid of everything I have with them and move to ADCB, and have requested for a liability letter at the dragon mart branch on the 19/03/19. I was told, I would get it in 7 working days. It's the 30th of March today. Follow up with customer service as usual says no idea and raised a complaint. SR4392537. The Complaints team tries playing tricks saying you should not count the day of the Application as the first working day and confirms having no idea about when I will receive my letter as well.
A definite no no choice as a bank is Rak bank, if you ask my opinion.

I am a rak bank customer on credit card. The problem which now I will sue rak bank and the collection company which are the sleeziest unethical people with ni respect anf never heard about respect. Tomorrow I will sue for them calling me everyday more than 15 times for a due credit card for 13 days not paid while every month I am paying with bit of delay. On top thry called my house in my home country amd threatened my family telling we will see what we will do to you. Plus exposed over phone financial data about me. For this reason the call is registered I will sue whomever involved in the threatening issue including rak bank. I will stop paying my card let the bank deposit the security check and we lll meet in court. This behaviour has never been recorded any where exept with these people. This incident happened friday 29th march 2019 the call registered at 17.10 from number 045593991 or 0. If rak bank team will not contact and resolve the materials including all damage done morally and threatening for my family plus restructuring of my card that now I will do and stop all kind of transactions with this bank. They will face starting this sunday a major case and I will go publically with every every media social or media possible to disclose the way they called and threatened and the way they are calling for a 10 days delay.

I was having a credit Card with RAK Bank and I closed it 1 month before when they closed it, they didnt told me that I have a Credit Balance in my Card for AED 76 if they would have told me I would have used it. I called their customer to inform how to get my credit balance and they told me that Bank will issue me the chq. for AED 76
I requested them in 1st week of March that I am leaving the country by end of March if they can please initiate the request urgently under Request # 284409MR And they promised me that the chq. will be issued and same can be collected from Ibn Batuta branch in next 4-5 working days and I will be notified by SMS. Since then I am keep on calling them more than 6-7 times until now I didnt receive my chq. and every time I call them they tells me that somebody will call me to assist me but until now my issue has not been resolved. Even I called Customer Service in morning they told me Chq. Is ready and I can go to Ibn Batuta branch to collect when I went at bank chq. Was not there

As 14 dec 2018 my card used by someone else without any OTP and happened 4 times with same card same day. I blocked it same time and registered a claim (ref: CCD40320 dated: 29/12/2018) through fax
The day I claimed till now no positive reply for my issue even though I called every week but same under process

I've made a payment of etisalat via rakbank credit card which eventually failed due to server error.
On confirming with etisalat - they have confirmed that the payment hasn't been received from rakbank in any form and on the date of bill generation - the transaction was shown as a debit charge
I have been continuously chasing rakbank team on mail and calls but no resolution yet.
Hoping to get a resolution via this platform.
