A Unique Perspective on Raw Story
As someone deeply engaged in the world of news and media, I must say that Raw Story provides a polarizing experience. While some appreciate its dedication to highlighting underreported news and bringing forth bold opinions, others find it to be an echo chamber of extreme left-leaning views. The comment section, often described as an 'echo chamber,' can be a challenging space for those with differing opinions. It seems that Raw Story's content can be divisive, with some praising its pro-US democracy stance, while others criticize it for sensationalism and bias. It's clear that Raw Story evokes strong reactions from its audience, making it a platform that you either love or strongly disagree with.
Rawstory's material is accurate, but upsetting to some readers
I notice that none of the negative reviews of this site claim that the stories it presents are inaccurate in any way.
In fact, I've found that just about every item Rawstory posts is accurate. Occasionally the language promoting a story is hyped a bit, but the material itself is always accurate.
I think the simplest explanation for the negative reviews of Rawstory is that those objecting, just do not like the facts these stories present.
I Like the Site, But
So, I like the site because it presents news that wouldn't otherwise get reported outside of local news sites/papers. However, what I do not like is that if you disagree with an article even slightly, you will get completely shredded in the comments. I don't think some of the individuals on the site, or those creating the articles, realize that their behavior towards all dissenting voices is exactly the same as behavior found on Alt-Right/deeply conservative sites.
It has ultimately made me limit my time on the site, which is sad because the website does provide some good information.

Amusing comments
Comments by RS haters here are amusing. The right wingers whine about how they visit to engage in "civil debate" (by calling posters "butt hurt libtards"), making idiotic comments like "Hillary lost... get over it" without offering anything intelligent and not telegraphed from Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or Breitbart. And then complaining about being censored and/or banned... try posting an even mildly positive comment about Obama or mildly critical comment about Trump on Daily Caller and see how long your post remains there. The biggest complaint I have about RS is the takeover of pop up ads and sometimes the comments section seems to be disabled. The RW whining about an "echo chamber" needs to toggle over to Fox News or NewsMax or the 50 RW blog sites (compared to the whopping 10 the progressives have) if they want an echo chamber.
Great source of real news!
Don't believe the Koolaid crowd reviews. They are truthers and fact deniers. This is a very good source of real news and smart commentary!
Commercials
Please stop with the interruption of videos updates with 2 or 3 commercials during the video clip. It makes me want to go to the other side HP. I love you site but cannot handle the voice commercial and now the video commercial taking over when I am watching a clip. Please stop
Great for what it is
There is no doubt that raw story is a left leaning media outlet, and for that reason, it should never be your sole source of news, but they have stories that you will not find elsewhere. And to be clear, they are real stories, not made up crap intended to fire up liberals, you can generally trust what they publish.
Perhaps this journal was not made for you and is therefore not interested in your trolling
Ifbyou paid attention to the renowned journalists, political critics and the like, who advocate and patronize this news source, you cannot deny it's integrity whether you agree with what it choosrsbto report on or not. If you dislike the content so much, redirect your attention to a publication you do like. Why do so many people feel their complaints deserve to be published? That they are intitled to have their negativity and whining published?
RawStory's Inflammatory Language Fuels Divisiveness
I gotta say, I keep seeing stories from this RawStory website on my Google page and it's getting kinda annoying. Like today, I see this story from Bob Brigham saying that the El Paso shooter was a "white supremacist." Like, who knows if that's even true? And why do they gotta use such inflammatory language? It just makes people feel more divided and hateful.
Honestly, I blame the media and the democrats for all the problems in this country. They just want to tear us apart and make us hate each other. Sure, America's not perfect, but it's still the best place in the world for equal opportunity and freedom. And it's not like people who want fair immigration laws are automatically racist or whatever. We can still appreciate diversity and culture without letting everyone just sneak in here without following the rules.
I mean, just look at other countries. If you tried to pull this kind of stuff in some other place, you'd be thrown in jail for sure. So why do we gotta put up with all these lies and hate speech from the media? It's time to stop the nonsense and start working together towards real solutions.
RawStory's Questionable Behavior: Removing Comments and Sneaky Support Tactics
This website is questionable because they have been reported to remove comments with high upvotes by flagging them as spam, even when the thoughts expressed were simply differing opinions. Users such as Hans Meyer, Cathy, Mike Stevens, RS, Bishop, and more have been targeted by this behavior. It seems like RawStory doesn't want to hear opposing viewpoints and will go to great lengths to silence them. It's a shame that the platform doesn't promote healthy discussions.
Furthermore, RawStory has been known to use a trick when attempting to contact their support team. When clicking on the "commenting issues" button, the email address provided is incorrect as it omits the letter "r" between the letters "t" and "o" in the email address. This results in users' messages bouncing back as undeliverable, causing them to give up altogether. It's sneaky and frustrating, and it's definitely not how a reputable website would go about customer support.
There needs to be more transparency and accountability on RawStory's part, as they seem to be prioritizing their own agenda over a fair exchange of ideas and interactions with their audience. It's disappointing to see this kind of conduct from a website that claims to be an impartial source of news and commentary. Perhaps they could benefit from a more open attitude towards criticism and a more user-friendly approach to customer support. Until then, it's hard to recommend RawStory as a reliable source of information.
Raw Story Review: Stay Informed, But Beware Clickbait Headlines and Toxic Comment Section
I go to Raw Story on a regular basis because I like to keep up with the news. However, there are some issues that I have with the site. Firstly, there are a lot of headlines that are just over-the-top and not really supported by the story that follows. It can be a little bit frustrating when you're trying to get informed and you feel like the writers are just trying to get clicks instead of providing you with actual information.
Another thing that really has been a problem for me is the comment section. I naively thought that I would be able to express my opinions freely, but boy was I wrong! I recently pointed out an error in someone else's comment and was attacked viciously by another commenter. I don't know why they felt the need to be so aggressive, but it really turned me off from participating in the discussions. I've also noticed that if you express any support for spirituality, you are likely to get attacked as well. It's sad to see that progressives can be just as intolerant as right-wing zealots.
All in all, I would recommend Raw Story as a source of news, but I would encourage readers to be cautious. Don't just blindly believe everything you read on the site without doing your own research. Also, be prepared for a potentially toxic comment section if you choose to engage with other readers. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide how much weight you want to give to the information presented on Raw Story.
Raw Story: Terrible Journalism and a Greedy Paywall
if Raw Story is terrible in both aspects.
Raw Story seems to have a knack for publishing clickbait articles. They're always after that juicy headline, even if it means sacrificing the accuracy and quality of their content. Frankly, most of their articles can be found elsewhere and are just plagiarized from other websites like salon.com. It's a shame that they refuse to employ editors, as this leads to poor grammar, spelling errors, and excessive hyperbole in their writing.
What's even more egregious is that Raw Story now expects readers to pay for a subscription. With such subpar journalism, it's an insult to major news corporations that actually know how to do their job correctly. Such a paywall just seems like another way for Raw Story to be greedy and take advantage of their readership.
However, there is a slight silver lining. It's actually quite easy to get around the paywall. As soon as the site loads, click on any article as fast as possible. It takes a few seconds for the paywall to kick in, so once you've clicked on that first article, you can then navigate to the header at the top of the page and click on any of the categories. This lets you freely read all of Raw Story's articles without having to pay a dime.
Still, it's hard to ignore the fact that Raw Story's articles are pretty darn stupid at times. But then again, maybe that's not so surprising given the greed and stupidity that tend to go hand-in-hand. Overall, if you're looking for quality journalism, Raw Story is not the place to find it.
RawStory Review: False Claims of Free Speech, Discrimination Against Contrasting Views
RawStory is a website that claims to be a platform for free speech, but my experience suggests otherwise. I visited the website recently and found myself in an interesting conversation with some other members that led to a disagreement on a topic. It was then that things got weird.
One of the moderators took action and threatened me and my fellow conversationalist, calling us "trolls" for expressing our opinion. That was not all, as I tried to respond politely indicating that if I were a moderator, I would not act the same way. However, it turned out that I was not allowed to post any further comments on the thread.
What is happening to free speech here? Why can we not express our opinions without the threat of being silenced and labeled trolls? The worst part was when I tried to email someone from the website about the unprofessional behavior of their moderator. Instead of resolving the matter, my email was met with the most unprofessional response I have ever received. They started by saying, "I notice that on liberal websites..." as if that had anything to do with the issue, and went on to read things not mentioned in my email, claiming to know the "whole" story. I mean, I had sent them screenshots of both posts I made, which was only two. What more was there to know?
It was clear to me that I was being discriminated against, and it is not the way any website should run. I felt unheard and mistreated. What happened to the idea of offering a platform for everyone? Instead, Raw Story seems to want to control what kind of opinions are expressed on its platform. Apparently, expressing a contrasting view is not permitted, and I got myself banned, all because of merely two posts.
The entire experience was unpleasant, and it is a clear indication that the people who run Raw Story are unwilling to accept any opposing views. A website that claims to foster free speech should be open to any and all opinions, even those they may not agree with. RawStory can't be trusted to do that, and it's a pity because I had hoped for a better experience. I would not recommend this website to anyone who wants their voice to be heard, unless you want to be silenced.
Raw Story Review: One-Sided Views and Limited Debate on Controversial Issues
Raw Story is a site that has articles on controversial issues that may pop up on your Face Book feed. They seem to cater to a specific side of a debate and if you read the comment section, you will notice that the comments are one-sided as well. They only allow comments that support their views and this is clearly seen in their article on H. K. Edgerton. He is a black man who is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, which requires proof of ancestral heritage to a Confederate soldier. This may come as a surprise to some who have been taught differently in school. However, H'K' explains The War Between the States from his black Confederate perspective and this was met with insulting and degrading comments from the readers of Raw Story. It is clear that Raw Story is a Left wing site with an agenda that does not leave room for debate or opposing views. The comment section is generated by Disqus and they tend to bar users like myself who post comments that may not align with their views. If you think of Raw Story in magazine form, it would be a useful tool if there were still out houses around. However, its one-sided views do not contribute to meaningful discourse or education on important issues.
Unethical Practices: RawStory Steals Articles without Permission and Requires Users to Give Up Privacy
So, I stumbled upon RawStory a few months ago, excited to find a new source of information. However, I quickly noticed something odd. They were posting partial articles lifted from other websites without the permission of the original publisher! I was incensed. As a journalist myself, I know how important it is to get permission before printing someone else's work.
So, I decided to contact RawStory and ask them about their practices. A woman named Roxanne responded, telling me that they have permission to reprint snippets of wire stories through a service called Nordot. She explained that the reason they include a "Read more" link at the end of the article is so that the original publisher gets paid when you click on it.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I had never noticed the "Read more" link before, but when I turned off my ad-blocker, there it was. To read the entirety of just one article, Nordot forces users to turn off ALL ad-block software AND also allows 33 different trackers to follow you around the internet!
In other words, if you want to read one of RawStory's partial articles, you must not only give up your right to privacy but also consent to all the invasive pop-up and pop-over ads from the original website. These sites are often small, unknown, and potentially shady sources that you would never allow to put trackers on your computer.
What I find especially frustrating is that RawStory takes news from other sources, turns the title into click-bait, and then re-posts partial articles with a very invasive link. This way, they don't have to pay a single penny for the stories they steal. Nordot says that partial articles with this shady "Read more" link are free to other websites, but there is also an option to purchase the full article. RawStory apparently thinks it's better to force their users to give up their privacy to whatever website they happened to lift an article from.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed in RawStory and their unethical practices. As someone who values journalism, it's frustrating to see a website that doesn't care about getting permission or paying for what they use. If you're looking for a reliable news source, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Mixed Feelings About Rawstory: Great Content, But Unethical Billing Practices
I have mixed feelings about Rawstory. On one hand, their content is pretty good and I appreciate that they lean to the left. But on the other hand, their billing situation has been a nightmare for me. I was a subscriber for a few months and noticed that I was still getting ads even though I was supposed to have an ad-free experience. It took me two whole months to finally get someone from customer support to respond to me. Even then, their suggestions didn't solve the problem. Instead, I was being billed twice a month.
So I emailed and emailed, hoping for a response. Eventually, someone got back to me and I requested a refund of all the months I had been double billed, starting from August. Unfortunately, they refused to refund me and I also couldn't get anyone to cancel my subscription. It wasn't until last week when a new customer service representative responded to me. She refused to escalate my issue to someone with more authority and only cancelled my subscription without giving me any refund at all.
For a company that supposedly stands for justice, it's pretty unethical that they treat their own customers this way. They basically stole my money during a pandemic when I'm a single mom with a special needs child to take care of. I know I can't sue them for this, but I can definitely share my story with others so they know what to expect.
Overall, while I appreciate the content on Rawstory, I cannot give them a higher rating because of their unethical practices in their billing department.
Review: Raw Story - A Platform for Progressive News and Thought-Provoking Essays
Raw Story, also known as RAWSTORY, is a website that covers progressive news and events. They are known for their quick reporting of breaking news stories and for providing summaries and links to the original articles. They cover subscription-based websites such as The New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal, making it convenient for their readers to access information that would otherwise require payment.
As you navigate their website, you will find trending stories on the left side of the page, a selection of significant news stories in the center, and breaking news on the right. They also cross-publish articles from Salon, which is free to read but does not include a comments section. Raw Story, on the other hand, has a Disqus comment section that allows users to express their thoughts with bold and italics formatting, post illustrations, and join in on debates.
Raw Story recently expanded their team by hiring staff reporters to cover Capitol Hill and interview political figures. They have also added new columnists such as David Edwards, Travis Getty, Sarah Burris, and Tom Boggioni, who write thought-provoking essays that spark conversations.
In addition to their free content, Raw Story + Exclusives offers subscription-based content, including Raw Story Investigates, for $49 a year or $79 annually for an ad-free version.
It's evident that Raw Story strives to be an inclusive platform that encourages debate, discussion, and sharing of information. Whether you're interested in domestic or international affairs, politics, or social issues, Raw Story provides a fresh take on events and news stories that are often overlooked by mainstream media outlets.
Their reporting goes beyond surface-level details, seeking to inform readers and encourage critical thinking. Despite the occasional spelling or grammar mistake, it's clear that their writers are passionate about their work and are dedicated to providing accurate and thought-provoking content.
In a world where it's increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, Raw Story is a reliable news source that manages to cover important information in a way that remains accessible and engaging. If you're looking for a progressive platform that encourages discussion and debate, Raw Story is definitely worth checking out.
Review of RawStory: Selective Enforcement of TOS & Impunity of Regulars
RawStory is a website that claims it is possible to receive an explanation on what could account for being banned. However, my experience has been that despite sending inquiries twice in October, I never received the courtesy of an explanation. As someone who has worked in journalism, it was quite surprising to find myself banned without any apparent reason or violation.
When it comes to my political views, I consider myself to be a political agnostic, as I'm not heavily partisan. My posts could go into more detail than others care to read, but I do not abuse the comments section of any website. However, I've noticed that some of the regulars on RawStory tend to troll newcomers and bait them into defending themselves. This allows them to run off anyone they do not like, which is a clear violation of the website's TOS.
It's interesting to see RawStory's TOS state, "A good rule of thumb is that if you are writing it to piss someone off, stop." However, their own writers and editors do not pull any punches and it's nearly impossible to be "hard-hitting" and "nice". Furthermore, the website's mod impunity can often be seen in the way the regulars are permitted to put their combative style on full display for all to see.
In hindsight, it appears that some of the regulars intentionally troll newcomers into defending themselves, which violates the website's TOS. RawStory clearly states that if someone insults you first, you should stop and flag their comment for a moderator and/or email ***@rawstory.com instead of replying with another insult. However, some of the regulars seem to enjoy the special treatment they receive from the mods and are therefore able to continuously insult other users without any consequences.
I'm not alone in this experience, as there are many reports of others who have been banned from RawStory for less-than-clear reasons. Therefore, I suggest that anyone who has been banned without any obvious TOS violation should take to Twitter using the hashtag #RawStoryBanned. With any luck, the hashtag will send a message to management that the selective enforcement of their TOS is bad for business.
RawStory Complaints 12
I subscribed to Raw Story about 5 weeks ago
I subscribed to Raw Story about 5 weeks ago. The next day I entered the site and saw as much advertising, blocks and clutter as before I paid for a month. I tried to cancel the account. There is absolutely nowhere on the site to cancel. I used the only email address I saw. I didn't get a response to the email request and see that my bank account shows payment. I want them to stop charging me. Diane T ***@***.com Fri, Jun 5, 4:09 PM to roxanne I just gave bank information for a subscription want to cancel. These interruptions are annoying and there is too much junk showing on the page, as well as solicitation for more money. I want to cancel immediately. I don't want an explanation. ***@***.com

RawStory's Paywall and The Demise of Its Comment Section: A Review
RawStory, previously a free blog, left an impression of unoriginality since a majority of its articles were mere reproductions from other sources. Nevertheless, its glowing attribute was its comment section that enabled a platform for a wide audience to share their views and opinions. However, that changed on September 15th when Raw Story implemented a paywall or the option to remove ad blockers as a prerequisite to access their content.
As someone who removed the ad blocker, I immediately noticed that the comment section was no longer functional. Despite numerous attempts to comment on various articles, it repeatedly failed to connect with the Disquis platform. Consequently, I had to go through the hassle of signing in to Disquis to post a comment.
It's sad to say that RawStory's newfound greed has completely destroyed their site. The monthly fee charged by RawStory is exorbitant, especially when compared to more informative sites, such as the Washington Post or the New York Times. Furthermore, it is disheartening to witness how RawStory's change in focus from offering an open forum for opinions to a revenue-driven model has resulted in the alienation of its readership.
In conclusion, RawStory's recent transformation from a free blog to a paid one has greatly diminished its worth. The removal of their comment section, in addition to their costly monthly fees, has caused a significant decline in their readership. If one desires to have better-quality news and a more interactive experience, it would be better to search for alternative websites.

RawStory: A Leftist Site Worth Skipping - A Review
I came across RawStory (rawstory.com) and initially thought it might be worth a look. But boy, was I wrong! The site is filled with mindless, childish rants about far-left ideology that's just impossible to read. Their journalism is like a zombie - it's dead, and yet it's still here.
It wouldn't matter so much if they didn't take themselves seriously, but they do. They think they are actually producing viable news! To be honest, it's easier to believe in lizard people from the 12th dimension than to believe what they are saying. It's a waste of keystrokes, to be honest.
Don't even get me started on the comment section. It's like a dark abyss of people cheering on violence. It's seriously disturbing, and I've never seen anything like it before. I honestly believe that there's a Russian troll behind every contrary post!
It's not even worth wasting your time on this site. Life is just too short for this garbage. I recommend looking elsewhere for reliable news and information because RawStory is definitely not it. Save your effort and pass this one by. Eesh.
Restrictive comment section makes RawStory useless for diverse discussions
RawStory is a website that caters to the left side of the political spectrum. I have stumbled upon other websites that are more left-leaning than them. However, I must point out that there's one thing about this site that bothers me - the comment section.
In my experience, I have found that expressing any counterargument in the RawStory comment section will not be received kindly. The website seems to limit its user engagement to only views that align with its ideologies. If there is a disagreement, it will not be tolerated and you might even be banned. This is the only website where I have faced a ban.
It appears that RawStory is threatened by any sentiment that challenges their leftist viewpoints. They don't seem to appreciate a healthy debate where individuals can express ideas and opinions that contradict their ideologies. I recall a user warning me that I might be banned if I continued with my different perspective. To my dismay, I was banned shortly after the conversation.
In conclusion, I find RawStory to be useless if there's no room for intelligent discussion among readers with a diverse set of views. It's a shame that the website's comment section is restrictive and biased.
Mixed Experience with RawStory: Left-Leaning News Site with Limited Tolerance for Differing Opinions
I have had a bit of an interesting experience with RawStory. At first, I was really excited to find a left-leaning news site that I could rely on for up-to-date information. However, I quickly discovered that my opinions weren't always welcome on the site.
Recently, I made a case for Bernie 2020 and argued that Democrats are setting themselves up to lose the Presidency in 2020 with their same ol' Centrist candidates who lack political charisma and national appeal. As you can imagine, this didn't go over well with some of the other users on the site. Even worse, I was hit with some pretty nasty ad hominem attacks, which made me feel attacked and upset.
But what really surprised me was that I was actually banned from the site! This seems strange, given that I was the one being attacked. It makes me wonder if RawStory is actually a left-leaning news site, or if it's really just a support group for Centrists who don't want to deal with differing opinions.
Despite my bad experience, I will say that RawStory does have some good content. However, I have noticed that there are quite a few typos and sloppy cut-and-paste jobs that have been making their way onto the site lately. This makes it hard to trust everything I read on the site.
Overall, I would say that RawStory is a decent news source, but it may not be the best place to go if you're looking for a free and open exchange of ideas. If you're on the same page with the site's general political leanings, you'll probably be fine. Otherwise, you may be in for a rough ride.
Review: Raw Story - Clickbait, Ads, and Suspicious Redirects
Raw Story is a highly controversial and mostly political website that has risen to prominence in recent years. Unfortunately, the site's reputation for sensationalism and clickbait has led to a significant amount of backlash and criticism from a growing number of readers.
One of the most common complaints about Raw Story is the sheer number of ads that appear throughout the site. These ads are often intrusive, frequently blocking parts of the articles and making it difficult to read the content. Some even cover other ads, leading to a confusing and frustrating user experience.
However, the problems with Raw Story don't end there. Many users have reported that the site is now redirecting their browsers to Yahoo and other suspicious sites. Although security and antivirus programs have failed to detect any problems with their computers, users are convinced that something fishy is going on with Raw Story's website.
Despite these issues, Raw Story continues to produce a significant amount of content each day, covering a wide range of topics from politics and world news to entertainment and lifestyle stories. However, for many readers, the site's reputation for shady practices and clickbait means that they won't be returning anytime soon.
If you do decide to visit Raw Story, be aware that you may be redirected to suspicious sites like yourmetshop.com. While we can't confirm if these sites are safe or not, it's always best to err on the side of caution and avoid clicking on any links that seem suspicious.
Overall, Raw Story is a website that is likely to polarize readers. Some will appreciate the site's unapologetically left-leaning perspective and willingness to tackle controversial topics, while others will be put off by the aggressive ad campaigns and shady practices. Ultimately, it's up to each reader to decide whether or not they want to engage with Raw Story's content.
Censorship on RawStory: A Disappointing Experience
I stumbled upon RawStory while researching news about a certain gentleman by the name of Zimmerman. As I read through the thread, I couldn't help but notice a whole lot of negative comments regarding Zimmerman. Many people seemed to think that he got away with murder and that he deserved to be punished for his crime. Being the curious person that I am, I decided to add my own two cents in the comments section.
I posted a couple of comments, expressing my own opinion. But, before I knew it, I was suddenly attacked by some of the other commenters! It was like a feeding frenzy on a ripe piece of meat. It didn't matter that I hadn't said anything vulgar or insulting. It was just because I had dared to suggest a different point of view, that I was their newest victim.
Things went from bad to worse when the moderator suddenly deleted all my comments and banned me from the site! It's not fair that I couldn't even have a friendly debate with other people. Isn't that what comment sections are for? I guess not, according to RawStory.
It seems like everyone on the site agrees with each other and if you dare to be different, you're out of luck. What a waste! RawStory should let people have a say and speak their minds, especially since it advertises itself as a platform for the progressive community.
Overall, my experience with RawStory was a huge disappointment. What's the point of having an open discussion if there's no room for debate or counterpoints? The bottom line is that RawStory is really stupid and they need to let people have their say, without banning them for not sharing the same opinion.
Raw Story Review: Unfair Banning & Promotion of Anti-Trump Hatred
RawStory is a website that has its own fan base, but not everyone is satisfied with their content. I, for one, have been banned from the site five times already, and I don't think the reasons given were fair. I was simply stating facts and voicing my opinions, but it seemed like Raw Story didn't appreciate them. I didn't use vulgar language or threaten anyone, and I didn't go against their terms of service.
I have noticed that many users on Raw Story are not punished for violating the terms, especially when they attack me. It is really unfair. Some people on the site say horrible things about President Trump, and this should not be allowed. I also think that some of these people should be investigated for what they say on the site.
One thing that really bothers me is that Raw Story does not give me a reason for the ban. This has happened five times already. I even sent an email asking why, as they require in their terms of service, but I didn't get a response. This makes me think that Raw Story is not interested in creating a fair community, but rather in promoting their own views.
In my opinion, Raw Story is dangerous. It is a breeding ground for anti-Trump haters who want to see violence brought to him and his supporters. This mindset is really scary, and I think Raw Story is partly responsible for promoting it.
Overall, I would not recommend Raw Story if you are looking for a neutral and friendly space to discuss politics. The site seems to have its own agenda, and it doesn't tolerate any views that oppose it. I hope Raw Story will change its ways and start promoting fair discussion and unbiased reporting.
RawStory: A Site That Silences Free Speech
Well, let me tell you about this website called RawStory. Some people had some problems with it, and I can understand why. I myself made some comments where I used some colorful language, and some other people did the same back. But then, RawStory went and deleted ALL OUR COMMENTS! Even the ones where we were just calmly explaining our points of view without cussing. It's not like we were being racist or anything, we were just trying to engage in some healthy debate.
I gotta say, that really got my blood boiling. I mean, what kind of site deletes comments from their users like that? It's just plain wrong. And I'm not the only one who feels this way. A lot of people have had similar experiences with RawStory, and we're all pretty fed up with it. We're not gonna stand for this kind of censorship, no sirree. We're gonna take action.
So, if you're thinking about checking out RawStory, let me give you a bit of advice: you might wanna think twice. This site is clearly not interested in open discussion or free speech. They just wanna silence anyone who doesn't agree with them. And I don't know about you, but that's not the kind of site I wanna support.
In conclusion, RawStory is a garbage site. They don't respect their users, they don't respect free speech, and they don't deserve your time or attention. I, for one, am gonna do everything in my power to make sure people know about their shady practices. And if you're smart, you'll stay far, far away.
RawStory and the Paywall Problem: A Frustrated Reader's Review
I gotta say, RawStory is a site I visit on the regular, but lately it's been a bit of a bummer because I keep getting blocked by paywalls on the sites they link to. It's a real bummer because I really like to get the full story and understand the context of what's being said.
The thing about RawStory is that it's hella liberal, but that's cool with me because I lean that way too. However, I don't just want to read their take on things because as we all know, everyone has their own opinions and biases. That's why I like to see the original article for myself and make up my own mind.
But sometimes I can't even do that because the paywalls be comin' at me like crazy. I just want to be able to read everything and get a more well-rounded understanding of the issue at hand. It's not just RawStory though, I've noticed this happening with a lot of different sources lately.
I guess it's up to us to find ways to access the free versions of these articles and get the neutral interpretations we want. It's just a shame that it's becoming more and more difficult to do so. But hey, we'll find a way!
RawStory: A Site with Biased Moderation and Censorship Policies
RawStory is a website that has a tendency to disregard opinions that do not fit into their specific narrative. If you attempt to voice an opinion that opposes the norm on their site, you will find that your comments tend to disappear. They even have a track record of banning people, all without providing the person with any explanation of why it happened.
It appears that they often have moderators who will join in on certain threads that have the potential to spark heated debates. This seems to be done in an effort to steer the conversation in a particular direction and to silence anyone that might have a dissenting opinion.
If you happen to be someone who shares RawStory's view of the world and watches MSNBC religiously, then you will likely enjoy perusing their website. However, I would caution against investing too much of your time there. Their rules are somewhat ambiguous and their enforcing guidelines tend to be rather haphazard. So, if you happen to have any doubts about what you're seeing or reading there, you might want to explore other options.
