My current subscription to IOLO system defense ran out
My current subscription to IOLO system defense ran out. In trying to renew, NO online process is available and was directed to call in. The call center is a scam processing center in Mumbai India where the only product available was a 3 year contract at 347 per year. Thats a far cry from the 37 dollar 1 year product I was trying to buy. I have had this product on my computer for over 3 years and was happy with it but if this is the direction the company has taken it they will run it into the ground . I WILL NOT RESUBSCRIBE to this service and advise others not to as well. In installation It removes the windows security that cannot be reacquired. You have to add in an aftermarket security.

The Technician that worked with me was excellent, His knowledge, and understanding the problem and concern was more than satisfactory, He was easy to understand, Excellent English speaking and provided above average technician know how. He was quick to understand my concerns, and was able to correct and provide a solution. I am retired from AT&T, I was employed for 34 Years, and served as Human Relation Manager, If this Technician was presented to me for a position, his value was one of true concern, I would have hired him as I believe he would have advanced with in the company. I would hope that you management would see the values of this Technician, and use his qualities to train others and help them become the asset that he presents himself to be.

I bought this software because I had to re-download my windows package and everything else on my windows 10 system due to serious file corruption. Everything on the computer was mixed up, it was a mess. I bought one program first & returned it quickly for not doing a thing to correct my computer problems. Next I bought & used The Obit System Mechanic, and it was miraculous! It straightened out the entire system on my computer. It corrected the file structure, removed the garbage, organized the files, replaced missing hardware, it just took care of everything! I was blown away at how great it worked. From then on I was a believer in System Mechanic! Now, this program has become part of my "yearly buys" for computer software to keep my system running smoothly.
I'm 81 yrs old and I get real nervous when my PC starts acting up. Josh took control and fixed all my whatevers and set my mind at ease. He also advised me to consider buying a new unit and when - as this one was getting "Rather long in the teeth" - My words not his . I'm thankful for his advice.
Solution was quick and professional. I'm very happy with this service
I'm am very satisfied with the tech service I received. I would recommend them to everyone. They are very knowledgeable regarding the workings of computers.
I have had this service for years. they are great. it is getting expensive but so far I can effort it.
I worked with two USTechSupport technicians today to install software on my new laptop
I worked with two USTechSupport technicians today to install software on my new laptop. The first installed System Mechanic which is my security and optimization software. I have been a subscriber for a couple years and it has worked well. The technician was excellent, but expect to hear a sales pitch for upgrades, renewals, and other products. No problem, that's how they make a living:-). I renewed my tech support for another year. She put in a referral to a higher-level technician to call me to install Elephant Drive, my cloud backup system. This lady was very efficient in installing and setting it to backup continuously. She took the time to explain how to add any new files that I might need backed up later. She did not try to sell me anything! All good experiences.
My PC was having freezing-up issues and I needed help in resolving those issues. My first contact was with Evian Samosa and he said he found a program that was causing my issues and removed it. The next day, I still had issues with my PC freezing up and called the 1-801 number. Michael was the name of the last technician and he went thru my PC with a fine tooth comb and it seems that he was able to finally get my PC to working normally again. My thanks go out to Michael and Evian.
My US Tech Support was excellent and great to work with.
Although it's expensive is also a great product! After paying 200 dolars for this package I found I could have gotten it FREE through my internet provider ...AND I STILL KEPT IT!...its that goood
These guys are GREAT! and I would recommend them very highly!

I had issues trying to upgrade from System Mechanic Pro to Ultimate Defense which the usual technician could not resolve. I was then passed *** to Tech Support who spent the best part of 2+ hours having taken control of my computer, to try and resolve the issues preventing a download. It was apparent from the numerous changes that she made that it was a complex issue stopping the download, but she never gave up and finally resolved the issues.
It is good to know that having paid out for a product that the company has a good level of backup via Tech Support to assist a customer. Whilst there may be other products out there, I wonder whether they can provide the same level of service when things go wrong.
So for me I am happy to recommend this company based on the service I received.

I have used System Mechanic since it was installed by Dell on my first computer in the mid 90's - I have insisted on it be on all replacement machines made by Dell. I use System Mechanic (the original) daily and when the hard drive on my current machine when and had to be replaced by a solid-sate hard drive everything was lost and could not be loaded from the old hard drive to the new hard drive. Many of the applications that were lost I determined were not really necessary but what was necessary was System Mechanic. I called IOLO (the owners/support for System Mechanic) and had them install in on my new solid-state hard drive. To me System Mechanic is one application I can not do without and highly recommend it to all computer users - System Mechanic is a great tool for computer maintenance.

I have used System Mechanic and Tech support for the last 6 years, and it seems like that since IIolo sold out to this company that the service has changed and not for the better. The customer service reps. need to take a course in speaking English and how to talk on the phone so you can understand them. You should be able to get to a service rep without having to listen to a sales pitch for 10 min about something you don't want to start with, offer it and move on if not wanted. If a Tech Support rep is not available in a reasonable time arrange for a call back, don't leave me hanging on the phone for 30 min. and then get the call dropped, so you can start over. You used to talk with a tech live about you problem on the remote session now it seems that it has to be done through a chat room which sucks.

This company offers a $31.96 renewal fee, with some coupon code iolo20 but when you press the buy button, the new page shows an amount for $40.78. No explanations for the increase, not even tax amounts add up. Its a rip off...small amount but I am sure it will add up for the company. Just once it would be nice to deal with an honest American company not trying to boots its EBITDA numbers. I would not recommend doing business with this company. Goto a competitor whose dealings are honest.

We had a 1 year contract with this company, doing business under the name of U.S. Tech Support, in order to have help with spam and other issues with our laptop. About the beginning of May 2022, we contacted them and told them to cancel our contract and that we did NOT want to renew. Today, we received another invoice for their services indicating that WE had initiated the order for their services on a monthly basis. THIS IS NOT TRUE! I called U.S. Tech Support and asked if this was a scam email or from them only to find out that our contract was NOT canceled last month as I was told it was. Hopefully it was canceled today as I did receive an email to that affect. We have used the IOLA System Mechanic for several years with no issues but this branch of IOLA seems to be less trustworthy - which is the opposite of what one expects from a software protection service!

Terrible experience, I was sold a Business product that is still on the website that did not work, when I talked to support because the software would not activate, I was informed that product, System Mechanic Business, is no longer updated so he could not get it to work. I was purchasing for a small business so naturally, I went with the product for business. I then requested a refund since this was not going to work I called in and they said they canceled it and I was going to get a refund, I received an email with the cancelation but no refund, 15 days later I had to call back because I did not see the refund, they then finally processed it but did not refund the full amount, they kept the sales tax. I had to call back again so that I could get a full refund. Terrible experience, very bad practice to sell an old outdated software and to keep part of your money.
It appears that when you purchase software I
It appears that when you purchase software I.E. system mechanic, you are also obligating yourself to auto renewal of tech support that is initially included at zero cost. I received an email two days before being charged for tech support and it indicated that I had a zero balance, so I didn't pay much attention. The following day I received a message from PayPal that IOLO / RealDefense LLC had charged me for tech support, so I looked into how this happens. I have spent hours trying to contact IOLO to get a better understanding of what this charge for or when I obligated myself. I find it very amusing that while you wait for a customer service agent the recording speaks to being aware of fraudulent tech support companies' I believe they should include themselves in that group. Do your research as both IOLO and RealDefence LLC are not solid companies and fall into the deceptive and buyer be aware classification. I do not expect to get any resolution from these shyster's, and I am glad that i used PayPal initially.
Two things
Two things. I recently purchased a piece of software from Iolo, ( a one-time charge), and since then, I've been getting these incessant pop-up messages covering a quarter of my computer screen requesting that I purchase a repeating technical support service for $20 a month. As the pop-up message is very disruptive and difficult to get rid of, I emailed them to ask him how to stop it, as there was no check box to do so. They have not responded. Today, I woke up to a notification from my bank saying I had been charged $20 by iolo. I also had received an email from them thanking me for the order which I never made. I called the number on that email and was put on hold music for 25 minutes, after which it went silent and the call was disconnected. I have emailed them twice this morning about this, but I believe it to be intentional and not an accident. In the second email, I told him I was furious and would be contacting you. I will give them a chance to refund the $20, but if they don't do so quickly, I will be filing a complaint.

Rarely do I need tech support because I handle all of my needs myself these days but when I have an issue with System Mechanic Ultimate Defense
Rarely do I need tech support because I handle all of my needs myself these days but when I have an issue with System Mechanic Ultimate Defense I like their tech guys get it resolved and the issue is never the software itself. My only issue with tech support is when they try to sell you MyCleanID subscription instead of resolving the problem you contacted them about to begin with. I had a gentleman from tech support connect remotely to my computer today and he abruptly disconnected after telling him I was not interested. I contacted tech support again. This time they apologized immediately, informed me that I already had a subscription to MyCleanID (Which I either forgot about or thought was inactive) and repaired the issue i orginally contacted about. I do believe some of the so called IT Technicians should be transferred to the sales department or trained on how to serve the customers in an honest and sincere manner. iolo still gets my love and business over all the other companies and they have been found way more trustworthy time and time again. Thank you iolo
I have been a loyal System Mechanic Ultimate user since 2007
I have been a loyal System Mechanic Ultimate user since 2007. I usually add time to my subscription when a pop up appears on my computer at a discount rate. I did that again this Nov. 2022. The popup says nothing about 1 month free tech service support followed by monthly billing of $21.40. In addition IOLO we no longer allow me to sign on using my account and download the program to a new computer. Even though my subscription was paid through 2025 it said my program had been disabled. You must contact a customer svc. rep and give them remote access to your computer to download the software which I don't like to do especially with foreign support techs. While they are downloading the program to your computer and enabling it they will spend that time trying to sell additional privacy protection at $320. This has all happened recently since RealDefense LLC name started popping up. It appears as if this company has become a very unscrupulous company in the way they operate. Please take heed and look at the way they operate carefully before making a decision. They are not the same company I worked with since 2007!
The service I received today was absolutely perfect
The service I received today was absolutely perfect. Jon was extremely knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He solved my networking problems to the extend Microsoft allows to do. I am very satisfied, but I would like bring to the attention of Iolo potential customers, who would like to buy the full computer service that there are some shadows in this perfect picture I have painted. There are two types of services provided by the company. The first one is related to keeping a computer safe from viruses and any type of malicious software. This part of service is free (obviously one must pay for the antivirus software) and very good. I did not say excellent, because very often the services is provided by technicians, who do not speak good English. Fortunately, the initial interview is run by a admin, who speaks good English and establishes phone communication and communication between computers. After a while a technician calls, takes over the computer and half an hour later the computer works like a Swiss watch.
The second service is paid and is meant to solve all problems a computer may develop. Please be aware that the vast majority of technicians are very well trained in cleaning computers from malicious software. They have, however, no basic knowledge of the computers. Maybe they can solve some minor issues, but I know computers pretty well and I solve most issues by myself. If I decide to call Iolo it means that the issue is quite serious. Almost always technicians are helpless. It takes two or more calls and a lot of perseverance in demanding of a better service and acceleration to the second, or even, better, the third layer of tech support. In most cases this is the only way to get such excellent support as I received today. As you can see there are some problems with Iolo tech support, but not severe enough to prompt me to drop the service. Despite all these issues I would recommend the full computer support to others.
This is a scamming company, strangely acclaimed by their software in PCMag
This is a scamming company, strangely acclaimed by their software in PCMag. I did purchase a software from this Iolo company (System Mechanic). Something happened afterwards that the software stopped working, as the it became non-valid, despite I had gone through the validation process before. The validation key they have sent me stopped working as I tried to validate it again. I have opened a ticket with them about the issue and they replied to me with a FAQ copy paste text. I consulted their refund policy (https://www.iolo.com/company/legal/sales-policy/) which is illegal in its point "4.1 Refunds of iolo Software", because such limitations were not advertised on the purchasing process, what is forbidden by EU GDPR, given that 2checkout.com (their business for checkout overseas) contact is in the Netherlands, a country part of the EU. Point "4.1 Refunds of iolo Software" of their sales policy says, and I quote, "iolo must receive a request for a refund with an explanation of dissatisfaction by telephone or email, within 30 days of the purchase date (or within the time indicated on your packaging, if different). Proof of purchase date, purchase price, sales receipt and/or license key information must be verified by iolo to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will only be made for the original purchase price, less a 15% processing fee, less any discounts that were applied at the time or purchase or after purchase. iolo will not refund any taxes, shipping, handling, processing, customs fees or any other charges, fees or expenses incurred in connection with the original purchase or subsequent refund request and related correspondence." So, be aware: Iolo is clearly a scamming company, address in the US, checkout in the Netherlands. I have already file with PayPal, which I used to pay for the software, and I will file with the European Union (bad luck for them I'm also a EU citizen) GDPR bureau. These people are mischievous liars. They lie when they sell (the "Full 30 day refund" is a hoax), and they lie about refunding you. Their software sucks and it is rigged to milk your money.

Unsolicited debits for a product not asked for.
I have been a System Mechanic user for a number of years, approximately from version 5. 2 years ago (or thereabouts) I noticed a debit had been made from my bank account. I will be contacting PayPal to complain about your fraudulent charges for a service that I never authorized...
This company will rob you for a monthly charge of $19.95 per month for something that was not mentioned as a recurring charge that is said to be for live tech support. I did not know or authorize this payment when I purchased their crappy software.
PLEASE DO NOT BUT! STAY AWAY FROM THESE ROBBERS
BE AWARE OF THEIR FRAUDULENT CREDIT CARD CHARGERS
Desired outcome: To be reinbursed three month of $19.95 = $59.85
On September 16 IOLO automatically billed my account for $39.95
On September 16, IOLO charged $39.95 to my account without my consent. The payment was made without my authorization. I was unaware of any setup for automatic payments. After requesting a refund on September 16, I received an email promising a full refund within eight business hours. Despite assurances from customer service, I have yet to receive the refund as of October 4.

On 8/20/2022 I purchased iolo System Mechanic Standard and during setup was offered to upgrade to System Mechanic Ultimate Defense for $15. I accepted the offer and finished the installation. On 8/21/2022 I received a notification from PayPal that I had been charged $79.99 and a monthly recurring charge of $79.99 had been added to my account. At this time I contacted RealDefense, LLC and requested a refund of all products $14.99 for iolo System Mechanic Standard and the $79.99 I had been charged for System Mechanic Ultimate Defense and cancelation off my product license. I was told that a full refund would be issued but have not had refund issued, subscription removed, or any explanation as to why this has not yet happened.
In response to an email notice that my subscription was expiring, I paid Iolo $27.75 on 8/8/2022. The process involved multiple screens and multiple product names. In the end I believed I had paid for another year of service on their new software. As of today I was told that I paid for an "upgrade" but the original subscription was still due to expire on 8/31/2022. They seem to believe that it is fine to collect $27.95 for three weeks of upgrade subscription. I believe they are pulling a "bait and switch" and have removed all of their software and will no longer use their services. They refuse to refund even though the charges are clearly out of line with what they offer.

I requested a refund but Iolo said I had waited too long. Since I had over a year to go on my subscription I just let it expire. On June 14, 2022 Iolo deducted $9.61 from my checking account. In order to cancel a recurring subscription, a link is provided to enter an email address to receive an email to log in to your account to cancel online. The email never arrives. I contacted the customer service email they provided for a company that handles online payments, who said they did not process my order, despite being directed there via email. I did not want that subscription to renew, and it did anyway. I then called their customer service number requesting to cancel an auto renewing subscription, and also requested to not have my yearly subscription renewed against next year and to not charge my credit card ever again and they said that was not possible and that it is in the terms and conditions that they can charge me again for the subscription when the annual fee is due again, despite me calling and requesting to turn off auto renewal, which they said they cannot do. I cannot see how a company can force you to pay an annual renewal fee if you request to opt out and to no longer charge a credit card.

I was charged $19.95 for a tech support product I never authorized. Call *** and was given the runaround. I simply want a refund and to never have any other business conducted with this company.
I bought their software system mechanic , i didn't like it , it came with a 30 day money back policy , I told them I wanted my money back , they just wanted to change the subject , simple as that, the software was poor and the customer service as even more so , I'm just at a point that this is the only remedy i can see rectifying this situation and maybe a bad mark will get them to change their business practices.
I placed an order for "System Mechanic" around April 2nd. I noticed that they added on a 19.95/mo charge for "technical support" I emailed them right away as you can see from the first screenshot asking them to make sure the auto-renew was off on both items. You can see they confirmed that it was. You can see by the 2nd screenshot that it was NOT. If it was even remotely possible to handle this on their website I would have but they make it near impossible to do anything on their sites pertaining to charges. Order #*** (the order number given to me upon purchase) I wish for the 19.95 that was charged to me to be refunded AND to have auto-renew turned OFF for ANY products AND to remove my credit card from all their records
Contract breach stated lifetime subscription with all features now trying to charge for new features
Contract breach stated lifetime subscription with all features now trying to charge for new features. When I initially purchased the lifetime subscription to System Mechanic it was advertised as full upgrades for a lifetime. From the initial purchase of lifetime I received ALL features unlocked and fully upgraded that is until the latest version was released. I have basic functions but now the new features are locked behind a pay wall. I paid 99.95 + 5.00 TAX in 2018 and the order number was #XXXXXXXX. When I contacted them they stated the new version is not part of the lifetime product upgrade. I feel this is bait and switch. They basically changed the name from system mechanic to system mechanic ultimate defense to try and get around the contract but the product is no different then other versions that had different features some of which are now locked behind a pay wall when they were not in the last version. I never would have forked out the money for a lifetime subscription if I knew later I would be prevented from using features.

On 2/9/22, I purchased two programs from Real Defense LLC using a visa credit card. One was an identity protection for my computer for 3-years, mycleanid, for $ 239.00 purchased at ***(*** The second was a 24/7 technological assistance program for 3-years, advanced tech support, for $ 576.00, purchased at ***. I dropped both services on 7/22/22, and was told I would get refunds in 7-10 business days. I was told by an agent on 7/28 that I would get a refund of $ 172.67 on the $239.00, and a second refund for $ 496.00 on the $ 576.00. Today, 8/4/22, a different agent told me that no refunds will be given because I dropped after a heretofore-unknown-to-me 30-60 day money back guarantee period had passed. I think that I should get the prorated refunds first promised on 7/28. It is apparent that the refund policy is capricious and inconsistently-applied. I had been a customer advance tech support for many years before it merged with the IOLOStore. Since you cannot locate the company, it is obvious that it is a scam. If you can help me in any way, I would be most appreciative. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company on these matters. Thank you.

I've used a security service for years; it's now Real Defense
I have used a security service for years; then they changed their name/owner to Real Defense. I contacted RealDefense because I could not connect to the Internet. A representative at RealDefense suggested purchasing their software to fix any issues. I agreed, but without an internet connection, the software was ineffective. They connected me to a technician who struggled with English and claimed my PC was too old to fix. Despite the service previously resolving my issues for years, when I requested a refund, they processed it as a cancellation, preventing me from getting my money back as nothing was installed on my PC. On a follow-up call, a staff member claimed the account was locked and the bank had charged back the payment, which was false. My bank confirmed the payment to Real Defense without a refund. A dispute case I opened resulted in a response from RealDefense stating I wasn't entitled to a refund, but without any physical documentation, it's a matter of their word against mine. They likely lied about the software installation since they couldn't access my PC.

On June 4, 2022, I contacted RealDefense, LLC, about a software license I had previously purchased (System Mechanic) for Windows
On June 4, 2022, I contacted RealDefense, LLC, about a software license I had previously purchased (System Mechanic) for Windows. During the call, the technician for RealDefense, LLC, proposed a "no-risk, money-back guarantee" for trying an identity theft protection service. Though reluctant, after receiving reassurances that I would receive a refund if I wasn't fully satisfied, I agreed to purchase the service. I paid through PayPal because I believed the transaction would be protected. The service included a software application called MyCleanID, which ostensibly would scan my PC for malware and other risks. However, when I attempted to download the software, I received multiple warnings from a trusted malware-protection application (MalwareBytes) that the software (MyCleanID) was unsafe, so I did not install the software. I did some preliminary research online, and it seems the software MyCleanID has been used to scam individuals, possibly to steal identity information. I contacted RealDefense within an hour of purchasing the service to cancel the service and receive a refund. The technician/salesperson confirmed the cancellation and I expected a full refund. Instead, RealDefense did not refund my money. After filing a dispute through PayPal, RealDefense claimed I had received a product for the purchase price and would not refund my $199. Now it seems I am the victim of a scam where a company pitches a service through hard-sell techniques by playing on the victim's fear and then refusing a refund when the victim tries to cancel the transaction.

I have used the system mechanic product for several years
I have used the system mechanic product for several years. It is a computer suite with file cleanup, privacy, password, and anti-virus utilities. I purchased the product to 11/2031 based on system maintenance and password vault performance. However, I have not been able to use the system shield anti-virus product despite several attempt to engage customer support to correct this issue. I have had to pay for a separate anti-virus. I finally took 3 solid vacation days to try to address this issue. The system shield anti-virus would not load on startup on two separate systems, a legacy xenon Windows 10 desktop or a new windows 11 laptop. When I tried to manually start the system shield anti-virus, it indicated that it would not run due to an existing legacy anti-virus. Having run an IT business, I ensured that prior anti-virus were not installed. I had uninstalled them via the control panel. I had uninstalled them with the manufacturer clean tools. I had uninstalled via a 3rd party clean tool. I had manually scrubbed the registry, elevating my privileges to administrator and even system access as required. Windows security flagged there was no antivirus protection in that state. I contacted tech support and their tech support agent followed similar steps on a test profile. After an entire day (unusual investment), they suggested the only thing left to do was reinstall the operating system from scratch. Given the laptop was new, that was impractical. What needed to happen was for them to disable this competitor check. Looking online I see this is a recurring error, with the solution typically that other customers simply buy another product. If I wasn't an engineer that prefers to solve issues, hadn't paid until 11/2031 in 11 purchases, and liked the password manager, I would have punted as well.

Software worked from June to Oct
Software worked from June to Oct. Then created error that rendered computer useless. Requested fix. Got the runaround. Refused refund. Software worked fine for months. Starting about two weeks ago, I began to be unable to unzip downloaded files. ANY unzip program would view the files as broken archives. I spent hours trying to figure out the problem. Eventually I learned that if I uninstalled System Mechanic, they would download and unzip fine. Then I reinstalled SM to confirm and the zip conflicts came back. So I uninstalled and contacted customer service via chat on the Iolo.com website. They told me they would need to remotely connect to my computer. I was hesitant but gave them access. THEN they said it'd take 4-6 hours for them to get to it. That seemed insane to leave my computer open to access that long but they swore all was well, so I did. I left it overnight. This morning. Nothing. The session was closed so I contacted them again and asked for status. They said it would take 12-24 hours to resolve. I said I just want a refund at this point. For 30-45 minutes they kept saying they'd resolve it and soon and immediately and ASAP but wouldn't lock down when that would be. Finally I said look, I just want a refund. Then they said if I called on the phone they'd help me right then. I said I dont have TIME to call, just have them get into my system. They refused. So I demanded a refund. I've burned FAR too much time already and they are dodging the fix. They said they ahve a 30 day policy so they wouldn't refund my money. So they won't refund the money but it has BROKEN my computer when it is active...and they keep delaying being willing to DO anything about it. I told them I had nothing I felt I could do at this stage other than file an official complaint. *** W. was the name of the chat agent, but I'm pretty sure they just use generic names.

May 9th of 2022, I contacted **** support regarding an upgrade I had just purchased
May 9th of 2022, I contacted *** support regarding an upgrade I had just purchased. The upgrade of the product was not working properly. I allowed a service technician named *** access to my computer. To correct the issue. He spent over an hour looking through my personal files and programs. After he correct the issue. He without my consent installed a product called My Clean ID. Then he proceeded to scan my computer and expose my logins and passwords. I have no way of knowing if he copied them. Then he proceeded to pressure me into purchasing the product. After having all that information exposed and not know if he screen shoot the information. I felt I had no choice but to purchase the product. After about six hours I realized how much the technician pressured me. So, I contacted The company and explained everything. I was told on May 10th 2022. I would receive an email for the refund of the product. This never happened, instead I received 3 phone calls from the technician. Each time requesting access to my computer, for which I refused. This can be construed as intimidation for requesting a refund. I contacted them again and told them what he had been doing. They put me on a no call list and gave me a ticket number. I contacted them again and was told that the issue was being escalated. They then told me I would receive an email by Friday on the status of my refund. Again this did not happen. I also told them that I wanted the upgrade refunded. Because when I purchased the upgrade it came with a 30 money back guarantee. Then they inform me that the product key cannot be down graded only upgraded. Then I was informed I would have to buy a new license 6 months before the one I purchased expires. In order to get a refund on the upgrade. what I want is the software I was basically forced into buying refunded. I would also like a new license key for the original software I purchased and the 30 day money back guarantee honored.

On 6/9 I paid Iolo Support $240.00 for a 12 month extension for repair or maintenance of 3 computers
On 6/9 I paid Iolo Support $240.00 for a 12 month extension for repair or maintenance of 3 computers. I have been a customer since 2017 and paid a annual fee for professional service. Order # ***. The company was to provide professional service issues that may develop on any one of my 3 computers. After the prior service checkup I noticed that they had left there sign in ADMISISTRAOR ON MY COMPUTER and I felt that they may be able to log into my computer at any time. On May 27, 2022 I contacted Iolo and requested that they have a tech remove the Administrator sign in from my HP laptop since when I attempted to log in it gave me a choice, Adminastar or my log in name.. Iolo assigned a tech by the name of *** who appeared to me as a tech that he was probably a new be since I had to restart my laptop at least 3 times while he attempted to remove the Administrator issue from the computer. This was a very simple job for him to complete in a timely manner HOWEVER Iolo had to ISSUE 3 separate repair tickets for this simple issue, Ticket numbers *** and the final result was he destroyed my computer, fried it and now the company is trying to make excuses as to why my laptop that was running very well and no other issues except the Administrator issue which the tech destroyed and is liable for.and they refuse my request to reimburse me for the replacement HP laptop, cost of laptop $265.61 with tax and $50.00 for a local tech to set it up for me brining the total to $315.61 The refuse to call me back, I left messages and was informed that they would call back in a hour, but they never did. I am 87 years old, a Korean disabled vet and I needed my laptop to do the legal work that I do for income, I took the destroyed laptop to a highly rated computer repair shop here in Medina ohio who stated that the computer is shot, fried and that the techs statement that it will work is a lie. IOLO is doing NOTHING .

I've been with the company since December
I've been with the company since December. I turned off auto-renewal last year. I got an email in July from the company that my subscription was to expire and I should "add time". The company often offers discounts to add time early. I renewed through their "add time" link. It offered a discount price of $11.98 for a one year renewal + 24/7 service. All looked the same and there was a big green check out box for $11.98 renewal. I just realized that they have been billing my credit card $19.95 a month since August for a 24/7 service. I called to complain about this service I did not order and they said if I added time I automatically got the 24/7 service and it was only "free" for one month, then $19.95 after that. I reviewed the original link I got in July and in fine print 2 lines below the renewal price of $11.98 was a line that said I had to pay for the 24/7 after the first month. The drop-down box for the renewal price of $11.98 does not offer an opt-out for this extra service, so you get it (on first glance for free with your renewal) whether you want it or not and it is your obligation to cancel it before a one month period expires. That seems very deceitful to me. I've been a loyal customer for 12 years and have never needed any tech service from them (after all, that's basically what I buy their product for.) Now suddenly I want a $240 a year service for a product that only cost $11.98 for me to renew? I asked them on the phone to cancel this service and refund the $79.80 I was charged for this extra service. After blaming me, they reluctantly said they would refund the last charge for this service ($19.95 for November). I said that was not sufficient and I wanted the whole amount refunded as they are not authorized to bill my card as they have done. I see now that they refunded 2 of the 4 months they billed me for this service, but that makes me out $39.90 for something I didn't want.

07/24/2022 Real Defense, LLC attempted an unauthorized software purchase
On July 24, 2022, Real Defense, LLC attempted to illegally acquire software. The transaction initially failed due to insufficient funds, leading them to reduce their service price. Despite my efforts to halt the purchase by deleting my card details and contacting them through their purchasing agent, they persisted. On July 25, I reached out twice, insisting they cancel the order, but to no avail. By July 27, I had contacted them six times, including four times via their financial intermediary and twice through their website, before they completed the sale against my wishes. Their business practices involve probing bank accounts to secure sales, disregarding customer disinterest and preventative actions. The sale was finalized despite my objections. Their representative, whose identity remains unconfirmed, found my request for an immediate refund amusing, although their policy states delivery within seven to ten business days. This incident has led me to suspect theft, as I had not used their services for over a year and the purchase was unexpected.

I've had Tech Support for a long time, it was ATS before. It is costing me more and my only concern is each time it seems like there is something else I need and it runs into alot of money. But the tech support is wonderful. Cost is only thing.
I'm new to the service and like what I see so far.
I have been with this group when they were ATS, and now US tech support, I have been with this group a long time, and very pleased that I am. They perform quality work!
The technical support I just received was amazing. It took less than 10 minutes to properly address the problems I was experiencing.
